High Fidelity Sound in a Small Form Factor
on March 21, 2021
Posted by: k1zit

This Denon wireless speaker is replacing my old google home wireless speaker. I used to think my Google speaker sounded pretty good for it's size. To me, this Denon speaker sounds at least ten times better. This is one of those products that's a no brainer for me to blindly recommend to anyone. If you just want a small versatile indoor speaker that produces high end level audio, give this a try. I don't think that I've ever been this impressed with any wireless speaker.
As mentioned previously, the sound is incredible for it's size. This is one of those speakers that you don't need to turn up the volume high for it to sound good. Even at low volume, the sound produced is pristine. The sound is full and rich with very crisp vocals and very impressive lows. What's most impressive is how the low frequency is tight and punchy but it never drowns out the mids and highs. I played a lot of classical, reggae, pop, techno, hip hop, and metal. I couldn't find a single genre that resulted in this Denon speaker rendering a poor sound signature.
The build quality is very impressive. The controls on the top of the speaker are touch sensitive but also "proximity sensitive". They activate when your hand is near the speaker. The speaker comes with a very modern and high quality feel non-removable grill cover. The bottom and top panels of the speaker are made of a high quality plastic. You can tell it's a high quality speaker by just picking it up. It's heavy for it's size which means they used top notch internals. Back in the day, working in the audio industry, this is how you could tell a good receiver from a better receiver. Pick it up and see how heavy it is!
Setup was incredibly easy. By far the easiest wireless device that I've paired in the last...year...2 years? 3? It's been a while since I've had a product where I just download the app, make sure bluetooth is enabled on my phone and that I'm connected to my home Wi-Fi, and that's it. The Denon HEOS app just finds the product, pushes the latest update to it, and allows you to control everything from the app. I certainly didn't have to use the HEOS app to play back audio sources from my phone via bluetooth, but I liked that I could access my spotify playlists and also my SiriusXM profile directly from it. If you dont care about any of those things just make sure to open the app once in a while to see if there is a new firmware update for your Denon 150 wireless speaker. Also, thank you Denon for including a physical LAN port on this device! Great if you have spotty Wi-FI issues and want the most interrupted music experience possible!
Although this wireless speaker is probably one of the pricier options out there, it's sound reproduction lives up to the price. If you're looking for great sound to come from a nightstand in your bedroom, a coffee or end table in your living room, this is easily the one to get.

Impressive Gaming/Cinema Sound Bar
on January 13, 2021
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
This is the perfect sound bar for someone looking for very capable sound (much better than TV speakers) at a very affordable price. This sound bar punches above it's price segment. While it goes without saying that this certainly won't compete with your 7.1/5.1 dolby atmos home theatre setups, this is still a huge upgrade from your standard TV speakers. The built-in subwoofer does a VERY adequate job of providing deep lows; especially at it's highest setting (this thing is a must for gaming!)
The sound bar is very thoughtfully designed. It's an upward firing sound bar so it feels as though the audio really envelops the room. Yamaha carefully placed the LEDs above the sound bar in order to minimize any "light pollution" that one may experience while watching TV in a dark room. It's also very low profile making it ideal to tuck underneath practically any modern TV. I have highlighted pros and cons that I've experienced while using this soundbar:
**********PROS*********************************************************
- Setup is incredibly easy; either connect an HDMI to an "ARC labeled HDMI on your TV or use the included optical cable. Make sure to enable your ARC input in your TV's menu setting
-Thoughtfully designed; low profile with non-distracting LEDs
-3D Surround sound for gaming!!! A lot of the newer gen console games have 3D audio support. Sound is incredible for this price point. Respectable built-in subwoofer with deep lows and pretty decent mids and highs. It really shines when paired to a console. I paired this up to my Playstation 5 and it completely changed
my experience when playing Demon's Souls
-Very small form factor and intuitive remote
-Pre-set EQ modes were perfect for my needs (Movie, 3D Surround sound, Standard, Game). Yamaha did a great job of tuning each profile
- Built-in subwoofer provides some impressive lows out of such a small driver. No distortion even at it's highest volume level. Yamaha was again very thoughtful with this. There are four volume settings that allow you to turn the bass up or down including bass extension (a bass booster of sorts). This will be a very useful feature for those that live in apartments or are sharing walls and need to be mindful of subwoofer volume
-"Clear Voice" EQ profile. This EQ profile boosts the highs and mids for movies that are dialogue heavy (e.g. dramas, comedies)
- Yamaha Remote App for Android/IOS. You can pair the app and control all of the functions and settings directly from your mobile device
- Bluetooth connectivity. Pair any bluetooth source to the soundbar . I've been using this to play music in my living room as I do the dishes, clean, etc.
- Cost. I think this is an outstanding value in terms of what you get for what you pay. Definitely delivers (in terms of sound) above it's price range
- When connected via the ARC input through the HDMI cable, the volume is automatically controlled by your main TV remote without you having to set anything up!
- Support for external subwoofer connectivity
**********CONS*******************************************************************
-When you use the mute button there are 3 LEDs that constantly keep flashing. This can be distracting if you quickly want to switch to a pair of headphones and continue watching your movie/content. A quick fix is to just turn the volume down all the way instead
- Not an official Dolby Atmos certified soundbar (it supports "Dolby audio", DTS, and DTS X Virtual). However, Dolby Atmos sources still sounded great!
-No custom EQ settings for those that want maximum customizability
Overall, I highly recommend this sound bar for someone looking for a quick and significant upgrade over their TV speakers but don't want to spend too much. Ideally, it's probably also more suited for small to medium sized living rooms as very large living rooms will probably require more power output (however, I can still see it doing just fine in larger spaces). Also, if you game but don't want to invest in a full fledged 5.1/7.1 home theatre setup or are facing space restrictions, this is a must!

