A NICE UPGRADE TO THE PREVIOUS MODEL

I had the previous model of this Honeywell Thermostat, a green background with black text. This new model is a nice upgrade to that unit and I'll explain why in a moment. Please know that the upgrade path from that model to this model took only minutes, because the wiring issues were worked out last time and the labels/and inputs are the same, just in different spots. The screw holes are even in the same spot so re-mounting the new one in the old spot was super easy.
As for what is nice on this upgrade, the silver looking bezel, color screen, humidity level inside, the temp and humidity outside, and the much easier sized touch screen area to work with. It is overall smaller, but the areas to touch are so much easier to select. Programming is such a nice improvement - programming is so easy on this new model.
If you review the pictures, you'll see how much nicer the new unit looks, but also how it is easier to read. The older unit was nice, but the little print was hard to read.
With these units, the online access is amazing, allowing you to change the temperature through the app or the web. You can also change the system from heat to cool, or from cool to heat, etc. The system can notify you if the temperature rises above or below certain thresholds, if humidity is too high or too low, or if the system loses contact with the monitoring center online.
After years of already having a Honeywell smart thermostat, I found my heating/cooling bills were a less as I used scheduling to turn the heating/cooling up and down vs. doing it manually all the time. You can count on saving money, because you get used to a certain set of temperatures vs. when you set it manually, it is easy to turn it up alot or down alot as sort of an impulse change vs. a schedule.
Reliability of this has been amazing, and the value is paid back in convience, if not in utility bills. A quick story comes to mind over this summer when the temperature in our house went to the point where I have a notification set for, and because of this timely alert, I was able to get my A/C service company out - it was a Friday at 3pm and they happened to have someone in the neighborhood - this timely alert saved me from sweating all weekend until service came out on Monday.
If I had a wish list, it would be that the outside weather forecast, which can be viewed through preferences, would show on the screen as maybe an alternating screen to the current temperature settings. I would also make the backplate just a bit bigger, like the older model, to make it a tad easier to wire. However, the wires are much easier to install, because of the press in wire sockets vs. needing a screwdriver. You can also remove the wires by pressing in on them with a ballpoint pen tip....very nice touch.
In settings, you can also provide an offset, if you find you are used to a slightly different temperature or humidity level, so the system can adjust using this offset, and display the temperature as you are used to it. I found the temperature and humidity seems to match the multiple temp and humidity sensors I have scattered around my house.
Buy with confidence, this is well worth the money, and I remember from my last one I put in, their tech support was superb when trying to work out my specific wiring concerns (heat pump with emergency heat). I didn't need tech support this time, it was an easy upgrade path.

When I first got this, it was for a specific need, for an outdoor event that needed some music and the ability to use as a PA speaker. It does that. And it does it really well.
Remember this is a SONY product and what SONY product have you ever bought that wasn't a seriously decent item? It is built as solid as a rock, is just under 2' tall, and nearly 12" wide and deep, and weighs just around 17 pounds. This is all about heavy duty construction, great speaker components inside, and a decent battery. This is not a mini speaker, and will excel in ways you never imagined possible.
Over the years there were speakers that had some kind of lights. But they were always disappointing. The lights on this speaker are no disappointment - and I can only say you have to see them to appreciate them. There are white highlight lights that provide definition and there are color lights that go around the speaker. More about this later.
The sound quality from this is unbelievable. Even at higher volumes, there is no distortion and only top quality music or voice. Bass is strong and treble is decent.
Whether you have a party, speaking engagement, or something else that requires big sound, this is your speaker. You can power it via an electrical outlet, or use the battery that is built in. The battery can provide alot of time, or not so much, depending upon the volume. I found that at mid volume I was getting over 10 hours of music from it. Very decent given the light show and decent amount of sound coming from this sound system.
There is an app you should download, if you want to take this to its fullest potential. You can go into DJ mode, or change the lighting. Yes, you can do all the hip-hop DJ moves like scratch and echo, and you can pick colors to display on the speaker. Some of these things can be done by flicking your wrist, due to motion control. Very cool!
You can link multiple speakers together, for a synchronized playback with lighting and sound, but I didn't have an extra speaker(s) to try this feature. It would be cool I'm sure.
You can also pair up to 3 phones via bluetooth, so more than one person can put forward some tunes. You can use NFC to connect, or use USB and plug in your device that way. You can also connect via RCA connectors for input and output. And of course you can plug in a microphone.
The speaker has big handles built in so you can comfortably pick this speaker up and take it with you - it is heavy, but it doesn't feel like it because when you carry it it, the handles are comfortable and balanced.
If you want a big speaker, give this a try. I love the lights, the sound quality is amazing, and it can be a multi-platform device for meetings, parties, etc. Best Buy has such a decent return policy, if you don't like it you can return it - but I'm sure you'll find yourself wishing you had more than one as I do!
Oh yes, I almost forgot, it can be a speaker phone too - so at a party, or if having a meeting, it can be a way to hear whomever you are talking with on the phone so everyone can hear.

