Socom III

When looking for strategy, skill and shooting all bundled into one dew-soaked package, look no further, Socom is here. A great game that integrates stealth and tactics into killing and mass chaos.

There are quite a few missions on this game and while it could have been made a little bit longer, I think it's length is sufficient. Objectives range from assassination to bomb defusing and keep you on your toes and at the peak of your skill at all times.
+
Interactive scenery plays a large roll in this game; being able to hide in brush to sneak up on enemies is a really neat feature. It is nice to have to actually think about the weapons and equipment that is taken on a mission as well. What's in a players inventory can greatly impact the outcome of a mission.
+
Hours of fun, strategic action. I recommend this game to any strategic mind that doesn't mind honing in on their destructive side!
What's great about it: Smart A.I., In-depth missions, variety of weaponry, cool scenary and interactivity
What's not so great: Gets frustrating after an hour of trying to figure out how to complete a secondary objective..
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Kingdom... of Disney!

Having been a long time RPG player, I figured that I would give this game a quick test run. The quick test run turned into an all night obsession!
This game has a million elements that make it fun for anyone who enjoys a good RPG (role playing game). There are a large number of playable characters; from your main hero, Sora, to disney characters like the Beast and Goofy, to Final Fantasy favorites like Cloud, the game has enough substance to keep you interested.
Another thing that I like about it is the way that you dispatch your enemies. This is a family friendly game in the way that it only contains cartoon violence; it doesn't have blood and gore all over the place!
Pretty original theme overall, interesting way to tie all kinds of different heros from various worlds into one game. All flows pretty well, even with the cheesy story line that you have to follow!
I would recommend this game to any RPG player that plays just for fun. It doesn't have the most in depth story line, but it is still a fun way to play away the day. Otherwise I might recommend it to those in their mid-teen years. Just give it a little time to get going before you make a final decision on it.
What's great about it: Large variety of playable charaters, Exciting fighting system, Fun for all ages!
I would recommend this to a friend!

After a long time of being reluctant to purchase this game, I finally broke down and bought it for a party that I was throwing. I can honestly say it was a great idea!
This game can offer hours of non-stop fun to anyone who sits down in front of it; even to those who aren't skilled in the musical arts. There are a ton of good ol' classic songs to choose from and four different difficulty settings for each song.
The only things that I disliked about this version was the inability to create your own band members, and not being able to download new music to your harddrive. I guess that comes with not keeping up with the new game systems! It seems they are working on the issue of being unable to download songs by releasing the new track packs though, so no biggy!
One thing that I will note; Always buy the hardware for the game, (i.e., guitar, drums, "bass") seperately and add on the warranty packages to them! You'll be sorry if you don't!
What's great about it: Hours of Fun, Challenging level sequences, plethora of song choices!
What's not so great: Equipment (guitar and drum set) is easily broken from normal wear and tear, Unable to create your own character

Good, but not Great

Though I agree that the movie was well driven and the plot was strategically instructed, in the end this movie left me wanting more out of the 130 minutes I had just spent watching it.
I did enjoy the movie, but it was somehow lacking, I can't even place my finger on it, but the ending just left a hole that was never filled throughout the movie. Worth watching for the plot alone though.
What's great about it: Well thought out storyline
What's not so great: Left me wanting more

I don't know about this one...

I don't know what to say about this movie. I didn't really think that it would be worth seeing. The movie kind of throws together elements from many different, but pointless aspects of life and comes to the standard story book ending. Not really any twists or turns on this happy little love ride, it's a straight shooter to the end. I also had the feeling that the wife that dies, was kind of just a selfish jealous brat that was more concerned with the perfect wedding than the ones involved and would have jumped at anything that offered her a ring. Kind of ruined the movie for me. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone who asked.
What's not so great: Kind of hapless

P.S. I need a better intro.

This wasn't the best love story I've seen by any means, but it was pretty good. It would have had more of an impact if the beginning would have had more substance, maybe if you had more of a feel for their love. They were obviously meant to be together, but the way the intro suddenly jumps face first into the main plot of the movie is kind of okward. If you are a love story savant, I would suggest this movie, otherwise, not so sure I would.
What's great about it: A decent movie, Hilary Swank
What's not so great: Movie jumps in face first

Have to agree with mostly every review on here. I haven't seem National Treasurer 1 yet, so it probably made this movie a little better, and I'm not a fan of Nicolas Cage, but it was a pretty entertaining flick.
Nicolas Cage plays a treasure hunter that is seeking to clear the name of his family by obtaining a piece of Jon Wilks Booth's diary. Good movie to see.
What's great about it: Entertaining Story Line
What's not so great: Nicolas Cage

A good movie, really interesting plot that focuses centrally around a troubled kid, Hayden Christensen, that finds he can "Jump" or teleport to anyplace that he can imagine. Samuel L Jackson plays a hunter of these "Jumpers" he believes that only God should be able to be anywhere at anytime.
Very interesting movie, hope to see a sequel out soon!
What's great about it: Interesting Plot, Neat Elements
What's not so great: If there is no sequel I'll be kind of ticked!

RE Not Extinct Yet!

This is the third, and most likely not the final, release of the Resident Evil Series. While this movie offers a lot of action, it lacks in some what the previous movies had, all the suspense. By this movie, the intensity and helplessness from the Zombie race has all but faded. The main characters don't have the same rushed feel as before. Over all, I would recommend this movie, if you were a fan of the previous two that is.
What's great about it: Yet another interesting final "Boss" Character, Continues to deliver some twists and turns
What's not so great: Not Executed as Well as Possible...

Pop singer Mandy Moore stars in her first feature film, an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' young love tearjerker, A Walk to Remember. The film is presented in its original anamorphic widescreen 2.35:1 aspect ratio with Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Both English and French soundtrack options are available, along with English, French, and Spanish subtitles. Special features include two feature-length commentaries. The first is an amusing commentary by Shane West, Mandy Moore, and director Adam Shankman. The trio discusses cut material and gives entertaining insight into filming the movie in Dawson's Creek territory. The second commentary is a more serious narration by novelist Sparks and screenwriter Karen Janszen who talk about the differences between the book and the movie and the film's overall themes. Moore's "Cry" music video is included with the film's theatrical trailer and cast and crew filmographies. After listening to the first commentary, it becomes obvious that outtakes and deleted scenes should have been added to the disc, as they would've been a great addition to this too-sparse package.

A classic bad boy turned good type of movie with a kind of twist at the end. I enjoyed this movie, but if you are going to watch it, go with the girlfriend, she'll probably like it more.
What's great about it: Great Casting, Mandy Moore does excellent in this role...
What's not so great: Terrible Twist at the end...

how to hook up my pc to play files on my media player through the reciever?

go to any store that sells component to 1/8 inch or 1/32 inch (whatever your computer sound hookup uses). In other words a red/white to 1/8 inch hookup.
-
Take the red/white part and hook it into any slot of your receiver (doesn't matter if it is labeled as DVD/VCR/CD/V-AUX, they'll all work), then hook the other end into your PC. When the corosponding channel is selected on your receiver, and the music is selected on your PC, the audio should be routed through your surround sound system.