The Blueair Classic 280i air purifier brings clean, energizing air to spacious bedrooms, living rooms, or any rooms up to 279 sq. ft. A built-in air quality sensor makes it easy to confirm your air is virtually free of asthma and allergy triggers and indoor air pollutants such as mold, dust, pet dander, and pollen by scanning the air quality in real-time and adjusting fan speed to your current air quality. The Classic 280i delivers unmatched performance thanks to HEPASilent technology, which combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration technologies. This combination, pioneered by Blueair, delivers a high Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) with whisper-quiet operation (32- 56 dB), using 20-80 W of energy.

Extremely Silent & Efficient Air Purifier
on January 11, 2021
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
I've suffered from asthma all my life so breathability has always been a bit of a priority to me. Growing up my family did not have access to purifiers, nor did I pay much attention to them as I got older when I could finally afford them. It wasn't until about a year ago that I purchased a couple of air purifiers. I'll never not have one going forward. Out of the several air purifiers I own, this is hands down the best one. However, it is certainly not the most affordable solution.
One thing I want to clarify (since I was under the impression that all Blueair products are made in Sweden) is that while you'll see "Made in Sweden" in a lot of their marketing, this particular unit was made in China but designed in Sweden (please see pic). However, that did not deter the amazing performance that this unit was able to produce.
The reason this has become the best air purifier I own is because of how silent it operates, the amount of air it can push, and it's ability to filter particulates and odors. The air purifier has three settings: low, medium, and high. It runs extremely silent at low to the point where you can barely even hear it. While medium and high are of course louder, they are still nowhere near as loud as the rest of the air purifiers I have around the house at max settings. I usually leave it on auto (which keeps it on low most of the time) and it only ramps up if it detects particulates in the air. I tested this by spraying cologne in my master bedroom and the VOC light turned amber, the fan speed increased (at a very reasonable audible level), and as soon as it got rid of the particulates, it went back down to low.
Even though this purifier is marketed for small to medium rooms, it pushes a ton of air. This purifier filters the air 5 times in a 279 sq foot room in an hour. This is pushing as much air, if not more, than most air purifiers marketed for "living rooms" by other competitors. Aside from all the spec sheet numbers, I can attest to the difference in air quality made possible by this air purifier. I feel like breathability is great in my master bedroom. I can sleep all night without waking up once. In the mornings, I wake up without a stuffy nose. Most importantly, it keeps my number one asthma trigger at bay; allergies. Ever since I've started using purifiers it has practically eliminated my sneezing; especially in the mornings.
I have to mention the app as it's pretty much a necessity if you want to see all the useful numbers that are aggregated from the purifier's sensors. It's also a necessity if you decide that you want to turn off the blue circular led logo that might be too bright for some bedrooms. As was the case for me and it ended up causing some "light pollution" at night when going to bed. Thankfully the app allows you to dim the blue LED light or completely turn it off. I just leave it off so I don't have to mess with it. I have been pretty impressed with the app's simplicity and usefulness. Once you have the Blueair app downloaded for either Android or IOS, you'll want to make sure that you're connecting to your Wi-Fi SSID in 2.4Ghz. It will not work on the 5Ghz band. The app will tell you this as well. Once in the app, you're met with a very well presented and well organized dashboard. You can see the current air quality index, PM stats, tVOC stats, humidity, and temperature. I love that it gives you indoor and outdoor stats. The app allows you to control the fan speed, set schedules if you want a certain fan speed to come on at a certain time, and also tells you exactly how many days you have left on your filter!
