Logitech Lift - definitely a different feel...
on May 3, 2022
Posted by: banjo

Regular mouse for comparison – Logitech MX Master.
This is the first “lift” mouse I have tried – and it definitely has a different feel than a standard mouse. The angle of the lift mouse shifts “resting weight” from the heel of my hand to the side of my hand. This may prove a real benefit from those that have developed stress-related discomfort from prolonged use of a standard mouse. The mouse seems a little bit small for my pretty normal sized male hands, and with more use I might settle in with the differences and experience a “new normal” from using the lift design. Weight of the mouse is very light, and using a lighter mouse for a long period of time would certainly reduce hand and wrist fatigue.
The pairing with Bluetooth or the dongle works well, and depending on your preference either type of connection should provide reliable use.
All in all – an “ergonomic” mouse such as the lift really boils down to who is using the mouse, hand size, and how you hold the mouse and distribute the weight of your hand. After using this mouse for a few hours I became more accustomed to the feel, and would not have a problem using this as my main mouse if needed. My personal preference is the heavier MX mouse – and I think that is probably because that is what I am used to, and have no issues with the MX that are solved by using the lift.
BestBuy is good about having mouse selections on display so you can literally “put your hands on one” – so I would recommend that you test drive the lift mouse display model to see if it fits you. There are two models – one for “small-medium” and one for “medium-large” hands – so that is also something to consider when making your decision.
No question that Logitech is an industry leader in mouse design and innovation. I cannot recall ever having an issue with a Logitech – so the main consideration is to find the model that best suits your individual needs. If you have a repetitive stress issue, or have discomfort from using a “standard” moust for extended periods, then the lift mouse may be a good solution for you.

Universal connectivity for classroom and meetings
on February 6, 2022

Universal device connectivity for classroom and meetings….
The most significant strength of this IOGEAR - Mini Wireless is the ability to connect (just about) any device to a monitor. I have used Miracast in a similar manner, but that limits the type of device that can project to the monitor and is sometimes a bit touchy when setting it up to get everything synchronized.
As long as your TV/monitor has an HDMI port the IOGEAR will allow you to connect Windows, Mac, Android, iPad, Chromebook – just about any device that has wireless capability. As a teacher, this has come in handy in the classroom and allows students to display their work (graphs, charts, digital drawings, screenshots, etc.) on the classroom monitor for presentations and discussion.
Set up is pretty easy – just plug in the HDMI dongle and connect USB to either monitor or a separate USB power block. The monitor displays connection instructions and the “login” to access the self-generated Wi-Fi network to connect to the dongle.
Quality of the image is going to be dependent on the device that is casting the stream. The recommendations for 4K quality streaming call for a more modern computer/tablet, but for presentations and most videos the quality is OK – this allows my students with a modest laptop/tablet/android to present without any problems. For streaming a high-quality video for an extended period of time a more modern computer will minimize any lag or occasional pixelation. The IOGEAR will step down to 1080p to maintain consistency of the stream and image, and for screen-sharing presentations and video clips I have not found this to be a problem – everything on the screen has good quality and accurately reflects what is on the broadcasting device.
Please note: I am using the IOGEAR strictly for presentations and short video clips – with occasional use for longer videos without the need to have 4K quality or concerns for video lag. There are other reviews that cover the use of this device for gaming and consistent 4K quality – so if you are interested in those applications please read the other reviews for feedback on those applications.
Overall, the IOGEAR is well-suited for my specific needs, which are to have a “universal” device that allows just about any laptop/tablet/iPad/Android/iPhone/Chromebook to connect without a complicated setup requirement. For that use, I would recommend this product as an inexpensive solution for classroom, meetings, and other group activities.
Peace from Central Georgia!

