Nice Gaming System

First off, I'm not a huge gamer so the reason I purchased this was not to have the biggest or best system, but to have one with lots of options at a decent price. The $300 price tag put this over the PS4 for that reason.
It does everything I need it to do and it's easy to set up and use. My primary complaints are:
1. 500GB goes pretty fast when you download games. This had a redeemable code for 1 game and Gears of War was over 40GB. I knew there'd be limitations with the size of the drive, but I didn't realize how much storage games put on the drive.
2. Online access is nearly mandatory. I finally set it up to not require being full time connected, but it still feels the need to inform me every time I open anything that I'm not connected.

It's A Membership Card

Not a lot to say about this one. It's a year long membership to Sony's online network so you can't really rate the card so much as the service. My son uses it constantly and we've never had any trouble with activation or access. The view times the service has been down for an extended period, Sony issued a coupon to extend the service by that amount of time.

I needed a basic television with the proper VESA slots for wall mounting and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. I was torn between this one and the Insignia model with nearly the same specs. I bought this one because it was on sale for $20 less and I figured it would be fine for my needs.
It actually had a better picture than an older Dynex we had (both are 720p) so we ended up swapping the two out. This Westinghouse is now in a spot more often used. I'm very happy with the quality and the price. No real complaints to list.

Nice, Basic GPS

I bought this for my wife because she does a lot of driving for her work and her vehicle doesn't have built in GPS. She used her phone before and it worked well until she needed to be using it while getting directions. Something I hadn't thought of before.
The GPS suction mounts on the window easily and stays firmly, but you have the ugly power cord going from your window to your outlet. The battery only lasts a couple hours at most so you pretty much have to leave it plugged in the whole time. But really, even if it lasted longer I can't imagine unplugging it and plugging it in constantly.
The maps were updated and are fairly accurate. There has been some construction in our area in the past year and not all the businesses are on the maps, but I'm sure it's a matter of time. I just wish there was a way to get constantly updated maps from the satellite instead of hooking up to the computer.
The voice commands work pretty well, but not as well as a cell phone assistant. It can do the basic though and I'm guessing that'll just keep improving with each update. I actually chose this model because it had voice command and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the Bluetooth isn't very useful for what she uses it for and I'm not sure it's a necessary addition.
I give it 4 stars because it works well as a basic GPS and comes at a decent price for what it does. The roads are generally accurate and voice directions have nice landmark notes when they apply "Turn Left After QuikTrip". I knocked it down a star because the voice commands aren't on par with cell phone technology and there's no ota map updates.

A Necessity, But A Nice One

I had to buy an adapter for a new laptop without wired networking. I did some research on the options and bounced around with a few options. There are some cheaper options and there are some smaller options, but this one won me over for a couple of reasons.
My laptop only has 3 USB ports so using 1 for Ethernet left me with only 2 which isn't really adequate anymore. This is an Ethernet adapter with additional ports so I can solve two problems at once.
The ports on the module are USB3 so I'm not sacrificing speed by expanding my USB ports.
I've had no problems with Ethernet connectivity or with any of the USB devices I've plugged in. It's a simple product (no external power requirements is a plus too) that does what it's supposed to do.

A Very Good True Laptop

I never thought finding a laptop would prove to be so trying, but I was proven wrong when looking to upgrade recently. I needed a traditional laptop with power and flexibility, but I wasn't looking for a 2 in 1 or a tablet. I had a Sony VAIO and have always loved them, but they discontinued that line in favor of tablets.
I work in an industry that doesn't adapt to the latest technology quickly so a tablet wasn't going to work for me. A 2 in 1 would work, but I found they were either under powered or over priced. But then I ran across this Dell laptop and I found my saving grace.
The laptop has a dedicated video card (important for our applications), 12GB of RAM but expandable beyond that. 12 is a good starting point when you need to run virtual machines as I do. Being able to upgrade is even more important.
The screen is larger and beautiful at its native 4K resolution. The external option is pretty standard with HDMI out (though I discovered that's not truly standard anymore).
2 weaknesses that made me hesitate on initial purchase. There is no built-in wired networking, it's all wireless. Again, my industry doesn't allow wireless for security purposes so this was a concern. The other weakness was having Windows 10 preloaded. The built-in networking was solved with a standard USB to RJ45 converter and other than carrying a separate piece of hardware it is fine. The Windows 10 actually turned out to be much less of an issue than I thought. I use Microsoft products in it and use my other programs in virtual machines running older Windows versions. That keeps the boot up time short, keeps the main operating system pretty clean, and allows easier backup and restore of those virtuals.
The battery life is also pretty good. It doesn't hit the 8 hours or whatever they claim, but that's because I have a lot of stuff running, but it still gets me 5+ hours running on battery alone. Much better than a standard laptop.
So, other than those two concerns this laptop has actually worked out very well for me and I'm happy to have found it. I'm not a solid Dell guy, but this laptop has made me a little less apprehensive to purchase them in the future.

