Comfortable but needs some work

THE BREAKDOWN:
These Sony INZONE H3 headphones are pretty comfortable, and I love the earcups. They are lightweight but have solid feel to them. The top band/crown is made of a plastic and soft faux leather material. The earcups were very comfortable and I love the fact they have the sport material instead of the normal faux leather material because the faux leather normally flakes off. I don’t see this being an issue with these earcups. The cord was a thin rubber wire that is very cheap feeling, and they do not detach from the headphones themselves. Two reasons why I don’t personally like this feature, one: if you get it caught on anything it will pull the headphones off your head, two: if the cord goes bad you have to replace the whole headphones. There is a bump on the earcup with the mic that has the volume wheel. I do like it as it is easy to find.
The headphones themselves are comfortable but did squeeze my head in the beginning. I wore them for long periods of gaming and music listening. I normally have issues at the top of head hurting after hours of use but with these they felt the same after 5 hours as they did after one. I did not have any sweat forming at the earcups which is a huge plus. The foam in the earcups assisted in the comfort.
The sound quality was just okay for these headphones with the 40mm drivers. I think the sound was kind of bland with the mids taking over the details with the 3.5mm connection. When using the USB dongle this software allows users to make your own sound profiles that saves right to the dongle then you can take it and plug it in to the PlayStation or XBOX. I was able to adjust the detail a little better with the USB dongle. Overall, for the sound I felt like the best experience was with the 3.5mm connection.
The mic worked great for me. I personally like flip to mute mics. The communication while using the 3.5mm cable was excellent and clear. The communication with the USB sounded a little on lower side compared to the 3.5mm.

Great battery life, love the color

THE BREAKDOWN:
The JLab Go Air Sport is built to be light weight and for people with active lifestyles. They are stylish with the pop of color which gives it some life rather than the standard black and white. The are pretty comfortable and come with small, medium and large ear cushions.
To get started you need to remove the plastic over the charging dots on the earpieces themselves. This particular case has the USB stowed in the back of the case, so you can just plug it in to your computer or charging block. After charging they were easy to connect. You can also just use one earbud if you wanted to. When I run, I actually like to only have one in so I can hear my surroundings. The one negative thing is that due to the nature of the over-the-ear design it makes my sunglasses sit higher on my head.
The battery life stated that you get 8+ hours out of each earbud and another 24+ hours out of the charging case. I found that I was consistently getting 7.5 hours out of the earbuds.
These earbuds are IP55 sweat resistant, and I found no issues with that. I even ran in the rain a few times with no issues resulting.
I found the earbud sound to be very good. The sound was well balanced. You even have 8 custom EQ sound settings to choose from. Making calls the mic worked great and was very clear. The touch ear controls worked as expected.

Easy to install and feature packed!

THE BREAKDOWN:
The Sensi ST55 is packed with useful features with an affordable price tag. Some of those features are voice control with Siri (Apple), Alexa (Amazon) and Google assistant, support for Apple Home kit and SmartThings platforms and has support for geofencing.
The Sensi ST55 isn’t going to win any awards for the most stylish as it is very plain looking with the classic white matte finish. It measures 3.7(Height) X 5.8(Width) X 1.0(Depth) inches. It has a monochrome LCD panel that measures 1.7(Height) X 2.7(Width) inches. To the right side of that is the menu button and up and down arrows that you use to access the settings where you can select temperature mode, configure heat and cooling pump settings, adjust fan speed, configure the WiFi and configure the humidification set points. Below the screen are 3 buttons the Mode, Fan and Schedule.
Included in the box are the thermostat, mounting base, mounting hardware, two AA batteries, wire labels, installation, and welcome guide. There is also a place in the mounting base for the batteries that is used for when the power goes out.
Installation was fairly easy. You can follow the on-screen instructions on the app or if you are well versed in the installation there are no need for instructions. To start you need to turn off the power to the unit. Then take a picture of your current wiring, remove the old thermostat, and install the new one by following the instructions. After you snap the thermostat onto the base it immediately powers up. You then open the app and the thermostat.