Pretty neat for tootin’ around….
on January 22, 2022

OK I’m an adult 6' height around 230-ish weight half-way through the 60's bracket, and this caught my eye as something pretty slick for tootin’ around and honestly a nice new toy to have on hand to show the kids I still got it going on.
Out of the box it’s easy peasy just lock the steering column in place and screw in the handles and off you go. The ride is very stable and on an older street it is a little “bumpy” since the wheels are semi-solid and not much for suspension to speak of, although on a smooth street or interior surface it is a very smooth ride.
Under ideal conditions, I can get up to 15-ish mph in the “Sport Mode” which is noticeably more powerful than the “Eco” and “Normal” modes. LED headlight is nice but be safe as that isn’t going to get the attention of street traffic – this is not a roadway electric motorcycle – just a little electric scooter for messing around the neighborhood or patrolling the school parking lot.
Braking is an electric brake on the handlebars and a “stomper” brake on the back wheel if needed. I found that unless it was a severe situation, just releasing the throttle stops the scooter pretty quickly, and hitting the brakes was usually a little “too much” outside of some type of emergency.
Bluetooth speaker is a nice touch at this price point, as it is loud enough to be heard and nothing gets folks laughing out loud like and old-timer on a high-tech electric scooter rocking along to the “Hits of the 70’s” and tootin’ down the street.
There are a LOT of Hover-1 models to choose from, and this one seems right for me as it can carry me along quite nicely and has a good bit of battery power, moves smoothly, and has the built-in speaker. More expensive may have a little softer ride with tires and suspension, bigger battery, more lights, and a few other features, but the Highlander lets me have my fun without having to go “top end” to get a nice new toy.
If you are a heavier adult, or want more run time, then maybe go up to a higher model – but I’m perfectly satisfied with the Highlander.
Peace from Central Georgia!

Some very nice features for calls but music is meh

Belkin - SOUNDFORM Freedom Wireless Earbuds
Some very nice features but lacking in other areas.
With so many choices of wireless earbuds on the market, it always pays to compare the features for earbuds in your price range to get what you need, as the different brands may or may not meet your particular requirements. With that said, this review is based on my personal preferences and needs.
The Belkins have excellent battery life and reasonable sound. Setup and pairing are seamless and the earbuds maintain a good connection at reasonable distances if you walk around the house without your phone in hand. The fit is snug and comfortable for extended periods of use. If you remove an earbud to have a chat, the buds will automatically “pause” and then resume when you put the bud back in. There is a built-in “Air Tag” feature for finding a lost or misplaced earbud, which works OK and would come in handy if you tend to roam about and are concerned about losing a bud on your adventures. During phone calls, there is a function Belkin calls “Environmental Noise Cancellation” which is similar to ANC, and this helps with the clarity of your voice when making calls – but this only works during phone calls and is not available for other uses. So for these purposes, the Belkins work well and perform acceptably for listening to music and videos, and catching phone calls. The sound quality is OK, but the range and response might be less than desired if you are used to high-end earbuds or headphones. Wireless charging is a nice feature if you are used to having that for your devices.
Features that I personally miss are a phone app to check battery levels and customize the sound and controls. You control all functions from the taps/buttons on the earbuds, and as with all buds with button controls, you will want to play around to get the hang of what taps perform what functions. For the price, I would have expected ANC, and if you are used to buds or a headset with ANC, you will definitely notice the difference.
Overall, if you use your buds for a lot of phone calls and like wireless charging, these may suit your needs. If you are sensitive to music quality and want to personalize your sound settings, and are used to having ANC, you might want to consider an alternative model.
Happy Holidays from Central Georgia!

Hard to go wrong with Adobe...

