Batman Begins marks the start of a new take on the Batman franchise. You get a deep look into Bruce Wayne's early life and what exactly led to him becoming Batman. Christian Bale is a phenomenal Bruse Wayne and a great Batman; easily one of, if not the best. Plenty of action, fighting, and an overall great blend of both sides of the life of a superhero. I really enjoyed this flick, and I recommend it to anyone!
What's great about it: A new take on the Batman story.

An Absolute Riot!

I was a little iffy on this game when I first heard about it. It seemed a little too "out there." I gave it a try at a friend's place, and was easily swayed the other way. Raving Rabbids is absolutely hysterical! Each mini-game is a good challenge, and packed full of laughs. The Rabbids themselves are the goofiest things I've ever seen, and they just never seem to get old. This game is worth picking up for parties, or if you need a few good laughs.
What's great about it: Great party games, tons of laughs!
What's not so great: Gets boring fast if you're not playing in a group.

Incredible!

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess gets a perfect score from me. It had everything I wanted in this sort of game. It is an adventure across an enormous, vivid landscape, with an incredible amount of things to find, plenty of interesting characters, and of course, thrilling battles. My first time through the game took just over 50 hours, and I haven't even found everything yet, so this is one long adventure! If you liked any of the previous games in the "Zelda" series, pick up Twilight Princess!
What's great about it: An epic adventure with stunning graphics, breathtaking music, and epic battles!

Awesome Music!

One of the things that was particularly striking about The Matrix Reloaded was the music! It was well-orchestrated, fit the scene, and was donwright catchy. The action scenes would not have been half as good as they were had it not been for this music, and now I can listen to it whenever I want.
What's great about it: Listen to the phenomenal music from The Matrix Reloaded whenever you want!

Of all the American Idol winners, I have to say that David Cook is by far the best. His debut album is in a class all its own. Each of the songs not only have very catchy beats and tunes, but they all carry their own unique message. I have to say that some of the songs are downright moving. No matter what your taste in music, you can't go wrong here.
What's great about it: Every song has a message.

The third and final film in the Wachowski brothers' epic science fiction trilogy The Matrix picks up where the second film, The Matrix Reloaded, left off. As the film begins, Neo attempts to navigate through a space somewhere between the machine world and the real world, Trinity and Morpheus pay a visit to The Merovingian, the citizens of Zion prepare for imminent war with the sentinels, and Agent Smith continues to gain power. As Matrix fans have come to expect, the closing chapter is presented in a superb DVD package. The two-disc set features top-notch visual and audio quality alongside a seemingly endless wealth of bonuses. The first disc bears a crystal-clear widescreen anamorphic transfer of the feature presentation with the soundtrack available in both Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and Dolby Digital Stereo. A French-dubbed Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track is also included, along with subtitles in English, French, and Spanish. Standing out from the Matrix DVDs that preceded it, disc one of Revolutions is the first to feature trailers from all three trilogy entries and The Animatrix animation series. Over on the second disc, viewers are treated to several behind-the-scenes featurettes. "Revolutions Recalibrated" takes a general look at the making of the film, while "CG Revolution" specifically examines the dazzling visual effects, and "Super Burly Brawl" offers the ins and outs of the climactic final fight between Neo and Agent Smith. Meanwhile, there are four more short making-of segments in the Operator feature. Beyond that, there is an exceptionally concise text-and image-based history of the Matrix called "Before the Revolution," a look at the upcoming online Matrix game, a gallery with storyboards and conceptual images, and several DVD-ROM features. A full-screen version with the same features was also released.

A Great Ending to a Great Trilogy!

Another movie that most people I know seemed disappointed with. Again, I thought it was a great movie. You're thrown right into the action from the start and from there you just know that things are going to pick up fast. To me, I felt like I was on the edge of my seat right from the first two minutes of the movie, and the rest of it just blew me away. Nearly every scene leads to some kind of a gun battle or street fight, so if you are into that kind of stuff, you're in. Everything comes to a head when the machines finally reach Zion and the final battle between humans and machines begins. I was simply blown away by the battle...simply incredible. Neo and Smith's final fight wasn't as long as I think I would have liked, but certainly nothing to be upset with. My only qualm with this film was that at the end, there are still some questions that don't quite get answered. I suppose that's where "The Matrix Online" came in, but I never got around to playing that game, so I guess I'll never know. All in all, great movie, great trilogy, great entertainment!
What's great about it: The action and the plot reach their phenomenal climax!
What's not so great: You're left with some unanswered questions.

