Expensive feature-rich with mediocre performance
on May 25, 2022

The LG Cordzero “all-in-one” system is an interesting (and expensive) idea that tries to accomplish all things you’d expect from vacuum cleaners. The package includes most of the items I’d usually need for everyday use, and the impressive base station, though being quite large and hefty, is feature rich. The attachments are good, and so is the ergonomics. It is a truly multifunctional tool.
The stick vacuum itself is well designed and well-balanced. The motor, near the top end, is very compact for its power and the telescopic handle makes it very easy to use. After using it to vacuum carpets and some tile floors I didn’t feel much fatigue compared to my other stick vacuums. The roller head (Universal Nozzle) can move around to reach a lot of hard to reach places. However, with “normal” operation I felt the suction power is not that great - with my “moderately clean” carpets with the usual dog hair etc. I frequently switched to the “Power” mode (and a few times to the “Turbo” mode). This drastically reduced the battery life and had to swap out the provided 2nd battery almost all the time. Without the 2nd battery and the charging station, this would have been a no-go from the very start. Of course, this depends on what type of carpets you have and how dirty they regularly get, but for me I’d appreciate it a bit more under Normal mode. But this is a drawback for almost all cordless vacuums I have used so far. The highly-touted Kompressor technology is just a manual lever that pushes down the debris inside dust bin. This helps pack more dust before I need emptying, but more me looked like an over-hyped idea. One thing to point out that the package does not include the slim hard-floor nozzle, so maybe that would be a better head to use for non-carpeted areas. However I did not have the means to try that out.
As for the Mop Nozzle - I have to say I’m quite disappointed with it. Only water can be used as the cleaning fluid, and the speed is fixed. This made it almost ineffective if there’s a speck of dirt in my tiled floor. For my use case, it was an ultra-low-duty attachment, and would only be useful if I could use it every single day. It is very very limited in its use, so if you plan to use it be wary.
The other “powered” head is the Pet Nozzle, which lists a lot of limitations in the manual (it can’t be used with clothing, bedding, leather sofas, cushions, carpet, vinyl flooring, tiles, marble) which made me wary to use it all. There are also crevice tools and a combination tool (crevice and brush) included as well which are very handy. Using these heads without the telescopic handle effectively transforms this into a handheld vacuum that I used to clean my car interior.
The charging/base station, as I mentioned earlier, is quite big and heavy. LF provides a plastic base with rubber feet to keep it standing, and mounting kit is there to tether it to a wall if needed. I did not have an issue with it as long it was not in a high-traffic area. The station, along with housing the stick vacuum, can charge the included extra battery, and has nifty ways to organize the tools/heads. The star feature is the Auto-empty functionality that automatically cleans out the dust bin from the vacuum body and puts it into a removable dust bag. I found the feature to be very useful (especially when I’m feeling lazy and wanted to create as little mess as possible) albeit noisy. By default the station performs this auto empty procedure every time the vacuum is docked, but this can be changed easily. The only drawback I saw was that the dust bag fills up quite easily and I’ll run out of those (only 3 are included) soon.
In terms of ease of use and smart features: I consider myself a tech-savvy person and am always looking forward to trying out new techs. But this vacuum left me baffled a number of times. For the first few days, I had to get the user manual to figure out what needs to be done. That’s the price you pay for getting a “feature” rich machine, but in my opinion this may leave people a bit frustrated. The LG ThingQ app does not add a lot of functionality - it can store cleaning history and can perform “Smart diagnosis”. But since I haven’t faced any functional issues with it I can’t comment how well it can actually solve problems.
Overall, I like the LG Cordzero All-in-one system for trying to be an all-in-one solution. But I wish, for the price, I was getting a bit more performance. If you have a light-duty need this will be a very good solution, but given the price you have to really think about the pros and cons. This could have been great with the large feature-set, but its mediocre performance made it more gimmicky for my needs.

