A nice upgrade

The Uncharted series has come a long way and I originally missed out on the first and third entries when I had my PS3. I have since upgraded to a PS4 and can now go back and play those two titles. I'm not really going to review each game, there are websites for providing in-depth game reviews.
The Uncharted games have always looked top notch on the PS3 and these are no different. They've been slightly tweaked so that they output at a higher resolution, have a higher framerate, and take advantage of the PS4's more advanced hardware. It's isn't a big jump, Naughty Dog could have done a better job but I imagine they are knee deep in Uncharted 4, but it's still nice especially if you have a larger TV/display/projector.
This title is constantly on sale making its purchase rather easy, I think I picked mine up from Best Buy for $25. That's not bad for three AAA games in one release. The campaigns all take a while to beat so there's a lot of game play here for a rather low price. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't played the Uncharted games, missed out on a couple, or they want to refresh before Uncharted 4 comes out.

My wife uses this with her 2DS all the time for importing characters from amiibo figures. The process isn't as fast as using a new 3DS with built-in NFC but it's still fine. The batteries seem to drain rather quickly though, she normally has to replace them once every few weeks. I wish Nintendo would have gone with an integrated, rechargeable battery instead of using two AA batteries. That way she could just recharge it using any number of portable chargers and cables we have instead of always worrying about bringing at least one set of AA batteries.
Other than that, it's a nice product that allows older 3DS/2DS players to import characters using amiibo figures and cards without having to get a whole new console.

I've been using the Insignia surge protector for a month now and haven't had any issues with it. I have an Epson LCD projector, small Kegerator, counter top popcorn machine, and surround sound speaker system plugged into it and haven't had any glitches, trips, power losses, or damage to the equipment. You know a surge protector is working when you don't have to worry about it and I haven't had to worry about this.
I went with the Insignia surge protector as it had a flat plug for the AC prongs as my outlet is right up against the back of my couch leaving little room to plug anything else in. It was also inexpensive and had a large number of outlets for its price.

Deviates too much from source material

The people behind this movie wanted to make a Batgirl animated film, that's fine but they should not have chosen this story as the baseline for their movie. They shoehorned in something that wasn't in the source material and turned something that was supposed to be about the Joker into a Batgirl movie.
The parts of the movie that stick to the original source material are great. The voice acting is top notch as is the animation, it's definitely on par with previous DC animated movies that somehow do a better job with their characters than the recent live action films. But they dropped the ball with this one. They turned Batgirl into a rabid Batman fangirl and pushed James Gordon to the side.
The source comic shows the Joker's origin story and here, it just feels rushed and tacked on as the writers and director shifted the focus of the movie. They made Batgirl something that she isn't and forced a major aspect between her and Batman that just wasn't needed.
There are parts of The Killing Joke that are great, then there are other parts that made me cringe. I understand expanding on the source material as the comic was short and would have made a 30 minute movie. Maybe that's all this should have been though, a 30 minute short film bringing back Mark Hamill as the Joker and Kevin Conroy as Batman/Wayne one last time. It's sad that this will be their last movie when it could have been better.
I still think it's worth watching just to see the scenes that stick to the source.

Works great, can get stuck without magnetic strips

Overall, I am very pleased with the Neato Botvac D75. It does an excellent job picking up dirt, dust, hair, and grass from both my carpeted and hard floors. The Neato is able to map out each room and efficiently clean all the floors without leaving much behind. Setup is easy, simply place the charging base up against a wall and you're all set. The Neato will do the rest. I even like that it has straight vacuum lines in the carpet, unlike the iRobot vacuums that with start out cleaning in a circular pattern and then randomly go straight until they bump into something. The Neato actually maps things out and follows its own paths.
I thought the Neato was going to be smart enough to avoid going under my couch but it wasn't. The front half of the Neato fits but not the rest so it will keep going back and forth in the same spots without moving, getting slightly stuck and then freeing itself. It was annoying as I had to manually instruct the Neato to go home but then it lost the placement of its charging base.
I ended up putting the magnetic strips under my couch and that solved the problem. Now the Neato is able to clean my entire house while I'm gone without me coming home to a dead or stuck vacuum. It can get a little loud when cleaning, especially the hard floors but that's more of an acoustical anomaly as the sound is just bouncing everywhere.
For the price, I don't think this robotic vacuum can be beat. It comes with about 8 ft of magnetic strip, I suggest buying more. It also comes with two filters and enough other accessories that you won't have to buy them right away. You don't have to use the magnetic strip to mark off areas where there are drops (it's smart enough to avoid them) but it helps marking areas where the vacuum can get stuck.
I like coming home to clean floors and have the Neato setup to vacuum three times a week automatically. It's a luxury but one that saves me time so I don't have to deal with cleaning the floors.

I picked this up to hook my projector, home theater receiver, home theater speakers, TV receiver, and Phillips Bloom accent light all up to a power source. It hasn't tripped on me and I haven't experienced any power surges. My equipment has remained protected during the last couple of thunderstorms and nothing has been fried. I like the black color as it blends in better with the rest of my electronics. I do wish that it had more outlets for the price, especially ones that aren't so packed together. But that's OK, I have another surge protector to take care of the rest of my equipment.

Works fine for surfing, too much ping time

My home wi-fi doesn't quite reach the edge of my house, particularly my theater room. I tried using a wi-fi extender but it didn't really work, so I went with these. I have 300Mbps internet and I'm able to get a solid 120Mbps where I have the receiver installed. It's not bad and that's more than fast enough for gaming, video streaming, etc. My issue is that the ping time has increased drastically. It went from 5ms (what I get when I'm in range of my wi-fi) all the way up to 150ms. That means that Netflix has to really buffer before it can start streaming, gaming is downright impossible too.
I will probably keep these simply because it works good enough for my NAS storage unit. I had a 5 port gigabit ethernet switch hooked up to this so that my PS4, Xbox One, Apple TV, and NAS could all get fast internet in my home theater room. Now I'm running a grouping of ethernet wires through my wall to get to my consoles, my Apple TV is able to use my wi-fi connection just fine.
It could all be due to the wiring in my house as well. It's a little older so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I will likely replace this whole setup with a series of wi-fi extenders throughout my house once I have enough funding. Until then, this works OK.

Works great, could use some fine tuning

I followed the instructions that came with the Nest and had it installed in just a couple of minutes. Setup was a breeze as the Nest pretty much holds your hand through the process. I had it paired with my home's wi-fi and setup through the Nest app on my iPhone. I like that the Nest tries to decrease our cooling and heating bills by sensing when we are and aren't home.
My main complaint is that it wants to use temperatures that are too extreme for our dogs. The Nest wanted to let our house get up to 86 degrees in the summer and go down to 65 degrees in the winter, when we aren't home, before kicking the AC or heater on. That's too extreme for our dogs so I had to disable the energy efficiency setting for the AC. I didn't realize it was going to do this until I left to go to the store and came back after an hour to a house that was 80 degrees.
I do like being able to adjust the thermostat from my phone, the Nest is futuristic looking and stylish, and it now work with my Apple Watch. It's automatic energy savings features need to be tuned. I think it would be easier if Google/Nest just added a setting so you could tell the thermostat that you have pets. That way it doesn't get mad at me for not letting the house get above 75 degrees when we aren't there in the summer.
There are other thermostats that will work just as well as the Nest if all you want to do is control them from your phone when you're home or away. Get the Nest if you want the thermostat to learn when you're home and away so that you can shave back on your heating and cooling bills. It really has helped with the heating , not so much with the electricity for the AC.