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with this air purifier. However, there are a couple of cons for me. The dual protection filters are very expensive in my opinion. Considering that Blueair recommends replacing the filter every 6 months, that's a tough pill to swallow when each dual protection filter costs about a 1/4 of the total cost of the unit itself. This means that every year you'll be spending half of the total cost of this unit if you replace your filters with dual protection filters twice a year. For comparison, one of my other top air purifiers by another brand, offers dual filters (carbon+particle) for half the cost of blueair's dual protection filters. Luckily, there's an alternative option and that's purchasing the particle filter only (no carbon filter) which is about half the cost of the dual protection filter. My last gripe is a bit of a minor one. Due to it's physical design, the air filter is on the only flat side of the air purifier. Most people will want to place this air purifier flush up against a wall on the flat side of the unit for obvious aesthetic reasons. Unfortunately, that flat side is where the air filter is located and where the unit draws it's air from. Luckily for me, this wasn't an issue at all as I have more than enough space in the corner of my master bedroom to orient it in a multitude of ways. However, I can see people not having a choice in tight spaces and having to put the air purification side pretty close to a wall which would could lead to less than optimal results. You could overcome this by simply orienting the flat side (air filter side) opposite of the wall but it obviously won't be as visually appealing. With that aside, I still highly recommend this air purifier if you want one of the best air purifiers on the market. I would have given it five stars had it not been for the steep cost of the replacement dual protection filters. In terms of performance and quality though, this is as good as it gets and it will be evident in the air quality of your home once you get this air purifier setup.

Prefer This Over My Stainless Steel Pot!
on November 23, 2020
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
This is one of those "no brainer" products that's easy to recommend to anyone who cooks sous vide. Up until now I've been using a large stainless steel pot. Very basic but it got the job done. Using a container such as this that's designed for sous vide cooking lends itself to some unique little traits that improved my experience.
As seen by my pictures, I don't own an official "Anova" precision cooker. I own a generic one that's very similar. It worked with this container with no issues and I expect it will work with most precision cookers currently on the market. The rack is great to hold your steaks or other meats. I would highly recommend getting small clips to clip onto the rack (although not necessary as I didnt have any). Another great feature about this container is that because of it's shape, it allows for much better water flow and circulation than the traditional round stainless steel pot . The rubber lid helps keep everything closed to seal in the heat in order to reach the desired temperature a bit quicker. I am also a huge fan of the sturdy handles on the side of the container for when I fill it with water. I really can't find any cons. If I HAD to nitpick I wish that Anova would have made the small arrow on the side of the container where the precision cooker is supposed to attach a bit more conspicuous. It's transparent and a bit hard to spot so I can see someone trying to put the cooker on the wrong side. Other than that, this is the perfect addition to your sous vide cooking!

Excellent Wireless Qi Charger
on November 15, 2020
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
Very happy with this Belkin Wireless Qi charging pad. The pad itself connects to a powerblock via a USB type-C to USB type-A cable. The USB type-C end connects to the pad and the USB type-A end connects to the power block. I've been using this for a couple weeks now placed on my night stand and has worked without a hiccup. It fully charges my Galaxy note 9 in less than an hour. The front LED shows red if your phone isnt charging, green if it's charging, and amber if it detects some type of foreign object.
One thing to note is that it wont work with really thick cases. I tried it on my ultra heavy duty otter-like Samsung case and it would not charge. I won't dock a star for this as Belkin transparently mentions this on their site that it's been "engineered to work with lightweight plastic cases up to 3mm." It worked with all of my other cases. I also appreciate that you can use different orientations when placing your phone on the pad to charge (i.e. horizontal or vertical). It also has rubber grips to prevent on your phone from sliding. This is a very straight forward product that just works. Been using Belkin for over 15 years and they've never let me down.

