Perfect for back-yards and camping

THE BREAKDOWN:
The Fahrenheit Flare that I tested is about 13.5 inches in diameter. It is made of stainless steel to help with weight and rusting issues This comes is two pieces the bottom which is kind of like a stand/ash storage and the top, where you place the wood sticks or pellets.
There are strategically placed holes to allow airflow in the bottom and top portions of this pit making the fire burn hotter and thus reducing smoke. While this does not completely eradicate the smoke, it does lessen it quite a bit. That makes for better gatherings with friends and family around the fire.
I found the size to be perfect for back-yard gatherings and because of its size it is completely portable so you can take it camping easily. I do wish it had a carrying case/storage bag.

Finally. A robot vacuum you can rely on to get the job done. The Roomba j7 + robot vacuum packs 10x the power-lifting suction and comes with unique intelligence to avoid cords and pet waste. It even understands times when you’re home and seasons when more cleaning may be needed. Compared to the Roomba 600 series cleaning system.

Love the Self-Emptying base

THE BREAKDOWN:
The iRobot Roomba j7+ is the latest in the lineup of robot vacuums with self-emptying capabilities. While the self-emptying feature is not new it is certainly a feature that I would not do without. The overall design and shape are very similar to other robot vacuums on the market. This one is controlled by the iRobot companion app.
The design is very sleek and stylish with the traditional rounded shape which measures 13.4” Length by 13.3 Width and 3.4” in height and weights around 7.49 lbs. There is a long-bristled brush on the side that helps sweep the debris into the middle. The middle roller is rubber and is around 6.75 inches long. On the top of the robot is a single button that has led lights. The led changes colors to let you know the status. You get a white spiral while charging, a red light is a problem or indication that the battery is low. The button can also be used to start, stop and abort cleaning. The docking station had a bin on the back that you lift to access the debris collection bag. This is also where the spare bag, filter and this is also where I stored my extra long-bristled brush head.
The app is where most of the magic happens. This is where you name your robot vacuum, see all the settings, features and where you set schedules. Once you set up your map by running your vacuum a few times you can even section parts off and give them names. This allows you to only clean certain areas if you wish.
This did an excellent job of cleaning. I have 2 dogs and the hair can get everywhere fast and with this I can just run the vacuum twice a day it and it keeps the dog hair in check. This does a great job of not sucking up my charging cables like my other robot vacuum will do. For obstacle avoidance this thing was a champ.

The Vitamix ONE blender is a sleek smaller version of the classic Vitamix blender designed to be smaller to take up less counter space while providing most of the same features as the original.
This blender was easy to assemble and with a quick clean and rinse you are ready to go. This blender is very simple to use as it only has one dial to control the speed. This is a 32oz blender which I found perfect for making morning shakes. This blender is NOT intended for use to make hot soups, nut butters or grinding grains. If you attempt to make any of those things it will void the warranty. This blender comes with a 2-year full warranty that even includes two-way shipping.
The retro look with the simple dial is very cool. The build of the blender is sleek and stylish but feel very well built. The speed dial is simple and easy to use. However, it would have been nice to have a pulse option maybe at the end of the turn. This blender has a 1.25 HP motor, which I found to be powerful enough to make smoothies daily.

Great Mid-Level Gamer

THE BREAKDOWN:
This dell G15 gaming laptop has delivered as a mid-level gaming laptop at a really great price point. I think that this is another great improvement over last year’s model.
In the box you will find the laptop itself with a power cable and a quick start guide. Once you plug it in and turn it on it walks you through the setup process. For some reason this process stalled for me and took over 45 min to get completed. After that little hiccup everything was great. It does come with a free month of McAffee software but if you have your own like me, it was very easy to uninstall it. The Window’s updates did not take long to install either.

