Definitely a next generation Robot vacuum!

This Roomba replaced a 5 year old robot vacuum and wow they’ve come a long way! First off it was beyond easy to setup. Literally unpack the box (all preassembled) and set the base/bin against a wall or in a corner where you want it, plug in, and put the vacuum on the base charger. Then download the app and you are ready to vacuum. (You can even skip this and just tap the clean button and start vacuuming, but the app is sooo worth setting up).
So what can you do with the app? Lots!
The mapping feature is great. It took about an hour to map our main living floor of living room, dining room, kitchen, office, and a bathroom (about 1250 sq. ft.) Once it was done it put itself back in its dock and let me know it was done. Now for some of the cool stuff – once you have it mapped you can use the visual map to quickly set “don’t touch” areas (excellent for the dog and cat bowl) and I also set it to only go halfway under 2 pieces of furniture and the couch so that it stays away from lots of plugs and cables, etc. You can also easily move the room demarcation lines around to segment off rooms and then name the rooms so that you can tell it just to vacuum one room or if you have a few rooms with high traffic (LR, DR, Kitchen in our house) and set them as a group as a favorite. It linked / paired easily with our Google home – “Hey Google vacuum the living room” and off it goes.
The app was very simple to use and it walks you through everything. I did the room config, favorites, the don’t vacuum areas etc. all in about 10 mins.
Then just set it to clean when you want via schedule frequency for it to just do your favorites say every other day and then full clean once or twice a week, etc.
Roomba has been doing this for quite a while, so no issues with it handling not falling off stairs, avoiding obstacles, etc.
So far it has only got stuck once between an area rug and the couch at just the right angle, but it pinged me in the app and said it was stuck in the living room.
Cleaning is working well, picks up both our thicker dog hair and thinner cat hair on hardwoods and low pile area rugs with ease. I like the self emptying feature so you can set and forget for a while, but a con here is “now that you’ve got the printer, you need to regularly buy the ink cartridges” aka the vacuum bin bags. We’ll see over time how that adds up.
All in all though impressed with the app features and ease of use and like this next gen robot vacuum.

Great sound & noise canceling while traveling!

Very easy to use and simple to setup. The app and Bluetooth connected easily. The LG Tone App is very intuitive and lets you set all kinds of things like noise canceling, eq with multiple pre-built eq choices, and multiple BT connections for easy switching between phone, tablet, etc.
Ear buds are comfortable for my ears and the default size buds they shipped with by default were the right size for me. (I have average size male ears). There are additional sizes to accommodate larger/smaller ears. Once they are in - they stay put. I found them a tiny bit awkward to grab to remove since they sit so well in your ear and don’t protrude much, but I’m sure I’ll get used to popping them out.
Tested out the noise canceling on both a flight and an office environment they worked just as well as my over the ear high end noise canceling head set. I wore them for 3+ hours straight and they were comfortable.
Watched a movie and the sounds and voices were very clear. I tried all kinds of different music types from jazz, hip hop, rock, dance, reggae, etc. and they all sound great.
Calls were good and people did not realize I was wearing Bluetooth ear buds. I really like that you hear your phone call audio in both ears (I have an older headset that’s just the right ear bud and I prefer these.)
The case charges them when not in use and the case is nice and small and easily fits in a pocket. Overall very pleased with these and I’m now traveling with these vs. my bulky over the ear head set.

Excellent option for Flight Simulator!

