A Great Deal on Two Great Movies!

The Ghostbusters 1 & 2 DVD set is a great way for fans to get their hands on these two hilarious movies. For starters, it's a great deal since you get them for less than you would if you bought each movie separately. The set even comes with a behind-the-scenes flipbook detailing the two movies and how they were brought to life. As for the movies themselves, they're funny, fascinating, and light-hearted, with enough of the darkness of a ghost-style movie thrown in to make for what I'm sure will always be a unique and totally spectacular pair of films. It's hard to believe that the original Ghostbusters movie is already over 25 years old. But it's great to see both movies in the clarity and color of a DVD format. If you don't already have these two movies in your collection, this is arguably the best way to get your hands on them. (And the video game makes a great compliment to the Ghostbusters saga.) 100% recommended!
What's great about it: Both movies in one set, plenty of great extras, an unbeatable deal!

Good Quality for a Good Price.

I decided to give these headphones a try when my Apple headphones gave out on me. These seemed like a good price, and someone recommended them to me. It turns out that they're a pretty good substitute. The sound quality is comparable to that of the Apple headphones. The buds on the tips of the headphones come in three different sizes, and can be swapped out according to what's most comfortable for you. For what you get, the price isn't too bad either. The only issue I had with the Skull Candy headphones was that the transition from Apple headphones to these was a little strange. Meaning, they felt a little different in my ears. They just take a little getting used to. If you need a new set of headphones, I say give these a try.
What's great about it: Great sound quality, buds come in different changable sizes.
What's not so great: They can take a little getting used to.

So Bad, It's Decent...

Batman & Robin is heralded by many as one of the worst movies of all time. The acting is horrible, the special effects are terrible (rubber icicles...trust me on this one.), and the entire plot just seems to go nowhere and makes no sense...even for a Batman movie. If you were looking for this movie to pick up where "Batman Forever" left off, don't hold your breath. That being said, it really is a movie that winds up being entertaining in that you will constantly be laughing at how bad it is. If you are thinking of hosting a Bad-Movie Night or something to that effect, this movie would make a great headliner. Now, I don't normally do this, but I do recommend this movie, because it literally was so bad that it entertained me.
What's great about it: Perfect for a "Bad-Movie Night"
What's not so great: The entire movie!

Sonic Unleashed is great! It's everything that "Sonic and the Secret Rings" wasn't. Sega gave it a classic Sonic feel with side-scrolling stages mixed with some new 3-D stages. Even more fun is the control setup. Like so many Wii games, there's more to it than simply pressing buttons. Swing the Wii Romote to do homing attacks as Sonic in his regular form, or to beat down baddies as Sonic in his new "Werehog" form. As usual, the game has a unique storyline and there's plenty to keep you busy for a long time. All in all, the game is a good challenge, the in-game and cutscene graphics are spectacular, and the excitement just keeps flying at you. This is the Sonic game we've been waiting for since the last release in 2006.
What's great about it: Classic "Sonic" feel with some new twists!

Good, but not Great.

X-Men: The Last Stand was a very good movie. You get to meet some more new mutants as the clash between good and evil ultimately comes to its climax. That action scenes were great and the overall story was great! The only issue I had with the movie was with how it did not adhere to the actual X-Men comic very well. But without getting too into that, I will just say that I still liked the movie and recommend it.
What's great about it: More new mutants, plenty of action
What's not so great: Didn't hold true to the coming very well.

A Bit of a Disappointment.

