Even though one can already guess the outcome, all the bad guys die and the president and his rescuer win, the film still moved along fast enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. What is going happen next? There is a surprise at the very end, but no spoiler here.
In this movie the close kin in a daughter while in the other, it was a son. Both however have the same result.

It seems if cars are to be driven fast, they have to crash. The closer the camera to the vehicle in a crash scene the better. In this film the camera is right there. There was little if any CG effects. All the cars crashed in real time. The interaction between the driver and his passenger was decent. After a while they finally warm up to each other. Together they work as a team to further their cause.

A well done story based in Japan. A number of fine fine Japanese actor participated in this film and were outstanding. During this movie we see a Wolverine who can suffer physical pain in addition to all his previous and current mental anguish. His interaction with the soon to be new company CEO is touching.
The story is left open for yet another episode.

What's not so great: He realizes he can't keep the new girl friend.

A super Saturday matinee popcorn movie. The special effects were believable and the story moved along pretty well. In order to be a good show for me I prefer a happy ending which this film had. If one likes cars and mechanical things, you should like this show.

A good "catch the bad guy" show

Though the professional critics did not really care for this movie, I thought it was fun. A good mix of action, humor and law enforcement was seen here. Needless to say the story line shows the contempt the Feds always seem to have when they interact with local law enforcement. Big government is not always better. Local people know better their needs.
I enjoyed the funny lighter moments this film had.

All in all, a well filmed and well developed story about the particulars of gathering and then analyzing information. The primary woman investigator and analyst was relentless in her pursuit of her target. Though sifting through info can be boring, the director moved things along to keep the viewer involved. This was a fine job and very well acted.

What's not so great: Some of the torture was too graphic.

A good story based on the history of an actual mountain family. The situation face by people in old America, seems far different than from today. In those days life was difficult and many times one could not trust the system. Thus the law was in the hands of ordinary folks. This however, did not always insure justice would be done. This film displays this fact very well. The film moved along fairly well. The DVD extras are worth watching.

The last Taken ended on a happy note, singing lessons. It appears the daughter did not make the cut since this next episode finds the family in Turkey on holiday. Given the revenge mentality of some folks, the story takes us on another "let's get this guy because he killed my son" saga. Never mind the son was an unrelenting murderer and human trafficker.
The story moves good . Mr. Neeson is great actor. He just needs a script to match his talent.

One of the many Greek mythology movies making the rounds. The classic "simple soul" who has been wronged goes to war against overwhelming odds with outside help to even the situation. Of course the story line has to have the "hot girl", who just happens to posses some uncanny power to help the "simple soul" achieve his goal to right injustice.
It could have been less bloody.

This story picks up smartly from the previous story. It then lends some humor with the new half-brother to Percy. This new character is not one of the beautiful people that seems to pervade the camp population. Though rough and sometimes clumsy, he is likable since he comes off as more normal than the other camp prima-donnas .
The large question mark at the end is: does Percy also have a sister?