Well-built and capable mixer with a classic look
on May 6, 2022
Posted by: Jack

The GE stand mixer is a great kitchen appliance that does its job in a very satisfying manner. Even though there are more “popular” products out there that a lot of people vouch for, I found this GE mixer can do similar things with the same capability.
The first thing I noticed is how well-built this is. GE went with a “traditional” design, and thus it has a large footprint and carries a lot of heft. However, that also means when using it, the mixer is very stable. In a kitchen environment I’ll always take an all metal appliance instead of a slick plastic one.
The accessories that come with it covers all the regular operation I need - both the dough hook and the flat beater are coated, so cleaning them is quite easy. A wire whisk is there too. The quite large 5.3-qt stainless steel bowl has a handle, and can be locked in place to the mixer base. The locking is not as tight as I’d prefer, but it gets the job done. A plastic bowl splash guard with an integrated feed port makes life easier in some cases - this is the only flimsy part I found in the entire package. One good thing is that an accessory port in the front is compatible with 3rd party attachments.
The controls are fairly straight-forward. The tilt-head locks into place in both up and down condition, and when unlocked the head can be moved with one-hand which is super convenient. A single dial controls the 350-W motor in 7 steps. For my needs so far I haven’t pushed past 4 though.
The “mixing” operation is smooth - the motor seems to work fine with mixing and egg whisking work, and the slow-speed dough making was done perfectly. The motor is not the quietest out there, but it’s not deafening by any means. As I mentioned before, the mixer is very stable.
Cleaning up is not that hard - only the bowl and the whisk are dishwasher safe. Everything else needs to be hand washed/cleaned. The beater, even though it’s coated, is sometimes a bit engaging to clean.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the GE stand mixer. It’s simple to use, and churns through whatever is thrown at it with ease. The large dimension and weight maybe something that needs to matched with the overall kitchen aesthetics, but for me it fit’s in nicely with my other appliances.

Portable facial cleaner at the right price
on February 17, 2022
Posted by: Jack
from OR
The Foreo Luna Play Plus 2 is the smaller travel size version in their electric facial cleanser lineup. It is compact and easy to use, and perfectly fits into our personal travel kit. The cleaner is waterproof, so can be used in shower without issue.
Compare to it's older siblings, the Play Plus 2 has a weaker motor, and does not have app controllability. Only a power button on the back makes it work. However that still gets the job done.
After using it for some time, I can say that it is much better and easier to use than other face scrubbers. The silicone tips feels good, and purportedly are more hygenic then nylon ones (according to Foreo). Cleaning the bristles themselves afterwards is super easy, as long as I didn't get it dry and sticky.
For trying out an electric facial cleaner, this is a good entry point. The price is not too high, and you get a quality product that's portable. The only gripe I have about is the battery. It's a non-serviceable part as far as I can figure out (and not a rechargeable one - Best Buy mistakenly says there's a USB charging cable which is incorrect), so basically you'll be throwing it out after it dies.

Useful facial cleaner that does not come cheap
on February 17, 2022
Posted by: Jack
from OR
Foreo Luna 3 is the first skin care device I have ever used. And to be honest, I questioned the price for a facial massager at first. However, after using the product almost consistently for more than a week (with my wife constantly reminding me), I can see some visible results. So yes, it is not an overpriced electric sponge - it does what it says.
The build quality is very good, and the black silicone construction, while feels soft to the touch, is very durable. It conveys the idea that this will do fine in water and in shower. I have been using my regular facial cleanser with this (I haven’t tried the included micro-foaming cleaning sample), and as long as I can have some lather it works fine. The set time for each zone of the face is a helpful guide, and the noticeable pulse to remind me to change position is great. The back can be used as a facial massager as per Foreo, but I haven’t tried it much.
The Luna 3 came with a USB charging cable and a travel pouch, and some sample serum and cleanser were also given. A companion app can be used to control/set it up via smartphone over Bluetooth. Interestingly, the product needs to be “activated” via app at the very first, but I have no idea why they had to make this mandatory. I’d rate this as an inconvenience.
In summary, if you’re willing to spend some money to get a better and guided face cleaning experience, the Foreo will not disappoint. I will continue to use it everyday as I have been getting good outcomes.