A very nice twist and a welcome change in a razor

I am that person who cannot stand having 3 or 4 different "tools" for basic haircare. I use an electric trimmer for my hair, and a different one for my other hair things like neck trimming and such, then another to shave each day, and have one for when I let my face hair grow too long for the razor.
Well, this solves all of that with a single tool. And I have wondered if someday this would happen - I'm glad to say this works, and it works well. I've shaved with it directly against my skin without any issue at all. It has 2 sides, so that I would expect this would last at least 4 months, I'm assuming it will last longer.
But with the single adjustable attachment, you can set the height and go - be it the hair on your head (can take awhile though, it is a narrow blade compared to traditional hair trimmers), your sideburn hair, neck hair, or remove the attachment and shave.
It provides a very decent and close shave, similar to that of other electric razors.
I like the design, solid feel, and I really like the digital readout of how much battery power is left (in a percentage). There is a charging stand, or you can simply plug the transformer into the bottom on the razor and charge it without needing the stand.
By far, my favorite razor and trimming tool, all in one simple easy to use package. Even if I need more blades, I'll welcome not having so many different tools taking up valuable space in the bathroom vanity.

I'll tell you that I'm a music nut, and I love this speaker.
Now, let me say that I've listened to, own, or have owned some very nice and not so nice bluetooth speakers. I love music and often try out speakers hoping for something better than what I have. Let me clarify that I don't buy $700-$1100 speakers, I'm talking about the $150-$300 speakers. I never found anything better than what I had, until this!
Let me start by saying this is a very stylish speaker. Generally people notice how it looks first, then notice the sound second. That is part of the problem having such a good looking speaker. I am not that way, I look at sound first, and looks after that, but since we are on the topic, let me say that this one is a bit darker gray than in the picture - and has a beautiful gold colored control panel and a really cool brown leather handle with gold fasteners. I'm guessing this is one of the most sought after speaker color combos.
This speaker has a real electrical cord that plugs into the back of the speaker, and it comes with not one, but two. It has a place for you to charge your phone using your phone's charging cable - a very nice touch to be able to charge while listening. And it has the much appreciated aux in jack, so you can plug in a 3.5mm standard mini plug from your satellite radio, ipod, etc.
Turning this on and pairing was something you won't need to read about. Press and hold the power button, press and hold the pair button until the bluetooth light flashes, connect, and you are good to go. It really is this simple.
This unit has a very long battery life though I haven't had enough time to test it - it is rated at like 30 hours or something. But if it gets 8 hours I'm good. So far, its holding up well. And you'll see there is a door on the bottom of the speaker, with special screws, so you can likely change the battery when that day sometime comes.
The build quality is nothing less than suitable for royalty. I'm not kidding. It is amazing, amazing, amazing. Solid. And it feels heavy, but in a good way. I felt like I was carrying a $100,000 violin or something, as it is balanced, elegant, precious yet sturdy, etc. Top shelf.
Where this speaker shines, above and beyond anything I've ever listened to, is the sound quality. There are two visible tweeters and a visible woofer. You'll feel the air pressure coming out of the hole in the back of the speaker, which is exhausting of the bass.
The highs are perfect, and the bass is something I've never heard from any speaker in this class. But the more amazing part is that no matter what I hook up to it, it makes it sound better than it does on other speakers. No kidding. Satellite, Ipod, streaming, etc. all sound equally amazing with this speaker, something I've never experienced before with any speaker.
I'm very critical of speakers, because I love my music. It might be Frank Sinatra, Beethoven, Aerosmith, Blake Shelton, or even some show tunes. All of these sound amazing on this speaker. I thought I knew what was a decent sound before, but I had no idea how great my music could sound on this truly amazing speaker.
It isn't as small as you might think, in particular as bluetooth speakers have tried to get smaller and better sounding - our baseline of what size these should be has shrunk. But make no mistake, this is worth every bit of space it takes up and you will not regret buying this speaker. Frankly it is as much a decoration as an amazing speaker! The long battery life and USB charging port are only a bonus.
Funny, I would have thought this speaker was a $700 speaker, based solely on sound. And I did blind sound tests. This was by far the best of the many speakers I own; I did this because I could not believe something so affordable could sound so amazing. It is true, it is really amazing.
Thanks for developing a speaker that looks and sounds great but is also affordable to those who really want the best sounding speaker available.
I only wish I could include more than 2 pics with this review, because seeing it is believing, but hearing it will be the main selling point to you.