Adobe - Premiere Elements 2022 for Windows
As with all software of this type, there is a learning curve needed to make use of all the different functions and features. With that in mind, there is a multitude of guides and tutorials both built into the software and also on YouTube to see what is possible and learn how to do it. If you are serious about your video editing and looking to create some nice video presentations that can use both standard video aspect and “phone” aspect videos, then this software is worth a good look.
Using the software itself, there are different levels to use, depending on how familiar you are with the program – ranging from a guided “step-by-step” for beginners all the way to “expert mode” that allows full use of all available features and functions.
There are many functions that are geared towards using the aspect ratio provided by phone videos to create a full-frame video, as well as special “social media” features that can create a nice presentation with effects from a collection of pictures and/or videos. The AI “Artificial Intelligence” analysis of video clips also enhances video automatically when used.
There is a good organizational system that will tag videos and sort them by different tags. For those with a large existing collection of videos, these can be analyzed and sorted with an “Auto Curate” function that does a pretty good job of finding the best quality videos and sorting them by quality, subjects (people, pets, landscapes) – with suggestions for the best videos to use.
Even after using the software and trying different features, there is still a lot to be discovered and there does not seem like much this software will not do without going to professional level software. If you are a hobbyist or don’t require the most complex manipulation of videos, the Adobe Premiere Elements should pretty much cover all the bases for you.
There is a trial version of the software that you can download and try for yourself on the Adobe web site, so if you are looking to switch from a more limited software package or want to see if the Adobe can perform some function or video editing feature that you would like to have, it would be a simple matter to download and install the trial version to see if it meets your requirements. You might also check YouTube and have a quick look at some of the demonstrations and tutorials to see the full potential of the software.

Sore joints and neck get good pinpoint treatment.

Calming Heat - Flexi Wrap – Grey
Sore joints and neck get a good pinpoint treatment.
This is a good alternative to the classic “heating pad” as it lets you get a focus on the particular joint or muscle that needs heat and vibration therapy.
Wraps nicely around a wrist, knee, shoulder, elbow, and oh yes it is great for the stiff neck at the end of the day when sitting in front of a computer screen for several hours. I found that trying a few different wrapping methods for the particular area I wanted to focus on helped me get the best results with good coverage.
A couple of things to check when you are wrapping an area are to be sure the heat and vibration control buttons are where you can get to them (not under the wrap) and that you have a good snug contact with the area if you want to use the vibrating mode. For your limb wraps, it seems to work best if you “coil” the wrap without crossing over so the wrap is in contact with your skin for the entire length of the wrap. I found that taking a little extra time to try several different wrap patterns helped me find the best pattern for the particular part of the body I was pinpointing.
The vibration is a little “soft” but this isn’t really supposed to be a massage unit, so the vibration is nice to help with circulation and combined with the heat I felt like it helped to “loosen up” a sore joint.
A good feature is having a long cord so I can move around a little in the chair or on the sofa without having to worry about pulling the cord out – lots of slack. The weighted design and Velcro of the wrap helps it to stay in place and to me provides a better contact to get the heat and vibration to the specific area being treated.
Overall this is a very nice step up from the “pad” approach to heat treatment, and the added feature of the vibration (soft massage) seems to provide greater relief. If you are a “sore neck” person, this would be a particularly good device to have on hand to help you settle down after a day at the digital office.

Very creative & customizable for simpler designs!

Very creative & customizable for simpler designs!
The Twinkly Tube-Flex really shows off the latest technology in LED strips with a fantastic variety of colors from the LEDs and has almost unlimited customization available from the app. As other reviews have noted, the length of the light strip limits the designs that can be created, so plan to use a design that will work with the limits of the strip. The lighting display itself is very fluid as the light from each LED is diffused by the strip covering – in other words you don’t see individual lights on the strip which makes the lighting effect very smooth and “tube like” instead of showing individual points of light. This is a nice effect and it looks like “fluid light” flowing through the strip – even when using a “sparkle light” effect.
Mounting brackets are provided if you want to make a permanent display, but I have settled for a foam backboard to avoid drilling holes in the wall until I have settled on a design for permanent display. The power cord is long enough to allow the light strip to be fairly high on the wall, but the cord is standard size and is clearly visible coming off the light strip. All these are things to keep in mind when planning a display with the Tube-Flex – it is so customizable with pretty much unlimited light patterns that your ideas for designs will always need to consider the length and flexibility of the strand, and your connection to the power supply. The light cable is flexible enough to create a curved design, but “right angle” corners will always have a little curve to them.
Build quality seems excellent as the cables and controls seem very durable and should last a long time. Indoor use only for this particular product.
Setup took almost no time, and after downloading the app to my phone and turning on the light strip, pairing with my home network was successful and allows full “remote control” of the light strip through the phone app. It even integrated with my Alexa, although now it is only possible to turn the strip on and off, adjust the brightness of the lights, and change to a solid color. Telling Alexa to load a specific pattern (other than a solid color) still does not seem to work, but maybe an upgrade for the app will come along to allow changing patterns with a voice command.
Once the light strip is set up and connected to the app, you might end up spending a lot of time “playing around” to see the different patterns and creating your own patterns and colors. The app really shines for this, as you have a “light mapping” function that allows you to control the entire strand down to the individual lights. I found a lot of patterns that can be downloaded, and although they are for all the different Twinkly light products, those that are not specifically for the Tube-Flex still work and can be modified with the app.
The Tube-Flex is a lot of fun and a very colorful and customizable light strip. If you can stick with a design that can work with the length of the strip and manage the power cord, you should have a lot of fun trying different patterns or making your own display pattern.