Electric brush with a unique whitening feature
on February 10, 2022
Posted by: Jack
from OR
The Snow electric toothbrush differs from the other electric toothbrushes out there by not only cleaning teeth, but also providing whitening function by the built-in LED light. That’s the feature I was mostly interested in after getting this brush. Unfortunately that may be a long term effect as after using it for almost a month, I am yet to see any noticeable difference. Now that may differ from person to person, since in my case my teeth did not need any noticeable whitening to begin with.
Other than that the basic functionality of the toothbrush is as what it's supposed to be. The “sonic” technology seems to work quite well in cleaning. The button let’s me choose from 4 different modes - clean, white, sensitive, and polish. I have tried out all four, and did feel the difference in the vibration. I don’t have super sensitive teeth/gum so I’m not in the best position to judge whether “sensitive” mode is effective or not.
The timer is useful to make sure all parts of the mouth are given equal attention- there’s a noticeable change in pulse to indicate I have done my 30 second brushing for each “quadrant” of the teeth so I can fully utilize my 2 minutes and do my due diligence.
The brush has a fairly long lasting rechargeable battery, and comes with a wireless charging base. However, only a USB charging cable is provided in the box - no charging brick. Now I understand the trend to get rid of “redundant” USB chargers (yes indeed I have a number of them lying around), but since I want to charge my toothbrush in the bathroom, I have to keep one near my sink which is not always ideal. I wish for the price being charged for the toothbrush a well-designed “bathroom proof” wall charger would be appreciated.
The kit comes with two “LED” brush heads, so that makes me supplied for the next 4-5 months, and I found the replacement brush-head price decent. I would appreciate it more if there’s a cheaper “non-LED” option just in case you’re not interested in all these whitening functionality. A cloth travel pouch is also given, but I wish I had a solid travel case instead.
In summary, the Snow LED electric toothbrush is more relevant for people who want to use the LED whitening feature. Other than that it doesn’t have anything that set’s it far apart from regular electric brushes.

Basic fertility tracking thermometer
on December 2, 2021
Posted by: Jack
from OR
The Beurer Basal thermometer is a basic thermometer for tracking women’s fertility cycle, and is a great inexpensive step towards pregnancy planning. It is more precise than a regular run-of-the-mill thermometer and can show upto 2 decimal places. The product is well built, and has a flexible tip for convenient usage. A protective cover is included for easy storage and hygiene.
For tracking the fertility cycle, the Ovy smartphone app is needed, and all data entry is manual i.e. the thermometer itself has no sync feature. As such, it is sometimes cumbersome, especially in this day and age of connected devices. It’s very easy to forget to punch in the daily data especially during busy work days.
For the price, this is a decent specialty thermometer.

Entry-level gaming laptop with decent performance
on October 9, 2021
Posted by: Jack
from OR
The low-to-mid tier gaming laptop market is booming right now and every vendor seems to be offering something to fit different needs. And given the current prevalence of work-from-home, the use of gaming laptops has broken into regular non-gaming use cases as we are spending more and more time in front of a screen.
Dell G15 5515 “Ryzen Edition” provides a decent package in this market segment and checks a lot of the right boxes. The combination of a AMD Zen 3 hexa-core CPU, albeit the lowest spec one of the 5000-series, the 5600H, with a Geforce RTX 3050 (with 4GB dedicated graphics memory) makes up an interesting package. Both are entry-level at best, but for a large swatch of people the performance to price-point is worth looking into. Aside from that the Kingston-sourced 512 GB SSD is a decent size in terms of storage, and the performance of this drive is quite good. There is another M.2 slot available for expansion, and both the slots support M.2 2230 and 2280.
For memory, there are 2x SO-DIMM slots supporting DDR4-3200 with a maximum of 16 GB per slot (i.e. 32 GB in total). The unit came with only a meager single 8 GB memory, so out of the box the dual-channel capability is unused, and in this day and age it’s annoying that Dell has decided to ship a “gaming” laptop with only 8 GB RAM. I’ll probably expand this into a 8+8 GB or even a 16+16 GB pretty soon.
A Killer AX1650X supporting WiFi 6 (802.11ax) is included, and can be upgraded as well. It’s still useful to have an Ethernet port to be able to plug-in and get the best network speed possible, and I appreciate the fact that it supports the 2.5 Gbps standard. 2x 2 W bottom-firing speaker, driven by a Realtek ALC3254. The speaker's performance is mediocre at best. For meetings and music I relied on my headphones all the time.
The matte 1080p 120 Hz LCD gives away the fact that this is a laptop that’s built to a price-point. Response time is not that great (35 ms according to Dell), and the color gamut is average. My daily driver is a Dell XPS 13 UHD, and that makes the difference more distinctive. There’s a 1080p 165 Hz display that supposedly has a better color profile and faster response time, and I’d definitely compare that before making a decision. Both display options have no touch functionality.
The choice of ports is standard. Aside from the ethernet port, there are 3 USB Type-A of different types (2.0, 3.1 etc with one featuring PpweeShare). A USB Type-C with Display port capability is there, along with a full-size HDMI. The placement of some ports on the back is convenient for better cable management. The 160 W charger plugs via a barrel connector like similar powered laptops. The power brick is big and bulky as expected.
Though the G15 takes a lot of design queues from Alienwares, but the plasticity build ensures you'd realize this is budget unit at once. However it seems the thermals are not comprised at all by the price cut. Stressing the CPU spins up the fans to quite some speed and loudness. Some aspects of it can be configured by the Alienware Command Center. However I could not find how to enable the signature G shift feature via that software, and always had to rely on the Keyboard shortcut. Also I got a lot of annoying messages that some features were missing in this laptop. Initially the software seemed buggy but that got better with subsequent updates.
As usual Dell plants a bunch load of bloatwares which makes the initial impression upon setting up not the best of experience. I understand some of this software is needed to keep the laptop trouble free, but I wish I had gotten some choice during initialization.
Gaming performance is average as expected. The Ampere-based RTX3050 provides entry-level ray tracing, and with just 1080p the frame rate is not bad for Control and Fortnite. I was able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator in medium settings which was a good upgrade from my previous gaming laptop sporting a GTX1650Ti. Overall I’m quite happy, given the price, for casual gaming. Another good thing is it supports Nvidia’s DLSS, which I’ve heard a lot of good things about, but unfortunately haven’t tried out in depth yet.
In summary, I believe this is a good laptop for the value, and provides more horse-power than Intel-based models at the moment. Though both the Ryzen 5 5600H, and Nvidia RTX3050 are entry-level components, they provide some good horsepower for occasional gaming and better performance in day to day work-from-home related work.

