This is a great series. This season even has a couple of those episodes that are not allowed to air on TV anymore. There's even a Christmas and a Valentine episode, for those of you who like holiday episodes, like myself! I remember this series from my childhood and I love re-watching it now. And children nowadays will fall in love with this series too.
This triple-disc set provides convenient one-stop shopping for fans of The Young Ones, compiling both of its seasons plus a handful of worthwhile extras into one compact set. The set devotes one disc a piece to each season of the series and allows the viewer the option to play the episodes separately (each is broken down into six chapter stops) or all in a row. Video and audio quality are only average due to the show's rather low-budget nature, but Warner has done a solid job of preserving these elements in the cleanest possible style. The Young Ones: Every Stoopid Episode also offers a bevy of bonuses on its third disc that are likely to please the show's hardcore fans. First up are "Creating The Young Ones" and "The Young Ones and the '80s," a pair of excerpts from BBC documentaries that use interviews with the cast and crew to explain the show's genesis and significance in British culture. Both are insightful and revealing, leaving the viewer wishing the producers had included the full documentaries they came from. This disc also throws in the pilot episodes for Filthy Rich & Catflap and Bottom, a pair of later BBC series that were penned by Ben Elton and feature alumni from The Young Ones. Neither show is as consistently inspired as The Young Ones, but both are fairly entertaining and offer the show's fans the opportunity to see the gifted cast tackling different roles. Rounding out the bonus disc is a brief but informative set of talent bios that provides the viewer with additional credits and biographical info for the supporting cast and musical acts that appeared on The Young Ones. All in all, The Young Ones: Every Stoopid Episode is a convenient and reasonable well-packaged way to get acquainted with this delightfully anarchic comedy series.

Great Purchase!

Anyone who is a fan of the Young Ones will love this DVD set. It has an entire disc devoted to extras. I love that they included pilots from other shows they worked on, such as Bottom. You get every episode of the Young Ones and enough extras to keep you occupied.
It was a long time coming, but Rock 'n' Roll Nightmare finally hit DVD thanks to Synapse Films! Jon Mikl Thor's opus can now be appreciated for all of the brilliantly cheesy schlock that it is for the masses that haven't already been indoctrinated into its hardcore fan base. Incredibly, this special edition is packed with new exclusive extras that shed more light on the production, while presenting the film in such a pristine way that was once never believed possible. Accompanying the incredible high-definition widescreen transfer is a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack that pumps out the jams in surround mode or for those completists out there, the original 2.0 mono track is included as well. Features-wise, the fun starts with a candid audio commentary from Thor and director John Fasano, both of whom have a good time as they recount stories of the rushed production (which was apparently filmed in ten days). On top of that, there's an interview special with Thor as he reminisces on his career and the way that the film has continued to affect it, as well as rare behind-the-scenes footage of the filming and make-up portions of the picture. Two music videos are also on tap, plus in-depth liner notes and a brand-new intro and afterward to the film provided by Thor make this a must-have purchase for the film's devoted audience that have long worn out their VHS copies of the film.

Great DVD Release!

If you're a horror fan, than this is probably not the movie for you. But if you like movies with all the elements of a cult classic, than you have to see this. There's demons running all over and a little wolf child and some people may call the special effects cheesy. But it does make for one entertaining movie. And the extras are phenomenal. The case is pretty flashy too. I think the cover alone pretty much describes the whole movie.
What's great about it: The best extras!
What's not so great: Extras are better than the movie itself.
The Kids in the Hall breaks into feature films with Brain Candy, which comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. Closed-captioned English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. English subtitles are accessible. There are no supplemental materials of any consequence. This is a great disc for fans of the troupe, but Paramount could have done more with this cult title.

When I first saw this movie, I had never seen an episode of Kids in the Hall. But I still enjoyed this movie immensely. Don't think you have to be familiar with the cast to love this. Although if you are a KITH fan, you're going to want to watch this. Either way, this movie will keep you laughing. Dr. Chris Cooper was so funny!
What's great about it: It's the funniest thing ever