The explosive first sequel to The Matrix comes to DVD with a superb two-disc edition. With a widescreen anamorphic transfer of the film that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio (a full-screen version was released simultaneously), the disc features the English soundtrack in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0. Additionally, a dubbed French audio track is included in Dolby Digital 5.1 and English, Spanish, and French subtitles are available. While a commentary track is missing, the bonus features are certainly not lacking. "Preload" and "The Freeway Chase" are featurettes that both offer in-depth glimpses into the making of the film, and "The MTV Movie Awards Reloaded" is an hilarious parody starring Seann William Scott and Justin Timberlake. Four additional featurettes round out the package, offering looks at the video game inspired by the movie, the Animatrix short films, and the phenomenon of the Matrix universe.

Simply Awesome!

Where most people I've encountered thought the second movie in the trilogy was a step down, I thought The Matrix Reloaded was great! I thought the fights and the highway chases scenes were awesome! The movie comes up again with a great balance of brains and brawn, and certainly a good touch of fantasy. Oh, and I don't care what anyone says, I loved the scene where Neo fights the hundred or so Smith copies. I was thoroughly entertained by this film and it ranks right up there as one of my favorites. Definitely a good pick.
What's great about it: Great action scenes, a deepening plot
What's not so great: The special features leave a bit to be desired.

The Matrix came along at just the right time in the history of the DVD format. With its incredible action scenes and futuristic plot, it proved to be a tremendous boost for sales of DVD players and proof of the power of DVD to present a movie accurately. The 2.35:1 widescreen presentation is a crystal clear translation of the movie's dark imagery. While there may be a lack of resolution in background images, the stylish visuals in the foreground draw all of the attention, along with the powerful, seat-rocking sound effects of Dolby Digital mix. Special features are mildly entertaining. The cast/crew commentary is by Carrie-Anne Moss, visual effects supervisor John Gaeta, and editor Zach Staeberg, and often leans toward the technical side of the production. The music-only "Audio Track" is for fans of the soundtrack only, and the making-of documentary is 25 minutes of hyperbole. "Taking the red pill" leads to a six-minute overview of the technical sides of "bullet-time," a special-effect element found in the film. The "Follow the White Rabbit" feature brings a rabbit icon to the screen during scenes of heavy special effects; hitting "enter" leads to behind-the-scenes footage of the scene in question and then places viewers back into the scene of the movie. Filmographies of cast and crew are also present. Instant access to all of the DVD's 38 chapters is available via the "Scene Access" menu, making this disc an entirely successful presentation of a fun film.

I saw The Matrix when it first came out in theatres in 1999, and after all this time it is still one of my favorite movies. It's a movie I find myself constantly going back and watching. The plot lends itself to a future in which humans have been all but eradicated by the very machines they created. It will really make you think at times, as it can get into some pretty deep stuff. But, what helps the plot out so much, are the incredible action scenes. Plenty of fighting, crazy stunts, and explosions to go around, and The Matrix has the one thing everybody loves...a classic good vs. evil battle at the end. Plenty of entertainment, highly recommended!
What's great about it: Great story, great acting, top-notch special effects and CGI

The Plot Deepens...

The third season of "Lost" took one of the show's darkest turns yet. You soon realize that everything that had happened in seasons 1 and 2, had barely even scratched the surface of what was really going on on that forgotten island. The suspense is greater than ever before, and you're left holding your breath through each and every episode. Surprises come in all forms, including the deaths of some key characters, stunning confrontations with all sorts of dangers on the island, and even the reappearances of a few characters you thought you might never see again. Dark, dramatic, and suspensful at every turn, season 3 of "Lost" is a season you'd be crazy not to own. Pun intended, you will literally get lost in the plot.
What's great about it: In all honesty, everything.

Plenty of Emotion

Another good movie to sit down and watch with your significant other. I got this movie as a gift for my girlfriend, and I have to say that it's a good one! It's not your typical movie for this day and age, but it's one of the better love stories I've seen, and I'll admit it: it made me cry more than once. The movie does a very good job of bringing out the good and the bad emotions common in any love story. It really makes you think. What would you do if you lost the one you love just as you were about to start your life with them? Here's one romance you don't want to miss.
What's great about it: Plenty of heart-warming, and tear-jerking moments.