The Most Premium Jet/Vac on the Market
on November 9, 2020
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
The Jet VS90 is an aesthetic marvel. It’s without a doubt, the most premium stick jet vac I’ve ever seen and used. It also has solid performance to back up its looks. Despite this, it is not the “end all” of high end jet vacuums. Considering the tier that this vac comes in at, I wish there were a few things that Samsung would have included and/or considered. I have compiled a list of pros and cons that I encountered during my time using this vac so far:

**********Pros**********:
-Unparalleled build quality; all aluminum and premium plastic accents
-Adjustable vacuum stick length! I have never seen this before. Love that I can adjust it to cater to my height
-Don’t need to hold down the button/trigger to operate the vacuum; simply press on/off button and select low, medium, or max suction power
-Very impressive battery life; over 30 minutes on medium mode
-The stand is perfection. Rests on the floor and requires no mounting. Charges battery while vac is on the stand (up to two batteries) and also holds a couple attachments
-Best dust bin in the business, hands down. True no mess system that prevents dust clumps from getting stuck in the bin. Even better with the optional Samsung Clean Station
-Excellent main turbo action brush for carpet and soft brush for hardwood (no ratcheting or loose noises during vacuuming)
-Powerful 200W motor w/ True HEPA Filtration which leads to extremely strong suction performance
- Excellent attachments such as the mini motorized tool for bedding or furniture and the articulation tool which allows accessories to articulate in several angles!
**********Cons**********:
-No LED or light to provide illumination on floor surface
-Spinning sweeper not included for wet use on hard surfaces
-Does not include spare battery even though the charging stand has a charging dock for a 2nd battery (several companies are including a 2nd battery for vacs in their premium line these days)
-When assembling charging stand, awkward placement of screw hole. Battery holder in the way of screwdriver handle. Must use stubby or very short screwdriver (see picture)
-No large wheels on main action brush. As a result, this adds a bit of resistance on carpet during the back and forth motion of carpeting
Overall, there are a lot of things that this vac gets right and a lot of innovative features that I absolutely love that haven't been seen in a stick vac before. If youre someone like me that doesnt like mounting anything on their walls, this vac is perfect. The stand it comes with is perfection. Not only does it sit upgright on it's stand (while charging the main battery) without having to mount it, but it also includes a spare battery charging dock (spare battery not included unfortunately). The stand also holds two accessories. Two other things that make this vac such a pleasure to use is the fact that the height is adjustable and the dust bin. The dust bin is in a league of it's own. I have finally found a dust bin where I don't need to reach in and get my hands dirty to remove dust clumps. I plan on purchasing the samsung clean station for the auto empty dustbin experience. If you want one of the best looking dry/wet vacs on the market with top notch performance and you don't mind spending a little extra for the spinning sweeper accessory, it's a clear winner.

