Rug Doctor is available for rent at many hardware and grocery stores.
The one I have looks different. Not boxy, It’s like an upright vac on steroids
I read the instruction booklet thoroughly before using.
My only complaint is it’s so heavy getting it upstairs in a two story home. Also I had to bring it up the stairs to get it inside my condo.
It must have a done a good job as the dirty water container was not clear when I emptied it.
Opened a lot of windows and used it the first time on a sunny but somewhat cool day.
Carpets in the house dried overnight and looked reasonably clean the next day.
Second time I used it on the carpets in my one bedroom condo. I have way too much carpet in there. Only have vinyl flooring in kitchen and where shower/toilet is.
Spilled hot oatmeal where my Chromebox work station is. Cleaned up pretty good at first. But after a full day of drying, stain appeared but wasn’t as visible as before. Office chair left some black marks that didn’t clean up well. Dining room floor carpets did clean up tho. I used Rug Doctor pre-treat stain remover too. Bought it at my local Safeway Food & Drug.
Overall results were acceptable from this well know brand.
But you can only do so much with carpets. Even the pros can’t do more for you.
Just so you know I don’t have any pets.

Not a whole of things to mention about this neat audio adapter.
Product webpage on Best Buy sez for Apple iPhone 7s and above but box sez iPhone 7 to iPhoneX.
if you like to store your music library on an iPhone and/or stream a music service or listen to podcast while driving or at home, this a great accessory.
My vehicles don’t have 3.5 mm jacks but my Polk Magnify Mini Sound System does.
And I have seen some Bluetooth wireless speakers with AUX ports on the back of them.
There are also a lot of PC’s with a headphone jack. Sound quality might not be that great tho.
I do appreciate the expanded sound options of using a home sound system instead of just relying on using a wireless or corded headset on my mobile phone.
Sometimes it can take a little bit of effort to get Bluetooth going. Wired connections are rock solid in general.
Good accessory to have just in case it’s needed.

This starter kit comes with the hub and three smart A19 light bulbs. A19 means they are white LED bulbs designed for long life and a good level of brightness.
What I immediately noticed is how small the hub is. Very good if space is tight. The hub can be used on a wired internet connection to the back of a LAN port on your wireless router. Or it can be used on home Wi-Fi in wireless mode.
Install the Android or iOS app, create an account, sign in and then follow the instructions on the app to set up the lightning. Make sure firmware is updated by studying the owner manual. And of course the app should be updated from time to time.
If you really like this product, you can buy an Alexa or Google Assistant device so you don’t have to carry or be near your phone. These devices are available in many different form factors and can come integrated into a Bluetooth wireless speaker. Some devices are small enough to fit into a plastic housing frame that plugs into an electrical outlet.
I have one light bulb for my bedroom so I don’t stub my toes on the bed frame when it’s dark.
Have another light bulb in my living room near the center of my one bedroom condo floor plan.
I might install the third light bulb inside the overhead light fixture above my kitchen sink. Not sure if this works well in an enclosed light fixture but willing to give it a try.
Lightning can be set up to go on/off per a schedule on the app. Very good feature for folks who spend days away from home. Brightness level and warmth adjusting also available on the app.
If you live in an area with blackouts, it might be a good idea to buy a backup battery supply.
At any rate this type of automated lightning rocks and I recommend it to anyone who seeks this kind of modern convenience.

This is my first time out with an ASUS product.
Used the website to set it up even tho I have the Android app installed.
Noticed an immediate increase of internet speed on my Chromebook which runs on Wireless-AC. Old router was a single band N model. Blue Cave has the latest Wi-Fi features which includes AC.
Had a hard time getting some of my LoT connected devices set up again. The Google stuff was the easiest.
Note my two Geeni Wi-Fi light bulbs and power strip didn’t survive the switch to the new router.
What I need to do next is to hook up my old single band N router to the ASUS Blue Cave and see what happens. It did help get one of my cameras going again.
Firmware check shows I’m up to date.
OG Pixel phone had no issues connecting to both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 bands.
Same with gaming laptop PC and Chromebox. Printing on all PC’s OK as it was before.
Must say this router does have an unusual appearance.
Footprint takes up a bit less space than the conventional shaped router I was using.
I did make sure I have separate SSID’s and passwords for both bands.
Most LoT devices only run on the 2.4 band which sucks so if shopping for new devices, try to get dual band features.
As for security features as they relate to LoT connected devices, only time will tell if I do have added protection against the bad guys.

