This is my second Norelco electric shaver.
The first one was purchased just before going away to college.
I was only twenty one then.
Over the years two batteries were installed.
Surprisingly this new shaver looks just like the one it replaced.
Unlike my old one, no carrying case came with this one. So I deducted one star on this review.
U can get an optional shaver stand. Be sure to use the coupon for a discount and free shipping. Also to extend the warranty for six extra months.
Will have to try a wet shave with foam to see if it does a better shave. Always use pre-shave lotion for best results when doing a dry shave.
My first time out I did a dry shave. Results as predicted for a clean device with fresh shaver heads. A good job.
In the past a drug store near me carried replacement heads and even cleaning solution in a black container. But all of that can be purchased online.
If this model electric shaver last as long as my old one, it’ll probably out live me !

Feature rich mouse with many ways to use it

First of all let me say I’m not a hard core gamer.
Got this mouse because of the reputation of gaming gear in general.
More features than you would normally see.
Mouse has Bluetooth and can be used with a cord. Tried the cord for the first few days with no issue. My mini PC readily found the bluetooth name for the mouse.
There’s also a USB receiver included if you don’t like Bluetooth. It sticks out more than other USB receivers that I have used with wireless mice. That was curious. The cord looks stronger than the black ones I have seen on other mice.
Mouse felt very comfortable. Even for my smallish size hand. It did take a few hours to get used to it tho.
So far this is the best, most versatile mouse, I have used on the desktop.
I recommend it to anyone looking for a quality, well built device, for everyday use.

The first thing I noticed when I first took it out of the box it came in, was how BIG the pad was.
Took up a lot of space on my PC desk.
After a while I realized this charging pad can also be used with a variety of devices that can take advantage of wireless charging. This was confirmed after reading a small pamphlet that I found in the box the device came in. Be sure to study the various adapters so U use the correct one when charging devices. One of them worked well with my new Corsair Dark Core SE gaming mouse.
It’s too bad that the product requires two USB ports to work.
I did discover a blue USB 3.0 port on the side of the device so I was able to charge my smartphone from it.
One thing I noticed is that it took a while to wirelessly charge my Corsair Dark Core SE gaming mouse.
So, if U have the space to use this charging pad, I recommend it.
But first have a look at the photo I attached. Charging pad is sitting on top of my HP Deskjet 3632 all in one printer.

SAVES $ ON YOUR PRINTING

Took delivery of this new printer this morning.
Set it up without looking at any documentation. Went thru alignment process as I did with my Deskjet 3620.
It was a breeze.
Inserted the black and color toner cartridges.
Powered up unit and just answered all the questions on the front panel display.
Then went into settings of my Acer R11 Chromebook and selected the printer, Printed a document to be sure printing was in fact enabled.
Then launched HP Smart Android app on my OG Pixel phone and scanned a document to test this feature. Was able to email it to me.
Then from the front panel, I made a copy.
And that was all there is to it.
Just so U know the printed documentation in the box has very little instructions. Guess HP figured that there are many other people like me who really don’t need it.
The costs of each page printed is suppose to be approx. 50% less than a laser printer. And you have the ability to print in color.
Nice upgrade from my two year old Deskjet printer.

IMPRESSIVE FEATURES MAKE THIS A VERY GOOD VALUE

I’ve had a chance to try a number of portable bluetooth speakers over the past year and must say this one impresses me the most.
Live sound, which provides a 3D listening experience, was one of the first things I noticed. I sampled smooth jazz, classical music, music from the 40’s and acoustic guitar free radio stations from Google Play Music and everything was enjoyable for hours at a time.
There are a number of controls that make it a bit more complicated to understand but with time I’ll figure it out.
Sony is big on NFC which is good for folks who have issues with Bluetooth connectivity.
This speaker has weather proofing and quite a few party features such as flashing lights and the ability to daisy chain it with other speakers. Party Booster allows U to tap the speaker in different places to make different sounds, which makes for interesting conversation with party goers. And of course there is a Sony Music Center app to control UR party music from the dance floor.
12 hour battery life is fine. And rugged construction makes it a go to listening device, while on outdoor outings.
It’s suppose to be white but more of a light grey color to me.
Extra bass is a feature not commonly seen at the price of this product IMHO.

Big Screen Experience in the comfort of your home

I have been thinking about getting a new, big, TV for my living room until I saw this projector and decided to give it a try.
Set up projector and Toshiba Chromebook 1 on my kitchen table. U can use a smartphone or tablet if U want to. Everything is approx. 18 ft. from vaulted ceiling wall in the living room. Paint is a flat white. Everything I needed was in the Quick Setup guide. Thumbs up for this.

