Truly entertaining!

I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. I figured this would only be a show for pot heads, but I was mistaken. Don't pass over this one seemingly for it's subject matter, it is quite engaging and rather funny. I will warn you, once you see one season you will want to see them all.
What's great about it: Very entertaining and greta picture and audio quality and lots of bonus material

If you liked Lake Placid, you will enjoy this one

Although I think that Lake Placid was a better film, only because I found Oliver Platt funnier than Orlando Jones in this movie. So, give it a rent first. However, I wouldn't call it bad right off hand.
The picture and audio quality are near reference quality, so you certainly can't fault the film there. Unfortunately, the special features are rather lacking.
What's great about it: Near Reference picture and audio quality
What's not so great: Extras are in 1080i, but look to have been upconverted

A good film with decent picture and audio

If you liked the movie then you will be a fan of the blu-ray. It has all of the special features from the DVD, however, they are presented in 480i as opposed to 1080p. The video and audio quality is decent.
What's great about it: decent picture and audio quality
What's not so great: all of the special features are in standard definition 480i

A great spooky tale

The film is a cult classic and it is easy to see why. Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon, and Oliver Platt star in this thriller. It is about some med students who want to prove if there is an afterlife by becoming clinically dead and then revitalizing themselves once they have been dead for a set amount of time. The cast starts attempting to one up each other by staying dead longer than the previous person until some strange unexplained events from each persons past comes back to haunt them.
The picture and audio quality are great. Unfortunately, there are no special features to speak of at all.
What's great about it: Great Picture Quality and Lossless PCM audio
What's not so great: No special features at all, not even a commentary track or theatrical trailer

A Truly Funny Movie
on October 25, 2008

This is a very funny movie. Unfortunately, it seems to be an either hate it or love it sort of movie. So, if you haven't seen it, you may want to rent it first.
The only special feature to not make it to the Blu-ray is a 6 minute collection of real stories from actual waiters. So no real loss there, I just thought I would mention it.
The video and audio are top notch with this blu-ray as well. Fans of the film will not be disappointed.
What's great about it: Hilarious, Great Picture and Lossless Audio
What's not so great: Not all the features from the DVD made the cut

A real sleeper film

This movie is a blast to watch. The main character is working in a bank and has some brain damage after a horrific car accident in the beginning of the movie. He is trying to better himself, but his shortcomings are holding him back. Preying on his weaknesses, some men try to use him to rob the bank that he works at.
The movie looks nothing less than stunning and the audio is nothing to scoff at either. I would recommend giving it a once over, as I think you will be pleased.
What's great about it: A great film with near reference quality video and lossless audio
What's not so great: Has all the DVD special features, unfortunately that doesn't amount to much

A great movie for any gear head
on October 25, 2008

This is a great movie for any gear head out there. It follows the adventures of a true life daring old man that simply wanted to set a land speed record on his bike before he kicked the bucket.
The picture is stunning, as is the lossless audio. There are also a ton of special features all in 1080P. I would recommend checking this one out.
What's great about it: Great Picture quality, Lossless Audio, Tons of special features
I would recommend this to a friend!

Arguably one of steve mcqueen's best films
on October 23, 2008

This is exactly what you would expect from a Steve McQueen movie. It is about a bank robbery gone wrong and follows McQueen and his wife through the many perils of their escape. It looks great, but the mono audio is pretty bad. If you are a McQueen fan, then you probably already own this.
What's great about it: A good movie with great picture quality
What's not so great: Mono Audio

A great film for everyone

It is a light-hearted comedy that is fun to watch, even if you aren't a chick. The actress is very attractive and pulls off the part surprisingly well. It is full of witty characters and sharp dialogue and a storyline that can appeal to the masses. Meryl Streep gives an amazing performance as the 'horrible boss.'
The image and audio quality are nothing short of stunning. There are a few night scenes that have an inconsistent amount of grain or look washed out, but it is trivial at best. The Transfer is nothing short of amazing. It is still very close to reference quality.
What's great about it: Near reference picture quality and lossless PCM audio
What's not so great: Not all the special features that were on the DVD are included

A surprisingly good film

I really wasn't expecting this movie to be as good as it was. I was pleasantly surprise to find that I really liked the film. Disney has released this one with great video and audio quality, which seems pretty par for the course for Disney.
I would definitely suggest checking it out, you may be surprised to find a good film here, just as I was.
What's great about it: Great Picture quality and lossless PCM Audio and some high def extras
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are PS2 games compatible with PS3 console?

I want to know if PS3 will play my PS2 games before I go ahead and purchase it.
There are no longer any PS3's being produced that will play PS2 games. The 80 gigs used to, and now they don't. I think the last ones that did were the Metal Gear solid limited editions. The 60 gig PS3's also had backward compatibility. However, it was encoded with hardware as opposed to the software that the 80 gig uses and therefore had different problems with different games, as does the 80. The 60 is generally thought of as more compatible with older games than the 80. You can find lists of games that wont work with either system, but they are few and far between. As of right now, you cannot buy a new PS3 of any size that has the ability to play PS2 games unless you buy a used one.