Decent portable BP monitor with terrible app
on October 5, 2021
Posted by: Jack
from OR
For people who suffer from irregular blood pressure, a blood pressure monitor is a must have device. The one I have been using so far is the traditional cuff type system, which though quite accurate, needs to be set up properly, and sometimes another pair of hands is necessary to get a tight fit. That’s why the Beurer BC57 wrist-mounted blood pressure caught my attention.
The unit is well built and the size is very convenient. The cuff size is perfect for both me and my wife and we could get a tight fit without much issue. The controls are simple - the power button immediately activates the measurement, and after it’s done the “M” button lets me choose the user (it can remember 2 users in total), and also uploads the reading to the app via Bluetooth (given that you are able to enable it). The front face has a handy visual scale to get some idea whether the pressure is in the upper or lower end of the spectrum. The pulse rate is also displayed, along with a sign if the monitor detects arrhythmia, which is very helpful. Finally, 2 AAA batteries power the unit so there’s no need to recharge (which is both good and bad).
In terms of accuracy, the unit is very close to my larger cuff-mounted monitor from Omron. But the measurement is very much dependent on the cuff position and fitting. Some trial-and-error helped me figure out what’s the optimum position for my wrist, and after that I was able to get some consistent results. I will always take the absolute measurement with a grain of salt, but the convenience of using this helps me keep track of my pressure regularly. I think that’s on par with other wrist mounted devices in this price point.
With all these conveniences, the accompanying “Beaurer HealthCoach” app is a big letdown. It does what it’s supposed to do i.e. let you sync the measurements to the app, but the path is full of thorns. The instructions to do this are very unclear. There’s no pair functionality which makes the process super confusing. Worst of all, the Bluetooth functionality can be enabled only during the setup process, and the only way to do that is to remove the battery and go through the initialization again (like setting up the date and time etc.). I wish it was more user friendly, and feel that most users will be put off using the app with the current process.
In summary, the Beurer BC57 is a decent choice as a small portable easy to use wrist-mounted blood pressure monitor. But the app is terrible, and that’s what you need then look elsewhere. Otherwise it works well as a standalone unit.