This thermostat performed very well in my testing. I thought there was very little lag in responding to the turning the temp up and down. I set a schedule and there were no issues, Siri voice commands and geofencing procedures worked as expected.
The thermostat uses a 2.4GHz WiFi to connect to your home network. The app works great and I felts as if the app was very intuitive and easy to follow and use.

Comfortable and affordable

THE BREAKDOWN:
These Corsair HS65 headphones are pretty comfortable, and I love the earcups. They are lightweight but have solid feel to them. The top band/crown is made of a plastic and metal. Under the top metal band is a headband strip that has padding with faux leather outer layer. The outer part of the earcups is made of plastic with a metal logo, while the earcups themselves are like a faux leather outside with a material/fabric cushions. I could not take earcup padding off the headphones. This could potentially be an issue if you ever had to change them out. I actually dropped them and both earcups flew off. The cord was a rubbery thick wire that has hardly any give to it, and they do not detach from the headphones themselves. The sound quality is great for these headphones with the 50mm drivers. I think there was a good balance mid and high without a distorted bass. With the 3.5mm jack plugged it these headphones sound performance was exactly how I like it! The bass wasn’t rumbly or overbearing the highs were not super high it had the perfect balance for me. Once I plugged in the USB I felt as if the sound wasn’t as loud but it did offer the Dolby Audio 7.1 surround sound with the USB. These headphones also have a feature named, iCUE for PC and Mac. This software allows users to make there own sound profiles. You can also make profiles based on a series of questions. I found that my sound profile from the questions ended up being extremely close to the stock 3.5mm setup. You can also use the iCUE software to connect to your other Corsair products.

OLED for the WIN!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
Having owned previous ASUS laptops this ASUS Zenbook Flip 2-in-1 with 15.6” OLED touch screen had expectations out of the box. Speaking of the box it was really neat how when you opened the lid it raised the laptop out of the box about an inch for you to grab. The main thing I was hoping to try out on this particular laptop was the OLED screen. Included in the box with the laptop, charging/power supply and the QR codes with a quick start guide. I started by plugging up my laptop and letting it charge. After I let it fully charge, I powered it on, the power button is a small button on the right side of the laptop not on the keyboard like I am accustomed to. The setup was quick and easy.
The OLED screen did impress! I found there was no pixilation or screen door effects. The colors were vibrant and no differences between one side of the screen to the other. The beautiful screen is accompanied with a beautiful blue body with silver accents. This thing screams high-end. The mouse/track pad is a full 5” X 3” and I found that it worked well. I also liked that there was even enough room for a number pad. The whole thing weighs in at 3.97 lbs. Not too bad. It has a HDMI port, 1 USB-A port, 2 USB-C ports, headphone jack and a micro-SD card reader. The flip/touch screen is a nice touch and lets you have the best of both worlds as you have a laptop and a tablet.
This ASUS Zenbook is packed with power. Let’s start with the Intel 12th gen core i7-12700H processor. I found this to aid in multitasking. I was zipping between projects easy and effortlessly. Next is the new Windows 11. This version of windows is redesigned, beautiful, and easy to maneuver around in. I find its like using my tablet. This laptop comes with 16GB of RAM which is sufficient for this laptop. It has 512GB PCIe SSD that works well without all the other drawbacks from the traditional drives. One thing lacking is the graphics card. This comes with an Intel Iris Xe Graphics card which is pretty budget friendly and lower quality. The Screen resolution doesn’t offer 4K but does have HD at 2880 X 1620.