Good fit and battery life + IPX7 rating
on October 6, 2021
Posted by: banjo

OK I have reached the “collector” category of BlueTooth wireless earbuds, and have a good assortment ranging from the economy “no frills” models to some high-end “got it all” models. Honestly I’m not quite sure where to put the Anker 2S, and depending on what you are after they could meet the need.
FIT – this is always at the top of my list, as the fit really determines how everything else works on a pair of earbuds. I like the “wings” design like you find on sport-oriented earbuds, as they practically lock in your ears and don’t require a lot of readjusting to keep the buds in optimum position. The 2S earbuds definitely fit nicely, and stay securely in place for extended use. The snug fit helps to overcome the lack of ANC.
SOUND – the app that comes with these buds has a very good selection of pre-sets, and there is a noticeable difference as you try them out to find your personal preference. The bass can be cranked up if you like, and there are also some good settings that bring out the highs and are respectable for the mids. Overall, I am OK with the sound quality and especially at this price point haven’t tried anything that sounds better.
BATTERY – definitely one of the top features, as the 10 hours per charge holds true, and the case has wireless charging (a bit slower) which is mostly missing from other brands at this price point – very handy and hard to go back once you get used to having several devices with wireless charging. There is also USB C charging, and also a “quick charge” that will get you an extra hour or so with just a 10 minute nap in the charging case. I often fall asleep with my audiobooks at night and in the morning still have plenty of charge to tune in to NPR, walk the dog, and get ready for work.
ONE-BUD CAPABILITY – yep you can go with only one bud and still make phone calls or listen to the navigator app in one ear while driving and have the other ear open for music or keeping in contact with the traffic around you.
IPX7 – Well it just so happens that it was raining cats and dogs this morning, and it was nice to be able to walk the dog and get in the car for work without having to worry about getting the buds wet. Showering after a workout or rinsing off at the pool is not a problem either (not for swimming).
CALL QUALITY – the incoming call quality is just as good as any other pair that I have, and the outgoing quality seems to be OK as well – I asked about the voice quality on several calls and everyone said “sounds good to me” so seems to be just fine. I have higher priced buds with 4 microphones where the 2S has two, but honestly I don’t seem to find much if any difference.
CASE – the case has a nice set of indicator lights to let you know that both earbuds are charging when you put them in, and also to let you know when the case needs charging, and when the case is fully charged. The contour of the case is very friendly to the pocket, and slides in easily without too much of a bulge or bump.
A few features are missing that I like to have, such as “pass through” that allows outside sounds to be heard without taking out an earbud – so take out an earbud if you have the occasional need.
Overall these are competitive with features at this price point. If you are wanting a secure and comfortable “sports” fit with wireless charging, a waterproof rating, and good battery life – these may be right for you. If you MUST have ANC or “pass through” function – you can find those features in the same price range, but you may be giving up the IPX7 rating, “sports” fit, and the longer battery life you would get from the Anker 2S buds.

Functional Economy - nice to have around...