Watched a Google Play TV show starting late in the afternoon when there was still daylight. Sky was slightly overcast.
As the sun went down image quality improved.
Sound quality from the projector is acceptable but it can be hooked up to a sound system if desired.
Unfortunately I don’t have a 4K TV to draw comparisons with.
Only have a 720p 32” TV. I will say the product compares favorably with a standard def movie at a theater.

So this setup is much improved over what I currently have.
I live in a one bedroom condo so don’t have an outdoor yard for movies at night.
Unless U have a place to set up everything, this product might not be for U.

This projector will see much more use if I move to a house or maybe a townhouse some day.
Will recommend it to anyone who wants a really big screen experience.

OK but U can pay more $ for more features

Very compact sized over the ear headset. Also lightweight.
No noise cancelling or extra bass features here.
Used it to listen to Google Play Music free radio stations on my Toshiba Chromebook 1, with no issues. Also worked fine on a Pixel phone.
Sound volume could be higher IMHO.
Product is suppose to work with the Google Assistant. Only problem is my phone and Google Home Mini are in the living room of my condo, so no real way to test this feature.
Didn’t have to use a pairing code to get set up.
There is no cord to use as a wired set up in case Bluetooth goes down. I’m not too excited about this but YMMV.
If U can afford to pay more, Sony has other models just so U know.

Can't update firmware w/o Windows or Mac PC

Watch was almost fully charged when I took it out of the box.
No instructions on how to charge it. See photo attached to see what to do. The included Quick Guide has very little information on how to use the watch. This is strange and might make some customers feel uncomfortable.
Had to wait overnight before the the watch face showed up with time. Display was dim until I pressed a button on the right side of the device. Then it was readable but still not very bright. Guess the developer opted for maximum battery life.This watch is built rugged. Although I don’t do watersports anymore, I’m confident it is waterproof per product specs
I’m confused about the procedure to update firmware. Looks like U have to download the files to a Windows or Mac PC and that there’s no way to do it directly from the device. That’s a big drawback in my opinion. Some people spend most of their on mobile except at work.
Using the companion app is simple to use. But still trying to view results on the watch. This is going to take some time. Might make a comment later on my review so verdict is still out for now.
If U use the website, there are many options listed to track exercise. Very impressive. Starting exercise tracking from the website is a good convenience as I do all my exercise starting from where I live.
Using movescount Android app and website to keep track of my walking activity and circuit training activities.
I have a Moto 360-2 Android Wear watch and have never tracked gym activity because I don’t like bringing my phone into the building. With the Suunto I don’t have to worry about this as it is a dedicated stand alone device. Big points here.
Watch band is wide so don’t think it’s for females.

I bought a set of these E12 decorative smart light bulbs for my foyer, hanging, open air light fixture.
Might also get an accent lamp bc I like the different colors.
Love the ability to control the hanging light fixture using the Philips Hue Bridge and app.
When I’m away from my property, I can set the hours the lights go on. Can even set a random pattern.
With the app, I don’t have to worry about forgetting to set up the time schedule.
If I have company over, I use the different colors to liven up the party and create conversation.
Also during December, I can use different colors with an accent lamp, to complement my X-Mas tree.
Philips Hue Lightning products are the most comprehensive line of smart lightning available now, so have a look around at all they have to offer.
These light bulbs are a very nice addition to my home and highly recommend them to anyone with a similar environment/taste.

Convenient and easy to control

I have a Philips Hue Bridge set up near the center of my one bedroom condo’s floorplan.
Setup was fairly fast and intuitive using a Google Home Mini.
Not so using an Amazon Alexa Bluetooth speaker @ someone else’s two story 2,500 SF house. Had to figure out extra steps and use Skills. Probably should have tried to find a video to aid me.
Just so U know I bought a Starter Philips Hue kit from a local Best Buy. They sent me email to help me. Really like this follow up feature. Too bad I had already completed setups before getting the email.
Love the convenience of being able to control the Philips Hue A19 white smart light bulbs using a Ultimate Ears - BLAST Smart Portable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Speaker with Amazon Alexa Voice Assistant.
And I was able to add another person to Alexa for voice controls.
Also used the Hue Smart Motion Sensor in my bedroom, over my computer nook and in the outdoor light fixture near my front door.
Have the Philips Hue and Alexa apps installed on my Nexus 6 phone, for remote control of the bulbs when I’m not at home.
Best home investment I’ve made this year.
Recommend it highly for anyone interested in controlling their home lighting better.

Talk about a disappointed daughter! Geez. I'm a little upset to say the least. I hope exchange goes smoothly tomorrow, if there is another in stock that is.

I have owned two Chromebooks prior to the R11. I am familiar with the Chrome OS ecosystem, what it has to offer, and where it falls short.

BUILD QUALITY (3/5):
The build quality of the R11 is average, at best. It has a patterned aluminum cover/lid, but it doesn’t make the device feel any bit premium, and I wouldn’t count on it providing any additional protection to the display. The unit I received has misaligned hinges, which causes the device to rock a bit at certain angles—in addition to being an eyesore. That being said, I don’t feel as though it will cause any harm to the device in the long-term.

