Google Home - Interesting but could be improved

After unboxing the Google Home speaker I'd say it was a little smaller than I expected although and the audio quality isn't too bad. If you're looking for a personal assistant in your home or office then this might be worth considering although if you're looking for a speaker to play music then you might be better off considering other options as the audio quality isn't as good as I had expected when listening to radio stations on the Google Play store. Google provides an app for setup on either Android or iOS based devices. I had used the iOS app on an iPhone 7 Plus and the app appears to be well designed although it did fail initially to update the Google Home with a software update. The setup suggested that a Google email account is required to get access to some features which will be easy if you're connecting from an Android device while iOS users may not presently have a Google account.
Overall it's an interesting concept but one for which I'm not sure I really need.
One suggestion to Google for the next version of this would be to enable the device to connect to other speaker systems, either through a physical cable or via Bluetooth.

Classic Linksys Design with Incredible Performance

I have used Linksys routers and additional WIFI adapters, range extenders for years and I honestly wouldn't go with any other brand of router.
The Linksys WRT 3200ACM is awesome, both from it's classic Linksys rugged design as well as it's incredible performance. The performance of the Linksys 3200ACM was more than enough to support the multiple computers in the home as well as two 4K TV's.
The WRT 3200ACM has also been designed with the latest standards in mind. USB 3.0 and eSATA ports allow you to connect and share storage across your network. For advanced users, the router also supports configuring it using OpenWRT or DD-WRT open source solutions.
Installing the router was easy and as a suggestion for anyone replacing an older router, just use the same network name and password and you won't even need to reconfigure all the devices connected to your network. I've personally done this as I've upgraded my Linksys routers over the years and it definitely makes the upgrade process smoother.

Pixel - A Phone Designed & Built by Google

Google Pixel is the first phone that is entirely designed and engineered at Google, available with 32GB or 128GB of storage. The packaging gave the impression that Google has really attempted to produce a flagship device although the first impression of the device itself was not as compelling. When you hold the phone in your hand however you can feel that this phone is offering more than the average Android phone. It feels well made and it offers some surprising features, compared to other Android phones, such as the finger print sensor. Personally, I'm not sure that placing the finger print sensor on the rear of the phone is the best choice although it does mean that more of the front of the phone can be dedicated to giving the user more pixels (e.g. larger screen). The camera seems to be fairly good in most lighting conditions. Users will likely appreciate having a phone that is designed and built by the same company that builds the Android operating system. Hopefully that will result in a more reliable device over the lifetime of the phone. If you're definitely looking for an Android based phone then I'd say this phone should be a serious contender for your dollar. It's a shame however, that Google doesn't offer the phone with 64GB of storage however, 32GB is likely too little for most users while 128GB might be more than some users are looking for.

Cleaning the home was never so easy

After using the Bissell CrossWave, my wife was very impressed with how well it worked and the capabilities it offered. In the past she would need to vacuum or sweep before mopping. When mopping, it would be messy and take a long time for the floors to dry.
The Bissell makes it all much easier. She loved the ability to have one machine that vacuums at the same time it mops and she found very easy to use. It dispenses just enough liquid to clean the floors while allowing for very quick drying. The machine is quieter than a vacuum and very lightweight. Clean up is easy. It is nice that it came with cleaning solution and extra rollers.
The only concern would be that it cannot maneuver into small areas like behind toilets. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and look forward to using it many more times. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Chromebooks have obviously been very successful in education due to the low costs, this one is actually really nice considering it has a touch screen and is quite good value for the money. If you're looking for a Chromebook for a student then look no further, this is a good choice.

Good, but limited, Tablet

I've used the Acer tablet for a couple of days now and it's surprisingly good value for the money although you should know it's definitely limited in it's capabilities and the Android ecosystem is fragmented. What I mean by this is that not all Android apps work on all Android devices. If you're looking for a simple tablet to browse the web and read email this could be for you but if you need to get stuff done I'd look to the Surface tablets from Microsoft or other hybrid tablets that are capable of doing work usually done on a laptop.

