Ear-drum splitting loud!!!

This is a device that definitely tells you exactly what it is, no question. To test it we took it to the middle of nowhere and did a test run. My ears were ringing for 15 to 20 minutes afterwards. This thing is LOUD. Which is a great thing. Means you or your loved one has a few seconds of a disoriented adversary to beat a hasty retreat. Very small size and has been confused for pepper spray at a few venues. Setup and registration was a simple process. My wife is so impressed that we are going to get a few more for the other women in our family. With the growing opioid addiction problem and all the psychos running amok even in Smalltown USA, you can’t be too safe. This will definitely attract attention as well as disorient an attacker. It’s a great non-lethal device. The monthly plan seems interesting, but we are sticking with the freebie default plan for now. We might upgrade later. It’s definitely given this old man piece of mind. I definitely highly recommend this. I could literally save a life.

This is hands down the best robo-vac I've seen!

I've tried several robot vacuums over the past 8 years or so. Most of them require 4 or 5 passes before they even come close to being "clean". The J9+ does an amazing job! The visual sensor is worth it alone. I have a 1yr old puppy who leaves all her toys everywhere and is 98% housetrained. The J9+ avoids the toys and the messes. Perfectly. It's legitimately smart too. It remembers particularly dirty areas and re-vacuums without having to redo a whole room. This is really handy in kitchens where you might have a lot of crumbs by the kitchen table or counters, but not in front of the fridge or stove. Only negative to the device is that it is loud. Not jet turbine loud, but don't use it when kids are napping or you are watching a movie. Activate it then go to the store, movies, or park. It sounds like a full-sized upright vacuum. Most amazing thing about it is that it can climb over rugs and small changes in elevation! I have a stepladder that has an L bracket on either side of the steps. It climbs the 1/2 inch metal bar and vacuums under the stepladder!!! I was speechless the first time I saw this!
I don't know how iRobot is gonna improve over this... This machine is literally a timesaver. My wife is even impressed by it!

Much better than the first edition of the Meta.

I have a pair of the first edition meta glasses, and while they were an innovative product, they definitely felt like they needed a little more time in the prototype phase. As the 2nd generation of Meta product by Ray-Ban, these sunglasses are a huge improvement. Picture quality is better, audio sounds crisper, and it just feels like a final product. While I’m not a huge fan of picture-taking glasses, I do love Bluetooth sunglasses for music, and these are on the higher end level. The music achieves a decent volume without being so loud others look at you. Great for podcasts too. I use speaker sunglasses a lot when I’m riding my e-scooter. Let’s me enjoy music but still be fully cognizant of my surroundings. I played around with the picture taking portion of the sunglasses. Images have better color definition and definitely cleaner detail. Good for catching spontaneous event pictures or sneaking into “no cameras allowed” events, but otherwise I’ll stick to my mirrorless Canon for pictures of friends and family. The Bluetooth connection on this seems to be better than my previous Meta glasses. I was able to upload pictures to my iPhone 15 Pro without disconnects or either device falling asleep.
Definitely a more polished product.

Great for peace of mind.

This is a fantastic emergency device. Plenty of power for everything from cellphones to small laptops. With winter coming up soon, we thought it’d bee a good idea to have a few backup battery devices. We picked up several 20-65w battery bricks for phones and other small portables, and jumped on this for more demanding devices such as laptops and most importantly, the heater for our reptiles. This will run our reptile room heater for 6hrs on one charge. Not perfect, but better than losing a beloved pet. It’s fairly compact, and honestly not as heavy as it sounds. Think of it as a bowling ball with a handle. Feels durable, and it charges quickly off the standard wall ac. Definitely recommend. It’s got outlets for everything and would make a great device for campers as well as emergency preparedness. Can be charged with OPTIONAL solar panel as well. Will probably look into picking that accessory up. Heck, can even use it as a ridiculously huge charging brick for a Nintendo switch or steam deck.

