A great sturdy stand that looks amazing

I bought this stand for my 46" Samsung 6 series LCD for my bedroom and I must say that it is a nice piece. It is much stronger and heavier than it appears. It was also very easy to assemble as the parts fit together perfectly. I did it by myself in a short period of time. My only problem with it is that the top shelf is partially obscured by the black metal brace that runs the length of the shelf in the front. This makes it impossible to house my center channel or any large component like a receiver on the top shelf.
What's great about it: Very tough and durable and easy to clean
What's not so great: The top shelf is partially obscured by a brace

This movie ROCKS!!

This movie is a great roller coaster ride and one of Keanu Reeves best prior to making the matrix. They must have done something right, as they stole the same story line to make 'The Fast and Furious.' If you are a fan of the movie then you will not be disapointed by it's debut on blu-ray. It has all the same special features as the "Pure Adrenaline Edition" they released a few years ago.
What's great about it: A great movie now with a decent high def transfer and lossless audio
What's not so great: All the extras are in 480p

Classic Bond Hit's Blu-ray
on October 21, 2008

This is everything we have come to expect from Bond films and it is packaged on Blu-ray with all the previous special features we have come to enjoy. The new steel-book cases are great, if only a little wide and some are hard to retrieve the disc's from. Aside from that, I love the new packaging. I only hope they offer the rest of the Bond films in the same packaging.
What's great about it: Great picture and audio quality
What's not so great: Not all the special features are in high def.

Blu-ray with a Vengeance!

the first two movies are not exactly reference material as far as video quality is concerned, however, they are, without a doubt, and upgrade from DVD. Some of the source material shows its age, which is unfortunate, however, it is certainly worth picking up.
Yes, it is lacking the extended cut of the 4th movie which is available on DVD, however, I don't consider this a real loss as I feel the 4th movie is quite possibly weakest of the 4. The appeal of the first 3 wasn't that he was capable of throwing a cop car at a helicopter, it was that he was an ordinary cop stuck in an extraordinary situation without being superman. The name also seems a bit cliche.
What's great about it: Great Transfers for all 4 movies for both picture and audio quality
What's not so great: Lacking the directors cut of #4

Best Christmas Movie EVER!!!

The movie is obviously a classic. There is no debating that, so I wont waste any time telling you what you already know, the movie is AWESOME.
The disc on the other hand leaves something to be desired, which is why I rated this 4 stars. Although the blu-ray is a step above the DVD as far as the picture quality is concerned, you are limited to the condition of the source material which is starting to show it's age. I wouldn't call it bad, but it could be better.
The sound is also relegated to a Dolby Digital-Plus 2.0 Stereo mix. All be it, this isn't a huge blockbuster action flick, I think they could have done better than stereo.
In short, if you are a fan of the flick and want to watch it in the highest quality you can get your hands on, then buy away. That is what I did and I wouldn't say I am disappointed. I just think they could have done better.
What's great about it: Amazing movie with a fair transfer
What's not so great: Lacking in supplements and the commentary doesn't have Chevy Chase

This is a classic film that is easily one of Arnold's best. My only complaint is that Fox didn't include ANY of the special features that were already included in the previous DVD releases.
What's great about it: Decent Picture quality and a classic film
What's not so great: No Supplements

Almost as good as the previous 2 seasons
on October 18, 2008

This one just didn't have the suspense of the previous two seasons, although it was still funny. If you were a fan of the previous two then you will likely enjoy this one. There is gratuitous nudity and an added character played by Mary Kate Olsen who is not playing her typical family oriented character.
What's great about it: Great PQ and a lot of supplements
What's not so great: Not quite up to par with the previous seasons

A great addition to any blu-ray collection

This movie is a blast and one of my favorite that I own. I really wish that Paramount had stepped up and added lossless audio to this one to accompany it's great video quality. I would easily recommend picking this one up.
The previous person who was complaining about the inability to find a copy can thank paramount for pulling out of the Blu-ray arena for a few months to back HD-DVD prior to their death. That shouldn't effect the rating on the product, IMHO.
What's great about it: Great movie, all the bonus features found on DVD
What's not so great: Dolby Digital 5.1 as opposed to lossless audio

A Great Update for a Great Classic
on October 16, 2008

Blazzing Saddles on Blu-ray is a shining example of how a 30 year old film can be restored if given the proper care and concern. The transfer is taken from the high def. master that was produced for the 2003 re-issue of the film on DVD. To say that this release, along with the HD-DVD, is not a vast improvement over ALL previous releases is misleading. It is a 30 year old film and not a new computer generated comedy, so some film grain should be expected and not attributed to a poor transfer. Surprisingly enough, the film grain is rather sparse, even in commonly problematic dark colors. I only wish the film had lossless audio. That being said, buy with confidence if you are a fan of the film or are looking for a great representation of what an older film should look like in high definition.
What's great about it: Great movie with excellent Picture and Audio quality
What's not so great: The extras are in standard definition and lacking lossless audio
I would recommend this to a friend!

Twister hits the small screen in a big way
on October 16, 2008

If you are looking for a fun movie to watch in the rain, then look no further than Twister. It is a fun roller coaster ride from start to finish. The picture and audio on this disc are stunning and easily something any fan will enjoy. This blu-ray has a boat-load of special features, everyone from the previous standard definition release. I only wish they were presented in high definition.
What's great about it: Contains all the special features that are found on the 2 disc special edition
What's not so great: all of the special features are in standard definition
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are PS2 games compatible with PS3 console?

I want to know if PS3 will play my PS2 games before I go ahead and purchase it.
There are no longer any PS3's being produced that will play PS2 games. The 80 gigs used to, and now they don't. I think the last ones that did were the Metal Gear solid limited editions. The 60 gig PS3's also had backward compatibility. However, it was encoded with hardware as opposed to the software that the 80 gig uses and therefore had different problems with different games, as does the 80. The 60 is generally thought of as more compatible with older games than the 80. You can find lists of games that wont work with either system, but they are few and far between. As of right now, you cannot buy a new PS3 of any size that has the ability to play PS2 games unless you buy a used one.
