The complete third season of The CW superhero series The Flash, following Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and his blinding speed as he continues to ward off enemies in Central city. All 23 episodes of the third season are included, as well as bonus features and deleted scenes.
Hard not to like this show and its lead character, he's so sincere and good-hearted. Throw in a great gallery of rogues and supporting team members and it's a terrific evening. Having said that, Flashpoint was a disappointing detour (go big or don't go) and they need to dump half the speedsters and focus on some other super abilities.
This is a fun show. I recommend turning off your brain and just enjoy the fun character interactions and the villain of the week. View it with the fam.
The songwriting was well done and the performance sincere but the target audience still seems to be high schoolers to me. I was hoping for more world view and less relationship view.
The chronicles of James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he rises in the ranks of the Gotham City Police Department and develops a unique alliance with playboy philanthropist Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), slowly becoming aware of Wayne's secret life as the masked vigilante Batman. All 22 episodes in one Blu-ray collection.
Gotham continues to be the best of all the DC Universe shows with the highest production values and the most unique tone. As exciting as it is to see these characters develop and as strong as the acting is, I felt the love interest pursuit of The Riddler by The Penguin was more than I was interested in seeing... not that there's anything wrong with that...

The complete first season of the HBO period drama Vinyl starring Bobby Cannavale as Richie Finestra, a record label executive attempting to save his company amidst the musical turmoil of New York City in the 1970s, while balancing his hectic love life, substance abuse, and the pressure to find the next big hit. Co-created by Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese, Rich Cohen, and Terence Winter, Vinyl co-stars Olivia Wilde as Richie's wife, Juno Temple, Ray Romano, and James Jagger.
Vinyl shows another interesting side to the music industry and the birth of several music styles. Inside the record company, powers clash and scramble to stay relevant in the music biz. The series fails when it tries to mimic artists we already celebrate but succeeds when it creates new material.