Let me first point out that I am a huge fan of Sonic the Hedgehog, and I have been since his days on the Sega Genesis. I loved the Sonic Adventure, and Sonic Heroes games, and even the one for XBox 360 and PS3. I'm sorry to say that Sonic and the Secret Rings just didn't work for me. I did like the innovative control scheme: that is, instead of using buttons to move Sonic, you simply steer him with the Wii Remote and make him jump and do stunts as he runs on his own. The story was just too bland for my liking, not enough substance to it. I was very disappointed at the fact that the majority of the cutscenes were made to look like a storybook. Yes, that's what the plot was going for, but I just didn't like it. I had the game for about three months...two-and-a-half of which it spent collecting dust before I sold it back. To be honest, I don't even think I played past the 3rd or 4th level. I'd say pass on this one.
What's great about it: A unique control system, and a somewhat classic Sonic feel.
What's not so great: The story had no real substance to it, the cutscenes were terrible.

Hysterical!

Wedding Crashers is probably one of the funnier movies of our time. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are absolutely hilarious together. And let's not forget the guest appearances of Christohper Walken and Will Ferrell...awesome! While the movie is a comedy, it also turns into a romance and has its heart-warming moments. The 'Uncorked' version of the movie also offers a few additional scenes that were not part of the original theatrical release. If you're looking for some good laughs, look no further.
What's great about it: Tons of laughs with an all-star cast!

Perfect!

If there were ever a perfect movie, The Dark Knight is absolutely it! Christian Bale continues his oustanding role as Bruce Wayne/Batman and delievers another incredible performance. Heath Ledger really stole the show though as the new, much darker Joker. If you're expecting him to be anything like Jack Nicholson's Joker, you had better think again. Ledger's portrayal of the movie's villain was absolutely spectacular, and even a bit scary at some points. The plot is phenomenally gripping as it never lets go all the way through to the end. Aaron Eckhart plays an excellent Harvey Dent and of course, Michael Caine returns as probably the best Alfred ever! The movie has tons of action and plenty of suspense. Get ready for an amazing thrill ride. Hold on tight!
What's great about it: The cast, the acting...everything!

The popular anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! makes the jump from television to the big screen with the franchise's first feature film. Yugi (voice of Dan Green) is a boy who, like thousands of others, is a loyal fan of "Duel Monsters," a card game that's sweeping the nation. Yugi joins many other players for a Duel Monsters tournament in Battle City, where they make a startling discovery -- the "Duel Monsters" cards have supernatural powers that have resurrected Anubia, an evil leader from ancient Egypt. As it happens, one of Yugi's ancestors was a pharaoh who vanquished Anubia centuries before, and now the young man and his pals must use their skills with the cards to conquer the foe once again. Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie arrived in American movie theaters in the summer of 2004, six years after the Yu-Gi-Oh! television series (and its attendant flood of merchandise) made its debut in Japan.

Pretty Good!

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie was decent. You get to see your favorite familiar characters in a familiar, yet still different setting. The movie still centers around the same premise: card games, and most of the action, and most of the movie for that matter, revolve around a single duel. But a new villain appears and things take a turn for the worse. I wouldn't call this the best movie I've ever seen, but it's good to watch every now and then, and will entertain you. If you're looking for some great special features, you will be left looking for a little more with this DVD, but I'll give this movie a decent rating for an entertaining plot, and excellent animation.
What's great about it: It's a good film that supplements the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Series.
What's not so great: Short movie, abrupt conclusion, odd plot

Back, and Better than Ever!

After almost a year-and-a-half off the air due to last year's writers' strike, 24 returns and pulls out all the stops. Redemption sets Jack Bauer, everyone's favorite one-man army, somewhere in Africa doing missionary work with an old friend. While he is on the run from the U.S. Government, Jack finally seems to be at some sort of inner peace. But he's quickly drawn back into action when a hostile militant group attempts to overthrow the local government and comes after the group of children that Jack is helping to care for. Like always, you get that same action and suspense that 24 is famous for. As a longtime fan, I can honestly say that this is easily the most powerful and moving installment in the 24 series yet. If you're a fan like me, then this is the movie you've been waiting for. But this really is a movie that anyone can get in to. You don't really need to know the story leading up to this movie to really enjoy it.
What's great about it: 24 makes its triumphant comeback with a powerful made-for-TV movie!