Like a feather but better!!!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
I wasn’t sure what to expect with the steel series as I have never used any of there products before. I have seen there headsets and some of my friends to have and swear by the headsets so I decided to give this Aerox 9 Wireless Gaming mouse a try. Generally, I don’t really care about all the programmable lighting effects that peripherals have these days and in truth that sometime detracts me from products.
The setup was easy. I just switched the slider to Bluetooth on the mouse and went to my computer Bluetooth setting and added the device. It was simple and quick. There is also a wireless USB-C dongle method and a USB-C to USB-A cable (the length is 2 meters) method. So, in short you can connect by wired, 2.4G/Bluetooth.
This mouse is the lightest mouse I have ever used. This thing feels like a feather in your hand. It has a TrueMove Air sensor system with a sensitivity of 18,000 CPI, maximum speed of 400IPS, Maximum Acceleration 40G and a polling rate of 1,000Hz/1ms. It has 18 programmable buttons and a switch rate of 80 million cycles. It is compatible with PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation. I love the honeycomb shell, but I think it will catch a lot of crumbs if you eat at your desk.
So, I tested this mouse using the 1200DPI setting and found to be a great speed for me. I found that moving just a few of the buttons from the keyboard to mouse freed up some space and helped to improve my gameplay. It did take some time to learn the side thumb buttons as I only had 2 before. I felt like the responsiveness was great with all the buttons and the left and right click to be very crisp. Even the mouse wheel seems to be perfectly calibrated, not too much spin at a time and not too little. I have a fairly big hand and this mouse fits it perfectly. If you are looking for a solid wireless MMO/MOBA mouse, then this is your item!

Great product at this price!!

THE BREAKDOWN:
The packaging and contents of these earbuds was amazing. The items included were the wireless earbuds, charging case, ear tips (S, M, L) a micro-USB charging cable, a little lanyard, and the user guide. The lanyard makes it easy to fish out of your pocket or if you are a runner and have a belt you can clip it to lanyard, so your case doesn’t accidentally fall out of your belt. There is also rubber on the outside of the earbuds that also come outside of the case. I found this feature to be extremely useful when is set the case on my leg or on the desk, it keeps it from sliding off.
To get started you need to charge your earbuds fully. Take note that you must remove the little white plastic pieces on the charging part of the earbuds themselves. It took me hours before I realized they were not charging.
The sound quality is the best or perfect, but it is darn good, especially at this price point. The bass could sometimes sound a little off but overall, the sound was amazing for this price point. I felt like I had them turned up to the loudest setting and it didn’t become where I could not understand the words or music.

The only downside to earbuds for me would be the battery life and I think that is reflection on the size and price point. I was averaging about three hours at 75-80% volume.
The fit and comfort of these earbuds were excellent and would put them against my $200 earbuds as far as comfort goes.

Great WiFi lock

THE BREAKDOWN:
I have two other WiFi remote lock in my home. The amount of convenience this adds is amazing! If you have a lot of people that access your house this item will let you control and monitor who enters your home and whether your door is locked or not. You can assign pin codes that range from 4 digits to 8 digits to different people that you want to access your home so you can know who accesses your home. There is also a feature you can enable called scramble that allows you to put extra number before or after your passcode to keep your code even more secure. If you have an iOS then you can setup Auto Lock that uses location services so that when you leave it automatically locks and when you return it unlocks.
Installing the lock was very simple and straight forward. There was even a tutorial video once you scanned the barcode that shows you how to do it. I love this installation because there were no extra keys to keep track of, you used the same locking and key part that you already have! One downfall that I see is that the lock itself takes special CR123A batteries and they are more expensive and harder to find than normal AA batteries. The app does have a battery meter with a % symbol. The keypad uses AA batteries.
The calibration of the lock was simple and easy. It took about 45-60 secs. I am not sure it knows when the door is open or closed because there are not other sensors that came with the lock. There is a safety feature that locks the door after 3 minutes automatically. If your sensor is incorrect it wouldn’t matter if your door was open or closed it would still show locked.
This pairs nicely with my Eufy WiFi cameras as I can have all my items in one app.

