Pricey up front and slow

THE BREAKDOWN:
This printer has a high initial cost but the cost savings is in the ink over time. It has a simple and easy to use design.
The packaging was very well done. It was just enough packaging to get the product delivered. In the box was everything needed to get this product up and running.
The initial setup was quite lengthy but easily accomplished. It had a guide that guided you through the startup procedures. It was a little different actually loading the ink in the reservoir verses just putting in an ink cartridge.
I really like the design of the printer. It is very simple yet effective and it is very light compared to other printers in the past. The size is very compact as it measures 14.8 in (Width), 9.1 in (Height), and 13.7 in (Depth). It also weighs in at just under 15 lbs.
The printing is excellent quality. It has a ton of printing options to include mobile printing options. The mobile options are Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print and Mopria Print service. The paper storage capacity is 250 sheets which has been pretty standard with this line. It has the automatic document feeder which works as intended.
It states it prints 11 pages per minutes and I averaged 10 pages per minute a few times. Not that it is that big of a deal.

SUMMARY:
Overall, I feel that this product is really good for the price. Very simple to use with a lot of mobile printing options. I personally used the mobile printing options the most. I could be at work and print return labels that would be ready when I got home. That way I don’t forget. Having a teacher in the family this comes in handy to print the ton of papers needed to run a classroom with the added benefit of the ink being cheaper. I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for something like this.

Very Portable but needs some love at louder levels

THE BREAKDOWN:
This is easily one of my favorite bluetooth speakers. It doesn’t have a lot of the bells and whistles some of the other bluetooth speakers have. It really doesn’t need it. It has a simple and easy to use design.
The packaging was very well done. It was just enough packaging to get the product delivered. In the box was everything needed to get this product up and running.
The initial setup was simple I had it connected to my phone in just seconds.
I really like the design of the speaker, the big plus and minus volume buttons, very simple yet effective. The body was covered in a waterproof fabric and the top and bottom of speaker had a rubbery feel. I feel the size if perfect especially if you like being in the outdoors. There is also rubbery loop handle on the top.
The sound is very good. This speaker can get really loud and had an outdoor boost feature that makes it even louder without distorting the sound. I did however feel that when the volume was around 75% the bass was a little distorted. I use it daily in my workout room and it is more than loud enough. I tried it outside as well and it yielded the same results, very nice and loud. The range was very good I could go all over my house with my phone and the speaker never missed a beat.
The battery life is excellent as it states. I believe they stated 13 hour battery life and I use this everyday for at least 2 hours and only charged it 6 days and it still had battery life. Another negative item with this speaker would be there is no way to tell the exact battery level.

I have to say I was excited to get this product and try it! I have owned an electric toothbrush for years and was looking forward to all the new features of this one

The initial setup was simple and I was up and running in a matter of just minutes that was including the initial charge.
I felt like it was very well made and the fit and finish was excellent. The one downfall that I didn’t like was that the water reservoir has wholes built in and to me that just lets dust and other particles get in. Especially if you have it located your bathroom like myself.
The toothbrush itself felt like it didn’t not clean my teeth as well as my current one. It was kind of loud and the timer worked well. One other comment is that it does come with a travel case but there is no way to charge it if you take it with you on a trip.
The actual water flossing was excellent and being able to control the water pressure was excellent. I really felt like this is where this device shined. I loved how well it actually flossed my teeth.

Innovative and Elegant

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product is another line of the ever growing WiFi/Bluetooth wireless door locks. All my testing was done with an iOS device/devices.
The packaging was very well done. It was just enough packaging to get the product delivered. In the box was everything needed to get this product up and running.
The installation took me about 15 min for the hardware. This is a very simple task for anyone who has changed a deadbolt before. Once the actual hardware was installed I downloaded the app and begin to set up the lock using the app. I like to think of myself as a tech person ( as I am a developer by trade) but I had some issues after creating master PIN. I could not get the lock to calibrate. I called tech support and they walked me through some steps and had to escalate my issue. I finally got the issue resolved on the third call to tech support. After a few factory resets and removing the module a few times the lock is finally working as intended.
The lock itself is very well made. I love the feel and heft of it as it makes you feel like it is very secure. One more thing that I really liked was the backing was actual rubber not plastic giving the lock just another level of polish. One feature about the lock that worries me is the screen where you put your PIN in is made of what appears to be glass and I found a few smudges on there after a few days of use. This could potentially be a security risk. I just try and wipe if off when I remember.
One thing that I haven’t gotten to work yet is actually using the Home Kit on my iOS device. I have tried several times but it cannot find it for some reason.