Incredible WI-FI Router

Linksys exceeded all expectations with this WI-FI router, it replaced my older Linksys router that had only 3 WI-FI antennas and this one has 8 antennas. It easily is supporting numerous devices in a family of 6 within a 2500 square foot home. I'd also recommend the Linksys range extenders. We're using one of those to provide an Ethernet connection to my wife's PC.

Excellent WIFI Router

I upgraded from a Linksys EA6900 to the Linksys EA7500 and the process was quite simple aside from the fact the administrator password for the router wasn't mentioned in the setup quick start guide. A quick search on Bing however found that the default password is 'admin' which you should change during setup.
I replaced the default SSID's and passwords with those I was using beforehand and there was no need to reconfigure the TV's, Blu-ray Players and PC's in the house. Everything works awesome.

I have to say, this Bose sound bar was not what I was hoping for. It did not live up to expectations. I felt like set-up should have been a lot simpler than it was. The directions were incredibly limited and left a lot of unanswered questions.
Plus, there apparently isn't much in the way of support on Bose's website or their app for the new Soundtouch 300. I tried to set-up the Wifi through my home network but couldn't find the network that was supposed to be in my settings. I went through all of the steps on Bose's website for troubleshooting this, nothing worked. The Bose app doesn't even list the Soundtouch 300 yet!
Also, I'm not sure if it was my TV or the sound bar, but I couldn't not connect the sound bar using HDMI ARC. I had to use the optical cord instead.
All in all, the overall experience was below my expectations. Everything was frustrating, including trying to set up the universal remote with my devices. Nothing seemed to go like it was supposed to. I'm definitely not the most tech savvy person, but I can usually set up my new electronics without too much difficulty. I expected better from Bose (especially at this price point).

HDMI ARC

I was able to get the Bose SoundTouch 300 Soundbar to work with my Sony XBR-55X930D TV through the HDMI ARC connector. The manual provides some information about setting this up with an optical connection being available if HDMI ARC is either unavailable or you have issues with that connection. The Sony TV settings did not have a setting for CEC as referenced in the Bose manual although apparently the CEC setting is known by other names by various manufacturers. Would recommend calling Bose and/or the TV manufacturer for support.

Would the 2 piece system be Overkill for 3000 square feet?
We're using the AX5300 in our home which is 2600 square feet and the two nodes provide near perfect Wi-Fi throughout the home. I would definitely recommend having at least two nodes, especially having one upstairs and one downstairs for maximum coverage. That said, at the moment both of our nodes are downstairs and we're having no issues at all.

can u still use Keurig - My K-Cup® Universal Reusable Coffee Filter on the new machine??
This brewer is compatible with the Keurig Side Reservoir Water filter although it isn't included. You can purchase it as an accessory or use one from a previous Keurig if upgrading. It is not compatible with the rear reservoir water filter used in other Keurig models, only the side reservoir water filter.

Does it need the filters?
It does not come with the Side Reservoir Water Filter that has been provided with earlier models. It is compatible but must be purchased separately. If the water you use is already filtered you may not choose to purchase this accessory but it's available if you'd prefer.

Hi, does this soundbar support Dolby Atmos? It says it does on Sony's website: https://www.sony.com/electronics/sound-bars/ht-x9000f/buy/htx9000f It's confusing that it doesn't show Atmos support on your site.
The soundbar has a sticker on it indicating it supports Dolby Atmos and the Dobly Atmos logo is also on the product manual. It definitely supports Dolby Atmos.

If the product does support Dolby Atmos, why don't you list that in the description or specifications? Also, why doesnt it show up when I filter for Dolby Atmos sound bars? You should fix your site.
Yes, it does indeed support Dolby Atmos. Hopefully BestBuy can make it such that this can be searchable.

If I took this to the UK will it work on their plugs?
The power adapter is voltage sensing and supports 110v to 240v and so you would simply need a plug adapter available at the airport or most electronics stores.

Is it compatible with 240v as well?
The power adapter supplied with the Google Home appears to support 110v to 240v, so you would simply need an adapter for the plug to work in the UK (for example).
