Excellent Headphones for TV, Movies and Music

The Sennheiser RS185 provides an excellent solution to the issue that I'm sure many of us have from time to time. You want to watch TV or a move, or simply listen to music while someone else wants to sleep or simply not be interrupted by what you're doing. The RS185 provides an excellent solution to this and I'm now able to watch TV at night without keeping my wife awake. The sound quality is good although like other reviewers have said, you'll really experience the depth of sound when listening to music and not necessarily while watching TV. That said, that's more about the input source than it is the headphones themselves. The RS185 provides a base that acts as the transmitter for the headphones and the base also acts as the charger. The range within the specifications is listed as 328 feet or 100 meters although many reviewers have experienced different results. It's likely though that the layout and materials used to build your home may affect this. In my case though the headphones are able to solve the main issue, watching TV or listening to music while my wife and children are sleeping. If you are also looking for headphones to solve this issue then I'd recommend checking these out.

Incredible PC

If you're looking for a PC with the convenience of an all in one but with powerful components to get some real work done then you have likely found your perfect PC. The Intel Core i7 7700T processor is a quad core processor with hyper-threading, meaning it can support 8 threads of execution simultaneously. If you're not as technical then this simply means the processor can be working on 8 different things at the same time. 12GB of memory is also likely good for anything that the average user would need, certainly good enough for comfortably running Word, Excel and Outlook etc. Its a curious amount of memory though you see PC's with 8GB and 16GB of memory typically and I would have liked to have seen HP provide 16GB of memory in this model. This is especially because it can be very challenging to upgrade components within All-In-One PC's. 1TB of storage is also likely to be more than enough for most users although you can expand this easily enough with external storage that would connect to the PC using USB 3.0. I'll likely take this route as we have years of family pictures that we'll want to safe guard on an external drive that supports RAID, meaning your files or pictures are written to two or more drives in case of failure. I digress a little as the external drive isn't really part of this PC although HP has provided extensive connectivity options for external devices, including HDMI input and output. The screen quality is amazing and many users will really appreciate the touch screen that works very well with Windows 10. The supplied mouse and keyboard are also very elegant and feel just like the PC itself, attention to detail was definitely paid here. I often replace the keyboard and mouse supplied with PC's and it was nice that I really don't think I'll need to do that in this case.
If there were any downsides to the design of the PC it would simply be that HP could have made it easier for you to replace or expand the storage and memory. As is commonly the case with the All-In-One category of computers, you are giving up a little expandability here for the convenience of the fact that you do not need a tower sitting next to the monitor.
Overall, we're so happy with this PC that I'm considering buying a second for the kids to use for homework. If you're looking for a powerful, elegant All-In-One PC then look no further, this one will definitely impress.

Incredible Headphones

As someone who travels a lot for work I'm always on the look out for new noise cancelling headphones and I'm also a huge fan of Bowers and Wilkins.
When I first discovered Bowers and Wilkins speakers it was the audio equivalent of going from black and white TV to color. The sound was incredible. I even use Bowers and Wilkins shelf speakers and a subwoofer for my desktop PC in my home office.
As you can imagine then, I was very excited to see that Bowers and Wilkins had developed the PX, noise cancelling Bluetooth headphones. As you would expect from Bowers and Wilkins, the quality of these headphones is apparent before you even hear them. They are a little heavier than other noise canceling headphones and this is not a negative thing in my mind. They feel incredible as you remove them from the box.
Charging them is easy with the supplied USB-C cable and Bowers and Wilkins also provides an audio cable for when you're not able to use Bluetooth. Once charged the Bowers and Wilkins PX will provide 22 hours of use. One feature I really liked was the fact that if you take the headphones off for a moment the headphones will pause playback and resume playback as soon as you put the headphones back on. I'm honestly amazed that no one else has thought of that before, as far as I know that is.
The PX comes with a stylish fabric case which would be great for headphones that I would use at home although for taking on the road I would have preferred it if Bowers and Wilkins had provided a hardened case that could protect the headphones.
Overall though, if you're looking for exceptional quality in some noise canceling headphones I would definitely recommend the PX.

