Great Package and Price!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
Let me start by saying that gaming laptops these days are a super competitive market. I was expecting big things from Dell on this one. Have had other Dell laptops in the past I look forward to putting this one through the paces.
The packaging was very simple with nothing extra. At first when I opened the package I was thinking that I received a refurbished laptop as there was just the laptop, charger and warranty card, that’s was it. No fancy vibrant pictures or anything else just bare bones.
After unboxing, I plugged the laptop in and turned it on. The Windows 10 setup was pretty easy, especially if you have an account already. I was up and running in a matter of just minutes.
The design and feel of the laptop for me was great. It feels very solid even though its made of plastic. I love the blue rubber feet on the bottom and it also raises up the laptop to allow for airflow. One thing on the design for me was very lack luster and that is the fact that at the top of the keyboard the plastic goes up at an angle and creates a viewable space in-between the base and the laptop screen. It may not bother some people but I found it very distracting.
The performance was very competitive among other gaming laptops in this price range. I would score it slightly higher than other laptops on this price range.
Running some benchmark tests, 3D Mark and PC Mark 10, this laptop comes in slightly higher than there typical results of a gaming laptop. Played several games on max settings and averaged anywhere from 40-100FPS. One note is that when playing World of Warcraft for some reason I was getting only 40-50FPS.
On this laptop I found the fans to be louder than normal. I also had a Bios update while playing a game and on restart I received the blue screen of death. I took several times going into advanced setting and finally had to just wipe it and start again. So, one note to buyers is go to the Dell support website and download all of the updates before you begin testing/playing.
I thought the battery life was just ok at about 2 hours of gaming and around 3 hours of streaming video.
WiFi was excellent as expected for me I was getting really good almost max throughput every day.

Super fun

THE BREAKDOWN:
Where was this when I was younger. This is a super fun toy and I thought that it was enjoyable without the app. It has realistic light effects and authentic movie sounds. This thing is packed with a plethora sensors to track your every movement and it is bluetooth enabled to integrate with modern technology like smart phones and tablets.
The light saber itself is pretty cool looking with a few buttons with a little slide section that opens to expose the “Kyber Crystal” that is a button. It has multiple LED lights and even changes with the characters. The sound effects are even synced up. The sensors that I spoke about earlier are an accelerometer, gyroscope and barometer that tracks the angle, speed and your accuracy and communicates all that with the app.
The app itself was easy to locate and download. Once you get the app downloaded you press the action button on the light saber it connects quickly. After you get the saber connected and calibrate the sensors on the saber the fun begins. You can go to training or right into fighting. The battle master game is turn based and you can block, attack and use the force.

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product was nicely packaged. Everything you needed to get this product up and running was in the box. This Lynksys Velop AX5300 is a dual node mesh Wi-Fi networking system. I have to admit that I own the previous version of this product except it has 3 nodes.
This system is very simple to get setup and running. Once you download the app it walks you through each step and it really doesn’t take but about about 10-15 minutes to get it up and running. I actually kept my Wi-Fi name and password the same so that all my devices would just connect automatically. I only had one device that I had to reenter the Wi-Fi name and password.
If you are a previous owner of the Velop system (like the one I mentioned above) then it is good to note that the new system is compatible with the old system. What does that mean? Well, it means that this system is backward compatible with the old system and will also work with the new system. You can use the old nodes to help further extend your Wi-Fi if you wanted. I have found that the 2 nodes far exceeded the 3 nodes that I used to have.
Performance was excellent. With my old system I was getting speeds around 180Mbps down and 24Mbps up wirelessly. As soon as I got this system up and running I immediately tested it and it far exceeded my expectations. I was getting speeds 100Mbps faster down!!!! I tested this in all the remote areas of my 3000+square ft home. Yes, speeds of 290Mbps just like that, simply amazing!!
Another new feature that I really liked is the addition of 4 Gigabit LAN ports. I use this for hardwiring some of my devices and this was a huge plus for me.
You can also add a USB storage device to the 3.0 port and share other devices like printers over your network.
A couple things that I found particularly annoying is that for some reason my phone and a couple other devices would connect to the farthest node and connect on the 2.4Ghz band. This was one of the features of the past that dramatically hindered my speed. If there was a 2.4Ghz device connected it would downgrade all the devices connected to that 2.4Ghz band. I had to call tech support and log into the router via the computer not the app and configure a separate 2.4Ghz band. However, for this router I found that even though it stated it was on the 2.4Ghz band the speed did not downgrade.
The other issue was when enabling the Guest Wi-Fi access it locked up and lost the second router. I had to manually turn off and back on the node and then from the app I had to restart my Velop system.