Unique speaker solution with mediocre performance
on October 4, 2021
Posted by: Jack
from OR
The Sony NB-10 wireless neckband speaker is a unique solution for those who want a personal audio experience without putting on a headphone. And in some cases, this speaker does do that, albeit with some sacrifices.
The thing that got my attention most was how light it is, and how well made it seems like. Even though it’s made with a mix of soft-touch materials and feels quite flexible, it is well put together and you can feel the quality of the finish. It has an IPX rating so is convenient to use without a lot of fuss. Overall, “wearing” the neckband is not uncomfortable at all, and I got used to it pretty quickly.
Setting up with Bluetooth was a breeze with my Android smartphones, tablet, and a Windows 10-based laptop. Especially whenever it’s ON and near my phone, a notification pops up to connect to it. Also the Android “Find my Device” seems to work when it’s connected, so it can ring - this helps finding it when buried in a mess.
As for connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5.1 and a theoretical 30 m of range. However, it only supports SBC and AAC audio codecs - no aptX or LDAC which usually offers higher fidelity. But this point is mute due to the limitation of the speakers.
With all these bells and whistles, I was looking for a decent listening experience, and that’s where I found this neckband speaker lacking. I got an impression that this will provide a good “private” experience, but that’s far from the truth. Just like a speaker, even though the sound is focused upwards towards my ears, everyone else in the room was able to hear what I was listening to quite clearly - even with a very low volume. Obviously it was creating less “disturbance” than my regular bluetooth speaker, but still it’s far from “personal”. As for sonic performance, it was mediocre at best - voices from podcasts were good and clear, but any type of music sounded muddy. Worst of all, I couldn’t find any way to change the EQ settings. Sony boasts it has passive radiators, but from the muddy to almost non-existent bass I am not convinced.
Another thing that I found to be disappointing is the dual connectivity feature. I was enthusiastic that now I’ll be able to use my laptop and my android smartphone simultaneously (without disconnecting/reconnecting), but in actuality, I couldn’t use the 2 systems in the same manner. Only 1 can be connected as a headphone, while the other must regress back to the Bluetooth Handset profile. Thus I could only get music from my phone, and headset facility from my laptop at the same time - I couldn’t take a call on my phone with this setup. This was a big letdown for me and I ended up giving up this feature.
In a nutshell, this is a well-built and designed product that does not reach its full potential. I hope future iterations will be better and make it more useful. For now, I’ll stick to my headphones while I share my work-from-home space with my spouse.

The Rexing V5 Plus is a complete package needed for recording incidents in the car. It is a 3-piece system consisting of a front, cabin, and a rear camera. The front and cabin camera is housed together, while the rear camera is a separate unit that needs to be wired to the front unit.
From a design point of view, the Rexing dash cam (front unit) is pretty large, and I had a hard time finding a good spot on the windshield of my truck. Especially, since a large area near the rear-view mirror is occupied by the safety sensors. This, and the particular share makes it quite difficult to mount it discreetly. I have tried multiple places, but never found a place that hides the camera from outside view. Other dashcams (especially the wedge shaped ones) are easier to do so. Furthermore, the position of the cables (1 for power, and another for the rear cam) does not help at all.
As for the video quality: the front camera offers 4k resolution, but I kept it at 1080p, siding with a higher frame rate. The overall video and images from all 3 are adequate. The cabin cam has a purplish tint. The rear camera is ok. Overall with stock settings, the videos look ordinary - it gets the job done in terms of clarity, color etc., but nothing to be blown away withI didn’t fiddle much with the settings yet as I was trying to test it out with “out of the box” settings so I believe there is room for improvements.
Mounting and setting up went without a hitch from the camera point of view. The included mounting hardware is straightforward to use. However I wish the instructions were a little more elaborate.
The Rexing V5 offers WiFi connectivity via the Rexing Connect app. For a couple of days I couldn’t connect it to the camera at all. However, an app update seems to have solved this issue. The app is good for video viewing (including a live view), but not all the settings of the camera can be controlled by that - this is a major bummer for me as I wish I could change those without fumbling with the on-camera buttons (which is not easy while it’s mounted).
Overall, I’m happy with the Rexing V5, as it offers a good package in this 3-camera system. WiFi connectivity is a good added bonus though the app has limited functionality. The video quality is workable with default settings. Definitely something to consider if you’re in the market for a 4k dashcam.

Constant buzzing noise
By Jack
Bought the TV because for the best features in the price point ($314.99+tax). Looks great, and picture quality is quite good. However, there's a constant buzzing sound whenever the display is on. Tried to troubleshoot, and contacted Vizio. They said they can send a replacement, but with an older model (E420i-B2). Instead, exchanged it for a new one at Best Buy. The buzzing sound is a lot less now, and will observe and update review if it persists. Would have been a great value.