Excellent Chromebook, OK Laptop

I have only used Chromebooks a few times before taking a look at Google's first party Pixelbook and unlike many Chromebooks on the market today from third-party manufactures, Google has focused on designing and building a premium device. The hardware is very impressive, driven by a powerful Intel Core i5 processor with 8Gb of memory and 128Gb of SSD storage. Chromebooks are becoming increasingly more useful with tools like Microsoft Office being available although a subscription is required to make the best use of the suite of Office tools. An extensive set of apps is available for the Chromebook although if you are used to laptops running Windows or MacOS then the Chrome OS maybe a little limiting for you. If though you're comfortable using your phone for most things but would love a bigger screen and a high quality keyboard then this laptop will not disappoint. Google also makes available a pen for the Pixelbook and I look forward to trying that out although I have not used it yet at the time of writing this review.

I have been an Adobe Acrobat Pro user for years and the latest version is an incredible upgrade. I'm a user of the full Adobe Photoshop and I have seen how daunting that can be for the average users. It's honestly daunting for me on occasion and that's where Photoshop Elements comes in. Awesome Wire-Free HD Security Cameras

I was really excited to hear that Netgear was releasing the second generation Arlo Pro system. We have been using the first generation Arlo Pro for a year or so and it has proven really useful in so many ways. As someone who works from home the Arlo Pro allows me to determine if I should ignore a knock at the door while I'm on a business call in my home office or is it something that is important enough for me to answer the door. If it's FedEx or UPS at the door I can speak to them through the Arlo camera and ask that they simply leave the package on the front door. With the Arlo Pro 2 the video from the camera is in 1080p HD and the rechargeable batteries last a few weeks between charges. If you would prefer not to have to worry about charging the rechargeable batteries you a can also install the cameras where they would be plugged in directly to power. Arlo also works with Amazon Alexa, allowing you to view your camera on Echo Show or Fire TV.
A few months ago I was traveling for work and my daughter was sad to find that her pet hamster had escaped and was somewhere in the upstairs of our home. While my wife could hear him at night she was not able to find him and catch him. I suggested that she remove the Arlo camera from the front of the house and place it in our master bathroom, near where she had heard him previously. The Arlo detected the hamster in the middle of the night and alerted my wife by text that motion was detected. The hamster was caught and returned to his cage and I'm confident that wouldn't have been the case without the Arlo. Those videos of the hamster caught by the Arlo also provided some humor to our friends and neighbors, several of which have since decided to install Arlo camera themselves.

Awesome for Families with Pets

We are a family that has two cats and a dog. This vacuum worked very well for picking up the pet fur. It also cleaned the hardwood along with the carpets with ease given its ability to adapt to different surfaces. It is light weight and maneuvers easily. The small head fits in areas that our other vacuum does not. It swivels nicely around corners. We really like the automatic sensor that switches depending on what type of surface you are cleaning. Other vacuums you need to switch the buttons depending on if it is hardwood, thin carpet or thick carpet. The lights on the head and handle make it easy to see things that might normally be missed on the floor. The fact that the vacuum is cordless, makes it very easy to get around and not be fighting with the cord. The charging dock is nice and the battery seems sturdy and a good size. The vacuum comes with a hanging bracket for ease when putting away. It takes up much less space than a normal sized vacuum would.
While the vacuum is very light, it does not seem as solidly made as it could be and therefore I worry a little about how long it might last. But so far so good. I do wish it came with a bag for all the accessories. We put them in a bag we already had so not really so much of an issue.
We hope to have this vacuum for many years to come.

Awesome Audio with Noise Canceling

I travel extensively for work and never leave home without some quality noise canceling headphones. These headphones do not disappoint at the office or at 35,000 feet. The audio quality is what you would expect from Sony and the noise cancelation was very good. If you like incredible depth to your music you will not be disappointed. These headphones also support Sony High-Res audio which means these headphones have been designed to work well with lossless audio formats such as FLAC and AAC.
Charging the headphones is very fast, great for when you're traveling and realize you should have charged them before leaving for the airport. The headphones are charged using a micro-USB cable (supplied) and Sony claims a 10 minute charge will give you 70 minutes of use.
Overall, if you're looking for good quality noise canceling headphones these should definitely be on your radar!