Gumy Mini True Wireless Headphones
Functional Economy – nice to have a backup set or an economy set of buds that are just fine for most everything that the day brings.
Man the market is being flooded with BlueTooth wireless earbuds… so what to get?
I can say I love me some wireless earbuds, so I have a nice little collection with something at each price point to keep handy at home and at work. So where do these guys fit in? At this price point they don’t have all the fancy trimmings like ANC and “pass-through” settings and 4 microphones on each bud, but all that isn’t needed all the time. How about a nice set of buds that doesn’t break the bank and is good for most of the daily needs? These might just be what you are looking for.
Where do they fit in?
Morning wake-up and dog walking >> YEP – these pop right in and connect quickly to the phone for my morning NPR news while getting ready for work and emptying the dog before I leave for work. I can also “Ask Google” to get a weather report and check on the daily calendar and to-do list. These are water-resistant, so a little splashing around the sink or dealing with walking the dog in the rain (she HATES going outside when it is raining!) no worries about a light spritz of water.
Driving directions >> YEP – these will work for “left ear only” when driving to get navigator app directions while keeping the other ear open to hear Karen behind me honking her horn as soon as the light turns green.
Binge-watching Ted Lasso and Big Bang >> YEP – hey for those ensemble-cast shows that don’t have a lot of background music (don’t forget TOS Star Trek and the other oldies but goldies) these are so light and easy to pop in that they are handy to keep on the nightstand or by the keyboard.
YouTube and (heaven forbid) TikTok addiction >> YEP – go ahead and waste countless hours of your valuable time and go down the rabbit hole with your YouTube or TikTok channels… these little buds will provide you with hours of mind-numbing entertainment.
NICE STUFF about these buds:
LIGHT as a FEATHER – OK pretty much any wireless earbud is going to be small and relatively light, but these are noticeably compact and light in the ears.
SOLID PRODUCT - JVC has hit it here with a solid product that has decent sound at a price that makes getting that “extra pair” or a set for the kids very affordable. If the kids want to play the “Karen Card” if they don’t get the expensive ones that the other kids have…. Tell them to get a job.
COLORS – if you have a set or two of CARBON BLACK or ICY WHITE buds, it’s kind of nice to have a good selection of bright colors to make a fashion statement. I promise, if you get the red, green, or blue – people will be asking you about them. If you are shopping for a set to get for the kids, you have a good choice of colors that should make your little scamper happy. NOICE!
USB C Charging – hasn’t everyone gone to USB C? Nope they have not, be sure to check the specs if you want to standardize on USB C.
PRICE POINT – I held back on wireless earbuds for quite some time since it just takes a second for one to fall out and get crunched before I could find it. Anything that puts a dent in my pocket either stays in a safe place, or has wings to lock it in my ear before I go out into the cold cruel world. This set is not something I would want to lose, but it if happens, I don’t have to get all puckered up on the replacement cost.
OK these are a few bucks more than some other economy buds, and of course a lot less than the rest of the buds. I have tried a few of the “entry level” buds, and can say that JVC has done a good job with these. Put down just a few more bucks for the JVC and you will have made a good decision.

Beurer - Vibrating Massage Ball – Black
Pretty nice when relaxing to work out those knots…
OK pretty obvious this is not a “therapeutic-grade” massager or an impact device… hey it’s a little knobby baseball that vibrates, so don’t expect a Swedish Massage… LOL. With that said, this is a sweet little “knot relaxer” that is easy to use when relaxing after a hot shower or treating your feet when binge-watching once you have met your calorie burning activities for the day.
The ball has “high/low” push-button settings, and you also get good wrist exercise when you twist the ball open to put in or replace the batteries. I was hoping this would be a good “chair buddy” when settling down for the evening and using the ball for sore spots or muscle knots. That seems to work sort of OK, but if you look at the recommended use methods you see that the ball works best when placing the ball in a sore spot and pushing back against a hard surface like a wall or the floor. Think of a bear scratching it’s back by rubbing up against a tree and you will get the idea. Holding the ball in my hand and pushing it up against a sore spot gives some relief, but my hand gets half the energy and my back, shoulder, leg gets the other half. Best results are using a hard surface to make the ball “push in” to get most of the energy into your muscle tissues. For soothing sore feet, rolling the ball between my feet and the floor while binge watching "Ted Lasso" gives good results.
There is always something “better” that costs more, so it would be nice to have a rechargeable battery built in, but you get what you get and picking a little kit with rechargeable batteries is a workable solution for replacing the batteries. Can’t speak about the battery life yet – and that will depend on which setting is used, but I have used the ball for several hours spread out over a few days and seems to be OK so far.
Maybe on a funny note, the cats seem to find this device very interesting – so I guess that is a “bonus feature” as long as you don’t let the dog get ahold of it as a chewy toy. DON’T leave this sitting around if you have a dog – that’s another story and I’m glad we saw the dog pick it up and got it back before finding out where that situation was going to go…
To sum it up… a nice little device that comes in handy if you have the need – but consider this a “light use” device for “light use” needs. Definitely one of those "impulse" purchases as the price is nice and low, and with the holiday season coming up I think this would be a great "stocking stuffer" or "party present" for holiday giving.