Quick set up guide and owner’s manual is online, nothing in the box that it came in.
Pretty straight foward to get going.
It found my OG Pixel with no problems.
Listened to Google Play Music free radio station as I always do.
Sound quality just fine. So is the fit.
Love the hook that goes over each ear.
Probably won’t lose any of these earbuds.
Good !
If U use Siri or the Google Assistant, this is the way to go.
Google Assistant worked as intended just so U know. But still have to use phone first to hear any responses.
Assuming U like to use a voice assistant, these earbuds are a great option.
Sorry don’t have more to add.
Hope U have many enjoyable hours using it :-)

A natural extension of UR phone

Came in a handsome square shaped box with a clip stand and charging cable.
I had already installed the Android app but couldn’t finish setup as battery was too low.
Might be able to use the wall charger that came with my OG Pixel phone, as it uses USB-C also.
After charging the device to 85% I mounted it to the included clip stand and then attached it to the top of a coffee cup.
Took three clips and then used OG Pixel phone to cast it to a family room TV. What fun that was !
After a few minutes, I realized I could have used the clip stand to place it on the kitchen table.
There is an optional, small tripod and carrying bag I might purchase to get more out of the Clips.
I do like the option of just saving clips to the device and not being forced to upload to the cloud.
Just so U know I have been using Google Photos since it came out three years ago and don’t mind storing photos and videos on the cloud. By doing this I can use any internet enabled device to look at my content.
I view the Google Clips as a natural extension of my phone and can’t wait to visit a relative with two dogs and use the device at several family gatherings later this year.
AI for Photography is great fun and I look forward to saving those special moments.

I have been eyeing a pair of Truly Free Bluetooth Wireless Earbuds since last year.
Have experience with other corded JVC headsets and jumped on this pair.
It paired easily with my OG Pixel phone.
Played some Google Play Music, free radio station, classical music. Sound quality was fine.
Love the way you gently twist them to lock onto your ears, so you don’t lose them.
First time out I used them for two hours with no discomfort experienced.
Did encounter a bit of crackling sound after a while, but it went away in a few minutes.
It was nice to see a handy carrying pouch in the box. Also to find out the product is washable.
Having a bit of neon green lettering helps to find them in the pouch too.
I’m glad I got these and recommend them for anyone looking for a basic Bluetooth wireless earbuds.

Impressive looking machine when I took it out of the box. Gray and black looks all business. But requires a bit more attention wiping down the black colored sides after a cleaning.
Love the idea of the included remote w/batteries.And the large dust bin really helps. I can probably use this vac on my condo flooring twice, before having to empty the bin.
Don’t like the idea of making the Samsung Mobile browser the default on my OG Pixel phone. Also the robot vac only supports Wi-Fi 2.4 Ghz band as do other Internet of Things devices. This can play havoc with some routers that do a lot of auto switching such as a high powered gaming router. Be sure to have different SSID’s for each band your router supports. That might do the trick.
Alexa and the Google Assistant is supported. For now I’m sticking with the remote.
Battery was not fully charged so took several hours to prepare for the first run.
Used remote to get it started. Heard this model robot is relatively quiet. It is for the most part but will rev up for extra cleaning. HINT: put on UR earbuds and listen to music while it’s doing it’s thing.
Intelligent mapping is pretty good. Doesn’t seem to bump into things a lot and provides good cleaning coverage IMHO.
So far I’m loving this little guy and will stick with a while.

You can do a lot with this speaker

I got this Pro Speaker mainly for listening to Google Play Music free radio stations.
First time out I put on classical music. Sounded great but a little light on bass IMHO.
Found two sound controls knobs in back. Set bass all the way up and treble at quarter loud.
Noticed in guide which came in the box, that it can be used with Karoke

Paired speaker using Bluetooth from a Toshiba Chromebook 1. Sound volume controls on top row of the keyboard adjusted sound on the speaker nicely. Also paired with Pixel2 XL and iPhone 6s.
Unit weights about 14 lbs. but has a built in carrying handle on top. A big plus for that.
Will have a relative use an acoustic guitar with unit. Mentioned to her she can use an electric piano keyboard too.
This speaker is a good home entertainment addition for its intended use and recommend it to anyone with the right devices to get the most out of it.

This mainstream gaming laptop comes with the latest 8th generation Intel i5 processor.

I prefer a speedy SSD flash storage but U can add a 1T HHD with a cage that Acer can ship to U. Too bad a cage was not included. There's also a door on the bottom of the case to let U add a memory module.
Was surprised to see a free sleeve included in the box. Have a 15.6” sleeve already but it doesn’t fit as it’s too short on the long side.
Power brick beefy looking as is the connector to the PC.
I’m not much of a gamer and just wanted a laptop from Acer, a brand I know and respect. Have one of their Android tablets, a desktop PC monitor and a Chromebook. No problems with any of this kit.