Took this to the office to use to charge my iPhone at work, so I wasn’t taking my home cable back and forth. This works exactly the same as the Apple branded cable, and also looks a little nicer. The braiding gives it a premium look and feel. It’s not just for iPhones, either! You can use it to charge PS5 controllers, a Steamdeck or Asus Rog Ally, some wireless headphones, wireless cameras, and more. USB-c is the new standard for charging and data transmission, so it’s a good idea to have a few of these cables lying around. I know with reviews people expect the positive and negatives of a product mentioned, but this really doesn’t have any negatives. It’s the perfect length for 90% of applications, color fits almost every decor, and the build quality is durable yet flexible. This cable feels like it has several years of use ahead of it. Highly recommend going out and grabbing a few of these. Keep one in your glovebox in your car, take one for the office, and it makes a versatile stocking stuffer.

Excellent gaming pc and great workhorse too!

The 4060ti and Asus brand have had a tough time, but this computer has won me over. Running third party benchmarks, this computer will play 99 of the top 100 games at recommended settings. I’ve tried Baldur’s Gate 3 (Act 3), Forza, Tiny Tina, Spiderman, and Diablo and all play flawlessly on high and ultra settings with no stuttering. I have it hooked up to the Sony M9 monitor for G-Sync and it looks fantastic! Fan noise is the quietest I’ve ever had with a gaming pc. A consistent hum, rather than the usual jet turbine. Easily drown out by decent speakers. After a two hour gaming session, it was well within normal temps. I added a 2TB SSD just for game storage. Install took seconds. The RGB lighting is just the right amount of gawdiness, without looking like a rainbow disco. I can also sync the rgb with other devices like my Rog Ally. Keyboard and mouse are basically the normal OEM flavorless “freebies” and I HIGHLY recommend upgrading. They are fine for setting up the computer but not really something you’d be comfortable using for hours.
Absolutely love the headset holder and wifi6 antenna. Both are subtle additions that really help the experience. Bloatware is minimum, and thankfully Armory Crate and MyAsus have improved tremendously since their earliest versions. I found it simple to use and great information.
If you are uncomfortable building your own pc and want a solid performer, look no further. This is a great gaming rig that will easily handle your favorite games in stunning 1440p or 4k with gorgeous ray tracing.

This is a fantastic little multitool appliance. Used it for several meals now and it does a great job without warming the entire kitchen. Perfect size for a small kitchen or apartment. Takes up just a tiny square of kitchen counter space. Has enough room to do a couple burgers or steaks or a few servings of French fries. Cleanup is super easy and takes a few minutes. Control panel is easy to understand and simple to use. Fits the decor of my kitchen with all stainless steel appliances. Really nothing I can say bad against it. This would make an excellent wedding gift for a newly starting couple, as well as a great gift for empty nesters who don’t need a huge 8 person serving appliance. Build is sturdy and nothing feels like it will wear out quickly. Bella pro products are definitely high quality. Besides the usual hamburgers and French fries, I’ve used it to cook a few other gourmet meals. The results are just as good as my full size Samsung oven but works better because it preheats quickly and cools just as fast, so it makes meal prep a breeze. Highly recommend!

Strong magnet, works as intended.

I have an iPhone 15 pro. This works perfectly with my MagSafe case. Holds it firm and charges it. Blends in with the front of the car. No needless LEDs or other unnecessary garishness. Easy to set up. Just press it against the air vents and it clips on. Holds firmly. Rubbery coating prevents scratches. It’s very simple but it works. That’s really all one can ask of a charger.
They want 1000 minimum letters in this review, but I’ve already covered the main points. It works, looks fine, and achieved what I needed it to do. I need to get a 2nd one for my wife’s car. It’s nice to not have to fiddle with a usb cable that gets tangled or lost. This is just simple “plug and play” and you are ready to go.
Really my only “issue” is I wish this had a spare usb port on it. Would just make it a tad more versatile. As it, though, it hits my immediate charging needs so I’m not going to complain. Charging speed isn’t spectacular, but in a 1/2hr of charging from 1% I was up around 20% so not atrocious.

