Built Solid, Needs work

THE BREAKDOWN:
This camera is very well built and feels solid. I found that for my use the single view it worked well. It was easy to setup and use.
The camera itself feel solid and the base makes it feel heavy which is a good thing. It makes it not that easy to fall over and it is adjustable. It has long USB type A or USB-C cable that works with Windows 10 or macOS and I believe it even works with Chrome OS (I did not test this OS). I can verify that it was as easy as plugging in and using on both Windows 10 and macOS. I did not download any drivers or special software. I just opened Microsoft Teams and Zoom and started testing.
This webcam does have a 360-degree swivel which makes it super easy to manipulate for whatever setting you need. This webcam also has a built-in microphone. I had no complaints on the microphone portion of the camera. Everyone stated that the audio sounded normal.
The video is supposed to be Full HD 180p at 30 fps. This webcam had 5 built in modes. One mode is where there are 4 screens in a 180 degree view (2 on top and 2 on the bottom), 360 degree view with a large picture pointing at a person, another 360 degree with 2 large pictures, 360 degree panoramic view, and lastly the regular view as I call it where it is just one picture and the camera is pointing at you. Using the button to switch between modes was not as easy as it should be, I felt you had to know how many times to hit the button to get to the mode you wanted. For me it immediately went away after the first press and I couldn’t remember where I was, so I kept pushing the button several times until I got lucky and landed on the right mode. For the video I felt it was very lacking. It was pixelated and lagged for me. I felt the view itself was better than my built-in webcam but the quality was not. For the conference modes it does work well but due to the current state of the nation I was unable to test it with other live people in the room as I currently work from home.

Great Instapot, needs work on the air fryer

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product the Ninja Foodi 11-in-1 6.5 qt Pro Pressure Cooker + Air Fryer encompasses a lot of kitchen appliances in one fairy compact appliance. This product had the following modes, pressure cook, steam, slow cook, yogurt, sear/sauté, sous vide, air crisp, bake/roast, broil, dehydrate and keep warm. Overall, this product performed like it was supposed to.
This product came with the following items; 6.5 quart non-stick pot, cook and crisp plate, pressure lid, nesting broil rack and a 45+ recipe book. The packaging was very well done. The cooker itself is black with stainless accents which make it very elegant looking.
This product at its core is really a pressure cooker but they have designed some add-ons like the extra lid and the pot insert to make it like an air fryer. While I found the pressure cooker / instapot like functions worked very well I found some features lacking in the air crisper/ fryer functions. I made several pots of soup with this product and they were all easy and fast. I cannot stress enough how fast this thing can make items like soup. If you have a family on the go like me then time is not something you have a lot of. I can make 6 quarts of taco soup in less than 20 min from start to bowl. I have made rice both white, brown and black with ease. The air crisper / fryer function does work well but nothing like the dedicated air fryer that I currently own. For one it takes about 12 more minutes per basket of fries (about 28 min total for a large basket) and there are no handles to be able to pick up the basket and flip the fries. You have to have a pair of tongs and flip them that way. It may be minor, but it is kind of a big deal to me as we do eat a lot of fries and chicken products in our family. It is easy to just grab the handle do a flip/shake and turn it back on. With this you have to open the lid and hand mix the fries or chicken. It does do a great job at air frying but it does take longer and you have to mix by hand which is annoying to me.

Nice Smart Home Device Addition

THE BREAKDOWN:
I have a lot of smart devices, but this is the first smart switch. I have to say it is a nice addition to my smart home devices.
The packaging was well done and compact. In the box you get the faceplate, the switch itself, 4 wire nuts and an instruction booklet.
Installing the switch was pretty straightforward, just know that if you have a single pole switch box that is older you will need some room for the new to fit. Mine was very snug but it worked. If happen to wire the load and line backwards and there is no power initially just reverse the wires and you will be good to go.
After the physical installation is complete you need to pull up your own WiFi and connect to the Wemo switch. I did not know this until I did some research. Once you connect it you download the Wemo app and follow the guided instructions. It doesn’t take that long. It tests the lights and the dimming ability and then it is good to go. There is also a button at the bottom of the switch itself that will restart, reset or reset Wi-Fi.
The Wemo app is pretty straight forward. You can set a sleep timer, night mode or create rules. Super simple easy to use.
Overall, I am very pleased with this device. It was easy to install, and it has a very modern clean look.

