Pretty Nice Smart Light

I bought this to go along with our Echo because, well, why not. I was new to the smart light world and grabbed a well known brand with the starter kit to make sure I wouldn't need to keep adding things.
The kit was easy to set up and integrate with the Echo. I just followed directions and it went together quickly and with minimal effort.
I quickly tried to change the colors of the lights with simple Alexa commands and found out that that's not how it works, but using the Hue app to create scenes I found workarounds that performed fairly well.
That being said, the Hue app is pretty basic and needs a lot of updating to become truly useful. If you just want to turn on and off the lights or change their colors, it works well enough. However, more complex routines are a pain and, so far, limited to say the least.
My biggest complaint about the bulbs themselves is the color selection. It does pretty well on the primary colors, but I wanted a teal and orange (Miami Dolphins colors) and it could not do the teal well at all even though it's on the colorwheel when you configure the lights through the app.
Still, easy to configure and install, nice Echo integration, and some basic automated routines make it a good product that needs a little more maturity before I can give it 5 stars.

Great Price, Decent Mouse

I tend to drift to Logitech when it comes to mice and keyboards for work so I thought I'd give the gaming mouse a shot. The price made it appealing and the brand sealed the deal.
The mouse is a good mouse. It has decent response time and accuracy with a weight that's great for me. I don't like super light mice because they tend to drift under my hand. I, personally, get better accuracy with something of weight.
The battery life goes for a good amount of time before needing recharged so there's nothing to complain about there. Just plug it in when you're done and you're good for a marathon session.
My biggest complaint is the location of some of macro buttons. They seem intuitive, but when you actually have to click on them it takes some getting used to and I don't know why. I can't decide if they're just harder to press at that angle or if they're slightly askew. In any event, you adjust to it over time and they get much, much easier to use.

Unique, But A Little Monotonous

The original camera angles make a nice gimmick to draw you in, but there's actually a decent storyline hidden in there too. It's full of action and is really a non-stop ride from beginning to end.
Sharlto Copely is the film's saving grace as he brings characters to life and adds a dimension to the film that you don't expect.
However, the tasks begin to get longer and more similar and eventually you want something different. That's where the film falters. At the beginning of the third act it drifts into the familiar for about 15 minutes and it feels like they were just trying to stretch the film to a longer running time.
Still, it's fun, violent, full of action, and unique enough to warrant watching it.

Another Good Zack Snyder Movie

I'm not a huge Superman or Batman fan, but when I heard Zack Snyder was involved I wanted to see what he would do with it. I liked the Man of Steel movie and the direction he took with it so if you didn't like that, we're probably not on the same page.
The movie is good, not great, but definitely a nice introduction into the Justice League coming in the next few years. The special effects are great, the acting is pretty good, and the plot is ok.
Don't come into it looking for a heart touching drama or an epic tale and you'll be happy. Go into it looking for action and a fun ride and you've got the right mindset.

Convenience At A Low Cost

I bought this to go along with my charging case I got for the iPhone 6 Plus. It came with a charging pad, but it's large and rectangular which isn't ideal for travel purposes. On a whim, I picked up the Samsung wireless charger since its round shape is much easier to pack in a backpack when traveling.
The charger does exactly what I want it to do, it wirelessly charges my case and phone without me dragging out cables and routing them each night. I leave this in the hotel room or apartment and just slap down the phone when I get back there.
The case and pad have specific placement requirements that take a little getting used to, but once you get it down it's easy and reliable.
Well worth the money and a definite cord saver.

I bought several of these to replace the Apple ones that came with our devices because the Apple branded cables were much more expensive. There were other, cheaper options but they felt flimsy or were gimmick cables (light up, retract, etc).
We've had trouble with cheaper cables before, but these have been pretty good. They are durable and sturdy, especially for the price. However, we've had very few problems with these.
My only complaint is after a length of time, some only accurately charge when inserted one direction. The lightning adapter doesn't care so I'm assuming it's the connectors on the cable itself. But you get your money's worth and I'm pleased overall.

Good, but not what I wanted

I bought this recharge kit shortly after burying the Xbox One because I wanted a storage place and didn't want cables strung out everywhere. And this does exactly that so I give it high points for the basic requirement.
However, it comes with its own battery packs and doesn't work with the Microsoft rechargeable packs. I had to swap them out, but these packs in and basically store my Microsoft ones.
Yes I get why and it wood be nice if you didn't buy the Microsoft ones, but why reinvent the wheel? Just make it charge via the usb port or give me a standard battery case adapter.
The lights are nice and bright and show charge status, the stand itself is nice and let's you pop it up for storage or down for recharging. All great, but special packs are a pain.