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product is another line of the ever growing video doorbell craze. It may cost a few dollars less than more popular versions of this product. It has the free storage which is a huge plus. All my testing was done with an iOS device/devices.
The packaging was very well done. It was just enough packaging to get the product delivered. In the box was everything needed to get this product up and running.
The setup was very easy and they even had a video setup. I already had a wired doorbell so my setup took less than 10 minutes. The app was really well done and it was a step by step process.
The door bell itself is not metal it is plastic but they did a good job making it appear like a brushed metal.
The motion sensor seems to be a little lacking for me. It worked sometimes and not others. I even changed the motion detection to high, med and low with still a hit or miss detection. The app has a lot of changeable features which as a tech person I love. One really cool feature is the ability to change the LED color on the doorbell. Very nice touch.
The one thing that I did not really like was that this product doesn’t support the 5Mhz bandwidth (which would allow for faster speeds meaning higher quality video) it only works on 2.4Mhz band.
The video quality was questionable at best for me. The 1080 did not work at all for me. I only heard the sounds and saw a black screen. The 720p (Better) image quality setting was a good image but was very laggy and pixelated. I found the 720p (Good) image quality setting worked best for me with only a little pixelation and laggy video.
One note is if you do not hit the red button to disconnect the app will not load the next time you try and view the camera. The night vision was surprisingly good for me.
The sound quality was just okay for me. On the outside at the doorbell you can hear just fine but it wasn’t clear it was more like a walkie-talkie sound. On my phone it was just okay almost the same sound as outside.

One tip would be to do your research. I think the cons far outweigh the pros on this one and feel that at this price point I would not recommend this product to a friend.

THE BREAKDOWN:
The Bose Frames caught me by surprise. They really deliver on sound. I thought the sound was excellent and balanced as expected from Bose. If you're looking for extreme bass then this product is not for you. Most of my friends and family were surprised at how loud they can get. I do think they after the volume hits 70 percent it does kind of sound distorted.
The side arms appear bulky but really don’t feel heavy on your face or become uncomfortable over time. At first I thought that everyone around me would be able to hear my music or phone conversations but they really don’t allow that much sound to get out of your personal space. They worked very well for making calls, I was able to hear people clear and without distortion and and they were able to hear me just fine. I tested this and the music function on several 3-5 mile runs as well as at work.
The AR function is really neat. Bose really did a great job in making this feel immersive. The AR functioned like it was intended to do. It was able to track and make responses on my head movements and by my voice. Overall, they did a great job on making this work. All I can say is give it a try for yourself.
The fit for me on the Rondo’s was a little tight as I have a large head the Alto’s are larger and may have fit me a little better. It took some time to get used to the placement of the power button as I kept hitting it when taking them off. The button features worked as intended and I really like the auto off after 2 seconds when you lay them upside down.
Battery life isn’t great. I got about 3 hours and 20 minutes consistently of usage. Also, it took about 2 hours to charge them.
PRO’s:
-Great sound for a small package
-Frames don’t feel heavy
-Very little sound leakage past your immediate area
-Awesome for calls or music
-Easy to pair

-The only thing that would make this nicer is if it used USB-C instead of the MICRO-USB.
The Bottom Line:
If you travel this device is a must have. You do not have to chase down cables and plug it in if you have a full charge. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

Great headphones at a great price point!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
These headphones are very lightweight and sleek. They are on-the-ear not over-the-ear headphones. That being said they are very soft and feel great on your ear but they do get hot after wearing them awhile. The lightweight headphone did not feel heavy or give me a headache after wearing them for extended period of time.
I thought the battery life was excellent at 30 hours. It does have a fast charge feature which is 10 minutes of charge will give you approx.. 90 min of listening. I tested this feature and found it to be spot on. Otherwise for a full charge it took almost 4 hours consistently.
The connection was simple and easy. The app that controls it was easy to download and use. It does have a lot of features in the app. You can change the position of the sound from the sides to the front or back. I found the sound to of excellent quality and would compare them with my Bose headphones. The extra bass was excellent as advertised.

