I won major “husband points” with this case. My wife had a bland clear “flea market” case on her phone that was turning yellow with age. I knew she would love this. Sure enough, as soon as she saw this her phone jumped cases and she was thrilled! Her iPhone is blue, so with the purple and metallic details it has a floating 3D look which is kinda trippy to look at. Definitely competes with the “brand name” cases they sell at overpriced mall kiosks. Clips on perfectly and is well built. Hopefully the longevity is there. Her last one went yellow in a year. The cutouts for the ports and vents are perfect. I highly recommend this for people that want to add some dignified bling to their iPhone without the use of tacky stickers.
Packaging was adequate. Cardboard that was easily placed in the recycling bin, earning me more “husband points” compared to just tossing it on the ground and hoping birds would use it for a winter nest. My wife said she’d definitely be open to getting insignia branded cases for future phones now.

I’ve only recently gotten back into gaming, but I’ve gone full in… Xbox series X, ps5, and several gaming rigs. On top of that, I have everything “smart” that is “smartable” … 2 TVs, receiver, lights, fans, car charger, etc. Before I had been using a Mesh system with nodes throughout the house, but my biggest issue was the nodes kept disconnecting randomly. Got very annoying very quickly. Also it was very slow for gaming, with average ping latency so high that any game faster than pong was unplayable. This router does an excellent job of directing and micromanaging bandwidth so I can play Call of Duty on the Xbox and my wife can stream 4k Netflix in the bedroom with no slowdown whatsoever. Consider me impressed. It’s signal bubble covers the same area as THREE mesh nodes, without any loss. Funny anecdote… I took it out of the box and was wiring up the 4 antennae when my wife commented, “it looks just like the bad guy from the hobbits movies before he became an eyeball!” Yes, dear…. Yes it does.

Crispy chicken fingers and fish sticks in minutes!

This is a really quality fryer. Used it twice now. Once for some battered fish and again for spicey chicken fingers. Simple beer batter and fish, then cracker crumbs, spicy mix, and chicken strips. Was fantastic! Easy to program and cooked perfectly. Cleanup was simple. Gonna plan on frying okra and zucchini fries next week. Controls were pretty intuitive. My wife loves the stainless steel look. It matches all our other top tier kitchen appliances.
This really feels like it’s built to last. The construction is solid, and it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy. I see this lasting several years with thorough cleanings and proper storage. It’s a good investment piece.
I’ve had good experiences with this brand in the past. That positive streak continues. I can see this air fryer being used for steaks, chicken breasts, Cornish hens, fish fillets, and so many other culinary delights. Even better, it’s healthier than frying in oils or lard. Tastes great AND healthy! That’s a long term win in anyones book!

This is easily the best tv of 2022 for dollar/value ratio. After spending about 15 minutes calibrating the picture (definitely turn off eco mode and have all your hdmi signals set to enhanced) the tv rocked the most amazing picture I’ve ever seen on a tv less than $2200! I’ve yet to put this tv in any situation it couldn’t handle well. The blacks of a Batman movie or Black Panther? No crushing. Fast movement of lightsabers? No stutter. HDR processing is the best Hisense has ever done. Audio quality is fantastic for a tv, complete with a built in “subwoofer”… Those looking to pass Atmos or DTSHD to a surround sound system this tv supports eARC through HDMI. IMAX Enhanced offerings from sources like Disney+ give you full screen, full resolution picture that easily rivals the theater experience. You’ll never pay $12 for a movie ticket again. This is the tv for people that want an oled but not the oled price tag or burn-in. It’s well worth every penny of its retail price and a steal at sale price!

Had this for a few weeks attached to our home desktop computer. Works very good after a little calibration tweaking. Found it to be a tad to small for me, but it’s perfect for my wife. She LOVES it a lot more than our previous humongous gaming mouse. She liked it so much that it was home for only a week, and soon it ran away to her computer in her office cubicle. She loves the LED highlights and responsiveness. She brings the mouse home with her to use on our home PCs for her RPG gaming. It makes her happy so I don’t complain. The mouse is definitely a good fit for those with smaller hands. The wheels and buttons click with a solid responsiveness typical of Logitech, and it it has EXCELLENT battery life. Other than it’s smaller size, there isn’t anything bad about this mouse. It fits in a handbag perfectly for portability and the bling catches the eye at the office or at a Internet cafe. It’s a welcomed change from all the black or gunmetal products you usually see with gaming peripherals. If you want to earn some points with an important female in your life, consider this thoughtful gift instead of a vacuum.

Great monitor, but has a few issues.

I love the look of this monitor. It looks amazing! I have it on my gaming table next to my ps5, an Alienware laptop, and my Kef sound system and it fits right in with all of them. Colors pop vibrantly, the blooming is kept to a minimum (still there in certain instances) and the menu and app integration are fantastic. I love the rich detail of the menu you can access without needing a computer. So many layers of tweaks and adjustments for various settings. It really is a huge step above the usual color, contrast, brightness of every other monitor on the market. It autocalibrated to my ps5 upon detecting it. Playing games on it look a lot better than my old 32” LED tv. HDR highlights are vivid, and motion is smooth. My only issue is with some games showing banding in gradations like the sky (for instance Elden Ring). I couldn’t get the banding to go away and it wasn’t on my LED tv, so it’s not the game. Otherwise it’s a great monitor. Word to the wise, however… get a good set of headphones or speakers because the 2W speakers on this sound like the cheap earphones that would come with a kid’s cassette player. They sound very flat and almost harsh.
As a productivity monitor I have no issue at all. Editing video comes off without a hitch. It’s very similar to the $$$$ studio monitors, but at half the price or less. Definitely a fantastic first product in a hopefully long line of Sony monitors.