Port selection excellent as U would expect with a gaming PC.
It took one hour to reach a full charge out of the box.
I swear this laptop PC seems bigger than 15.6” but it’s been six years since I had one this size.
HP Smart was found by Win 10 to print a one page color document to my new HP Officejet 5255.
Battery life doesn’t seem to be much more than 8-½ hours without videos. Not very good.

Daughter opened today, Christmas morning, and this Acer R11 has same problem a few of the others have had according to reviews..., repeatedly turns off and on. Just my luck. Talk about a disappointed daughter! Geez. I'm a little upset to say the least. I hope exchange goes smoothly tomorrow, if there is another in stock that is.

I have owned two Chromebooks prior to the R11. I am familiar with the Chrome OS ecosystem, what it has to offer, and where it falls short.

BUILD QUALITY (3/5):
The build quality of the R11 is average, at best. It has a patterned aluminum cover/lid, but it doesn’t make the device feel any bit premium, and I wouldn’t count on it providing any additional protection to the display. The unit I received has misaligned hinges, which causes the device to rock a bit at certain angles—in addition to being an eyesore. That being said, I don’t feel as though it will cause any harm to the device in the long-term.

I had no issues with flipping the display 180 degrees. Typing on the keyboard was fine, but I personally felt as though the keys could have had less resistance or bit more vertical displacement. I had to press harder on these compared to other keyboards I’ve tried on Chromebooks around this price range.

The 11.6” display runs at 1366x768—resulting in 135 ppi (pixels-per-inch). Comparatively, a 13.3” display at 1920x1080 results in 165 ppi. The R11 display is adequate at this resolution—text is sharp enough to avoid complaining, and viewing images and videos is enjoyable.

That is, unless you’re trying to use it in direct sunlight. This display is quite reflective, so you won’t be using this much in direct sunlight. With a bit of shade, you’ll be fine. Indoors, the display is adequate and provides adequate brightness. The display is also quite reflective and is also a smudgy fingerprint magnet, which is why indoor use in moderate lighting conditions is ideal.
As for the touch screen, it works quite well. If anything, Chrome OS needs more refinement and more features to really utilize the touchscreen. Multi-touch worked without issue. However, modern web content isn’t really suited to touch screens, so it’s definitely a bit awkward to have a touch screen, at the moment.
PERFORMANCE (2/5):
I really can’t give this Chromebook a 3 because there are older, cheaper Chromebooks that outperform this more expensive R11. The Intel Celeron N3050 is really a bottom-bin Intel Atom, more than it is a Celeron. These fanless processors (aside from the Core M series) don’t come close to the U-series Celerons. Sure, you’ll get more battery life, but what is that worth if it’s a pain to use the device?
I really can’t give this Chromebook a 3 because there are older, cheaper Chromebooks that outperform this more expensive R11. With my bookmarks, caching, history, extensions, etc. that is associated to my Google account, this Chromebook could not handle more than a few tabs without throwing a fit. When I used Guest mode, the Chromebook performed adequately with 4 tabs—to the point where scrolling was not abysmal.
That being said, I had much better performance on a 13.3” 1080p Chromebook using the Intel Celeron N2840 and 4GB of RAM—which was the same price as the R11. Even Acer’s own C720 outperforms the R11.

The battery life on this Chromebook doesn’t quite stand up to some other contenders, but with light processor usage, it shouldn’t have any problem lasting throughout the day before needing a charge. However, the idle drain is not very good. For a fanless design, you would expect low power consumption when the device is idle, but you will want to turn the device when you aren’t using it for long periods of time—otherwise you will be saying goodbye to 10-20% of your battery.

Being my first Chromebook this was a brand new experience for me which made it fun to review.
Pros:
Lightweight - can use on lap without getting uncomfortable.
Good build quality - Case, hinges, keyboard felt sturdy and well built.
Pretty good battery life - not sure about the advertised 10 hours but I used in tent mode listening to music all day at work for several days (6-8 hours) and it had around 20% left.
Easy to setup - If you already have a Google account like I do all you have to do is sign in and it syncs everything up for you.
Lightweight - can use on lap without getting uncomfortable.
Good build quality - Case, hinges, keyboard felt sturdy and well built.
Pretty good battery life - not sure about the advertised 10 hours but I used in tent mode listening to music all day at work for several days (6-8 hours) and it had around 20% left.
Easy to setup - If you already have a Google account like I do all you have to do is sign in and it syncs everything up for you.
Cons:
Kind of cheap "Plasticy" feel - Even though it seems pretty well built the choice of plastic and texture for the outside makes it feel kind of cheap when holding it.
Touchpad - The touchpad was too smooth and sometimes didn't respond well to my input making me have to use the touch screen sometimes to accomplish a cursor move & click
Headphone controls don't work - In line mic with controls (e.g. click to pause music) do not work, have to use screen or keyboard.
Tablet mode not that touch friendly - I liked the tent mode for watching things but found that many of the chrome OS apps such as mail, docs, files, are not all that friendly for using as a tablet and still geared towards mouse & keyboard input.
Chrome Apps - Was not all that excited about how all of the core Chrome apps are just the web versions opened up into new tabs in the Chrome browser. Also, there is not a very good selection of Chrome OS apps in the chrome web store. I was really underwhelmed. I think it will get much better when Google finishes integrating the Play store into the Chrome OS which will open up availability to many more of the Android apps out there but for right now it seems pretty limited.