Fun for the whole family

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product was nicely packaged. This package included the Portal TV device, power cord and remote with batteries. The only thing needed that wasn’t supplied that is needed is an HDMI cable.
This system is very simple to get setup and running. It took around 20 minutes to do the initial setup. It takes a while to get the updates and connect to your Facebook account. One note on my installation is that initially my contact downloaded and I was able to set favorites but once I went all the way into the app my contacts disappeared. I tried restarting the device and that did not work. Once I logged out of the app and logged back in the contact list just seemed to reappear. Once everything was updated and logged in I could call anyone on my contact list that had Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp.
I thought the camera worked well. I think they call it a smart camera that is AI powered and automatically adjusts and zooms. I feel that this worked well with the exception of having multiple people in the room as it would not pick them up in the viewing area. The camera put your head at the top of the screen would sometimes cut off the effects even while playing the games.
This is a great tool for communicating with friends and family, especially those that live far away. We were able to communicate with our family, add those cool augmented effects, play the games and the story books.
The portal offers a variety of 3rd party apps like Showtime, CBS, Stars, Sling TV and Redbull to name a few. These apps are available by selecting the “Portal Apps” icon.
One last thing that I would like to mention is the way that it sets on the top of your TV. At first I had it setting in front of my TV then I realized how it was designed to set on top your your tv. Just genius!

Must have small factor workout system

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product was nicely packaged. Upon opening the package I immediately went to find an instruction booklet or a quick start guide. Right away I found the card and went online to register my product and unlock my free training videos. This package included the TRX Suspension Trainer, door anchor, extender, key card (gives access to an 8 week workout guide and 9 video workouts), 4 TRX resistance bands, mesh carrying bag and a get started guide.
This system is very simple to get setup and running. I like it because it is light and portable. Hands down a very good investment. The construction of this trainer is very good and feels solid. I love how sturdy the grips feel. Another good thing about the grips are that they are very comfortable and have a nice rubbery feel.
You can get a great bodyweight workout at anytime in almost any place. I found that I smoked myself every time I used this system. I was sore for the first few days and I normally work out 5-6 days a week. I found that it used different muscles then I normally use giving me more stability in my joints. You can also increase the difficulty by using steeper angles, increased angles and increased speed. I felt as if it helped to strengthen my core muscles and those stabilizer muscles. The first day I did have the “shakes” a lot because my stabilizing muscles were not acclimated to this type of exercise.
Perhaps the best thing about this system is that the exercises can be done by people of all ages and skill levels. I loved the provided video workouts. They did an amazing job preparing and executing those. Great thing to have if you are low on time like me, as I don’t want to spend time preparing workouts. It is nice just to log on and select a workout and hit play!

This product was nicely packaged. Upon opening the package I immediately went to find an instruction booklet or a quick start guide. Well, the only thing this had was an instruction booklet that had super small print and really no instructions other than go to the website and download their software. The packaging or instruction did not even give a list of what was included in the package or even an explanation of the parts included.
I found that the mouse itself fit my hand very well and I really enjoy the right and left mouse buttons. I felt they had a very sturdy mechanical click. I also thought that the mouse wheel felt solid and worked well.
The sides of I found to be smooth and slick. For me I like a little grip on the sides of my mouse.
Another odd thing was I did not find a compartment for the rechargeable battery that you can open. I find that this is an important item to have because rechargeable batteries do go bad and it would be nice to be able to replace it rather than having to replace the whole mouse.
While using it in photo editing programs and several different video games I felt as it it worked well and as advertised. Other than the few things I mentioned it really did work well. I like the fact that you can use it wirelessly or wired. I like wired mice personally so I like that this one fits that personal preference.

Great photo editor at a great Price

THE BREAKDOWN:
Let me start by saying that Photoshop Elements is great at fitting for both beginners to advanced users.
The digital download was quick and easy and I was up and running in just a few minutes.
I really enjoyed using this easy to use interface. I have used an older version of Photoshop Elements in the past. I feel that this version compared to the other version is pretty much like having the full blown Adobe Photoshop but with an easier to use interface and wide range of capabilities.
One of the best features for me is the guided edits. This is basically what it states, it is a step by step guide on how to use the photo editing techniques that my seem confusing or even complex. I believe there are 55 different guided edits. If you have never used the guided edit, it is exactly what it states. It guides you step by step through the edit you choose. One of my favorite edits the object removal. I know you have taken pictures where it is the perfect picture except there are people in the background or some object, well now with object removal it is super easy to erase that blemish and have your perfect photo.
Another interesting and new feature for this iteration of Photo Elements is the pattern brush and yes it one of the guided edits. I thought that with the new Adobe Sensei it did a really good job of tracking the picture so that when you put the patter close to object on the picture it did not overlap on the image but rather cut that portion out.
Expert mode is another feature worth mentioning. For those that are serious photographers you might save yourself some money trying this instead of the full blown Photoshop.

Good price and great features!