Great Headphones, Great Price

THE BREAKDOWN:
These JLab Studio Pro Wireless headphones work pretty good for the money. At this price point you get good quality and the sound was above average for the price point.
I have a large head and ears and these headphones fit perfectly. They are lightweight and comfortable. After about 2 hours I can feel a couple pressure points around the earcup start to get a little uncomfortable. They are made of lightweight faux leather with some foam padding. They are easy to adjust up and down for head size. The earcups fold in and they take up minimum space. These are the most comfortable headphones that I have owned at this price point.
Charging was easy, it came with a really short USB-C charging cable. The other end is a regular USB that plugs into the power source. It took around 3 hours to fully charge the first time I depleted the battery. I got around 48hours of playtime on my headset which is really good.
Getting these headphones connected via Bluetooth was simple and easy. The controls are also simple to use and easy. There is definitely no overcomplications of multiple buttons. There is a power/pairing button, volume up and down which also doubles as the EQ preset button and a USB_C power port. One thing to note is that the USB-C power port is always exposed. One you press both the up and down volume buttons it gives you access to change to on of the preset EQ settings. The 3 settings are Signature, Balanced and Bass Boost. I personally liked the Signature mode the best. The Bass Boost mode did very well at amplifying the Bass without distorting the sound.
Have to say for the price I am very impressed overall with this product.

Fast and easy

THE BREAKDOWN:
This product was very well packaged. It came with the base, a separate base for use the to-go cups, a pitcher with lid, and 2 to-go cups with lids.
The performance was excellent. I crushed ice, albeit not in 10 seconds but it got the crushed ice to bar quality for sure. It also does this without the motor heating up and melting the ice. I made several fruit and vegetables smoothies, all turned out excellent and well pureed with no chunks found.
So, this this is pretty simple to use and easy to clean. It has 3 speeds plus a pulse that all work well and as intended. The unit itself isn’t the noisiest blender I have for sure.
The 16 oz blender jars are really nice especially in the morning when I’m on the go. I like that it has a rubber seal that assists in the unit not leaking when you turn it upside down to blend. Not sure how long that seal will last but it is a nice feature. For me the lines on the inside of the cups are hard to see when filling. One last thing to not that I personally liked was that you can actually fill the cup past the top and it still blends it up without spilling.

THE BREAKDOWN:
Overall, not a bad headset. The setup was pretty straight forward and quick. The box included the headset, USB-C cable, and USB dongle transmitter.
Some of the features of this headset are they are NOT only used on one platform. You can use them on Xbox, PC or Mac. For me this feature is amazing as I do no like having different headsets for each platform that I play on. They are wireless and work on the 2.4 GHz range. I found that the range on these headphones was around 50ft like they stated. However, when adding floors and walls the range was around more like 40ft, but for me that worked well as I go up one flight to the fridge.
The sound output was good. I found the highs and mids to be fairly clear and the bass was just ok for me. One thing to add on the sound is that you have Dolby Atmos for Xbox the surrounds sound really enhances the experience.
The flip-to-mute microphone worked well, I didn’t receive any “hey who’s mic is echoing” while gaming rants. One, thing to note is that on mine you actually had to move the microphone all the way up to the vertical position to mute it. On others that I have used they had a midpoint mute which I kind of liked better.
The fit was just ok for me, I have a big head and they fit me but felt almost like they bowed out some around the top. They were pretty comfortable for extended play time. Not the best comfort I have experience but by far not the worst. There is also game/voice balance and EQ presets. These all worked well and as intended.

THE BREAKDOWN:
Overall simple at a great price point. It comes with a stainless-steel boiler which is unique for something at this price point. It has all plastic casing with stainless accents. There is a good amount of space between the portafilter and tray (approximately 4.25 inches) with a removable riser/drip tray to allow for larger cups. The portafilter (51mm) is pressurized only and has 2 different basket sizes one is a double shot (14grams) and the other is a single shot (7 grams). There is a storage container in the back to store the baskets. There is also a one-liter water reservoir located there as well. The reservoir is removable, but it does not have a filter. The water level is viewable from the front of the machine. It does come with a scoop and tamper as well. It also has a simple easy to use and movable steam arm.
It has pretty simple features, up front you have one light that is an indicator that the machine is on and one that indicates it is ready to be used. It has a knob that has the following functions, steam, off, on and hot water/coffee. The hot water setting using the steam arm can be used to warm your cup.
The unit is about 11 inches tall so it can easily fit under the countertop and small spaces. Which I found to be really nice. There is a cup warmer located on the top of the machine which is also a nice feature.
Overall, if you are into manually making your espresso this machine is does that very well at a very good price point.

Quiet and work well!