This joystick is cross-compatible with PC and Xbox. Setup for PC it is very simple, you just plug it in, switch it to PC mode and you’re ready to play, simple as that. This flight stick has a throttle control on both sides so you can use one of them for flaps or something else like speed brakes. The trim wheel is great for small props, if you’re going to fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
There are a lot of buttons for any toggle like gear, flaps, parking brake, etc. I’ve tested this flight stick for a few flights and overall it’s buttery smooth.
Throttle control is great and responds well to quick adjustments to speed on approach.
A nice thing for Airbus pilots is that they have little marks to the throttle about where to put the lever for the Fly By Wire system. I really like the fact that you can use reverse thrust on this, it’s very satisfying every time you pull back when you land and engage the reverse thrust.
There is a trigger for airplane shooter games or it could be just used for anything else like brakes (the trigger in Microsoft Flight Simulator is used as brakes by default)
One note on the app for the Microsoft Store noted in the quick start guide - this app is only used for firmware updates and nothing else. But recommend loading so you can check every once in a while to see if there is an update.
You can set options like sensitivity, lighting, performance, trim wheel, etc. I really like the ability to change the lighting on this flight stick (note there are just 6 presets – it would be nice to have full customizability on the lighting, but their combinations still look good)
The headphone jack is nice for Xbox play and you can actually edit the presets for the performance of the audio which makes it a better experience.
Only 2 things where I could see improvement – The joystick base could be heavier. Sometimes when flying making quick turns the base will sometimes tilt which is not good because it can definitely impact the flight. The other is when you twist the flight stick you have to put more push if you want to make a full turn for the rudder. It’s a bit stiff, but I’ll probably get used to it over time.
Overall very pleased with this upgrade over my prior flight joystick.

Easy setup & easy to ride kid's scooter

This is super easy to setup and assemble. Literally unfold the front handlebar stem slide into the base and tighten 2 screws on the stem coupler with the included allen wrench. That’s it. Then just charge and go.
I wish the charging cord was a bit longer, but it reaches a plug when charging right next to an outlet. When it is charging, there’s no lights on the scooter itself but there is a red light on the charging pack that changes to green when it’s done charging.
Note that the included manual mentions using the rear bumper as a foot break and discusses inflating the tires, but there’s a separate placard that comes attached to the scooter that says “Do not use the back fender as a break. It’s only for removing debris” Also for this particular model it’s got solid tires that don’t need inflating (nice maintenance free!) and simple single hand break for stopping.
It looks a little small but it feels rugged and well made. Size wise it’s made for 6 to 12 year old that are under 130 pounds per it’s specs.
It has three speeds, but of course our rider likes it on the “fast speed” - he is 8 years old.
It’s super easy to collapse and very light weight. It is only 16 pounds. It has a little kickstand and a pretty small footprint overall which makes storing or putting in the car to take to the park easy.
Note that there’s no headlights or taillights so it’s definitely not made for riding in the dark (it is a kids scooter after all). It does have a reflector on the rear.
There’s no app or additional setup needed. Pretty much just press the power button to turn it on and just hit that button twice to change the speed modes from slow, medium, and high. There’s a right hand finger control for acceleration (similar to most scooters) and hand break on the left for breaking. Like most scooters you have to put a foot on it and kick to start and once the rider is moving pressing the accelerator kicks the drive on.
Overall pretty impressed with this little scooter.

Rugged kid’s tablet

Got this tablet for our 4 year old nephew to replace a broken “less rugged” tablet. This one comes with a kid friendly rugged protector that seems like it will do a much better job protecting it from drops and bumps.
He really likes the large pen that it comes with for coloring and selecting things on the tablet.
The fold out stand works well although it is a bit difficult to flip out for small hands (maybe because it’s new).
The Kidoz app is great to limit the usage to just age appropriate content. Videos play well and there’s a fair amount of content between the Kidoz app and the store.
The tablet is Google Android based and you need to create or use an existing google account if you’d like to download any additional apps/content from the Google Play Store. We like that there is controls to prevent in-app purchases.
From a speed and performance perspective, it isn’t blazing fast, but videos play well and this is a relatively inexpensive tablet, so not expecting blazing speeds.
This tablet should last a lot longer with it’s rugged protection!

Great speed and hassle free 2.4ghz, 5ghz, 6ghz!