Super Comfy

This Serta – For Ewe 7” medium Firm Gel Memory Foam Mattress was certainly a hit for my 15-year daughter. My daughter dances about 5- 6 days a week for 4-5 hours a day and she absolutely fell in love with how comfortable this mattress was. She said that it formed to her body and made it feel like it was made just for her. As far as the cooling aspect she hadn’t noticed any difference from her regular mattress with springs.
The box it arrived in was super sturdy and not as big as you would expect for a full-size mattress. Setup was super simple and easy. You remove the bag/bed from the box and use the little cutting tool that was provided to cut the paper and plastic then remove the bed from the plastic. Then you just let the bed fully form over the next few hours. The instructions stated that it could take up to 48 hours to fully expand.
Overall, my daughter really loves the comfort of this mattress and is very pleased with it.

Great E-bike

THE BREAKDOWN:
The Aventon Pace 350 step-through is one of the least expensive electric bikes on the market today. While the power of this bike isn’t the most powerful at 350W motor it does seem quite powerful and efficient with no issues hitting that 20 mph.

This Aventon Pace 350 comes is single box and was partially assembled. The rear tire was already bolted to the frame which left the front wheel, handlebar and pedals to assemble. Before assembly I went to the Aventon website and watched the video on how to put together this bike. It was very informative unlike the paper instruction that were included with the bike. The assembly was pretty straight forward especially since watching the video. It took about 30 minutes to assemble the bike. I also included pictures of everything that came in the box.

The Pace 350 step through design is quite low at 17 inches allowing a wide range of rider’s easy access to mount the bike. The bike has 300lb weight limit and comes in two different frame sizes to fit riders of different heights. The small frame size is intended for rider’s that are between 4’1” and 5’8” and the medium size frame is for rider’s that are between 5’8” and 6’1”. The seat post has a wide range of adjustment as well as the handlebars. The seat itself was a very good size and very comfortable. The handlebars are a fixed length, but the grips are very ergonomic and comfortable. The bike weighs in at 47lbs and 14oz and is pretty light and easy to maneuver if you have a bike rack. The 7 speed Shimano drive train performed great when testing. The trigger style shifters are easy to use and never failed even when trying to shift multiple times to get it to. The mechanical disc brakes are 180mm rotors for the front and rear and provided plenty of stopping power. I did have a squeaky rear brake at first but once adjusted it worked just fine. Front and rear fenders would have been nice on this bike but if you want them you will have to pay extra.
The range of this bike was around 22 to 23 miles the times that I tested it. I tested this with the throttle only and averaged a speed of 15-16 miles an hour and I am 216lbs. With a battery that is 417.6Wh this is pretty good. I feel like this is definitely a contender at these numbers.
The power from the Pace 350’s 350W brushless motor was not quite as powerful as others that I have rode but with less torque and slower acceleration gives the battery longer life. This motor makes this bike considered a Class 2 bike with a top speed of 20mph. One thing about this bike is you actually have to pedal a few times before the motor will actually start working. For me I thought this was not a very good feature. This model bike has 5 pedal assist levels, at level one the top speed is 10 mph, level three is 14mph and level 5 is 20mph. I thought the shifts in output levels were smooth with little to jerking. The Pace 350 accelerates reasonably fast and does maintain speeds well but doesn’t really have the torque of the larger motors. For cruising the neighborhood or riding on flat paved ground this bike is amazing. The throttle of this bike is on the left which is a weird place to have it. Growing up all my dirt bikes and ATV’s had the throttle on the right and this takes some getting used to.
The LCD user interface was very simple and easy to use. It had a nice display that was large enough to read easily and centrally located at the middle of the handlebars. I found that the display was easy to read even in the bright sunlight. The screen also has an adjustable backlight that is for use at night.
The battery is also easily removed for charging or safety. It also has a locking feature.
Riding the bike was simply a joy. I was pleased at how smooth the ride was even without shock absorbers. With the tires, Shimano gearing, disc brakes, comfortable seat and pedal assist this was an absolute pleasure to ride. My kids love to ride this as well.

is that machine automatic?
Yes, this machine is automatic. Once you load the whole beans or you can a scoop of ground coffee and fill the water reservoir you just select the button for which coffee you would like it to make. It automatically dumps the grounds inside. I have made several cups before I had to empty the grounds collector. Hope that helps.