Update: 06/14/15
I liked the TV so much that I exchanged it for a 3rd time. However, that annoying humming sound is still present whenever the backlight setting tweaked. Best Buy couldn't do anything about it, and Vizio did not provide any suitable solution (again offering the older model as replacement).
Thus, sadly I returned it and got a Samsung (UN40J6200) which was on sale for $50 more. No humming/buzzing nonsense, and picture is pretty good. The set, however, is not as sleek as the Vizio (a lot thicker bezel, and depth is bigger too). Hope this will workout finally.

Actually, it was my first guess too. But I tried a number of scenarios, and in all cases what I observed was that the buzzing is somehow correlated to the backlight (like the noise changes when the screen is all dark or all white). Also, all three exhibited the problem when I took them back to the Best Buy Geek Squad counter. The fact that both Vizio and Best Buy tech support asked me to exchange the sets without even mentioning any troubleshooting steps worried me that maybe there's no easy solution.
Somehow, I got my hands on three defective units. Bad luck I guess.

Excellent TV for the price
By Jack from Raleigh, NC
I got this TV from Best Buy a few days back, after getting very disappointed with a Vizio E40-C2 (had it replaced 3 times, but a humming/buzzing sound is always there driving me nuts).
Initial thoughts: The picture is pretty good. The design is not minimalistic as the Vizio, and its a quite thick TV. The only complain is out of the box, the picture looked terrible due to very poorly done calibration. Had to spend a lot of time to get a well-balanced picture.
Smart hub is OK, and a bit better than what Vizio had to offer.
A fair bit of googling indicates that it uses a native 120Hz panel made by Samsung themselves. The picture is also more legible in a bright room compared to the Vizio E40-C2.

After using the TV for more than a week, all I can say is the TV is performing just the way I wanted. The only drawback I found is that the Samsung Smart Hub software used is an older version (2014), not the new 2015 'Tizen' based one. The apps are also very slow. So if Smart features are important to you, make sure you look into this carefully before buying. I don't mind because I only use the major apps (Netflix/Amazon), and the sluggishness does not bother me.

@MiketheD:
I don't think it's related to my room or anything, as the Geek Squad person also heard the buzzing sound and thus suggested to try another TV

Get a new take on security, with the latest indoor 1080p FHD Wi-Fi security camera. Small and lightweight in design, this camera gives users the flexibility of multiple placement options along with a simple set-up and installation process. See more and know more with an ultra-wide 135° diagonal field of view and night vision capabilities. Pan and tilt to cover larger areas so you don’t miss out on the most important details. Be aware when you’re not there with person detection technology, which will notify you when a person is detected.

Is this camera good for streaming/ use with Zoom? It says "Security" camera but I do not want a security camera. I want a camera that can work with Zoom and stream live with remote control app over wifi.

This is not a camera compatible with "Zoom" the online meeting service. Rather it has digital zoom to magnify the video.

How do you control the volume

There's no dedicated volume control button, so you have to rely on your phone/device volume controller

mophie powerstation mini: Built to keep your smartphone full of power throughout the day to help it keep up with your busy lifestyle, this charger fits right in your pocket, and has a protective metal outer band.

Voltage input? 100-240V ?

It's charged from a stranded 5V USB supply (PC USB port or other standard USB charger) so the AC voltage level is irrelevant.

Hear yourself in the studio with these Audio-Technica ATH-M50x AUD ATHM50X monitor headphones, which feature 45mm large-aperture drivers for faithful sound replication. The 90° swiveling earcups allow comfortable 1-ear monitoring.

How well does this work plugged in to a desktop computer?

I have a Mac Mini that is use for music mixing. Will these work with the headphone port, or will the sound be too quiet?
I use it with my laptop (Lenovo Ideapad) audio out, and it works fine. You may opt for a dac/amp if you want better performance.

Can these be worn while I walk or jog?

I KNOW these are advertised as studio headphones. But could they be worn while a person walks or jogs?
I use them while walking, but maybe I'll refrain from using them while jogging/running. The size of these headphones are not "small", so I'd feel very awkward while jogging with them.

Does the TV stand only fit in one position?

Does the TV stand only fit in one position? Or can the two pieces of the stand be moved inward towards the center of the TV and fit into other positions of the base, so that the TV can rest on a table that isn't as wide as the TV itself?
No, the stand only fits in one position.