Oh yes, the packaging is also top shelf, a box that is worth holding onto because this is something you'll want to pass down to someone in your family some day. It takes something really special for me to feel this way, and I'm very critical, but this has sold me.

THE NINJA TRADITION OF GREAT THINGS CONTINUES

I've been a fan of the Ninja products and have enjoyed my Ninja coffee system since it first came out. A juice machine later, and now this.
Just got this today and I've been playing around with it since it arrived.
First up was to chop up some chicken from one of the pre-made chickens from the grocery store - but it was cold from being in the fridge overnight. It cut through it without even a pause. I've been doing this with a smaller food chopper and it struggles when the chicken is cold - not the Ninja!
Then, I could not resist to try to mix cookie dough and that worked well. It sounded like it was working hard, but not struggling. My older hands cannot mix cookie dough by hand like I used to do, so I've found this to be a huge help in making my own cookies and not always buying the already made dough. This is a small thing for some, but I love to make my own cookies.
I blended up a fruit smoothie, and added in ice, for a real smoothie/snow cone type drink. No problem on this either.
I'll do more with this tomorrow but at first blush I could not ask for anything more. I'll learn more I'm sure, I haven't used a true food processor since the "big one" came out in the 80's, I think? This opens up a world of new things to make that I had not considered before.
The base changes the buttons based on which attachment you use. I think this is really cool and how it does it, I don't know, but it is cool.
Space is very limited in my modest sized house and counter space in the kitchen is so limited that I choose appliances for that coveted space very carefully. This Ninja unit has a space and because it is so versatile, it will be staying there for the long haul. This unit is large, but not any larger than a blender and that can only do one thing.
I'm impressed with the quality of this - it feels solid, the blades are sharp (almost too sharp if hand washing them) and it stays put on the counter while I was doing all of these things today.

Having an Iphone and wanting to make sure you don't lose any photos would require an Icloud backup or using Itunes to backup your phone, until now!
I'm so worried about family photos that I would try to remember to do multiple backups (ICloud and ITunes) although I usually failed to do the Itunes backup.
This allows you the ability to keep on doing your Icloud backup BUT without even trying, you are backing up your photos and contacts to this device, which has a SD card inside. This is happening simply by plugging in your phone to charge it....I found that even if I close the app, it knows when it has been plugged into this device, scans for new things to backup, and then backs them up. Simply put, this is amazing.
You can also use multiple phones with this device, it'll store separate files for each phone connected to it. This is equally amazing. And one more important thing, when the card gets full, you can remove it, put it into your computer, move those files to your computer, put the card back into the unit, and it will continue to backup from where it left off. I would recommend each phone have its own unit, with enough memory to match the phone's memory. (I.E. if you have a 128B phone, you'll want to get the 128GB model).
The unit feels solid, has some weight to it to prevent from falling or moving, and has a large rubber pad on top to allow you to feel confident your phone won't slip off the unit. And lastly, it allows you to wrap the cord around the unit so it looks nice and neat. And it does.
The box has the unit, and the microUSB charger needed to power the unit and charge your phone with your supplied lightning cable (Iphone).
There is nothing more I would have asked for of a unit like this, it will keep your photos and contacts backed up, by doing nothing more than plugging in your phone to charge at night.
Well done SanDisk, this is something I never would have thought of but is so necessary and comes with the trust of the SanDisk name.