As the title says, this is my second LG Bluetooth headset. I needed a new pair because the left earpiece of my original pair quit working. It could have been my storage methods (in my travel backpack), but I honestly think it has more to do with the flimsy wire connecting the earbud to the headset. It's very thin and catches on things easily so it's possible it just became disconnected internally.
All of that aside, the sound quality from the headset is very nice. They're very affordable for a decent pair of Bluetooth earbuds and to get the sound quality with the price is a welcome surprise. No complaints about sound.
The headset itself is designed to wrap around your neck which takes a little getting used to, but it works great when you're doing any kind of exercise or yard work. They don't slide around or fall off your head and that's my whole goal with wireless headsets.
The pairing was easy and works pretty well, but I do get random drops while listening to music with my phone in my pocket. It's usually not too bad, but sometimes it can get annoying. I haven't found a pattern of why it randomly drops, but I do know that my wireless speaker and my Plantronics headset do not have the same issue.
My final complaint on this set is the button positions. The original set I had had buttons in convenient places to forward, reverse, volume up, and volume down. This one has buttons in a much less inherent configuration and I find myself taking the headset off to do anything or just using the phone.
Now, with all those negatives you would think I was unhappy with them, but I'm not. Not at all. I've tried several other brands out and they are either super expensive or the sound quality sucks or they're bulky, etc. These are lightweight, convenient to wear and use, last a long time on a charge, have very good quality sound, and do all of that at a reasonable price. I'm happy overall.

A Nice Portfolio Case

I opted for this style of case for a couple reasons. One was because I like the look of it more than a bulky case. However, the biggest reason was so I could have a screen protector without putting on a Zagg or similar. This cover works as a screen protector in my pocket or on the desk and moves out of the way when I use the phone. It's not water proof or drop proof or really any other kind of proof, but it protects the phone from normal wear and tear quite well.
My only real complaint I have about it is the way it handles the camera. When you open the case and use the phone, it's natural to flip the cover over. When you do this, there is no camera opening. So you have to sit there with the portfolio spread open wide to use the camera which make the whole thing a bit bulky and awkward.
The case also comes with slots for 2 credit cards in it, but I am leery of putting anything in there that could mar the screen when it's compressed (like being in my pocket where the phone is most of the time).

Best Headset I've Owned

This headset is definitely the best one that I've purchased and I would recommend it to anyone looking to get a bluetooth headset. It's not the cheapest, but that price comes with some excellent noise canceling that my others couldn't touch. The battery is fine, the additional charger case is nice (but you can't store the headset in it for charging with the ear hook attached), and the size is great.
So why only 4 stars? The actual piece that goes in the ear is too large to comfortably fit in my ear and there's no option to step down. It comes with 3 different sizes and they are all too large for me. I don't know if I have unusually small ears or if it has to be at least this big for some reason, but after a couple of hours it starts to hurt. Nothing unbearable or deal breaking, just uncomfortable.

Why can’t I get “create home” to save. It says “failed to save changes.
I couldn't get it to create a home in the IOS app and ended up doing it through the Android app. I've read there are a lot of issues since IOS 11 came out and I was using an iPhone (with 11) and an iPad (with an older IOS) and never had any luck, but the Android worked quickly.