"Smart" USB charger....NOT for me!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
To start off, I found this product to be packaged very nicely. The only thing that I would complain about is the 3.5mm cable box is tough to get out if you have big hands.
The setup was pretty simple. I have an iOS phone and unlike those that have android my app did not automatically download. Not that it was an issue, I easily found it and downloaded it. The setup was quite simple and took only about 2 minutes.
The first time I set this up using only the AUX port. It worked as intended. The only downside was you can only play music using your phone. If you change your car to FM or AM or CD you cannot use this device. While making calls the person said it sounded as if I was in a barrel.
The second time I set it up using the Bluetooth function. It worked as it should but when on a call the other side said it sounded as if I was in a barrel. I also noticed that it switched between using my vehicle mic and the mic on the device itself.
While trying to use the Google Assistant it was very laggy. I felt as if sometimes it took up to 10 seconds to get the listening tone and after I gave it a command it took upwards of 20 seconds to respond.
The charging ports are not fast chargers they are only 2.4 amps per port. I tried both ports and they worked as intended.
PRO’s:
-It does have charging ports…..but they are not fast charging
-If you have a vehicle that does not have Bluetooth capabilities you do not have to plug in the 3.5mm jack every time you get in

I really don’t think that this product is worth the money. You can do everything just using your smartphone without the need for this middle ware if you will. The idea of a “Smart” charger really doesn’t even make sense if you ask me because you can just use your phone. Overall, I’m not impressed but I look forward to seeing what happens in the future!

Captivating, Innovating not there yet!!

Let me start off by saying that this SAMSUNG QLED is CAPTIVATING and very innovative. It has an amazing picture quality and vibrant color spectrum due to Samsung’s quantum dot technology. They are the absolute brightest colors with deep and true blacks that I have ever seen on a TV. Overall, I think that this TV is refined, updated and suitable for movie watchers, sports fans, video gamers or technology lovers like myself. Just a beginning note: even though this was an incentivized review as part of a promotion, these comments are honest and they are mine.
The design of packaging was beautiful and well-engineered! The unboxing was pleasing to eyes and the geek inside me as well. Each step was carefully calculated to maximize the user experience while creating “Christmas present-like” anticipation. They even figured out how to use the curved Styrofoam part of the packing as a stool to set the TV on while you attach your connections. The instructions were detailed and on point. I personally did not use the stand that came with the TV, I instead used a wall mount. One thing to keep in mind is if you are going to wall mount the TV, make sure you have the proper bolts which are listed in the manual. I had to run to Home Depot to get a few, luckily I only live 8 minutes from there. The stand that came with it however was very well built, beautiful and sleek with the ability to hide the cables from your TV to the OneConnect box. The “Boundless 360° design” is amazing, not quite infinity edge but very close. Most edges really are pencil thin and the ability to hide/run cables through the supplied mount is genius One comment on the back of the TV would be that it is sleek and visually pleasing, I feel that the grooves/ridges give a slimmer than actual look. On a side note: is the one box a good idea? It does declutter the cables if you are wall mounting but if not, it just adds to the additional boxes that you have. For me it does reduce the wires on the wall but I gain another box (which is a pretty good size) you have to find a place for. I will let you decide, I think I would rather have extra cable than another box to deal with.
The set-up process was rather fast, simple and straight forward. There was a power cable and super thin HDMI cable (which by the way is $299) that goes from the back of the TV to the OneConnect box. One thing to note is you need to outlets for power, one for the TV and one for the OneConnect box.
From the moment you turn it on you will be amazed!! There will be a little demo and then it walks you through the setup process. It connected to all of my devices except the sound system (which I will describe later). The Samsung QLED TV is a serious upgrade from the first generation UN46B6000VF that I replaced with it! This TV has some of the most strikingly bright and sharpest colors I have viewed on ANY TV. There were a few times while watching a movie that it was so lifelike that it looked fake. The colors that are produced with this TV are absolutely stunning!! The only caveat that I have with that is at night when watching in total darkness the colors can almost seem too bright and actually hurt my eyes (this is in Dynamic Picture Mode). The factory setting menu has a bright white background and is SUPER bright. However, they have a setting you can change to make it darker color so that it doesn’t hurt your eyes. One of the issues I found when viewing in daylight and at night is local dimming and “blooming”. This is one of the downfall of edge-lit displays. While viewing a local dimming/blooming example from YouTube ( https://youtu.be/qmL2H2WPQL8 ) in day or night conditions it still has a good amount of “blooming”.
This TV is AWESOME in almost every viewing mode i.e. Xbox One playing, Xfinity TV, Amazon Video, Netflix (With Ultra High Def.) I have tested almost everything but the PC and it is absolutely amazing.
I have never owned a curved TV but have seen then in stores and this one hasn’t disappointed me. The only time you even notice that it is really curved is if you are standing directly beside it. While watching 8-10 feet way on the couch or directly in front or off to the sides of it you never even notice that it is curved. The contrast and picture from the front and slightly off to the sides is amazing! One thing about this particular TV is that when you move past 45° from the center the stunning colors start to diminish. This is particularly disappointing as they have boasted “Picture perfect view from every seat” which in my testing just wasn’t the case. As much as I wanted to give perfect marks this was a major disappointment.
The remote is metal with upgraded feel, sleek and stylish well thought out! Even the batteries have a little button to push to get the batteries out. The remote works with all my other components just fine. I do think that there is learning curve to using this remote with all the other components. My wife hates that there is a lack of buttons like fast forward and rewind for when we are watching recorded shows. Don’t get me wrong you CAN fast forward but it requires some extra button pushing. I think that the larger remote just has more functionality. I do like the idea of simplification but all the functionality is there. The voice functions on the remote actually work very well with little to no background interference. The total inputs for this model are: HDMI-4, USB-3, Digital Optical Audio Out-1, Tuner (Cable/Ant)-1, and Ethernet-1. I feel that it has plenty of options for inputs.
The inherent speakers sound average in my opinion. The sound quality is not excellent but it isn’t terrible either. I do have a 5.1 Samsung surround sound system that I use. With that being said there has been some complications on the TV recognizing it. It recognizes it then just goes back to the onboard speakers instead. I have contacted Samsung customer support to rectify this issue. Once the issue is addressed and rectified I will update my review.
The apps function of this TV are AMAZING. I can get to all the things I love at the click of the button in less than second. This function is fluid and fast, just an amazing feature that works better than intended in my opinion. The interface is smooth and simple and zero lag. I can get to my cable, Netflix, Amazon and YouTube in a split second.