Convenient Life Saver

I almost always get an extra battery pack case for my cell phones, but I'd held off on the iPhone6 Plus because the battery was pretty good on its own. However, when I saw a wireless charging adapter I thought I'd give it a try.
It provides enough power to where I rarely use the phone battery itself in a typical day. However, when I'm using it a lot I will see it hit the internal battery around 7-8 at night. Pretty nice not to worry about charging throughout the day. In that aspect, it's a nice battery pack.
The real beauty of it is the wireless charging though. Now I can have a base at home and a base for travel for convenience. But the real power comes in the fact that the cable is not plugged into the phone and therefore does not twist or fray and end up destroying the cable. It's an expensive alternative to destroying cables, but a nice one.
My only complaint is that since I've started using it, my iPhone has had intermittent problems with the touch screen working. At first I thought it was an iPhone problem (and it could still be), but then when I squeezed the battery pack tightly to the phone the problem goes away for awhile.
Otherwise, I love it and even bought another base (Samsung bases work with it) and am more than pleased with the performance.

More Than I Thought I'd Get

I am a fan of Logitech and typically buy their keyboards and mice or Microsoft's. I didn't expect too much from this little combo because it's cheap (price wise) and it's a basic keyboard and mouse combo. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I actually got from it.
The mouse is one of the solid, heavier weighted mice that I like because it doesn't float around under you hand. You can feel it and the weight makes it easier for me to move in finer increments. Solid construction makes it feel like you can use it without being afraid of breaking or damaging it.
The keyboard is a straight forward flat keyboard with a few multimedia buttons and some function keys. Nothing big or fancy, but it is smooth to type on and keeps up with you as you type (any decent wireless should be able to do that, but I've run into some even recently that cannot).
The keyboard nor mouse requires a lot of wake up time. When you don't use them for awhile, they reconnect and are active almost immediately. This is a very welcome feature.
My biggest complaint is the same for all the Logitech combos. They require a separate dongle to use instead of using Bluetooth. The dongle is small and pairing is super easy, but it's still an external dongle even if they are universal for Logitech. I wish they had the option of going Bluetooth or dongle, on the same keyboard.
I've had Bluetooth keyboards and mice in the past that lost pairing, took awhile to wake up, and disconnected and wouldn't reconnect until a power cycle, but when i travel I'd still like the option of not having to keep that separate dongle.

Nice Travel Stick

I bought this to replace my Amazon Fire TV that I used to carry while traveling. I wanted something a little smaller for my backpack and thought the stick would be just the thing. I was kind of right.
The stick does everything I used the Fire TV for (I don't play games on it) and the remote is a necessity when using it in a hotel where your phone will not work as a remote. I also have Roku sticks at home, but went with the Amazon stick so I could purchase movies without using yet another account.
The weaknesses that I have found so far:
1. None of the TV USB ports have enough power to power the stick. I thought it having a USB power adapter would have prevented me from searching for a power outlet near the tv (which can be challenging in some hotels). It powers up, warns you it's not enough, and then restarts. Every tv I've tried does the same thing.
2. While watching Prime, the stick "cut out" several times. It didn't say buffering or otherwise indicate bad wifi and it was in the same hotel that I had the full blown Fire TV in earlier and it worked just fine. However, the stick went to a black screen for a second or two 3 times in a 30 minute episode. Next episode, same result.

The box that it comes in isn't that much smaller, but that's because I opted for the remote version. The stick is definitely smaller. The remote works well from across the room so no complaints there. Also, the voice search is kind of nice and kind of a pain because it is self filtering. I'm waiting for improvements so you can search Netflix and Prime only.
Still, I'm very happy with the stick in general and will continue using it to see how it improves. Amazon is very good about updating and fixing issues so I'm not too worried about the glitches at this point.

Why can’t I get “create home” to save. It says “failed to save changes.
I couldn't get it to create a home in the IOS app and ended up doing it through the Android app. I've read there are a lot of issues since IOS 11 came out and I was using an iPhone (with 11) and an iPad (with an older IOS) and never had any luck, but the Android worked quickly.