THE BREAKDOWN:
Let me start by saying that overall I felt as if this camera really delivered and met my expectations.
The packaging wasn’t super fancy in any way but it got the job done. Everything inside was packaged very nice. It had everything you needed besides the Phillips head screwdriver to get you and running. One really nice surprise is that it came with a 25ft extension cable for the power supply.
The instructions for setup were very clear. It just required a Phillips screw driver, drill and drill bit set, and iOS or Android device and high speed internet (which can only be 2.4Ghz range).
Some of the great features of this camera is that it includes a 16Gb SD card to record activities so there are no monthly payment plans that you have to consider. It has Infrared LED Night Vision that gives good detail up to 100ft away in the day or night. The resolution is 4MP (2K) and I feel that it really delivered on that. Doesn’t give that super crisp 4K UHD but then again it doesn’t say that it does. It claims to be IP67 weather resistant which is good since I placed this camera outside to watch my pool. The app actually doesn’t work that bad.
The picture isn’t bad and I found that the setup was super easy. The mounting, in which I mounted it outside took around 15 minutes. Downloading the app and connecting the camera to the app took another 10-15 minutes. Just remember that the camera will not connect to a homes network that is 5GHz it must be 2.4GHz.
The app really did work pretty well. I only had one instance where the app wouldn’t connect to the camera while I was away from the house. The app let you set the sensitivity of the camera, select part of the picture to exclude in alerts(called Guards advanced Activity Regions), take pictures and video. It really does offer just about everything you need to get the job done.

Worth every penny!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
Let me start by saying that I have been looking forward to getting an espresso maker for a long time. Well let me tell you the wait was so worth it. This espresso maker was surprisingly lightweight and stylish.
The packaging was very well done and like opening high end merchandise. I have seen many espresso makers and most if not all of them where made of metal and felt solid. This one was surprisingly small and lightweight. Being made of plastic really cuts the weight down and hopefully it lasts just as long as the heavy metal ones. One thing that was really handy was the plastic handles on the plastic wrap to help lift it out of the box. A very simplistic but effective design.
The instructions for setup were not very clear. I have to admit that I’m spoiled by a link to a setup video or like a very nice color quick start guide. This one just had the black and white print instructions. They got the job done but I felt it could have been better. I was able to find a setup video online by Philips which was really great.
This machine makes 5 different types of coffee at a touch of a button and also has a hot water setting. It makes espresso, coffee, Americano, cappuccino, latte macchiato and of course the hot water. For over a week I have been using this machine and I have to say that really like it. I was expecting a lot from this as it is $800 and it delivered.
I really like that you can make custom setting for how you like your drinks. It auto powers off and it starts up in just around 15 seconds or so. One, tiny annoying feature is that it pours out water every time you power it on. It does catch it in the drip tray but for me it is a little annoying. I like that you don’t have to empty out the grounds after every cup. It collects them in a nice pull out tray and the bin comes out for easy disposal and a quick rinse.
The frother attachment worked well and was easy to clean. For us when we had remaining milk we just removed the frother and put the lid on and placed it in the fridge for use later.
The built in grinder is amazing and you can choose how course you want to grind your beans. You can also add ground coffee if you wish. I used the ground feature and thought it worked very well.
Overall, I found this espresso machine to be awesome and well worth the money. I think that I could easy pay for this by making my own “fancy” coffee and not going the local “fancy” coffee places. My wife really loves the frothy “fancy” coffees as for me I”m an Americano kinda guy!

THE BREAKDOWN:
The toothbrush was very lightweight and stylish.
The packaging was very well done and like opening high end merchandise. It included the main body of the toothbrush, two heads, the charging cable, base and plugin head.
The instructions for setup were very clear and easy to understand. After unpacking and installing the brush head I let it charge overnight before I began using it.
First and foremost it has a simple minimalistic design that is sleek and sleek. I also thought the same thing about the charging base. The charging base has light ring around the bottom which I pretty much used as a night light in the bathroom. That feature may be viewed as negative for some people.
So, this is pretty standard fare for the world of electric toothbrushes with the exception of the brush heads. Which are infused with activated charcoal to limit/inhibit bacteria growth. The standard fare refers to the timer which lets you know when 30 seconds have passed and turns off after 2 minutes.
Another feature that I really liked was the speed setting. On this toothbrush you have 3 different speed settings; low medium and high. This Boka toothbrush also vibrates at 30,000 per minute.
Overall, I found this toothbrush to be inferior to the one I currently own. I’m not sold on the “sonic” vibrations and the super soft bristles. I found this toothbrush leaving me with an unclean feeling on teeth. Maybe I’m just used to my other electric toothbrush that I have been using for years.

Overall, I feel that this product is just ok. I don’t this product is for me personally but I would definitely recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for a “vibrating” toothbrush.

Yes, this system claims to be weatherproof. To work in all conditions like rain and snow all year round.

is that machine automatic?
Yes, this machine is automatic. Once you load the whole beans or you can a scoop of ground coffee and fill the water reservoir you just select the button for which coffee you would like it to make. It automatically dumps the grounds inside. I have made several cups before I had to empty the grounds collector. Hope that helps.