I had no issues with flipping the display 180 degrees. Typing on the keyboard was fine, but I personally felt as though the keys could have had less resistance or bit more vertical displacement. I had to press harder on these compared to other keyboards I’ve tried on Chromebooks around this price range.
DISPLAY (3/5):
The 11.6” display runs at 1366x768—resulting in 135 ppi (pixels-per-inch). Comparatively, a 13.3” display at 1920x1080 results in 165 ppi. The R11 display is adequate at this resolution—text is sharp enough to avoid complaining, and viewing images and videos is enjoyable.

That is, unless you’re trying to use it in direct sunlight. This display is quite reflective, so you won’t be using this much in direct sunlight. With a bit of shade, you’ll be fine. Indoors, the display is adequate and provides adequate brightness. The display is also quite reflective and is also a smudgy fingerprint magnet, which is why indoor use in moderate lighting conditions is ideal.
As for the touch screen, it works quite well. If anything, Chrome OS needs more refinement and more features to really utilize the touchscreen. Multi-touch worked without issue. However, modern web content isn’t really suited to touch screens, so it’s definitely a bit awkward to have a touch screen, at the moment.
PERFORMANCE (2/5):
I really can’t give this Chromebook a 3 because there are older, cheaper Chromebooks that outperform this more expensive R11. The Intel Celeron N3050 is really a bottom-bin Intel Atom, more than it is a Celeron. These fanless processors (aside from the Core M series) don’t come close to the U-series Celerons. Sure, you’ll get more battery life, but what is that worth if it’s a pain to use the device?
I really can’t give this Chromebook a 3 because there are older, cheaper Chromebooks that outperform this more expensive R11. The Intel Celeron N3050 is really a bottom-bin Intel Atom, more than it is a Celeron. These fanless processors (aside from the Core M series) don’t come close to the U-series Celerons. With my bookmarks, caching, history, extensions, etc. that is associated to my Google account, this Chromebook could not handle more than a few tabs without throwing a fit. When I used Guest mode, the Chromebook performed adequately with 4 tabs—to the point where scrolling was not abysmal.
That being said, I had much better performance on a 13.3” 1080p Chromebook using the Intel Celeron N2840 and 4GB of RAM—which was the same price as the R11. Even Acer’s own C720 outperforms the R11.
BATTERY LIFE (4/5):
The battery life on this Chromebook doesn’t quite stand up to some other contenders, but with light processor usage, it shouldn’t have any problem lasting throughout the day before needing a charge. However, the idle drain is not very good. For a fanless design, you would expect low power consumption when the device is idle, but you will want to turn the device when you aren’t using it for long periods of time—otherwise you will be saying goodbye to 10-20% of your battery.
The battery life on this Chromebook doesn’t quite stand up to some other contenders, but with light processor usage, it shouldn’t have any problem lasting throughout the day before needing a charge. Being my first Chromebook this was a brand new experience for me which made it fun to review.
Pros:
Lightweight - can use on lap without getting uncomfortable.
Good build quality - Case, hinges, keyboard felt sturdy and well built.
Pretty good battery life - not sure about the advertised 10 hours but I used in tent mode listening to music all day at work for several days (6-8 hours) and it had around 20% left.
Easy to setup - If you already have a Google account like I do all you have to do is sign in and it syncs everything up for you.
Lightweight - can use on lap without getting uncomfortable.
Good build quality - Case, hinges, keyboard felt sturdy and well built.

Headphone controls don't work - In line mic with controls (e.g. click to pause music) do not work, have to use screen or keyboard.
Tablet mode not that touch friendly - I liked the tent mode for watching things but found that many of the chrome OS apps such as mail, docs, files, are not all that friendly for using as a tablet and still geared towards mouse & keyboard input.
Chrome Apps - Was not all that excited about how all of the core Chrome apps are just the web versions opened up into new tabs in the Chrome browser. Also, there is not a very good selection of Chrome OS apps in the chrome web store. I was really underwhelmed. I think it will get much better when Google finishes integrating the Play store into the Chrome OS which will open up availability to many more of the Android apps out there but for right now it seems pretty limited.
Offline mode for certain functions needs special apps (e.g. gmail) - Some apps like mail require a special app to use if you are offline. Why can't the core gmail app just be smart enough to work connected or disconnected.
Kind of cheap "Plasticy" feel - Even though it seems pretty well built the choice of plastic and texture for the outside makes it feel kind of cheap when holding it.