I mention hassle free 2.4ghz in particular because many of our Wi-Fi light switches and plugs require 2.4ghz and they all connected flawlessly! (these have given me trouble with other Wi-Fi systems)
These take a bit of time to setup, but well worth it. Give yourself 30-60 mins to setup. Each of the 3 units (1st one becomes main and other 2 are extenders) takes 10-15 minutes to setup and update firmware. You need to put them near each other for the initial setup and then move them to their final desired location after setup. The app was intuitive and easy to use that walks you through the initial setup.
Pro tip with upgrading/replacing any Wi-Fi – setup your new network with the same name and password! This will save you a ton of time not having to reset up every device, tv, tablet, Wi-Fi plugs and light switches, etc. on your network.
I tested speeds before and after in multiple spots of the house. Huge speed improvement! For example, in my office, my old Wi-Fi was pulling 79 maps down and with this system I jumped up to 176 maps down! (My ISP throttles upload speeds so no change on upload for me).
Only thing I would have like to have seen is additional hard-wired ports on at least one of the 3 devices. I had 3 things hard wired into my old router and these only have 1 network cat 5 per unit. I did have to buy an inexpensive small port extender to use at the main router to work around this, but if you don’t have any hardwired devices this won’t be an issue for you.
These are a bit pricey, but with adding more and more internet connected devices and streaming this is a great upgrade. We’ve got over 60 connected devices (pc’s, tablets, phones, printers, lots of Wi-Fi switches, tv’s, etc.) and speeds are great.

Nice lightweight and powerful stick vacuum

This Samsung vacuum is very lightweight and has an on/off button with a simple +/- button to increase/decrease suction. There are 3 levels of suction and the low levels are good for a pet bed or area rug that wants to get sucked into a regular vacuum.
It is also only 44" tall which is great for smaller or older person to manage it.
It does a good job picking up pet hair. We have a cat and a dog and the nozzle tool did well cleaning the cat bed and drapes.
The motorized hand tool is useful for smaller spaces and it’s pretty powerful.
The battery life seems good. I used one “dot” of power for the living room, pet beds, drapes and kitchen so I expect it will last long enough to vacuum the entire house in one charge.
The initial charge took about 2-3 hours to get a full charge. We will wall mount it so it stays continually charged and ready, the wall mount comes with it.
Recommend this for someone looking for a good, lightweight indoor vacuum that has all the attachments you need for basic cleaning.

Legion of Laptop Boom

Game On with this very sleek, modern, and slim profile. It’s amazing they get this graphics power into just a slim package.
The graphics are sharp, crisp, and fluid on games. Flight Simulator feels like I’m looking out a window at an actual landscape. The picture quality is amazing with movies too and built-in speakers were great on their own while traveling.
I wanted the larger monitor and at first I was concerned it would be too big overall for my desk or for portability. While It IS large at 16”, I think it’s worth it. I have dual monitors on my desk, but I’m happy to say the larger monitor is fantastic when traveling or not on my desk.
The setup was fast and easy and includes some free stuff like McAfee and free trial access to Xbox game pass.
It’s great to have a dedicated numeric keypad and the key touch is good - responsive and quick but feels natural. The integrated mouse touch pad is very large and responsive as well.
Did I mention earlier that IT IS FAST? Faster than any laptop I’ve ever had.
Nice 1TB SSD drive gives you room for quite a few game downloads.
WiFi 6 is also awesome! Internet speed test was ridiculous 390 mbps down and we only pay for guaranteed 200 mbps. Much faster downloads on this by far of any of our other pc’s and laptops in the house.
While not inexpensive - definitely worth the price so far!

Great portable "360 sound" waterproof speaker

Fun little rugged waterproof speaker. Good size for clipping to a backpack, bike basket, or a SUP.
Sound is very good for a small speaker. Granted you are not going to get a ton of bass in this size, but it sounds great for its portable and rugged purpose.
I love the round "360 sound" that projects in every direction. We attached it to my wife's rear bike basket and both she and I could hear it great with me pedaling behind her (something this speaker does way better than the mono-directional speaker I had on my bike).
It is definitely rugged, waterproof, and FLOATS! (see pics) It's now also our hot tub go to speaker and sounds even better bouncing the sound off our back lid.
While it doesn't sound spectacular while actually floating in the water, I envision this being perfect to clip to the deck of our SUP or use in a kayak and no worries to recover it if it comes loose because it floats.
It has an outdoor "boost" option/switch at the bottom, but I liked how it sounded much better without that option enabled. Still was plenty loud!

