Game Over

When I saw the trailer to this movie it looked a lot better than the movie itself.Gerard Butler(300) does an ok job playing a convict named Kable who escapes the real life and death game to find his wife and daughter, and kill the villain. The action in this movie is pretty good, with the environments looking like one giant battlefield, but the acting from other actors was just too plain.Michael C.Hall(TV's "Dexter") is the creator of the game,he plays as the villain Ken Castle. He was not at all enjoyable even for a villain,he just looks like one of those guys who they just said to,you wanna play a bad guy in this movie? This movie reminds me of "Crank" with the weird camera angles,oh that's right the directors of that movie made this movie.I would say rent before you buy.

Leave This Movie In The Dark

This just seems like a straight to DVD movie,it has no real acting, real bad dialogue, and no real horror. It's about a girl who goes to a frat party with her best friend Rachel, where she's left for dead, now she is in a purgatory with her imaginary friend since she was 8 yrs old named Donovan. The music in the movie seems way too cheesy for a horror film.I wouldn't even rent this,it's a waste of time.

It's about three young men who came back from the Iraq War and whose lives are changed.Sergeant Brandon King(Ryan Phillippe) is plagued with guilt about casualties among both his men and civilians that occurred during a mission. His long time best friend and war buddy Steve Shriver(Channing Tatum) and fellow squadmate Tommy Burgess(Joseph Gordon-Levitt) are decorated soliders and are ready to return home to Texas.Until Brandon has been stop-loss,it means he must to go back to Iraq.Brandon takes it upon himself to do anything he can to avoid going back to Iraq.He takes Steve's girlfriend Michelle(Abbie Cornish)to visit a senator, who ultimately refuses to see Brandon. This movie is about men who go to war and serve their country and have been stop-loss.And sends a message about how war changes a person, your not the same person afterwards.

Root Canal Anyone?

This is a story about a witch who kills children for their teeth.Dialog exchanged between characters are pretty lame, you can tell their reading form a script, especially when the two girls are talking about how to destroy the witch. Not really a horror movie at that.So much time is wasted talking about the witch instead of seeing the witch. The movie is just way too slow.

It's about four friends who go to Las Vegas for a bachelor party.Alan(Zach Galifianakis) puts roofies into their drinks explaining their memory loss,so they have no clue what happen the night before. When they wake up they find Mike Tyson's tiger in their bathroom, chicken in the room,a baby in the closet,Doug(Justin Bartha) is missing,Stu(Ed Helms) tooth is missing, and is married to a escort, and more crazyness. The movie is pretty funny with laughs coming out of left field, like the naked asian man(Ken Jeong) in the trunk of their vintage Mercedes. Some of the acting is a little over the top form some actors.Their trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together to find Doug so they can get him to his wedding in three hours.

12 Rounds Too Many

I had to see if this one was better than his last film "The Marine",it wasn't.John Cena plays a cop named Danny Fisher who stops a theif from getting away with a multimillion dollar heist, the theif's girlfriend is accidentally killed, and he holds Fisher responsible. After he escapse from prison he taunts Danny by playing 12 rounds of challenges to get back Danny's kidnapped girlfriend. There's some eplosions, but no real action.A lot of dialog, but no real action. The movie just moves too slow to be an action flick.

Up in the air is about a man named Ryan Bingham(George Clooney) who flies around the country downsizing corporations. On one of his trips he meets another frequent flyer named Alex(Vera Farmiga) and they begin a casual relationship.Meanwhile theirs an ambitious young co-worker named Natalie(Anna Kendrick)who's goal is to cut cost on traveling to tell people their fired, over the Internet. The boss is played by Jason Bateman thinks that the company could save thousands this way,but Ryan doesn't like the idea. This movie is like a real life look into companies and how it handles it's employees in the downsizing market, bosses who are too afraid of what an employee might do if he/she tells that employee their fired. All roles are played out very well, with all the drama set pieces played out from begin fired to handling relationships. So if you like drama then see this movie.

This movie is about the head of mall security named Ronnie Barnhardt(Seth Rogen) and his fellow security colleagues trying to stop a mall parking lot flasher to fulfill his dream of one day beging a police officer.Ronnie is also in love with a woman that works in cosmetics named Brandi(Anna Faris).Lead detective Harrison(Ray Liotta)is also working the case something Ronnie doesn't approve of.Although the movie is funny the story doesn't make sense. This is a black comedy and if you like movies that are cynical and edgy and has a wicked sense of humor, this is for you.If not look elsewhere.

Yes Or No

It's about a man name Carl Allen(Jim Carrey) who can never say yes, until he goes to a seminar. Now he must say yes to everything or not be fulfilled in his life. Some of the things he's says yes to may go a little too far.Jim Carrey goes back to his hey days of doing such films as dumb and dumber, and liar, liar but just not as funny. It's not really the best work he's done, but it beats some of the more dramatic, and thriller movies he's done as of late. It's very entertaining with stars such as Bradley Cooper and Danny Masterson who plays as Carl's friends, and Terence Stamp as the inspirational guru.If you like funny Jim Carrey I say rent it,but I don't think this is a full price movie.

The Last House On The Left

This version is a remake of the 1972 movie of the same title, which was written and directed by Wes Craven. This is a old fashion revenge movie,it's about two girls Mari(Sara Paxton) and her friend Paige(Martha Maclsaac) who get kiddnapped and ruthlessly assulted by a killer named Krug(Garret Dillahunt). Then the sadistic killer and his gang find shelter from a strom at the home of Mari's parents John(Tony Goldwyn) and Emma Collingwood(Monica Potter). The parents later on find out about what happened to their daughter and get ready to take action into their own hands. The acting is pretty straight forward from beginging to end none of it seemed fake.It really felt like the girls were in real danger in the hotel room scene. The ending needed some work and the movie's too short before you know it,it's over.I'm a person who really doesn't like revenge flicks, but it was pretty good.I would say rent before you buy,but not at full price.