Great for older geeks who don't need the "sizzle"

Actually the "top of the line" G910 gaming keyboard was marked down to a lower price when I got this, but too much "gamer" stuff on the G910 and not for an 'older professional' who wants to appear more mature than his 13-year-old gaming son. IMO the G910 wasn't selling as well as hoped, and the G810 is (to me) the superior model in design, appearance, and performance.
This G810 looks professional on the desk, has OUTSTANDING color display (note that the 'special' keys on the number keys are also illuminated -- missing on many of the other illuminated keyboards - aren't these ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) the ones you can never remember when typing in the dark?), no "bottom of the keys" light spillover that takes away from the illumination focus, superior engineering on the Romer-G switches (Check out the tour of the Romer-G factory in Japan on YouTube), and feels like a BRICK in the hand (a GOOD BRICK) with heavy-duty construction. The 3-way adjustable tilt and huge rubber feet on the bottom will keep this from sliding around on any desk, including glass-tops. The only thing that makes this look like a "gamer rig" is the FABULOUS and CRISP color displays... which are easy to see even with the lights on in the room > fully adjustable to get it just the way you want at home or at work. I may be an old-timer, but I don't mind showing off a little bit and this keyboard is an EYE-CATCHER when the lights start doing the 'wave' across the keyboard!
I read all the reviews and fiddled with the keyboards on display and there seem to be "Logitech Nay-Sayers" who can't bear the idea of using anything other than the older design "cherry" keys. I have gone from manual touch-typing > to I B M Selectric > to I B M 'clicky' keyboard (still one of my favorites) > to membranes > to whatever-cheapo-keyboard Dell includes in their educational computers > to a Saitek PK17U Cyborg > to this keyboard. This one is the best by FAR! Re: keys... you get a little 'click' so the sound and some tactile/touch reinforcement for keyboarding (typing) is there, but not too loud and for me just enough to let me know I hit the key. Yes it feels different from the cheapo Dell keyboard i just unplugged and replaced, but every keyboard is different and this one feels like driving a luxury car!
Speaking of my son, he is now looking over at my new keyboard and looking at his illuminated keyboard and I think I know what he will be asking for come Christmas. Fortunately, the box still had the promotion of free download and activation code for "The Division" so the kid has something to keep him busy until Santa Claus comes.
If you are an old crab like me, but like a little 'sizzle' when using your computer and want to treat yourself to a smooth-as-silk keyboard... this is the one I would recommend. Leave the "whoopee" keyboards to the kids.
PS - you can hit a quick button on the keyboard and turn off the light display if you want to turn off the light show for a while.

Update @ Christmas 2016
December 21, 2016
Mentioned that my son was keeping an eye on my G810 from the get-go... first time I let him 'test drive' my G810 he says "ooooh, that feels nice" and decided he wanted to go to mechanical keyboard. He has a 'gamer' RBD keyboard (non-mechanical) with extra bells and whistles he has been using for a year or two, but instantly fell in love with the mechanical feel. Just gave him a "Week before Christmas" present of his own G810. He had his pick of the models available, and after tapping some keys and looking at the different models chose to get the G810. Just goes to show the "fancy schmancy" keyboards might look more-cooler-better but the proof is in the feel of the keys. It's a keyboard, after all.

Meet the unrivaled, everyday noise canceling headphone for people who want to keep it simple. Hesh ANC is engineered with just the right amount of added features to make your life a little easier without a lot of additional technology that you might not need.