Heavy duty and compact charger

Nice and compact charger with foldable plug prongs that make it ideal for travel as it doesn't take up much room in my laptop bag.
It has a very heavy duty cable and definitely feels much more sturdy than any other charging cable I've used including even those shipped with a device. The 6’ cable length is great for reaching about any plug or using in car to reach the dashboard, etc.
I also appreciated that it comes with an attached velco strap to keep the cable tidy while traveling or while charging.
It charged my iPhone 13 Pro from 30% battery up to 100% battery in 1 hour and 40 mins. It also worked just fine charging my iPad Air (I just didn't do a length of time charge time with that device).
Note that this is a USB-C charger and requires USB-C male cable to connect to it. A USB-C to Lighting cable is included. (If you wanted to use another cable that wasn't USB-C on one end you would need an USB-C to USB adapter etc. if you wanted to other charging cables with the plug adapter.)

Overall a great case as long as it holds up! 1st one got a crack at the power button within 2 weeks. The plastic there is just too small/not sturdy enough and I barely used it. You almost never even use the power button because it automatically comes on and off when you open and close the case. Lots of others had this same problem. On my 2nd one - 2 weeks in (so far so good, but being really gentle with it just in case.)
Otherwise a great case. Good viewing angle, great form factor, super light so it doesn't bulk up your iPad air. Keyboard takes some getting used to and keys are in weird places, but much better for typing than the on screen keyboard. Nice slim package, lets you type better, easy access to the camera, power, and charging port. Good viewing angle. Note the only slimmer full case was the OEM Appple iPad full case which I tried 1st, but it was worthless. The only viewing angles on that one were basically flat and 90 degrees so not usuable at all. Go with this one instead and careful with the area of plastic by the power button.

A few days after I wrote this review, the 2nd case broke in the exact same spot at the power button. Again, never even used the power button as it isn't needed. Serious design flaw. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

No it is not GFCI, but most places require outdoor outlets to be on a GFCI in that circuit so should be covered by your GFCI outlets. No, it turns both plugs on/off simultaneously. Not sure on it's temperature rating. Didn't see any details on that in the manual.- only that it is IP44 rated.

No. Single sided scans and printing on this model. Check out the MFC-L3770 if you need duplex scanning and printing.

I’m confused. How/ where does it get ota channels? Is there an antenna that comes with it? Similar to the digital antenna I use now for local channels? Or does it get the local ota channels and stream to device via the internet?
If you have an OTA antenna already you will be all set. Just unscrew the OTA coax cable from your TV and connect it to the OTA AirTV adapter (included with this item.) Then it will show the locals right in the AirTV/SlingTV same guide.

Apartment use. Currently have a TimeWarner modem router and an extender in living room. parts of living room are slow and gaps. will these replace the modem router and will range be better?
I would say yes. Our speeds tripled in the areas of our home that were slower (3rd floor and basement) from 20-27mbps to 63mbps.

I have a house built in 1930 and it is 1000 sq. ft. up and 1000 sq. ft. basement. I have 2 wifi extenders because of the solid brick and plaster walls to pick up better signal in dead areas. I currently have a Netgear 55 router. Would this work better?
I would say yes based on my results. Before I installed the Orbi I ran 5 separate speed tests on my laptop in various parts of our home. (3 story house - 2700 sq. ft).
I ran tests from each floor on my existing router (TP Link WR1043ND - a 300Mbps Wireless N Gigabit Router). Speeds averaged 43.76Mbps down and 4.35Mbps upload.
After I installed the Orbi, I re-ran the same speed tests in the same locations and speeds now average 62.83Mbps down and 5.80Mbps upload. Significantly faster!
The 2 spots in the house - top floor and basement both went from 28.56Mbps and 21.72 to 64.33 and 63.46 - so much better coverage and the Orbi's base + satellite coverage now provides equal coverage thoughout the entire home.