Let’s start by saying that this is a sound purchase. I have 2 other air fryers and this one runs a close race with them. I like the 6-quarthmmok its option as it holds enough food to feed a family of 4 easily.
The unit itself is very well constructed. I love the nonstick surface and the way they have the rack in the bottom of the machine. Just as a comparison, my other air fryer my basket is removable and is scrapes the bottom of the actual pan I had to put a piece of silicon down to keep it from scraping. Cleanup really was very simple and easy. Oh, one last thing is that the basket and components are dishwasher safe. So, that is an easy cleanup.
This machine cooks as good as my other 2 air fryers. It is actually really quiet. I have cooked chicken wings, chicken tenders, fries, a whole chicken and warmed up pizza and wings and fries multiple time. This so much more convenient than using your oven and heating up your whole house. I mean you can have frozen fries ready to eat and crispy in 18-20 min. The controls were very easy to use and if you get confused it does come with a manual. It actually has a soothing tone/beep. It does offer other modes besides air frying, such as, bake, roasting and broiling to name a few.

Absolutely amazing!!

Let’s start by saying that this sound bar is not only sleek and beautiful, but it sounds amazing! Compared to my native tv speakers the difference is like night and day. With the speaker’s small footprint, I was worried it wouldn’t give the full sound that I was looking for. I was completely wrong, this speaker had great bass and great highs with no distortion. The audio was very clear and concise, and the bass was punchy!
The sound quality of this speaker is nothing short of amazing! If you are someone that is looking for great sound with a small footprint at a great price, then this speaker is it! I’m sure if you did pair a subwoofer with this soundbar it would really add to the depth and punch of the bass but really, I don’t think you need it. When watching TV show and movies the music sound clear and concise along with the dialog. There wasn’t a time where I felt the sound was distorted in any way.
The setup was not that difficult. First you download the Bose app and log in. If you don’t already have an account, you sign up for one. Once you complete that you connect the soundbar to the TV with the HDMI or optical cable. Just a side note I found out the hard way, if you want to use the full feature you need to use the HDMI instead of the optical cable. When using the HDMI us the one labeled “ARC”.
Next, you follow the instructions on the Bose app where you connect to Wi-Fi and setup Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa. You also can setup your music apps such as Amazon Music and TuneIn.
The design of the soundbar is very sleek and even though it is black it is almost elegant looking. There are some hidden lights that you can only see when interacting with the speaker. There are 2 places you can touch on the top of the speaker that can activate the assistant and the other will mute/unmute the speaker. There is a power port, optical port, HDMI port and a service port which look as if it is a USB-C port. For people that are looking to keep a minimal footprint this speaker is definitely designed for you.
The remote is tiny and has a great rubbery feeling on the surface. My one complaint is that the bottom of the remote is plastic only and slick. It slides off my leg or chair arm almost every time.

Who doesn’t find the idea of wirelessly “throwing” up pictures, video or documents from your phone, computer or tablet?? With my wife teaching small kids and myself being in the IT industry and teaching adults I found this item to be very interesting. The j5create cable makes this process a breeze! Be warned if you are buying this product to use with apps such as NETFLIX, HULU, AMAZON, etc….. you will be disappointed (read further for a full explanation).
Setting this up took just a few minutes. You plug in the HDMI end into the HDMI port and then you need a USB port for power. Side note they recommend at least 1-amp USB port. Once you turn on the device you select the input and log into the j5create device and connect it to your local Wi-Fi network. Once that is complete, you’re ready to present.
I used both my acer laptop and my iPhone to test this device. On my iPhone the process was super simple you just swipe up from the bottom and choose screen mirroring and the screencast device should be listed. From my laptop it was just as easy you select the Wi-Fi screencast network and you can mirror or extend your display just like if you have multiple monitors.
The performance was as expected. It worked great for photo’s, phone videos and documents. If you want to play videos from apps like NETFLIX, HULU, AMAZON, etc…. then you will be disappointed. It does start and you can see the list of video’s, like on NETFLIX but once you try to play it, you get NO video only sound in my case.

CON’s:
- Cannot play some video apps
SUMMARY:
Overall, the device worked well but you may find cheaper devices out there on the market that can do all this and more, and I would recommend this to a friend if they are in the market for device like this.

No, this does not have 2 way audio. The sound that it has is a siren to deter intruders.

Yes, this system claims to be weatherproof. To work in all conditions like rain and snow all year round.

is that machine automatic?
Yes, this machine is automatic. Once you load the whole beans or you can a scoop of ground coffee and fill the water reservoir you just select the button for which coffee you would like it to make. It automatically dumps the grounds inside. I have made several cups before I had to empty the grounds collector. Hope that helps.

You can brew 2 cups at one time. Meaning that you place 2 coffee cups under the dispenser. Hope that helps!