The Most High Tech Stick Vac Yet!
on October 29, 2020
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
I've used several stick vacuums by now but I've never been able to geek out like I did with this Tineco stick vac. It's hands down the most high-tech vaccum I've ever used. I don't know any premium stick vac on the market right now that has an accompanying android/ios app. And it isn't just the app that sets it aside for me. Tineco outfitted this vac with several sensors that actually served a functional purpose during my time using it.
In terms of performance, this is also one of the best stick vacs Ive ever used; easily rivaling the top competition on the market. It does so at a lower cost and with even more accessories. It's not without its drawbacks though. However, these "drawbacks" are for the most part minor. Below, I have put together a list of pros and cons that I found during my time using this vaccum.
**********PROS***********************************************************:
- Great build quality and gorgeous modern design. It's refreshing to see Tineco deviating from the traditional silver and grey colorway and going with a white and black theme.
-Has an "auto lock" lever that when set, prevents you from having to constantly hold down the trigger button.
-Very powerful suction on max. Easily rivals my other two premium stick vacs.
-Innovative filter cleaning system. Huge fan of this. Tineco includes a pre-filter cleaning tool that looks like a mini brush. It comes with a clean spare filter. Once your filter is dirty you basically swap it out for the clean one, put the dirty one in the cleaning tool, and power on the vac and let it run it's cycle. Ingenious!!
-Very good battery on lower settings (Using the "Auto" feature I got 24 mins use and still had 64% left).
-Comes with a spare battery.
-True HEPA filtration.
-***"Auto mode only*** - The "Iloop" sensor actually works well and detects dust and dirt in real time. It adjusts the vacs suction power accordingly. This is the most battery efficient technology I've seen in a vacuum. I tested this by sprinkling metamucil powder on my carpet and the Iloop ring actually changed color when going over the powder and increased suction.
-Dust bin sensor alerts you via the Tineco app when the bin is at max capacity.
-Fantastic touch based slider on the front of the vac that allows you to manually adjust suction power to your liking (can also be done from the app).
-Comes with an LED strip on the front of the main brush head for illuminating darker areas (many premium vacs lack this for some reason and I've actually found it to be useful).
- Very smooth roller action when vacuuming back and forth. Very little resistance.
-The attachments are plentiful. Most I've ever seen come with a stick vac. They are listed below:
-Mini power brush
-2in1 dusting brush
-Crevice tool
-Soft dusting brush
-Flexible long crevice tool
-Automatic pre-filter cleaning tool + extra pre-filter
-Most organized box packaging I've ever seen for a stick vac
**********CONS************************************************************:
-Clumps of dust occassionally get trapped in the upper narrow area of the dust bin (see picture). This means two things. You either have to get your hands dirty by digging in there to pull the clumps, or you can manually detach the filter to allow the clumps to fall freely.
-Poor battery life on max (to be expected).
-Not a fan of the charging system. I must note that this is more of a personal issue because I don't like to mount anything to my walls. If you're not going to use the mounting system for the vacuum with the attachable battery dock, you will need to seperately charge the battery in the oddly shaped dock that doesn't sit flat (see picture).
-Chrome plated plastic accents. Maybe I'm in the minority but I feel plastic should never be chrome plated. It just gives off a cheap vibe.
-Tineco app is a bit of a pain to setup. Had to use manual mode to pair the vacuum. Also, it wasn't mentioned anywhere but you HAVE to be on your 2.4 GHZ wireless SSID (not your 5Ghz Wi-Fi network) in order for it to work. This device will not pair on the 5 GHz band.
-Very slight audible rattle that seems to come from the main brush head when passing vaccum back and forth. To be fair, this can only be heard on the lower settings. I could not hear it on medium+ settings.
Overall, I am very impressed with this stick vac. It offers much more in terms of tech and accessories than a lot of it's competition in the higher end tier. More importantly, it does so without compromising on performance. Didn't think I'd say this, but I actually look forward to vacuuming because of all the bells and whistles it has. I highly recommend this vacuum if youre very much into tech and looking for a premium stick vac.