Just in time for the Holidays

We just got the Phillips ProMix and have already used it a couple times. I used it to whip up a breakfast casserole. It blended the ingredients very quickly and made the eggs fluffy.
The casserole baked evenly and everyone thought it was the best one yet. I have been making the casserole for years but have always just used a hand whisk for the eggs and milk.
I also made some banana bread. I used the mixer to mix all the wet ingredients including the bananas. The bread came out fabulous and also cooked more evenly than previously without the blender.
This blender has some great features. The speed controls are very nice and you just press harder for each speed. There are no separate speed buttons which I like. The mixer detaches with a press of the button making for very easy clean-up.
It also came with a cookbook and accessory options. The accessories look really good and I will probably be getting them soon. I’m looking forward to making the Pumpkin and Chorizo Soup with Fall upon us.
This blender will be used in our household for many years to come.

I have to say, this Bose sound bar was not what I was hoping for. It did not live up to expectations. I felt like set-up should have been a lot simpler than it was. The directions were incredibly limited and left a lot of unanswered questions.
Plus, there apparently isn't much in the way of support on Bose's website or their app for the new Soundtouch 300. I tried to set-up the Wifi through my home network but couldn't find the network that was supposed to be in my settings. I went through all of the steps on Bose's website for troubleshooting this, nothing worked. The Bose app doesn't even list the Soundtouch 300 yet!
Also, I'm not sure if it was my TV or the sound bar, but I couldn't not connect the sound bar using HDMI ARC. I had to use the optical cord instead.
All in all, the overall experience was below my expectations. Everything was frustrating, including trying to set up the universal remote with my devices. Nothing seemed to go like it was supposed to. I'm definitely not the most tech savvy person, but I can usually set up my new electronics without too much difficulty. I expected better from Bose (especially at this price point).

I was able to get the Bose SoundTouch 300 Soundbar to work with my Sony XBR-55X930D TV through the HDMI ARC connector. The manual provides some information about setting this up with an optical connection being available if HDMI ARC is either unavailable or you have issues with that connection. The Sony TV settings did not have a setting for CEC as referenced in the Bose manual although apparently the CEC setting is known by other names by various manufacturers. Would recommend calling Bose and/or the TV manufacturer for support.

Would the 2 piece system be Overkill for 3000 square feet?
We're using the AX5300 in our home which is 2600 square feet and the two nodes provide near perfect Wi-Fi throughout the home. I would definitely recommend having at least two nodes, especially having one upstairs and one downstairs for maximum coverage. That said, at the moment both of our nodes are downstairs and we're having no issues at all.

can u still use Keurig - My K-Cup® Universal Reusable Coffee Filter on the new machine??
This brewer is compatible with the Keurig Side Reservoir Water filter although it isn't included. You can purchase it as an accessory or use one from a previous Keurig if upgrading. It is not compatible with the rear reservoir water filter used in other Keurig models, only the side reservoir water filter.

Does it need the filters?
It does not come with the Side Reservoir Water Filter that has been provided with earlier models. It is compatible but must be purchased separately. If the water you use is already filtered you may not choose to purchase this accessory but it's available if you'd prefer.

Hi, does this soundbar support Dolby Atmos? It says it does on Sony's website: https://www.sony.com/electronics/sound-bars/ht-x9000f/buy/htx9000f It's confusing that it doesn't show Atmos support on your site.
The soundbar has a sticker on it indicating it supports Dolby Atmos and the Dobly Atmos logo is also on the product manual. It definitely supports Dolby Atmos.

If the product does support Dolby Atmos, why don't you list that in the description or specifications? Also, why doesnt it show up when I filter for Dolby Atmos sound bars? You should fix your site.
Yes, it does indeed support Dolby Atmos. Hopefully BestBuy can make it such that this can be searchable.

You can search the HP website for the Upgrading and Servicing Manual and while this is likely not something for the average consumer to attempt, you should be able to upgrade the memory or storage assuming you're comfortable with building or maintaining a PC.

The power adapter is voltage sensing and supports 110v to 240v and so you would simply need a plug adapter available at the airport or most electronics stores.

Is it compatible with 240v as well?
The power adapter supplied with the Google Home appears to support 110v to 240v, so you would simply need an adapter for the plug to work in the UK (for example).