Headphone controls don't work - In line mic with controls (e.g. click to pause music) do not work, have to use screen or keyboard.
Tablet mode not that touch friendly - I liked the tent mode for watching things but found that many of the chrome OS apps such as mail, docs, files, are not all that friendly for using as a tablet and still geared towards mouse & keyboard input.
Chrome Apps - Was not all that excited about how all of the core Chrome apps are just the web versions opened up into new tabs in the Chrome browser. Also, there is not a very good selection of Chrome OS apps in the chrome web store. I was really underwhelmed. I think it will get much better when Google finishes integrating the Play store into the Chrome OS which will open up availability to many more of the Android apps out there but for right now it seems pretty limited.
Offline mode for certain functions needs special apps (e.g. gmail) - Some apps like mail require a special app to use if you are offline. Why can't the core gmail app just be smart enough to work connected or disconnected.
This is a decent little 2-in-1 if you subscribe to the "cloud" OS always connected model. Great for internet surfing and light productivity work especially if you are all-in with the Google app Eco-system. Don't expect to be as productive as using a traditional laptop computer though, especially when disconnected. Also until the Play store and Android is fully integrated you might be disappointed in what apps are available.

Soundbar is really a soundbox because it's compact. Rich sound from such a small form factor.
Sub woofer not very loud but tech support said they could replace it.
Bluetooth and casting works fine. WiFi enabled but don't need it.
Still learning all the features so may provide feedback at a later date.

Mesh Wi-Fi router can cause interference

I had installed the soundbar next to a Linksys Velop Wi-Fi Mesh Router. On Pergo flooring with 9' high ceiling in a family room.
Caused all kinds of problems.
Then moved to approx. 12' away from a TP-Link wireless N router. Problems went away.
My set up is now in the living room of my condo. There is a 20' vaulted ceiling. Sound still quite amazing.
Most of the time I used the built in Chromecast feature. Have casted from a Nexus 6 phone and a Chromebox so far. Soundbar is connected to my TV with the OPT cord provided.
Had the remote replaced. Testing it now. Can say the soundbox recognizes it.
Price is on the lower end of the Polk Home Theater line. I highly recommend it. Will always some gear like it on any TV's purchased in the future.

It has a built in sub woofer so the bass was good. Maybe that's why it's so big
Connected my Nexus 6 to the USB port to charge it.
Connected an old iPod Touch 4th gen. and it worked too.
Battery took three hours to charge out of the box. Had to try several
times to insert the US power adapter but eventually it snapped into place.

Forgot to mention there's a blue button on the control panel, for taking a hands free, mobile phone call using this speaker.
I may not be close enough to the BT speaker to use this, but it's nice to have anyway.

This is my first Roomba. Must say it's loads of fun. Did a good job cleaning the carpet in my 724 sf one bedroom condo. I say this b/c I had to clean the dust out of the bin after using it only one time. Best to use the mobile app as U can program it to clean on certain days. Also it's easier to tell the Roomba to end the job and head back to the charging base. Roomba took almost 25 minutes to clean my carpets which seemed like a long time. And I cleared away a lot of furniture and stuff on the floor before operating it. Don't think it cleaned very well underneath my bed. Maybe it will as time goes by. Also it was a bit noisy but not much more than my upright Hoover SAVVY. At this point I need more experience with it and will not let it loose if I'm not home.

Needs time to learn about UR flooring

I ran my Roomba 890 for the third time this morning. It went straight for my bedroom bed and spent a lot of time underneath it. Must have some kind of dust sensing feature for carpeting. It did, however, spend waaay too much time in the living room. Carpets there are cleaner than other areas in my condo so don't understand the logic of it.
Will keep using it until I get it figured out.

Attach the Window Mount to Circle 2 Camera and place it on any window pane to see outdoors. Watch over the front porch and driveway or overlook the backyard from indoors.

Couldn't find any info from the OEM about why it does what it does. Maybe they think mounting the camera outside is better ?
Think I read something on a blog post about reduced glare & reflections and that's why I purchased it.

I was skeptical at first when I found this book shelf mini Hi-Fi system.
Set it up in the living room of my one bedroom condo. Have high vaulted ceiling there.
Sound quality similar to the standard, factory installed, 6 speaker stereo system, in a 2005 Toyota Prius.
Bass effect could be a bit better tho.
Have some CD’s and even audio cassettes from several years back. All played fine. System couldn’t detect my old, iPod Touch 4th Gen. I was able to play a MP3 from a USB 2.0 flash drive tho.
I used to listen to FM radio a lot. Selection of stations not too good where I live. But I can get the same content I listen to, when I’m driving.
Wish the two speakers didn’t have to use wires.
Speaker and main console fit under my TV stand. Other speaker went into my old stereo system cabinet.
Nowadays I like to stream free, Google Play Music radio stations, so can make greater daily use of this system. Pandora was also fine.
If U find this system on sale @ Best Buy for $149.99 with free shipping, U are doing pretty good IMHO.
This is a Gr8, compact sized, Hi-Fi system, for those who don’t have a lot of room to work with.
And the price won’t break the bank.