All of these features make this laptop a great choice for a mid-entry gaming laptop. I personal like the grey color look, it adds something new to the traditional mostly black setups. This computer does have one more available slot for RAM and PCIe slot for an additional M2 SSD if you need more space. There is also 2 USB 2.0 ports on the right side, ethernet port on the left with a 3.5mm headphone jack, HDMI port, USB-A 3.2 and USB-C 3.2 on the rear. I personally like the power connector on the rear of the laptop instead of on the side.
The audio through the speakers was very good and I felt that they were loud enough for my applications. There are a couple shortcut keys on this laptop. There is the “G” key to enable high performance mode (note you will need to make sure you download the Alienware Command Center). I personally did not see a huge performance increase while using this feature. If I had to put a percentage on it, I would say 5-10 %.
I ran this through 2 testing applications, 3DMARK and PCMARK10. For the 3DMARK it scored a Time Spy Score of 5249 which is pretty standard for this setup. On the PCMARK10 it scored 5475 which another great score. Gaming performance was really better than I anticipated. This thing handled most of the games I threw at it on mid, ultra or ultra-high settings.

Lightweight and super comfortable and priced right

THE BREAKDOWN:
These RIG 500 Pro Hx headphones are every bit as comfortable as the previous version. They are lightweight but have solid feel to them. The top band/crown is made of a flexible metal that had a great look to it. Under the top metal band is a headband strip. The top of the strip is like a faux leather and underneath (the part that sits on top of your head) is fabric type material. The outer part of the earcups are made of a plastic while the earcups themselves are like a faux leather outside with a material/fabric cushions. The earcups just kind of clip into the main part of the headphones. I actually dropped them and both earcups flew off. The were easily snapped back in. The cord was flat and flexible as one would expect.
The headphones themselves are very comfortable and I wore them for long periods of gaming and music listening. I normally have issues at the top of head hurting after hours of use but with these they felt the same after 5 hours as they did after one. I did not have any sweat forming at the earcups which is a huge plus.
The sound quality is on par for headphones with 50mm drivers. I think there was a good balance mid and high without a distorted bass. The Dolby Atmos feature really added to the overall sound profile of these headphones. The only thing that I found that when gaming in chat I had to keep my volume at 50% or under or it would echo. I tried to adjust the setting on my Xbox but nothing seemed to fix the echo issue.
The mic worked great for me. I personally like flip to mute mics.

Compact and ideal for kids

This RIG Nacon is small and compact as advertised. It almost seemed like a Playstation controller rather than an Xbox controller. The controller itself seems well built and reliable through my use of it thus far. I noticed no stick drift/creep at all to this point. The buttons are well placed, and I did not find myself hitting them by mistake like I do on my regular full size wireless controller. The cord length was more than adequate.
I have fairly large hands and for me this controller was too small. I found that the points/ends of the controller dug into the palm of my hand making it uncomfortable for long periods of play. One other thing that I found was that the triggers could use more travel for my personal setup. The Dolby Atmos worked as intended for this device.
This controller can be remapped by using the app which was pretty straight forward and easy to use.

Good 3 camera system

THE BREAKDOWN:
This REXING- V5 PLUS 3-Channel 4K DashCam 2.7 LCD with voice control, Wi-Fi and GPS is priced right and is very easy to install.
Everything you need to get this up and running is in the box. It even included a 32G SD memory card to get you started. Once installed the cameras are easy to move around and fine toon to your needs.
One thing to note about this camera system is that you enable all 3 cameras then the quality will drop from 4K to 1080p. You can however have your front camera on 4K and the rear camera will be at 1080p. For myself I really don’t have a use for the cabin or inside camera. If I was a lyft or Uber driver I could see the use.
The installation was pretty straight forward, and it even came with a little plastic tool to help hide the cable. This whole process took me around 20 min.
The images were best on the front camera. The rear camera was good but not excellent and the cabin camera was the worse of the three. Like I said that wasn’t an issue for me as I will not likely use the cabin camera.
For me the app was just ok. With the app you can view the footage straight on your phone. The streaming of the video to my phone really wasn’t that bad. It wasn’t instant but it was good. If you want to download your data you have to take the micro SD card out of the camera an plug it in your computer. Then download the media to save it or share it.