This is without a doubt the hardest review I have ever done. Up front, if you are looking forward to playing the latest games at a full framerate, go with the Z1 extreme model. Performance is better in every category.
With that out of the way, here is my review of this product if it existed by itself, without being in the shadow of it’s more powerful older brother…
I’m a gamer to the core. I have several gaming laptops, all the consoles, as well as several portables. I bought the steam deck the second it was available. I jumped at the opportunity to review the Rog Ally. While much negative press exists about the “downgraded” model, there is very little objective information of how it performs on its own. Having an extensive Steam library as well as Gamepass, I loaded the Ally with a wide variety of current and retro titles. Spider-Man remastered, Starfield, Ninja Turtles - Shredder’s Revenge, castle crashers, stray, the Batman Arkham Asylum games, etc.
Performance wise, all the heavily taxing games like Starfield, Halo, and Spider+man played flawlessly on low to mid settings. Frame rates (which is all people seem to care about these days) hovered between 37 and 45 fps. Everything looks fantastic. Colors are bright and even at mid settings the image looks great on the 7in screen. Modern technology is amazing. To go from the Gameboy of 1989 to playing Cyberpunk on a train is just a blessing people seem to take for granted today.
Audio quality is fantastic on the Rog Ally. The speakers sound much bigger than they really are, and the Dolby Atmos actually manages to weakly simulate spatial sound in games. Quite amazing for a handheld device.
Ergonomics are decent. The weight and grips are comfortable enough that I can game for an hour or two (maximum one can do per charge anyway) and not feel discomfort. Asus really did their homework.
For storage, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND upgrading the internal memory. At the time of this review, there have been dozens of reports of the Micro SD card reader “burning out” presumably due to its close proximity to the heat exhaust vents at the top. Because of this, I didn’t want to risk damaging a perfectly good SD card. With a full suite of Windows 11 and all the game launchers, the included 512GB gives you room for about 4 to 6 AAA titles. Swapping out the SSD takes 15 minutes. The process to format the SSD and reload Windows and proprietary Asus layers takes about an hour.
Windows 11. Well… it’s the operating system, for better or for worse. You can play just about any windows game, but Windows doesn’t like being constrained by touch screens or controllers. Have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse ready for emergency use.
Overall it’s a great 1st generation of hopefully a long line of mobile gaming PCs. It’s had several hiccups along the way, but it’s off to a great start. If you play independent games like Cult of the Lamb, Hades, Star Ocean, etc… or if you are fine with frame rates around 30fps on games like Farcry 6 or The Last of Us, the regular Z1 is fine. If you have any desire to hit frame rates closer to 60 or higher, or like graphics settings at mid to ultra, spend a few more dollars for the Z1 Extreme edition.

Fantastic amp that literally hits the right notes!

This is a fantastic integrated amp! I have it hooked up to a pair of Kef bookshelf Q350 and it sounds amazing! Really opens the speakers up despite the appearance of low wattage. Hooked up the hdmi input to the eARC on my tv, and it does exactly what every other eARC capable device does. Keeping the audio circuitry clean of video signal is a marvelous concept for a system, but I personally feel this device only has hdmi because everyone else is doing it. Focusing on music should be Technic’s ambitions, because that’s where this shines. Streaming lossless music from Apple Music via Airplay 2 and playing samples from my SACD transport sound absolutely spotless. They really did their homework on reproducing audio. This amp brings out the details so you can really tell which songs are painstakingly loved and mastered by an artist and what is junk tossed on an album to pad a record. I spent a few hours with my eyes closed, listening to 50’s Jazz and the greats of Motown and the sound was fantastic. I’ve listened to two channel amps at twice the price that don’t have the sound quality as this.
My only “complaint” is with the algorithm for processing speaker waveform to “compensate.” I tried several positions and recalibrated a few times, but the process took a lot of the depth and tone out of the sound and made the speakers sound flat and unappealing. I’ll play with it some more, but for the moment, I just set it to off.
Setup was easy. It found my Google Home network easily, and all the music apps work without any hitches. It’s a great return to form for Technics and I hope to hear more great things from them in the future!

Are you able to put your eye prescription on the frames?
Yes. The lenses are plain Jane, run of the mill polarized lenses. These are regular Raybans, so they accept prescriptions… however, talk with your eyeware specialist to see if they’ll do the custom lenses needed. Not all places accept outside frames, and many more are unsure about messing with tech glasses frames.

Is the scroll button easy to press on this?
I have had no issues with it. I find it smooth and intuitive with it’s design and feel. Every person will have their own experience, but I think overall it’s going to please far more people than it will irk. It’s a nice mouse. I’ve had dozens of gaming mice, and so far, this has been my favorite.

Any Mark II can be updated. The original M6 I will not get the upgrade, I believe.

Several websites post custom calibrations for the TV that look far better than presets. I recommend those. Presets look quite harsh.