Impressive AI Mapping Technology
on September 24, 2020
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
I've been using this Shark AI Robot Vacuum for a couple of weeks now and have put it through its paces. This is my first robot vac as I've typically avoided them due to the disappointing stories and reviews I've seen. After hearing about the AI mapping technology that a lot of the newer higher end models are coming with, I was excited to give this one a shot.
Setting up this Shark vac was extremely easy. Placement is key. Make sure to place the dock in an unobstructed area against the wall. Preferably with 3-5ft of clearance on each of it's sides and also in the front of the dock. After doing this, I downloaded the "Shark Clean" app and followed the on-screen instructions. Make sure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network that the robot vac will connect to on the app. I love that this Shark Vac operates on the 2.4 Ghz band. With that said, make sure that your phone is connected to the 2.4Ghz SSID on your home Wi-Fi network when setting this up. While the 2.4Ghz band isn't as "clean" as the 5Ghz band, distance and object penetration (such as walls) is much better on the 2.4 Ghz band. Not once has my Shark Vac experienced any connectivity issues. Once the app detected my Shark vac, setup was complete.
In terms of operation, I have been floored with it's performance. The "AI mapping" technology sounded like a gimmick but it truly works. My living room and bedrooms are all carpet. My laundry room, kitchen, and bathroom have tile flooring. I have a dining room table, several sofa end tables, a large 75 inch TV stand, several statue displays, air purifiers, etc in my living room that the shark vac has to maneuver around. For it's first use, the Shark vac will go on an "exploration" run in an attempt to map out your home for it's cleaning cycles. It got my home layout pretty spot-on on it's first try. As far as the cleaning, I was extremely surprised that it seems to do a better job than my stick vac. Sure, it takes longer, but the fact that you can schedule cleaning cycles on the app to initiate when you're not home offsets that for me. Another feature that extremely impressed me is it's ability to clean in the dark. When I read, "Day or Night: Night vision for consistent coverage, any time of day" on the packaging, I chuckled. Nothing more than marketing I thought. Sure enough, this thing cleans my laundry room and den in complete darkness with no issues. I've watched it do its round multiple times around my house and I'm extremely impressed at how accurate it's sensors are. It rarely runs into anything. This is not the experience that I've seen a lot of other users have on their YouTube reviews with older generation robot vacs. I'm also happy to report that everytime that I have manually triggered the Shark vac to clean from the app, it's never had a hiccup. It has also, not once, not been able to find it's way back to it's docking station. The battery life is also impressive. Usually, after a full clean cycle, it still has about 60-65% battery left.
I never would have thought that my first robot vac experience would have been this effortless. Usually there is always some type of connectivity issue, a battery life issue, home mapping issues, or app issues with other robot vac reviews I've seen. I still can't really believe that I can't really find any cons to this unit. While it may not be able to reach the tiniest and most remote crevices of the house, this little droid will stroll around your house and clean up 98% of it! Highly recommended!

Feel relief aid anywhere, anytime with Compex® Ayre™ compression boots. Designed for therapists, coaches, elite and recreational athletes on-the-go, Ayre is a therapeutic product using intermittent pneumatic compression. When exercising, the body builds up lactic acid as a biproduct of muscle contraction. Ayre compression boots work to break up these small molecules and send stimulus to your nervous system. These compression boots are designed to help improve blood flow and circulation in the legs by mobilizing lactic acid, access fluids, and other toxins. Compex Ayre uses a dynamic pulsing compression up the limbs in waves for the duration of its use, which helps promote quick healing. Sit back, power up the boots, and enjoy your recovery for up to 60 minutes anywhere on a single charge.

It Has Made Me A Believer!
on September 23, 2020

Being an avid athlete in the last 15 years, I've been healthy and fortunate enough to participate in marathons, obstacle races, and fitness competitions. I was extremely excited to try out Compex's compression boot offerings. While it's unlikely that anyone can scientifically provide hard proof that compression therapy devices, such as compression boots, lead to faster recovery, research has shown that compression and massages do improve blood flow and increase oxygen to your muscles. This is supposed to aid in removing lactic acid and prevent the dreaded sore muscle feeling. Theory is great, but until I can try such a bold claim for myself I'm not entirely sold.
I decided to focus my workouts on leg exercises upon putting this product to the test. I put together a small custom leg regiment involving resistance training. I worked out my legs three times a week. I added a minimum of a 1 mile run after every leg workout. Each one of the three workouts focused on either volume, intensity, or frequency. My goal was to compare the recovery during an intense week of leg exercises while using these compression boots as opposed to my usual one to two day a week leg workout routine with normal intensity.
These things are miracle workers....However, I do believe it has a lot do with how frequently I used them. I used them immediately after every workout, a couple of hours after my workout while watching TV, and once before bed. I also used it in the morning a couple of times before work. I still had some soreness but for the volume and intensity that I trained my legs at, it was really impressive how short lived it was. The slight soreness only lasted about a day as opposed to several days when I've trained my legs at slightly above my normal intensity.
The product is extremely easy to use. You simply slip them onto each leg and press the power button on each of the control units. The default setting is likely fine for most but I enjoy a tighter compression. You can increase each compression chamber on every boot (there are 4 on every boot). 90 was the perfect level for me (goes upto 120) . I would recommend increasing by 10 and trying every incremental step up to make sure youre not going too tight. That's pretty much it. It's a very simple no frills compression therapy device that will certainly speed your recovery. Conversely, it's over simplistic offering is what made me deduct a star.
I would really have loved to pair these compression boots with an app. It would have been great to be able to select between different therapy modes in an application. One of the big features I think these boots are missing are a massage feature. While these boots accomplish their one main task of compressing your muscles very well, sometimes you want to indulge in more of a massage than solely a "constrict and release" function. My only last other gripe is I wish the boots were a tad longer so they could really envelop my upper quads.
Overall, these are fantastic recovery compression boots especially for the price. Their only competition is about twice the cost. These boots also came in a very high quality storage case. They are extremely portable. Definitely more so than their competition as they also dont have a massive control unit and plugs. This is definitely a product you have to try for yourself and not rely sole on other's results since everyone's physiological composition differs. Compex has been around a LONG time in the fitness game and I trust these will serve me well for several years of training.