Does the headphone have a mic built into the headset where you can make phone calls?

yes there are actually 4 built-in microphones for the "ambient" function and for phone calls. i was using a "boom mic" gaming headset for my virtual meetings and phone calls, and when switching back and forth during a phone call and a meeting to check out the difference, the people in the meeting and on the phone call said they could not tell much difference between "boom mic" gaming headset and the Skullcandy headset. considering the comfort and battery life of the Skullcandy headset (see my review) i prefer the Skullcandy to the gaming headset, and also don't have to "switch" to earbuds when going back and forth from virtual meetings and classes and making or receiving phone calls. the Skullcandy headset works very nicely for all things all day long.

Pair Surface Go Type Cover with Surface Go* for a full keyboard experience anywhere. Ultra-compact, yet it includes a complete mechanical keyset, backlit keys, and extra-large trackpad. Plus, three colors are covered in rich Alcantara material¹ for an added touch of luxury and comfort.

What is the power source for the Microsoft Surface Go type cover?

the keyboards do not have a built-in battery that needs to be charged separately. the keyboard draws power (for the BACKLIGHTING - very nice!) from the computer battery when it is "popped" on. Nothing to worry about like forgetting to charge your keyboard, or losing the Bluetooth connection - it is all direct connection for power and signal. The Microsoft Surface keyboard seems to be something that everyone agrees is well designed and "one of the best" out there for a detachable keyboard/trackpad. Hope this helps and Stay Safe!

Do yoou have to use an app on your phone to install it?

phone app, tablet app or computer app - one or the other is needed to set up the printer. there is no "touch screen" display like other models, so you will need phone, laptop, desktop, chromebook, tablet.... anything will do as long as it connects to your home network (or the same network as the printer).

HP OMEN Obelisk by HP Desktop: Play graphically intense games with this HP OMEN Obelisk desktop computer. You can easily store large amounts of media and other data on the 1TB hard drive and install games and programs on the 256GB SSD for fast access. This HP OMEN Obelisk desktop computer has 16GB of memory for multitasking effectively, and the Intel Core i7-9700 processor handles resource-intense programs efficiently.

Is the storage (and other features, I suppose) upgradeable? If I wanted to install higher storage (a 2TB HDD or a 500g SSD, for example) is that doable? If so, is it easily doable?

very easy to swap or add hard drives - the solid panel pops right off and there are two drive bays ready to go. i did what you are asking about by pulling the 1TB drive that came with the system out, and replacing with a 2TB drive that already had my game files on it (steam stuff - you know what i mean) and adding a 1TB SSD in the second bay. Transferred the system settings from the "old" computer to this new one using TransWiz to migrate the windows 10 user profiles from the old machine and this freed up the 1TB SSD from the "old" machine to be used for game files on the Obelisk.

Are both side panels removable? I know the windowed one will come off, but is the other side detach as well? Thanks in advance for your answers!

yes both side pop off very easily. the clear side panel for access to the motherboard, the solid side panel gives you access to the quick-change slots for 2 hard drives. I swapped out the provided hard drive with one that already had game files on it, and the popped in a SSD in the blank bay. just use the rails to mount the hard drives and leave the little tiny screws in the tool box. easy peasy!

Is the file format FAT 32?

yes the drive comes pre-formatted as FAT32. if you want to transfer files larger than 4GB then you will need to re-format NTSF.

Is the model of this phone 1660 or 1778? I know this question was asked, but not answered. I know they were having trouble with the audio in these two models.

i got 10+ couple days ago and it says model I3223. software is most current 53.0.A.4.79 so no update needed as i have heard about some Xperia 10 early shipments. from what i have heard some issues were from software that needed updating, and i have had no issues with audio, bluetooth, or other concerns.

i saw an ad at UK store that said "free case from SONY" that ships with the phone. i expect it will be hard to find a case (or screen protector) for this new phone. does anyone have an idea if the BestBuy package comes with "free case" ??

well i will answer my own question. got my 10+ and no 'free case' for US customers. box came with phone, charger, USB cable, and micro-documentation.