I've used many projectors for work over the years. I've never used anything like this.
The unit is packaged so nicely and carefully as to prevent damage, but also that you can re-pack it if you ever had to....a first in these many years!
Opening up the box, you'll find a power cord, the projector, a remote control, batteries for the remote, and a users guide. I powered it up and started looking around in the menu. I was astounded at the number of things you can do with this projector. Amazing!
DId you know this can reside on your WIFI network, that you can download the app, scan a QR code that appears on the projector's image, then connect painlessly? You can be a moderator on the app, and share your mobile device's screen - you can do pics, docs, etc. So, no computer needed.
You can also plug in a USB memory stick that has a slideshow on it and start playing it, without the need for a computer. I'm amazed at the processing power of this machine.
Of course there are many ports, including HDMI ports that are common today. Lots of ways to connect to this.
The picture projected up onto the wall is nothing less than amazing. It is a high quality, no pixel, not washed out image. It is something that until you see it in person that you can believe. The image is bright, dense, and not washed out nor pixelated. It is unlike anything I've ever seen.
This will work great for not only work presentations, but also for watching movies at home, and I've even now considered getting one of those blow up screens to play movies in the yard.
In all of my years of life experience, I would never have considered having a projector for home use, until now. Whether it is a video game, or one of the wildlife shows I enjoy watching, or even an animated movie for the kids, this can fit into all of those situations.
Years ago, these were thousands of dollars, with a washed out image, and big blocky pixels. Now, for less than the price of a nice big screen TV, I can project bigger, and better. Again once you see it, you'll appreciate it.
Remember Best Buy as an awesome return policy, but you won't need it, what you'll need is someone to help decide who gets to use it for their purposes (shows vs. video games vs. movies).

Not just for gamers, in fact you should know this!

With more than one gamer in the house, this caught my eye right away. I've seen and tried routers for 4K TV's and also routers for other specific purposes, but not one for gamers.
It comes nicely boxed, and well packaged to prevent damage. Each of the antennas is nested inside of a hard foam area to make sure it doesn't fall out of place. Same with the router, it sits in a specific spot. And the foam sheet keeps the power supply and network cable tucked away underneath.
So, once I got it out and the four antennas hooked up, the network cable plugged in, and the power supply plugged in (the power supply barrel connect fits VERY tight so it doesn't come unplugged accidentally - thank you!!!!), I looked at the booklet to find out the login information to join the WIFI portion, then the admin login.
I'm from a mindset that if I have to read anything about a product, then it isn't worth it or fun, so I get frustrated as I'm a tech type anyway. This needed no reading of the manual (which you have to look at online) and was online in a matter of just about 2 minutes, maybe 3 minutes max.
The best part of the router, in my mind, is the dashboard after you login to the admin console. It is so amazing. It is showing you the amount of network traffic, up and down, devices connected, speed test, and all the rules you'd expect to see like port forwarding and other rules. Most will probably not use this stuff though, but it is there. You can also name your 2.4 and 5.0GHz WIFI bands with different names, or you can use a single name - I find the two names is helpful, so if I have a device like my Iphone with an Apple Watch and am supposed to connect at 2.4, I can without fail.
The real difference with this router is the ability to prioritize your internet resource to gaming computers. The Killer Engine technology tells the router it is one of those things, so the router can prioritize bandwidth to that computer that is doing gaming - very cool.
But, as a parent of gamers, there are times that Dad needs to prioritize bandwidth to my work computer when I work at home, my Planet series on Netflix, and other Mom and Dad stuff, so the kids gaming computers won't always be given priority - you can pick devices to move up the priority list, and not others. It isn't parent revenge, but it is the first time I've been able to make sure Mom and Dad have what we need for work and for movies, and not allowing the gamers to always have priority. The ability to change between modes isn't hard to do and can be done within seconds vs. minutes or hours.
Range is good, I was able to get signal all through my townhouse, and even to my Ring doorbell, which has been a challenge in the past.
Speed is much faster than my existing router setup, and PING was fast at 16ms. I have 50/50 and was getting 57.75 down and 61.35 up. I wasn't getting that on my previous router.
One other feature I really like was the ability to put in a file that allows the VPN to run at the router level, instead of all devices having to run the VPN separately. That is important, because I know everyone doesn't remember to turn the VPN on like they should.
My only wish is that this had incorporated smart features, such as inbound IP blocking. I just purchased a separate device to be a hardware firewall to prevent unwanted attacks on my IoT devices. And to offer a lifetime of updates would be helpful too, to prevent more out of packet expense.
This router is amazing and has found a new place and purpose in my house. If you try it, and it doesn't do all that you need, you can return it due to the very generous return policy at Best Buy, which is why I get so many things at Best Buy - I once returned over 6 laptops looking for a really good one with a good trackpad - not one person at Best Buy ever complained or said I could not return something.
Anyway, props all around, this is a great device!

