My youngest bought this game basically on a whim. He wanted to play some of the classics and thought the price was worth his money. He played it pretty hot and heavy for a few weeks and then it slid to the side while moved onto some of the newer titles.
Evidently, he flew through some of the classic games quickly while others lost his interest before he got too deep into them. He'd never really played the original versions so he was disenchanted with the reincarnations, but he still appreciated the games for their "retro" quality.
He bought it for $20 and said he'd do it again and has recommended it to his friends so it couldn't have been all bad!

I bought this game so my son and I could play a fighting game (and because Street Fighter isn't on the XBox One) and it's a good time. I started off button mashing and having some pretty good results, but as he actually practiced it didn't take long for him to catch up to my mashing abilities.
The graphics are nice (as you'd expect from this generation of consoles and games) and the action is as high speed or as stealthy as you are a fighter.
A lot of the fighters are familiar from the multitude of Mortal Kombats before it so I didn't come in unaware, but they have new moves, new sequences, and background interactions that give it some depth.
Like all fighting games, it gets a little repetitive after awhile, but it's still a good game that's easy to get into and takes some time to master. Her'es a little hint that my son failed to share with me until later into the game: you can see all the combo moves and finishing moves by pressing the menu button at any time.

I'll admit it, I'm an old guy for playing video games and I don't get into it very often so I won't have the indepth analysis or breakdown hardcore gamers will.
I love this game. I'd heard good things about it, the reviews were good so I went for it and I am not disappointed. It starts off with some basic training that is handled while building a storyline and doesn't feel like boring training. The action keeps moving along at a nice pace and the puzzles to move from step to step are actually fun. They give you some cheat methods, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to and I like the option.
The graphics are good, the game speed is good, and you can move around pretty freely even though it is a linear story.
My only real complaint so far is that you go on hunting missions to gain experience/advance weaponry and skills. I don't care to run around shooting animals with a bow and arrow to learn how to use the thing. I want the forward advancing story and the tasks. And yes, I know you can dictate how much farming you do at a time, but running around until I think I"m good just doesn't do it for me.

Lifeproof has always made good, quality cases and this one is no exception. After my son exchanged two iPhone 6 Plus's because they were warped (one in an Otterbox case), we decided to try something new. The Lifeproof case is slimmer than the Otterbox, easier to take off and put on, and they cost about the same. However, because of its slimmer build, the kids don't mind leaving it in the case so that's a plus.
The only negative they have reported was with the headphone jack. It seems to be a universal problem with water proof cases, but needing adapter to listen to wired headphones (unless they have the perfect connector) is a pain. With the cost of wireless headphones it is almost a non-issue, but when you have to use earbuds the problem rears its head again.
Other than that, a great case at a decent price.

Keep the action going with the Xbox One Play & Charge Kit. Recharge while you play or afterwards, even when your Xbox is in standby. The long-lasting rechargeable battery fully charges in under 4 hours. Say goodbye to disposable batteries and having to swap them out in the middle of a game.

Not Quite What I Thought

First things first, this shouldn't even be an option on today's controllers. Why the XBox One doesn't come with charging controllers I will never understand, but it is what it is and I knew that going in.
Instead of shucking out a lot of money on AA batteries, I thought I'd get these packs and all would be well. My son has a PS4 and his controllers have them built in, we bought him a charging stand, and it's nice and sleek.
However, I bought these and then I bought a charging stand and the two don't go together. I don't know if Microsoft offers a charging stand, but it wasn't in the store and I didn't feel like looking online.
The charging stand was $30 (I think) and came with rechargeable battery packs so I have these little packs for travel and the rechargeable ones for home use. Definitely not my choice if given one.
The packs swap out with the built in ones easily enough, they charge with a USB micro plug (universal so that's good), and they last quite a while. My only complaint is they cost significantly more than the charging station with rechargeable batteries that I bought a month later.

We bought this mount after trying one that articulated proved to be more hassle than it was worth. We needed a slight vertical tilt without worrying about locking down the horizontal rotation and this mount does exactly that.
It was easy to install, holds the television (a 32" Insignia) firmly and with the proper angle for mounting above the person's head.
I have no complaints to report.

The summary says it all. This tv is a good, cheap television that does what I needed it to do. It's being used for a status display so I don't have to worry about refresh rates or resolution on high speed video.
It has several inputs (VGA is what I needed and is becoming more and more rare).
It's a little slow to start up and the remote is very basic. Some of the default features (auto turn off) take fumbling around in the settings to change, but nothing too difficult.
For the price, you really can't beat it.

There's always more to buy online for a teenager with a Playstation 4 evidently. My son got this card to purchase additional content for some of the games he purchased in the past. I prefer using the cards to prevent charges to my credit card, just for the ease of balancing statements. It's also a good way to limit what they can accidentally purchase online. I have a $0 spending limit on his account through the card without approval, but he can get this card directly into his subaccount and do whatever he wants with it.

My 15 year old son bought this to download Steam games and to buy add-ons/kits for some games he already has. I didn't think the $20 would go very far, but he told me everything he bought with it and he still has a balance left over. I realize the game was a simplistic game, but he is a fan of the indie games or the mini-release ones for when he doesn't want to spend hours on online campaigns.
He was able to take the "coin" card idea a little further with this one than some of the other online cards and I can appreciate the flexibility in that. He's happy, I'm happy.

I'll preface this by saying I have not played the game, so I let me 13 year old son do the review portion of it for me.
He bought it because he's a big fan of Smash Bros and was hoping to get a game similar to that, but in reality he was let down by it. The graphics are fine, the gameplay is pretty smooth, but the variety of moves and abilities are nowhere near the same as the Smash Bros. games.
Doesn't make it a bad game, just not what he was hoping to get out of it.

Why can’t I get “create home” to save. It says “failed to save changes.
I couldn't get it to create a home in the IOS app and ended up doing it through the Android app. I've read there are a lot of issues since IOS 11 came out and I was using an iPhone (with 11) and an iPad (with an older IOS) and never had any luck, but the Android worked quickly.
