Life Of The Party

Even if your an old or new Wiz Khalifa fan you will enjoy listing to this album. From his Super Bowl Anthem "Black and Yellow",to his mediforical song "Roll Up".The only thing I think he needs to work on is his wordplay, example in the song "Top Floor" he says "You aint gotta tell your friends what we talk about or the places we go/you mine for the night your man tryin repo".But he also brings rap vet Too $hort on the song "On My Level" which melody fits to what $hort is use to.This album is good to listen to when hangin out with friends or at a party, which people will be asking who's that on the radio?
What's great about it: Parties,Hangin Out With Friends
What's not so great: Wordplay

This movie picks up where the last movie left off.Megatron returns to bring his master The Fallen to Earth and destroy the planet.Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) must figure out the history of the Transformers' presence on Earth and find a way to save the world.Once again the cast do a good job at their respected roles. With new cast memebers and characters bringing humor whenever their on screen.
What's great about it: Funny,Action,Entertaining,Replay Value

Kurt Russell stars as a socipath named Stuntman Mike whose has a taste for stalking young women, but his actions get him into trouble when he tangles with the wrong women. The confrontation escalates into a 18 minute duel with one of the girls strapped to the hood of a Dodge Challenger, followed by a fast and furious car chase. The movie has a lot of dialogue that doesn't seem to go anywhere to keep the story moving. The cast does a good job at their roles.Quentin Tarantino does a good job at shooting all the right angles to make it look like an old,but new style film. There's not much in the way of gunfight action, but it does keep you entertainted throughout the film. The DVD also comes with another disc that has special features.
What's great about it: Stunts,Car Chase,Entertaining,2 Disc Set
What's not so great: Lenghtly Dialogue,Not An Action Movie

Spiderman 3

In this Spiderman movie Peter Parker(Tobey Maguire) comes in contact with an alien symbiote,it bonds with it's host,it also changes the persons personaility.Later on in the movie Eddie Brock(Topher Grace) comes in contact with the symbiote and becomes Venom.Meanwhile an escaped convict Flint Marko(Thomas Haden Church) falls into a pit particle accelerator and becomes the Sandman. And Peter's old friend Harry Osborn(James Franco) becomes the Green Goblin. The acting is good from all cast members playing their respective roles. Some scenes are pretty chessey like the kitchen, and Peter's walking down the street scene, but they put these scenes in the movie just for laughs. The ending I think could have been better.Sam Rami behind the camera does a good job of catching every action scene, and special effects are also good. The music is a balance of the first and second films. This may not have been in my mind better than Spiderman 2,but it still worth watching.
What's great about it: Action Scenes,Special Effects,Music
What's not so great: Some Scenes,The Ending

Romance Or Bromance
on June 18, 2010

This movie is about a real estate agent Peter Klaven(Paul Rudd) and his soon to be wife Zooey Rice(Rashida Jones).Peter doesn't seem to have any male friends to be his best man at his wedding until he comes across Sydney Fife(Jason Segel).Peter and Sydney hit it off and start hanging out alot, somehow Zooey seems a little uneasy with the situation. The movie does have some laughs, with not only physical comedy, but verbal as well. The cast works together well setting up every joke and gag.The story could have used a little more work. Some of the scenes with Paul and Rashida are funny, but Paul seems to try to hard to get laughs, when he's acting like a geek.So if you have a romance or a bromance watch it together.
What's great about it: Funny,Entertaining
What's not so great: Some Of Paul's scenes,Story

How To Survive Zombieland
on June 15, 2010

The main character Columbus(Jesse Eisenberg) has these rules to survive a zombie attack.Every main character in the movie is named after a city, there's Tallahasee(Woody Harrelson),Wichita(Emma Stone),and Little Rock(Abigail Breslin).Half way thur the movie they met Bill Murrary, and start playing Ghostbusters.Anyway Jesse's acting could use some pep,at times his acting reminds me of Michael Cera's characters, and that kind of bothered me a little. The other cast members were up to par.It seemed like the director was trying to put together a love/zombie movie. But all-in-all it's a pretty funny movie with some gore that any zombie movie fan would love. This movie has no replay value for me,It's kind of hard to recommend but I would say rent before you buy.
What's great about it: Killing Zombies,Funny
What's not so great: Main Character,No Replay Value

Something Strange Is In The Neighborhood

This movie is about a couple Katie(Katie Featherson) and Micah(Micah Sloat) who document paranormal activity in there San Diego home. This movie follows the guidelines of less is more, where you don't see the ghost or demon, but you see strange shadows on the door, powdered footprints, things moving around, hear footsteps coming up the stairs, loud noises, see lights turn on and off in the background, there's even some scenes where Katie is standing over the bed for several hours watching her boyfriend sleep. It's not a movie to really scare you but kind of freak out some people.I don't think I'll see this movie again,so I would recommend renting first,it didn't seem to scare at all.
What's not so great: Not Really Scary

Don't Take The Subway
on June 2, 2010

This movie is not really big on setpieces, but it does a good job of reeling you in with it's story, and characters.Walter Garber(Denzel Washington) is a New York City subaway dispatcher, who is drifting through his daily routine when he receives word that a heavily armed gang of four men has hijacked a subway train full of passengers. The leader of the gang is a man by the name of Ryder(John Travolta),who will begin executing hostages if he doesn't recieve ten million dollars in the space of just one hour. The thrills are almost from movies you've probably seen before "Speed(1994)".The acting from Denzel and John draws you in.It seems like the director Tony Scott wanted this movie to be shot in almost real-time,your almost tempted to start counting down to see if someone gets killed. The ending of the movie is not as big as you think, but it's entertaining none the less.
What's great about it: Actors,Drama,Thrills
What's not so great: Setpieces,Ending

Indy's Back

This movie personally takes a back seat to the first film. This time around the plot of the movie is really not at that clear, but we are introduced to some new setpieces, and characters,an easily frightened nightclub chanteuse singer Willie(Kate Capshaw) and a 12 year old kid named Short Round(Quan Ke Huy).Director Steven Spielberg is once again behind the camera, and this time it seems that the thrills out weight the story. From jumping out of an airplane with an inflatiable raft, beging crushed to death with a spiked ceiling,or the abandon mineshaft rollercoaster ride,it all seems to work. But some of the audience members maybe a bit grossed out when it comes to a particular diner scene, monkey brains anyone? But the film is enjoyable

What's not so great: Not Better Than The First Film

Raiders Of The Lost Ark

This is the movie that launched a franchise.Indiana Jones(Harrison Ford) is an archeologist. We first see him in the Peruvian jungle in 1936,running thur a booby-trapped (complete with an oversized rolling boulder) temple to retrive a solid-gold idol.He loses the artifact to his chief rival,a French archeologist named Belloq(Paul Freeman). This movie has some great setpieces with music, and characters. In the movies third and final act where they open the Ark Of The Covenant.Steven Spielberg has an eye for detail, along with the screen writers making the film work up till the credits start to roll.If you were born in the 80's or just have an eye for old movies than this is a classic.
