Scorching live Thrash from Overkill!
on July 12, 2008

Yes, I am a huge Overkill fan. I only recommend Overkill due to their being a true flag bearer to the Thrash genre and being great musicians at what they always do. This release is a must for any Overkill fan and/or Thrash fan. The live recording is done really well, there is no unnecessary noise, feedback or interference here. What you will hear is the overwhelming bass from D.D. Verni and powerful vocals from Blitz that will have your volume button screaming on high. You could consider this as a live greatest hits and for the price, it is not a bad deal at all.
What's great about it: This live recording was not done cheap, the sound says it all.
What's not so great: none

An All-Time Great Album!
on July 12, 2008

Heart "Dreamboat Annie" will always make an all-time greatest list for Rock albums. This being Heart's first ever effort, you will be blown away by the vocals and musicianship. It is extremely hard to believe that this is a freshman release, a tried and true classic. "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You" are the two famous Rock radio hits that flat out Rock. With that said, you will not be disappointed listening to the other 8 songs. Nancy and Ann Wilson will take you on a Rock & Roll journey that is at times soothing on "Deamboat Annie but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
What's great about it: "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You" are true classics.
What's not so great: You will not hear or find one.

A Thrash greatest that is a must!

If you do not own any Annihilator, this is the one to own. An awesome assemblage of greatest hits that pound away only as Thrash Metal can. These guys belong on the list of all time great Thrash bands. Annihilator brought their brand of Thrash to the masses and I am happier for it.
What's great about it: Scorching greatest hits, unreal thrash riffs.

An underrated classic!

This is a great Boston release! They truly jam together on this one. There are no true commercial songs on here, "Magdalene" is the closest you will get. The Medley is awesome with guitar and organ solos. This is one Boston CD that is not talked about much, yet this is a must own for Boston fans or for those who want to hear some great rock & roll. This is one that I will listen to for quite some time. Boston "Walk On" will make you a believer!
What's great about it: Boston really rocks out, not a commercial release.

Spooky metal that delivers!

This is Iced Earth delivering a salute to all the great Horror Classics, metal style. The metal is layered with eerie chorus and sound effects. This is such a diverse metal release that delivers what it set out to, riveting metal and a scary feel throughout. The guitar and rhythm section is emboldened as always with Iced Earth. This is a true Metal band playing as a polished unit as always.
What's great about it: This is Iced Earth, at their spookiest.
What's not so great: Impossible to find a con with Iced Earth.

Another W.A.S.P. Classic!
on July 6, 2008

Blackie Lawless does it again with this release! "Somebody to Love" is covered the W.A.S.P. way, bringing this Jefferson Airplane hit to it's knees! "Keep Holding On" is a great ballad as Blackie adapts his vocals with precision according to the tempo of each song. "Rock and Roll to Death" is an up-tempo blast of metal with a touch of Chuck Berry guitar wizardry. "Scared to Death" has a scary feel, no pun intended, but it would not be a W.A.S.P. album without a tinge of scariness. A must buy for all W.A.S.P. fans and metalheads worldwide!
What's great about it: Diversified musically throughout with strong vocals

Vintage Bad Company!
on July 4, 2008

This is just one of many great Bad Company releases from years gone by. "Rock n' Roll Fantasy" and "Gone, Gone, Gone" are the two most recognizable hits, however there is no boring tunes on this classic. Paul Rodgers lead vocals are stuff of legend on this one. Expect vintage hard rock, a ballad or two and an entire cd of enjoyable tunes that grows better with age. This classic will never collect dust in my collection.
What's great about it: Great tunes to cruise, chill or rock out to!

This is an eerie, dark, thrash to your face release from Overkill. Every track is awesome, Overkill and thrash fans will be fulfilled. As with all Overkill releases, the bass and drums pound out at you ferociously, while Blitz hammers out his amazing vocals. No ballads or orchestrations here!
What's great about it: Overkill thrashing mad!

Iced Earth EP worth owning!

This three song EP is worth adding to your Iced Earth catalog. All three songs are classic Iced Earth with the musical metal layering you have come to expect. This EP only gets you pumped for their new release come fall of 2008. The return of Matthew Barlow bellowing his metal vocals on "I Walk Alone" gives you that chilling, spooky feel that makes this release worth buying.
What's great about it: Matthew Barlow returns as lead vocalist

Thrashing and Awesome!

This 2 disc set will please any Overkill fan and make new Overkill believers along the way. The live performance is high adrenaline, high thrashing octane that will command a nod of approval from both old school and new school thrash fans. "Coma", "Elimination" and "Horrorscope" are vintage thrash masterpieces. The overall quality of this live performance is second to none.
What's great about it: A two disc set, live performance sounds great.