This is a decent little 2-in-1 if you subscribe to the "cloud" OS always connected model. Great for internet surfing and light productivity work especially if you are all-in with the Google app Eco-system. Don't expect to be as productive as using a traditional laptop computer though, especially when disconnected. Also until the Play store and Android is fully integrated you might be disappointed in what apps are available.

Soundbar is really a soundbox because it's compact. Rich sound from such a small form factor.
Sub woofer not very loud but tech support said they could replace it.
Bluetooth and casting works fine. WiFi enabled but don't need it.

Mesh Wi-Fi router can cause interference

I had installed the soundbar next to a Linksys Velop Wi-Fi Mesh Router. On Pergo flooring with 9' high ceiling in a family room.
Caused all kinds of problems.
Then moved to approx. 12' away from a TP-Link wireless N router. Problems went away.
My set up is now in the living room of my condo. There is a 20' vaulted ceiling. Sound still quite amazing.
Most of the time I used the built in Chromecast feature. Have casted from a Nexus 6 phone and a Chromebox so far. Soundbar is connected to my TV with the OPT cord provided.
Had the remote replaced. Testing it now. Can say the soundbox recognizes it.
Price is on the lower end of the Polk Home Theater line. I highly recommend it. Will always some gear like it on any TV's purchased in the future.

It has a built in sub woofer so the bass was good. Maybe that's why it's so big
Connected my Nexus 6 to the USB port to charge it.
Connected an old iPod Touch 4th gen. and it worked too.
Battery took three hours to charge out of the box. Had to try several
times to insert the US power adapter but eventually it snapped into place.

This is my first Roomba. Must say it's loads of fun. Did a good job cleaning the carpet in my 724 sf one bedroom condo. I say this b/c I had to clean the dust out of the bin after using it only one time. Best to use the mobile app as U can program it to clean on certain days. Also it's easier to tell the Roomba to end the job and head back to the charging base. Roomba took almost 25 minutes to clean my carpets which seemed like a long time. And I cleared away a lot of furniture and stuff on the floor before operating it. Don't think it cleaned very well underneath my bed. Maybe it will as time goes by. Also it was a bit noisy but not much more than my upright Hoover SAVVY. At this point I need more experience with it and will not let it loose if I'm not home.

Needs time to learn about UR flooring

I ran my Roomba 890 for the third time this morning. It went straight for my bedroom bed and spent a lot of time underneath it. Must have some kind of dust sensing feature for carpeting. It did, however, spend waaay too much time in the living room. Carpets there are cleaner than other areas in my condo so don't understand the logic of it.
Will keep using it until I get it figured out.

Attach the Window Mount to Circle 2 Camera and place it on any window pane to see outdoors. Watch over the front porch and driveway or overlook the backyard from indoors.

I was skeptical at first when I found this book shelf mini Hi-Fi system.
Set it up in the living room of my one bedroom condo. Have high vaulted ceiling there.
Sound quality similar to the standard, factory installed, 6 speaker stereo system, in a 2005 Toyota Prius.
Bass effect could be a bit better tho.
Have some CD’s and even audio cassettes from several years back. All played fine. System couldn’t detect my old, iPod Touch 4th Gen. I was able to play a MP3 from a USB 2.0 flash drive tho.
I used to listen to FM radio a lot. Selection of stations not too good where I live. But I can get the same content I listen to, when I’m driving.
Wish the two speakers didn’t have to use wires.
Speaker and main console fit under my TV stand. Other speaker went into my old stereo system cabinet.
Nowadays I like to stream free, Google Play Music radio stations, so can make greater daily use of this system. Pandora was also fine.
If U find this system on sale @ Best Buy for $149.99 with free shipping, U are doing pretty good IMHO.
This is a Gr8, compact sized, Hi-Fi system, for those who don’t have a lot of room to work with.
And the price won’t break the bank.