A GOOD FIRST RUN ON THIS, AND A GOOD ALTERNATIVE

When I got this, I had very high expectations for this, and it checked off many boxes, but is missing on a few things.
It is packaged well, and arrived in tact and without any damage at all. The box contents allow you to be able to get everything out without being a puzzle if you had to put things back for some reason.
The vacuum comes partially charged, so you can get started with it right away as the book describes. A fully charged battery, which is removable, allows for 20 minutes of run time - I got more when not using the powered floor head. The detachable battery will aid in keeping the vacuum for years to come, because you'll be able to replace the battery easily - and I'm sure they'll sell more of them so you can charge one and be able to go more than the rated 20 minutes. Nice feature.
The LED lights, on the powered floor head, and the handheld unit itself, are one of the smartest moves in a battery vacuum of this style. The LED's are a bit dim for the job, or maybe they aren't aimed properly, but they do aid in finding the stuff you didn't know you missed. I am so glad Bissell came up with this, and to be honest, this makes it worthwhile all by itself.
I found the disconnect of wants/tools/attachments, while easy enough to do, seems a bit tricky until you get used to it. It uses a ring you slide up and pull apart. Putting these back with a proper alignment also takes practice although they did include some arrows to aid you in this task. Nice touch, thank you!
Emptying the dust bin will require you to stop and detach the tank, empty it, then put it back into place. I'm a bit worried about the snap off and snap on tank situation, but I'm also going to trust Bissell has tested this enough because I've had nothing but great luck with Bissell products over the years.
There is a washable filter, and that is a nice touch, but I didn't find it to be a hepa filter which would have been a plus for a pet vac.
The accessories are all geared around the pet theme, with the felt that grabs the hair and allows that to remove hair from objects in which hair sticks to them, like carpets on floors of cars. And also some of my furniture. This is a nice touch - not one little strip but many, and that made a big difference in removing hair from surfaces.
There is no 'trigger" to pull and hold on to keep it running - it is a simple on/off switch at the top of the unit - and that is a huge plus. There is no high/low speed mode, but really, I don't think you need it. It has plenty of suction and does the job you expect it will do.
On carpet, I found it didn't really have enough weight in the front to bite down into carpet for deep cleaning - instead I see it as more of a surface vacuum with enough suction to get some of the dust/dander out.
As for laminate or wood floors, it is a perfect fit. Same with doing car vacuuming. And since I haul my two dogs in my car, it needs a major cleaning each week - this handles this task well, and I was a little surprised because each week i get alot of dust/dander/fur out of the car and other batter vacs have struggled with this. The attachments and the unit make a very nice unit for both the car and hardwoods.
I wish the LED lights were brighter and/or aimed to see more of the floor where I'm vacuuming, but I'll go with it.....it is better than taping a flashlight to it, which I've done up until now, on my current vacuum.
Please know that I have high expectations for a vacuum, probably much higher than others. But I also have two long haired dogs that create alot of dust/dander/and fur. And I mean alot. This has features like a way to easily remove the roller and clean it, which is really helpful. And you can do other things like wash out the filter and tank. So, you can clean this easily - and since it is a pet vac, that is always a necessary thing.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants a vacuum that is battery operated, cleans well, and who does not want to spend more or cannot afford to spend more. It works well, and I'm sure those little changes will eventually come into a new design - but they aren't enough to make you not buy this today.

