Great to see these guys are still out there but they''re a little rough around the ages. I was surprised to hear Eddie's guitar was as sharp as it was though.
I've never heard anything that tops this album in the history of recorded music and the remastering of this new edition is superb! The bonus disc is worth having but no big revelations.
This set contains every episode from the third season of White Collar, a show about a onetime con-man who works with law-enforcement officials in order to bring down various criminals.
White Collar continues to be refreshingly different from everything else on the boob tube. The principle actors are fun and their interaction is slick and stimulating. The concept is clever and well executed.
Scarlett continues to impress in her development as an actress. The premise though somewhat far fetched is thought provoking and the action is fun. It was unpredictable and fast paced.
I miss the vinyl. Not because of the crackles and pops but because it captures a burst of ideas and concepts in a shortened format from a brief moment in time. We can see Seger's evolution from album to album and the synergy of his thoughts with complete uncut album releases. To break them down to "greatest hits" and i-pod singles makes me "feel like a number". Experience these songs at their best in the context of the album they were originally conceived to be a part of.
Howard Shore is an adept composer with many years of high marks. I have all of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings soundtracks because I'm a completest and I enjoy the music. Yet I would have welcomed more variety instead of carrying on previously established themes so closely. The Billy Boyd song is especially pleasing since it steps away from what the rest of the soundtrack sounds like.