Compact but needs work

This Miroir M190 Mini Pro Projector is perfect for a portable simple easy to use projector. The main things abouts this projector is that it is small, light and easy to use.
This item comes with the projector, HDMI cable, charger which has multiple different AC plug types. Along with a very non informative instruction manual, granted it isn’t much to get set-up, but the instructions were not that great.
The setup was pretty self-explanatory, you can use your laptop, tablet or phone or whatever device you have to connect to the projector either by USB-C or HDMI. This is really a plug and play device.
This thing is very small and compact. It measures about 7/8 inch thick, 6 inches long and 3.75 inches wide. The projector weighs almost 1 lb.

It does have too many buttons to mess with, it has a focus button, a lens cover switch (which turns the projector on and off). There are 3 buttons under the Miroir logo, an “M” which switches the device to normal and ECO mode, the “+” and “-“ that adjust the volume and the battery level indicator lights on the top by the lens. There is also a stand to adjust the height of the image at the bottom of the device.
The battery is said to be rated at 2 hours and I found that it made it to that mark several times before running out of juice. My preference would be to have it plugged into a battery source if you are using it indoors.

The projector itself is only 200 lumens. The company recommends semi lit or dark rooms to use this device. In my opinion it needs to be dark to make the best out of it. Especially since this is only 480p. This device can also project up to 80 inches.
The sound isn’t really that great in open area but does sound better in a smaller space. If it were me I would use a Bluetooth speaker for sound with this one.

Fast and easy addon storage

This Western Digital P10 was a nice expansion drive for my Xbox Series X or it could be used for your PC. The setup was quick and easy, and it works as intended.
This device was really plug and play, as soon as you plug it in it recognizes it in both the Xbox and the PC and configures it for you. The drive itself is super slim, sleek and compact. It is made of plastic and has some nice rubber feet on the bottom. IT has a USB 3.0 5Gb/s interface and 2TB capacity which goes really good with the Ultimate Game Pass subscription included.
So, this drive performs well for what it is. This is an HDD not an SSD that has transfer speeds of 130MB/s. Meaning that some of the some of the Series X fully enhanced games will not play at optimal performance.

Full of features and easy to install

THE BREAKDOWN:
The Lorex Home center with 2K Smart Deterrence Outdoor Wire-Free cameras performed as you would think they would. I found the build to build and quality to be excellent and be very user friendly.
The setup was really fast and easy. I think it took me 10 min at most to get up and running. One exception being charging the camera batteries for over 4 hours before use (more on this topic later). You can use the hub itself to get started or use it in conjunction with the app. Either way the process was easy and simple. The camera mounting was simple and easy as it was two screws, and everything clicked into place.
The touchscreen video hub has a very familiar feel to it, as it is like an iPad or touchscreen tablet. The hub even supports Alexa enabled voice recognition and Face-ID. Another great feature of the hub is that it has physical switches to turn off the mic and the lens shutter. This feature is good for those like to take the extra step in locking down their privacy. There are so many ways to configure the hub. You can put it to sleep and make the screen dark, I find this very helpful especially if you have this next to your bed. You can even load your own pictures on it and have them display like digital picture frame. You can have your cameras displayed or the weather. There are many ways in which to customize the hub. The system comes with a 64GB microSD card for local storage and is expandable up to 1TB. There is also a handy USB port on the back of the hub that allows you to import or export images fast and easy.
There is also an extender that comes with this unit. It takes about a minute to link up and start working. I found that I never had any issues with connectivity before or after installation of this device.
The 2K cameras performed well and I love the fact that there are no wires to mess with. The two-way audio did work but was laggy in my opinion. I had to hit the mic button a few times before it finally connected and worked. The camera batteries took over 4 hours to fully charge and I had to actually charge the battery while out of the camera. This is because there is a light indicator on the actual battery but when I tried to charge the battery while in the camera there was no light indicating it was charging. I felt as if the quality and face recognition worked well. You can even set it up to where a spotlight comes on when motion is detected.

is that machine automatic?
Yes, this machine is automatic. Once you load the whole beans or you can a scoop of ground coffee and fill the water reservoir you just select the button for which coffee you would like it to make. It automatically dumps the grounds inside. I have made several cups before I had to empty the grounds collector. Hope that helps.
