A Work of ART!

This is, in my opinion, the feel good cd of the year! This album has so much emotion to it, I just can't stop listening! None of the songs really resemble anything that Tom Delong has previously recorded, but in this case, that is really a good thing! The only thing that fits this band more perfectly than the digital effects, punchy drums and happy guitar/bass riffs would have to be Tom Delong's ever present, ever distinctive talent to express his thoughts and feeling in melodic songs!!! Bravo Tom, Bravo...
What's great about it: Powerful CD filled with emotionally amazing songs!

A poorly done remake of Blink-182
on October 23, 2007

This is the debut album for Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker's latest creation. This band is not nearly as good as their previous BLINK-182, but it has a couple of sure-fire hits. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this album, but it's not all bad. Check it out if you want some straight forward punk action with a hint of slow paced dance-techno.
What's great about it: Lycanthrope, Baby Come On, When Your Heart Stops Beating, Little Death, Make You Smile, Chapter 13?
What's not so great: 155, Lillian, Cliffdiving, Interlude, Weatherman, No, It Isn't, Chapter 13?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A Good Action/Suspense Movie!
on October 23, 2007

This was a pretty good movie, starts off a little slow, but you soon realize that it is just setting up the roller-coaster that is the rest of the feature! A good flick with an ending that you won't really see coming. I would recommend it.
What's great about it: Great Cast, Decent, Believable Plot
What's not so great: Maria Bello... =( You'll see...

Walter Becker directs the campus comedy National Lampoon's Van Wilder, which comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. The humorous supplemental materials include deleted scenes, outtakes, a featurette that originally appeared on Comedy Central, trailers, television promotional materials, a look at the music in the movie, and production notes. The other notable feature of this disc is that it contains an unrated version of the film that contains footage that was trimmed in order to achieve an "R" rating from the ratings board. This is a strong disc from Artisan.

The Best of the National Lampoon Movies!
on October 23, 2007
Posted by: Volearix
from Zionsville, IN
This is the only National Lampoon movie that I have actually found to hold a real plot and maintain a certain level of its' own dignity. Ryan Reynolds plays Van Wilder, the hero of the college who refuses to let himself graduate, who is forced to find a way to pay for his own way through school when his wealthy father "cuts him off". He eventually meets up with a newspaper columnist named Gwen (Tara Reid) and falls head over heals for her and her goal for him to succeed... In my opinion this is a great movie and the only good National Lampoon movie to this date.
What's great about it: Great Movie
What's not so great: Part of the National Lampoon's Collection

In this season we discover the real way tha Jared from Subway lost his weight, we get a terrible 80's montage in Aspen and we are introduced to Butters' alter ego, Professor Chaos! This is a great season with a couple of my personal favorite episodes! Definitely worth getting!

Oh, No...

This has to be the most disturbing season of South Park to this date. It offers us some heavier insight to Cartman's true evil in "Scott Tenorman Must Die" and continues to disgust us with "The Entity". We are introduced to a new character, Towelie, and some of our old favorites. This season is a must see for fans of South Park.

Paramount Home Entertainment has released its fourth box set of episodes from Comedy Central's gleefully tasteless animated series South Park, and while this set will doubtless please fans, it doesn't offer much in the way of bonus goodies. South Park: The Complete Fourth Season features 17 episodes from the show's fourth cycle, all formatted in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1; the transfers are sharp and clean, and it's nice to see the material without the all-too-familiar Comedy Central "watermark" in the lower right corner. The audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo, and the sound offers more punch than in its broadcast version. The episodes are in English, but feature no subtitles or alternate language options. The only notable bonus material on this collection are commentary tracks for each episode from series creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, but for this set Parker and Stone have opted to offer what they call "fun-size commentaries," which last no more than five minutes at the opening of each episode. While they do offer some interesting and often funny anecdotes along the way (particularly in dealing with the network's concerns about handicapped character Timmy, who made his debut in season four, and their unusual down-to-the-wire working methods), generally they stop talking just as they've started to hit their stride, making the commentaries more than a bit frustrating. The only other bonus items are three short bits culled from Comedy Central shows, though this set does include the rare episode "Pip," an oddball adaptation of Charles Dickens' Great Expectations that rarely pops up in reruns and will be unfamiliar to many fans. South Park: The Complete Fourth Season certainly offers up this material in well-polished form, but unfortunately doesn't offer much else for fans looking for something more.

The foul-mouthed third graders of South Park, CO, are treated with respect in this DVD box set. The 17 episodes on South Park: The Complete Third Season have been transferred to disc in their original full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. The episodes are in English, with optional subtitles in English, French, and Spanish. As a bonus, each episode features a five to seven minute "mini-commentary" from series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.

In this season we get to see just what we expect from Trey and Matt... Complete idiocy with a touch of clever anticdotes! We get to meet the most annoying race of creatures in the world, two bullies try to fight it out for no reason, the loveable addition to the South Park gang, Mr Hankey and South Parks very own Pokemon rendition! A great season worth seeing!

how to hook up my pc to play files on my media player through the reciever?

go to any store that sells component to 1/8 inch or 1/32 inch (whatever your computer sound hookup uses). In other words a red/white to 1/8 inch hookup.
-
Take the red/white part and hook it into any slot of your receiver (doesn't matter if it is labeled as DVD/VCR/CD/V-AUX, they'll all work), then hook the other end into your PC. When the corosponding channel is selected on your receiver, and the music is selected on your PC, the audio should be routed through your surround sound system.