When you first open the package, you see a bunch of stickers with install steps. This is not hard to install at all, just take time to plan your install and how you will route the wires so you can place everything within reach of the front dash to mount the cradle and the cigarette lighter plug.
Once connected, the little white light blinks a bit and eventually locks on solid, which means it has latched onto a cell signal and is working properly. You can slide the cradle open to accommodate something as large an an Iphone 7 PLUS with an otterbox defender on it (my main phone) but also an Iphone 4 with no case on it, and everything in between. The cradle has a spring loaded slide, so it can slide open to accommodate, and hold tightly, any sized phone.
The cradle mounts to the air vent with a perfectly engineered vent mount that has a magnetic mount to hold the cradle in place. The mount holds the cradle tight, it never moved at all. But in addition, if you want to hold your phone while it is in the cradle, you can simply remove the cradle from the mount and hold the phone while it remains in the boosted cradle.
The antenna is small profile and holds firmly using the magnet in the base - the base has a paint protector built in, so it doesn't scratch the paint - a nice touch.
The cigarette lighter plug has a USB port on it, so you can charge your phone via usb cable while the unit is plugged into your cigarette lighter plug - and the cradle is built to allow the charger to be plugged into your phone (bottom center) so it can charge while in the cradle. Smart.
As for performance, I used it with AT&T, Tmobile, and Verizon. In all cases I noticed 1 to 2 bars of signal improvement, sometimes more. More importantly though, I did a speedtest.net test to see if the claim that it improved data speed was true. It is true. Without, I got 70Mbps download speed and 5Mbps upload, using AT&T. With it, I got 83Mbps download, and 13Mbps upload speeds. It did this in multiple tests and was consistently in the same range, which proved that while in the cradle, it was definitely faster.
The final test was a place that always drops calls with AT&T and Tmobile. I drove that area and found it was able to hang on and switch towers without getting a dropped call. That seals the deal for me.
If you are in a good cell coverage area, you'll find your battery life and data speeds are improved. If you are in a poor coverage area, you'll find it is improved with this unit. In poor coverage areas, it could be the difference between being able to make a call or not, something that I think is a good deal even if you don't use it all the time. Rather than risk not being able to make a call, and having to walk to get signal, this might be enough to get you signal for a call. But in good coverage areas, typical dead spots were not an issue.
In case you were wondering, I spent many many hours driving around with this, testing both with and without using the booster. I also tested using different carriers, and it definitely made a positive difference in all cases.

I got this camera for keeping an eye on my parents, they are older and at risk for falling and other issues, this camera has already paid for itself ten times over! Not only does it give you a sense of security, it also gives my parents a peace of mind known that they are not alone and are being watched, unfortunately my father has fallen twice in the time I bought this camera, it allowed me to see him on the floor and I was able to race home to help him up, if it wasn't for the camera who knows how long he would have been laying there. The picture is not perfect but more than good enough, I actually leave it in Night Vision mode and the picture is great, also the microphone is impressively good. You are able to rotate the camera via your smart phone or computer, it's a little slow but over all I have no complaints. Well worth the money, I went out and bought 2 more for the rest of the house, the smart phone app is very easy to use, set up was a little bit of a pain, I'd say 1 hour but again, not bad. Honestly the best thing I have bought in years and I buy a lot.

Is this a self-propelled vacuum? Is there a Bissell that is?
Not self propelled but is easy to maneuver because it has such a strong beater bar that kind of pulls it along. Bissell does not make a self propelled model that I am aware of.

This has a single cylindrical filter that is not washable. You can however, vacuum the exterior of the filter, to increase longevity of the filter.

Can you disable audio recording for these?
You can turn that feature off, but can also turn on the privacy shield to turn off video and audio by using an actual physical filter. Or you can simply turn off the mic function and nothing will be recorded. You can keep the speaker function, in case you want to say something, but turn off the mic function so your conversations won't be overheard.

How do I look up past recordings on the camera
In the app, you can go to the recorded library of images. If you don't have any, I'd ask if you set up any of the rules to get this to record. If not, you have to set up the things ou want to do and when, to get it to record. This is somewhat easier said than done, but it is better than it used to be. Contact tech support for help if needed.

On the Arlo Essential, can the IR be turned off? I’d like to position it behind glass.

Can i use old a9 by attached A9 wet mop unit
I'm sure you can, as long as it is the same connection. The mop unit just swirls the cloth pads around and drips water out so it can be a kind of wet dust mop. It uses the power from the wand to do it. But it does not vacuum up anything, when in this mode.
