In my opinion this is one of the best albums of the 80s. But not enough people know about this album. This has killer songs and is the heaviest album they have done. This album contains the immortal classic "I love it loud". If you are not a kiss fan you might like this. It's that powerful
So much of music is done to make money so many artists compromise themselves to make money and their music becomes souless. Listening to this cd I can tell Jerry Jeff Walker does music for all the right reasons. And because of this, these songs are excellent and timeless
I will start off saying I'm a fan of the Meat Puppets. But this I did not like. To me there were no memorable songs. The production also could have been a lot better
This is a covers album by Slayer with 2 new tracks that were never recorded back in the day. They attack the songs as hard and sometimes harder than their own songs. And it sounds like they are having fun making this album. These songs are so fast and brutal just like Slayer should be
This was released shortly after the deaths of Joey and Dee Dee. Ones enjoyment of this album will depend on what you are expecting and/or wanting. I say this because several artists have done the songs in their own way. The most radical being the Rob Zombie and Tom Waits cuts. There are only 3 songs imo that sound just like the originals. These are, not suprising, the punk bands. Green Day, Offspring, and Rancid sound almost the same musically as the original versions. Another thing that is good is that the artists have reached pretty deep in the Ramones catalog. So if you are ok with bands doing interpertations of the songs and not straight covers then this is a cool cd to have
This is a unsung record by an unsung band. This did have a minor rock radio hit in 1994 with the song "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck". This is expert thrash/hardcore. This stuff pulverizes. And it even has some softer songs to break the intensity somewhat. This band never made it big and I don't know why. This is a record worth having for a metal or hardcore fan
This is Unsane's comback album. Listening to this its like they never left. They have always done their thing and still do. If you like stuff like Today Is The Day and old Helmet, you should give this a spin
Steve Vai is an excellent technical guitarist. It seems he is not that good of a songwriter though but maybe its just me. This is an instrumental album but I still expect to remember the songs and I only find one to be memorable. That is the song 'Juice'. It was a radio single when the album was new. And it is an excellent song. But that is not enough to buy this album in my opinion
This album is excellent. Voivod have been known as excellent boundary pushing muscians for quite some time and this release is no different. Their original guitarist died prior to this release which is sad. Piggy was an extremely underrated guitarist who was never afraid to incorporate jazz like techniques into heavy metal. This cd is ridiculously cheap. Anyone who likes metal should pick this up
What's great about it: excellent muscianship, unpredictability, price