Great Polarized Sunglasses for Running or Hiking
on September 9, 2020
Posted by: k1zit
from Los Angeles
I've been using these sunglasses on my runs and they've added a new dimension in terms of my environmental awareness and comfort. Because these sunglasses are designed with open ear audio, you get to experience your music without an earbud entrenched into your ear canal. It is a very liberating and refreshing experience that provides a level of comfort that none of my headphones can provide while I run or hike. I've been pretty surprised how much more aware I am of my surroundings during my runs due to the open ear audio design. Anything that adds a layer of safety when I'm engaged in a physical activity is a huge plus in my book; especially while shielding my eyes from the sun! I can also vouch that they have stood up to my sweat during my runs with no issues so far.
While the open ear audio design provides for a much better level of comfort than traditional earbuds/headphones and also provides much better environmental awareness, there is a trade off. You're not going to get the "boomy" low frequency bass notes that you may be used to hearing when listening to your favorite electronic set. You're also not going to get that punchy double pedal sound when listening to metal or hard rock. However, hip/hop, pop, jazz, and acoustic tracks sound FANTASTIC! Incredibly crisp and vibrant.I think this may be a deal breaker for some people depending on what their preferred genre of music is. I happen to be a huge fan of electronic and metal when working out and I just wish they offered a little more bass. I also wish they were just slightly louder. For poolside listening, these are such a pleasure! It's refreshing not having to have anything in your ears while you sip on your favorite beverage. I would like to note that because of their open ear design, at it's highest volume, people close to you will definitely be able to hear your music. Just something to keep in mind.
In terms of build quality and design, this thing feels like it's built like a tank (albeit all plastic) but somehow maintains a very light heft to it. I absolutely love the polarized lens with the mirror finish. They include three different nose pads to increase/decrease the pressure for a tighter or looser fit. I have the "medium" nose pads installed and they don't budge when I run. They're also super comfy! One thing I'm not a big fan of is the oversized frames. However, I know that Bose did this in order to pack lithium batteries that provide up to 8 hours of audio playback. Happy to report that battery performance has far outlasted any of my runs or hikes.
Setup was a bit of struggle for me at first. However, I am fully to blame for not being able to initially pair my sunglasses to my Android device. I could simply not get the "Bose Music" app to connect to my sunglasses. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that under my "connections" settings, I had "Phone Visibility" set to off which means that my phone was not discoverable during bluetooth pairing. As soon as I turned this on, my phone was able to quickly pair with the sunglasses and I've had no issues since. I have included a screenshot of the setting in case anyone has any issues pairing their sunglasses. This would be the first thing I would check.
My favorite feature so far has been the convenience of simply swiping on the top right side of the frame to turn the volume up or down. You can also skip or replay tracks by tapping on the frame. I love not having to mess about with pushing a button on a wireless earbud or trying to find the play/skip/volume buttons on a cord. Overall, if you're an active person who loves to take your music with you on runs or hikes but also likes to shield your eyes from the sun, I would highly suggest you give them a try. Or if youre someone who constantly finds themselves poolside, these are a must!!

Listen to your favorite songs anywhere with these Bluetooth Audio Technica headphones. They fold inward, letting you conveniently store them when not in-use, and the fitted ear cups prevent outside noise from interfering with sound quality. These Audio Technica headphones run for up to 40 hours on a single charge and have 45mm large-aperture drivers for clear, powerful sound.

Can the 50XBT be charged using a wall adapter like an iPhone cube charger?

It sure can! You would simply need to connect the included USB cable to the wall charger and the other end (Micro-USB side) to the headphones. Just bear in mind that the cable that Audio Technica includes is extremely short!!! (1 ft) so you may want to purchase a longer one or use a longer one that you may already have at home.
