Sadly Screaming Trees never became big and famous like other Seatlle bands. This is super good stuff. And has its own identity because it sounds different from nirvana, alice in chains, and soundgarden. Mark Lanegan is a great singer. No wonder why he is on several queens of the stone age albums. This also contains the great song "Nearly Lost You"
This is the 2nd full lenth of one of the most important metal bands ever. This is some serious old school underground metal. Musicially this is already top notch which led them to a deal with roadrunner records. The only problem is the production is a little scratchy like a demo but for this kind of music it didnt distract that much. The perforrmances are vicious
This album is an underated influence on new metal. Now this is good depends on if you like new metal or not. The single from this cd remains excellent. That would be the track "Unsung". But this cd is very samey sounding.
when listening to this cd its hard to believe its not from the 70s. the music sounds very 70s and the lyrics are about 70s pop culture items. This is not terrible but not really what I was looking for either
Social Distortion is one of those bands that gets talked about alot but having listened to this I'm not sure why. I found this to be quite boring except for the first two tracks and the last two tracks
This is a very good ska-punk cd. My only problems are that this style is so restrictive and this cd is a little too long for a punk cd. Still Rancid does this style better than most
this is powerful angry music with a righteous anger toward how the media determines what is beautiful and how everyone should look. Musically this stoner metal with hints of goth and industrial
I bought this because it was cheap and I like napalm death. this is a covers ep so im sure the idea was to record some favorite songs and just cut loose which would be fine except that napalm death is such an innovative group so this comes up a little short. "maggots in your coffin" rules though
this is pantera's criminally overlooked record. this thing is a monster. the vocals sound like the singer is standing on your toes and screaming in your face. pantera also display a radical departure in the song "suicide note part 1", it is acoustic guitar, keyboard, and vocals
