This movie was great. My wife and I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was. It was so funny, I took it to a friends house to watch it again. Everyone laughed their a**es off. Just watch it. It's a classic gory comedy.
What's great about it: This movie was hilarious!
What's not so great: Of course the plot's cheesey.

This movie would have been better if some one else did it. Spike Lee has a bad habit of going off on racial tangents that have nothing to do with the movie. It skips around too much, but keeps your interest just enough so you'll stick it out to see what happens, only to be let down at the end. Don't get me wrong, I like a couple of his movies, but this isn't one of them. My wife and I are movie buffs, and we both hated it. I say don't bother, there's plenty of other war movies out there much better than this.
What's great about it: The movie could have been better.

First of all, I love Zombie movies. That said, this is probably the worst zombie movie I've ever seen. If you like zombie movies, rent it, don't buy it unless it's like $5. You'll like a few scenes. The move jumps around too much and has terrible make-up and special effects. The plot is decent but the acting is terrible. Diary of the Dead was much better. If you don't like zombie movies, skip it.

I highly recommend this movie to any one who loves horror movies. I saw this in the theater and it had everyone on the edge of thier seats saying,"WOW!" when it was all over. My wife and I are huge movie buffs, especially in the horror genre. First person point-of-view movies are hard to pull off. Unlike Blair Witch Project, which was so jerky you couldn't tell what was going on and it made you sick, this movie is much more controled. You really feel like you're in there with them, and the nightvision makes it that much more intense. My wife and I saw it with some friends and we all loved it. The only negative comments I've heard, came from people who don't like first person point-of-view movies. If you liked movies like, 28 Days Later or Cloverfield, then you'll love this movie. I definitely recommend it!

This is an absolutely brilliant film. Suspense, intrigue, perfection. This movie is a must own, you'll want to watch it more than once. The kind of movie you want to stand up and applaud in the middle of your living room. The plot was great. The acting was supurb. Intensely facinating right up to the credits. I can't say enough, BUY IT!!!
The real DVD of Sin City has finally arrived -- and it is good. In fact, this release is brilliant. Not only does it split each individual story into their own separate uncut pieces as originally conceived in the comics, but just as expected with most of Robert Rodriguez's discs, the quality of the abundant extras are top-notch. If there's anyone in the movie business that clearly could be considered a teacher of the art, it's Rodriguez. Whether he's explaining how to make a movie with zero money or laying out how easy the world of cinema is with the dawn of the digital age, the man is the teacher whom every viewer wishes he or she could take continuing classes from. This extends to his ten-minute Cooking Schools, which make their triumphant return on this release as he takes you through how to cook late-night Sin City breakfast burritos! Face it, though, this is Frank Miller's baby, and thankfully, his stamp of approval is all over this sucker. From the animated menus to his commentary track with Rodriguez all the way to his narration of individual characters and settings in the world of Sin City, there's plenty of Frank Miller to chew on throughout the two discs. If that wasn't enough, this edition comes with a sized-down reprint of the first Sin City comic, The Hard Goodbye, which can be used as a comparison guide to the finished product. On top of all of this, add in some Quentin Tarantino and Bruce Willis audio-commentary action, plus Rodriguez's patented 15-Minute Flick School (which sadly only clocks in at 12 minutes), plus much, much more! This is the one and only true edition of Sin City that's worth the price of the purchase, and, yes, it was indeed worth the wait.

This is definitely one of the greatest movies ever made! They did a great job turning this graphic novel into a movie, or should I say novel-come-to-life. I highly recommend the extended version because you get two different versions of the film. One is seperated the way it was intended, the other is the theatrical. The theatrical has some things cut out but has all the stories meshed together. I recommend watching both, you won't be disappointed.
What's great about it: Both versions of the movie!

I knew when I got it there would be some singing, (hence opera) but I didn't think they were going to sing through the whole movie. Just like Sweeney Todd, this was a perfectly good movie ruined by singing. I have several friends who saw this and said they too didn't understand the singing. If you like silly Disney movies, then I guess you'll like it. Nevermind the R rating, this is a kids movie!

I will never understand movies with singing. Singing is for stupid Disney movies for kids. This would have made a terrific movie had it not been ruined by singing. I asked 26 people for there opinions on this movie, 23 of them said the movie was great except for the singing. I agree. The other 3 actually liked the singing. To me it's pointless and unrealistic. I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton, but they screwed this one up.
What's great about it: Plot, acting, special FX, etc.

My wife and I are huge movie buffs, especially in the horror genre. If you know anything about Aleister Crowley or just love horror movies about the occult, you're going to love this movie. Written by the lead singer of Iron Maiden, this movie has a good balance of fiction and nonfiction, shocking and disturbing yet quite humorous. This movie was so good we wanted to turn around and watch it again. I even recomended it to some friends and everyone of them loved it. So, my advice to you, my fellow movie buffs, is to watch this movie!
Pinhead and his Cenobite pals are back to conquer outer space in Hellraiser: Bloodline, the fourth installment to the highly popular Hellraiser series. Dimension Films has done a fair job on this 1.85:1 non-anamorphic widescreen transfer. The image sports vivid colors and dark black levels, though some grain and dirt still penetrates the picture. There is a general lack of detail in many of the shapes as well as a small amount of edge enhancement in a few key scenes. The fact that this is a non-anamorphic transfer makes this disc very disappointing. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English. This is a fairly impressive soundtrack that utilizes directional effects through both the front and rear speakers in many instances. All aspects of the soundtrack sound free of any excessive distortion or hiss. Also included on this disc are English subtitles. As for extra features, the only thing fans have to look forward to on this disc are some sneak peeks at some other Dimension Films titles, including the Scream box set and Children of the Corn 666: Isaac's Return. All in all, this is a very standard and unexciting edition of this horror sequel.

If you liked the other H*llraiser movies, then you'll love this addition to the series. This movie revolves around the origin of the box. This movie was technically the fourth in the series, and in my opinion the last good one. (They went down hill after this one.) It's not as good as the classic first two were, but definitely worth checking out.
What's great about it: The plot was great.
What's not so great: The acting could have been better.
