Buckcherry is back! I have loved these boys since the beginning. They've had some strong cds and some weak ones. I feel like this is one of the better ones. It has a total old school RocknRoll feel to it which I love! Upon my first listen, the only song I skipped was "wood". I was happy to see a Sammy Hagar cover on here too.
I discovered these guys a few years back when they released their debut. I fell in love with a good majority of that cd right from the get go. Some of the cd was a bit iffy. Now I love the whole thing. They have a great sound and Im glad they got rid of their old image (you know lol). First time hearing Monsters Ball I was let down. It sounded super cheesy. And I can't stand Carla's harsh vocals. At all. I bought this cd because I knew I had to. Im glad I did because it really isn't bad. There are a few surprises (Like a ballad). I can tell it will definitely grow on me... but right now I like their first cd a lot better.
A lot of people were disappointed with this release. I don't know why. It absolutely rips! My only critique is the album cover. Its pretty lame. Maybe everyone feels like it isn't dark enough for a helloween cd lol IDK. I would recommend anyone to buy it. Its a lot of fun to listen to
When Disturbed dropped the first single-- Vengeful One-- a couple weeks ago, it blew everyone's minds. Not only because its one of the best tracks this band has ever released, but because NOBODY knew they were back in the studio. So it is a pleasant surprise regardless of if the cd is good or not I think. But don't worry. This cd absolutely rocks!!!! Its what you would expect from Disturbed. Upon the first listen I thought this was one of the best releases this band has ever given us. Of course its new, so that might have something to do with it.
I will admit I am new to the band. So I can't judge this cd compared to their earlier releases. Apparently everyone was upset about the last cd, and a lot of the reviews are saying this new one is back to what everyone loves about this band. So I guess thats a good reason to buy it. As a new fan, I love the heaviness and the in-your-face sound these guys have on this release.
As many know, Mitch died. He penned one last song called "you can't stop me"..the band took it as a sign that they should continue on with a new lead singer. They snatched up the dude from All Shall Perish and created arguably their best cd yet. I love suicide silence. They are heavy and i love the screams. But this is by far their most diverse, well rounded release. Each song sounds different from the last (doesn't sound like the same song straight through for 40 mins lol) Buy it. Lots of fans are saying its their high water mark
I was really impressed with these guys. I saw their "alive" music video online and knew I had to have this release. Just look up that song. If that doesn't make you want to buy the album than i dunno what will. If you hate love songs don't let that get you down. Its the only one on the album lol
Yup. This is the chick that was Cindy Lou Who in the Grinch. All grown up. And fronting a rock band. She's beautiful yes, but don't let that make you skeptical. Listen to any of the songs off this release...they are all phenomenal!!!