In closing this TV has the most amazing colors I have ever seen. It is sleek and modern with a super easy user interface and a plug and play feel. Which is what most consumers are looking for these days. For those super techy people this TV may be lacking especially at this price point. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this Samsung QLED Q7C.
The design of packaging was beautiful and well-engineered! The unboxing was pleasing to eyes and the geek inside me as well. Each step was carefully calculated to maximize the user experience while creating “Christmas present-like” anticipation. They even figured out how to use the curved Styrofoam part of the packing as a stool to set the TV on while you attach your connections. The instructions were detailed and on point. I personally did not use the stand that came with the TV, I instead used a wall mount. One thing to keep in mind is if you are going to wall mount the TV, make sure you have the proper bolts which are listed in the manual. I had to run to Home Depot to get a few, luckily I only live 8 minutes from there. The stand that came with it however was very well built, beautiful and sleek with the ability to hide the cables from your TV to the OneConnect box. The “Boundless 360° design” is amazing, not quite infinity edge but very close. Most edges really are pencil thin and the ability to hide/run cables through the supplied mount is genius One comment on the back of the TV would be that it is sleek and visually pleasing, I feel that the grooves/ridges give a slimmer than actual look. On a side note: is the one box a good idea? It does declutter the cables if you are wall mounting but if not, it just adds to the additional boxes that you have. For me it does reduce the wires on the wall but I gain another box (which is a pretty good size) you have to find a place for. I will let you decide, I think I would rather have extra cable than another box to deal with.

is that machine automatic?
Yes, this machine is automatic. Once you load the whole beans or you can a scoop of ground coffee and fill the water reservoir you just select the button for which coffee you would like it to make. It automatically dumps the grounds inside. I have made several cups before I had to empty the grounds collector. Hope that helps.
