Jonathan Lynn's slapstick hit-man comedy The Whole Nine Yards comes to DVD with two different transfers. The anamorphic widescreen 1.85:1 image is preferable to the standard full-frame 1.33:1 image. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. Subtitles are available in both of those languages as well. Supplemental materials include a feature-length commentary by the director, a collection of interviews with various cast members, filmographies of the cast, and the theatrical trailer. One could argue that Matthew Perry's performance is more appealing on the small screen than it was in theaters.

One of the most explosive action movie, and probably one of the best pure action movies out there. I loved everything about this movie from the cold calculating villian to the trash talking hero, its got it all

This probably the funniest one of the series, and with the addition of Samuel L. Jackson, Vengeance is full of explosive action and a great plot that would make this the best Die Hard.

Whats up with these old action hero actor trying to mke a comeback. Bruce Willis is back as John McClane, but not the John McClane you remember. You remember the trash-talking, get out of his way, rated R John McClane that use to thrill the big screen with action and comedy. Well forget him because the new John McClane is alot lamer. Thank you for killing the series.
What's not so great: Too much CGI and its rated PG-13
Warner Bros.' high school drama 187 comes in a crisp 1.85:1 widescreen DVD presentation with Dolby Surround Sound. Along with the usual extras of a theatrical trailer and language options, the audio commentary provides a round-table discussion by director Kevin Reynolds, screenwriter Scott Yagemann, and actors Samuel L. Jackson and Clifton Gonzalez. While Reynolds offers technical and thematic insight into this story of violence towards teachers in a Los Angeles high school, the most informative comments come from the writer, who based the screenplay on his own teaching experiences. He points out which incidents and characters are based on actual events, offering a disturbing perspective on the current environment in some public schools. The actors alleviate the seriousness by adding their own asides, backstory, and questions; particularly amusing is an ongoing joke they have about the Helen character having a crush on the gangbanger who has threatened her. Overall, the DVD is a satisfactory presentation of an average film.

A very powerful dramatic movie about a teacher who has had enough of kids not taking the opportunity to learn. I recommend that any kids that call themselves being bad to watch this movie. Watch how one teacher decided on himself to take learning to another level, and if one teacher thought like that what could happen to our bad kids
Boxing is more than just a sport -- it's also a business and a con game in this satirical comedy. Rev. Fred Sultan (Samuel L. Jackson) is a shrewd boxing promoter and manager whose meal ticket is heavyweight champion James "The Grim Reaper" Roper (Damon Wayans), a fighter whose skill and confidence significantly outstrips his intelligence. While the top-ranked contender for Roper's title is Marvin Shabazz (Michael Jace), Sultan isn't too keen on the idea of Shabazz fighting Roper -- it seems that both fighters are black, and Sultan's figures show that mixed race matches stir up a lot more media attention and pay-per-view customers. Eager to find a white challenger for Roper, Sultan digs up Terry Conklin (Peter Berg), who won a Golden Gloves fight against Roper many years ago but is now out of the game and fronting a rock band called Massive Head Wound. Thanks to a few bribes and a couple of fixed fights, Sultan is able to arrange for Conklin to be next in line to battle "The Grim Reaper." However, Conklin is taking his renewed career as a boxer quite seriously, while Roper, convinced that Conklin doesn't stand a chance, has let himself go and gained a lot of weight. Suddenly Sultan realizes that Roper might just lose the piece-of-cake fight he's so carefully arranged, while journalist Mitchell Kane (Jeff Goldblum) smells a rat in Conklin's sudden rise to ranking status. Jon Lovitz, Cheech Marin, and Corbin Bernsen highlight the supporting cast, while members of the well-regarded alternative rock band Local H appear as Massive Head Wound.

Pure greatness for anyone that loves boxing. The best part of the movie is the showing of some funny knockouts. Jamie Foxx is very funny in this movie, but he isnt the only one. Pretty much everyone in the movie either has a funny line or just plain crazy

This movie is really crazy and will threw you for a loop. The reason why I saw it was because of Mr. Jackson, but even with that it still wasn't as good as thought I it would be