Best Android watch on the market today.

Let me start by saying I’m both a tech junkie and a watch lover. I love all sorts of toys and smartwatches are no exception. Out of the box pairing with my Samsung phone was super simple, and allows the full usage of all the health apps and sensors. Pairing with the non-Samsung required downloading apps and drivers and you lose some features, but the watch still works fantastically for daily real world uses either way.
I primarily use this for keeping tabs on messages, emails, and step counting. For those three things, this seems right on the money. Heart rate and steps counting seems fairly comparable, with neither definitely being more accurate than the other. Battery life is where this really shines. It holds a charge all day with 30% or higher still available by sundown. Charging is super quick as well on a 10w usb-c brick. The screen is easy to read, and the apps cover just about anything you’d need on your wrist. There are several great Samsung phones out there and the watch5 pairs with them perfectly.
Highly recommend this watch as both a quality fashion accessory as well as a fantastic life assistant. Once I switched from Bixby to Google Assistant, the smartwatch easily interfaced with my entire Google Home and extensive network of Google apps and services, but still had the ease of use expected from a Samsung device.

Gamer’s version of Sony’s flagship headphones

I love Sony’s headphones. I’ve used them since the old Walkman cassette days. They’ve always blended comfort with quality sound. At technology has improved, so have the headphones. The H9 are the latest release showcasing Sony’s dedication to quality and comfort. These headphones work great on my Alienware laptop, PS5, and Xbox Series X. Surround sound has a great sound stage and the low frequency signal still sounds punchy for headphones. The noise cancelation works great, so don’t use these on a train or bus unless you want to miss your stop! Sony’s gaming hub software makes it easy to tweak the headphones. Paired with the PlayStation 5, these blow the “official ps5 headphones” out of the water. Sound is much richer, and I’m told by gaming buddies that my voice on the microphone sounds better. Spatial 3D audio works fairly well. When in a Halo or Call of Duty firefight, it’s fairly easy to tell when you are getting shot from behind, or other sounds from the environment. Comfort is great on these too. Air vents on the sides whisk excess sweat away so you don’t get ear soup in the cups. The soft leather-like material is comfortable without becoming grimy after long play sessions.
Aesthetically, these fit with Sony’s gaming line perfectly. They look like a ps5 product. Looks a little out of place with my black laptop or Xbox, but sounds great regardless. The white is a dirty fingerprint magnet, but wipes easily with a microfiber cloth.
Also, while most people think only of this as a gaming headset, it works great for listening to movies on the ps5 as well. The drivers have decent bass so action movies sound rich and punchy. Overall, these have a multitude of uses so they earn their price tag.

Lightning fast on my Alienware M17 R5.

Fabulously fast and efficient SSD. While load times aren’t as instantaneous as a PlayStation 5, with this ssd in my laptop computer, games that previously took 38 seconds to load no load up in 7 to 12 seconds. Huge improvement. Comes with a thermal sticker but I still added a heat sink because I know how toasty a laptop can get while gaming. Installation was a breeze, and my Alienware recognized it immediately and I was ready to go! Read/write speeds are great. Really amazing how tiny this SSD is. It’s about the size and weight of a stick of gum. I grew up in the 80’s and remember my dad replacing a hard drive on our old Packard Bell 286. That hard drive was the size of a paperback novel and weighed close to 3lbs. Times are a’changin’!
For those tempted, just want to let you know that the read/write speeds for this won’t meet the needs of the PS 5’s expansion slot. For that, you’ll have to look elsewhere. Anyone looking for a lot of storage space on a wafer of a card, however, would be wise to snag this. It’s really an affordable investment to increase your enjoyment of gaming as well as productivity apps.

Excellent Android phone. iPhone-like accessibility

I’ve been an iPhone user for 7 of the past 10 years. I was curious how Android has evolved in the recent years compared to iPhone, and (I hate to say this in front of the tribal fanboys) Android and iOS are closer today than ever in their battle for mobile supremacy. This phone is buttery smooth with an intuitive and simple interface. It’s easy to find apps, easy to integrate into daily life needs, and overall a genuine assistant and not just a quirky piece of tech. Living in a multiracial family, the live translate feature is amazingly helpful tool to follow conversations when your Spanish isn’t up to par with the native speakers. I’ve read angry reviews of the thumb sensor but I’ve never has a misfire. Camera is on par with the iPhone 13 for vividness and clarity. Magic eraser works fairly well for using its algorithms to clean up pictures. It’s not perfect, but for the occasional photobomb it works well. I’ve had it on my T-Mobile plan and it works great. The 5G connection is strong in my area and the phone has no issue connecting. I’ve tethered the phone to my SteamDeck for on the go online gaming, and it performed amicably. No stutter or dropouts. This phone has me seriously enjoying using an Android again, and I’m seriously considering picking up the Pixel Watch when it’s released.

Are you able to put your eye prescription on the frames?
Yes. The lenses are plain Jane, run of the mill polarized lenses. These are regular Raybans, so they accept prescriptions… however, talk with your eyeware specialist to see if they’ll do the custom lenses needed. Not all places accept outside frames, and many more are unsure about messing with tech glasses frames.

Is the scroll button easy to press on this?
I have had no issues with it. I find it smooth and intuitive with it’s design and feel. Every person will have their own experience, but I think overall it’s going to please far more people than it will irk. It’s a nice mouse. I’ve had dozens of gaming mice, and so far, this has been my favorite.
