Jump Back

This movie is about a boy named David Rice(Hayden Christensen) who can mysteriously disappear and reappear anywhere and anytime. He doesn't really know how or why he's has the power to teleport from one place to another, but one man is going to stop him at any cost his name is Agent Roland Cox(Samuel L. Jackson) who hates jumpers. He tracks them down and kills them before they have time to escape. The movie to me was kind of slow, and it was just unnecessary about where they jump to and why, they use their gifts for their own selfish benefits robbing banks getting out of trouble. The acting was a bit of a bore with nothing really good coming out of anyone in the movie.

This movie picks up where the first movie left off.It seems like Chev Chelios(Jason Statham) gets his heart replaced by a artificial pump, that's hooked up to a battery pack to keep him alive. But this movie seems like a repeat of the first movie. It has almost the same intent, with the public xxx act with his girlfriend Eve(Amy Smart) at a horse race, begin hooked up to a car's battery, shootouts, and wacky camera angles and images. The acting is ok if you liked the first movie,it should keep your attention for the rest of the movie.I know this kind of movie is not to be taken serious, but if you seen the first there's no need to see this one.

This movie takes place in the 1920's of Los Angels. It's about a mother named Christine Collins(Angelina Jolie) on a quest to look for her missing son Walter. But when the police claim to have found Walter,Mrs.Collins tells the police that's not her son.Angelina Jolie's role is very strong in finding her missing son.Telling the police certain things about her son they didn't know about, she even gets signed papers from Walter's teacher, and dentist to show the newspapers about how that's not her real son.But the police have stopped looking for her son and put Mrs.Collins in a mental institution with other battered but sane women.John Malkovich plays as reverend Gustav Briegleb who as his own battles with the police dealing with corruption and the extrajudicial punishment of criminals.I won't spoil the movie for you but this is one you have to see,if you like drama, and suspense.

The Goods,The Bad,And The Ugly

Jeremy Piven plays as a car salesman named Don"The Goods"Ready.Who is the best salesman ever. His goal is to sell every car on the lot on the 4th of july weekend. While some of the parts are funny others are just to over the top and seem unneeded for this film.Craig Robinson plays the DJ who doesn't like to be told what music to play, but it was unnecessary to have him on a car lot to make sales. The story is a bit out of left field when Will Ferrell shows up as Don's dead friend McDermott who died in a parachute accident. But all in all it was ok,I say rent before you buy,It's not good,it's not bad,but at times can seem a little ugly.

District 9

District 9 is based on aliens also known as Prawns who live in the slums of Johannesburg.A man discovers the secret of the alien weaponry after picking up a fluid spray can,and spraying himself in the face with it.The main character does a good job at staying in character. In the beginning he is part of a group called MNU,they deal with the aliens in District 9.The aliens also are a big part of the film, even thou their computer generated. From the movements to the way they talk was very well played out.And the weapons like the guns, and battle suit it's like something out of a video game.I had a problem with the end.I won't spoil it for you,but if you saw it you get where I'm going with it.But this is a really good movie no one should miss.

No Fighting

This movie is about a scam artist named Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard) and a small-town boy named Shawn MacArthur (Channing Tatum). He finds him and wants to put him into an underground fighting circuit. The movie is kind of slow going not a lot of fighting involved in the movie. It seems like the movie is more dramatic than action. The acting seems very plan from every character in the film. When you get to the fighting scenes their not that good. They only last about 2-5 mins.So save your money.

I went in to see if this movie was as scary as people were claiming, they were so wrong, because this movie's not at all scary. It's about a couple who get a knock on their door after 4 a.m. and their remote getaway becomes a night of terror. The plot of the movie really doesn't make the movie any more entertaining.Liv Tyler's character seems a little shy in the beginning, but in the wake of playing scared her shyness goes out the window. But that still doesn't make it a good movie.Scott Speedman's character seems too much out of it.Like he didn't want to be in this movie.I did not see any dvd extras on the dvd to speak about, because I didn't want to waste any more time with this movie.

Make A Run For The Border

Borderlands is a first person shooter/RPG elements game. With it's comic book stylistic graphics,It's a straight up action game full of skill, character classes, and tons of loot which means guns. The story has you on the planet of Pandora to search for a valuable vault of alien technology.Get 3 friends pick one of the four character classes and team up for some co-op play and get down to business. The game allows them to drop-in and out at anytime.Borderlands is filled with lots and lots of guns that have various types, abilities, and power levels.About half way through the game it kind of runs a little out of steam, the game has 50 character levels. Most of the guns during the middle of gameplay are sightly better than the ones in the beginning. The shooting action is very satisfying you're unlikely to notice this.Borderlands is a full on blizzard of quest, explosions, and shootouts and it's full of surprises. The game also rewards skill of play.Even if you're under leveled or outgunned successful placed head shots will result in critical hits that can make or even break a pitched battle. All four character classes feel very different. Each one has a specific ability that defines them.Your choice of skill sets and class mods can make even two of the same characters play very different.Multiple playthroughs and alternate characters will be certainly common among players. With a bit more variety and item types and more user activated abilities to earn this would have been one that would have crossed into greatness. But if you liked this review you'll still have fun with it.
What's great about it: Lots Of Guns,Co-op,Combat And Skill Rewards,Replay Value
What's not so great: Story,Items,RPG Elements,Needs More Variety

Hey Mr.DJ

The game is very similar to guitar hero except without the guitar you have a turntable instead. You play through a mash-up of songs from pop to rap.The songs are what make this game a really good experience. Each of the games tracks are originals, some are hit and miss, but they still make you move and groove. This game has a large learning curve to it when it comes to controls. The turntable is complicated, and it also has a cross fader feature you'll have to use during each of the songs, you'll realize what I'm talking about "YOU'VE BEEN WARNED".Theirs also a crossover mode where you and a friend can play. You command the turntable and he/she plays the guitar. But you'll have to look for that particular mode in the tracklist menus. The characters on stage in the game just don't feel right, some just look out of place. The animation of the crowd in the game is fine.It makes you feel like your a real DJ in a real club.So if your looking for the next hero you may want to rent it first before you buy.
What's great about it: Mash-Up Tracks,Animation Crowd
What's not so great: Large Learning Curve,Characters On Stage

By this time you should already know the plot without ever seeing the movie.Liam Nesson seems to keep his cool even when his daughter is being kidnapped.I don't know of any father, mother who would be that calm in a situation like that, but he was in the C.I.A. so I guess that's one of the lessons they teach, stay cool under pressure.Maggie Grace plays his daughter and she pretty believable even when kidnapped. His ex-wife played by Famke Janssen is believable as the common pain in the butt he deals with even when talking to his daughter about going to Paris with her friend Amanda. The plot is believable going overseas and being kidnapped and held against your will. But after the movie is over you don't feel like it was that important, watch the ending and tell me if you feel the same way. With that begin said it was a pretty balanced movie with the action and drama, but the ending needed some work.I say rent before you buy,but rent you must.

What's not so great: The Ending
