Not a bad monitor at all

This is the first Acer monitor that I have ever gotten and so far im impressed. Setup was quick and easy and it came with a VGA cable which is the reason i gave it 4 stars. I think at this price it should include an HDMI cable. There are other monitors with similar features and price points that offer one.
I was using a HP 23" monitor, but in comparison, this thing is big and bright. So bright in fact, the first thing i had to do after setup was adjust the settings. The screen is sharp, thin and very lightweight.
My plan is to use this for a double monitor setup for my PC, with this one being used for streaming TV shows or movies while working in my office when I am not working on two documents simultaneously.
This monitor has pretty good dark and vibrant bright colors. This may be due to the graphics card in my PC, but the visuals are quite good. I played several movies to see if there was any lag and I was surprised that it was minimal, which is fine given that it is primarily a computer monitor. It's widescreen display allowed me to open two documents on the screen at once and edit them with ease. Im pleasantly surprised by this monitor as I never considered Acer to offer quality monitors as I would normally go with HP, LG or Samsung. I dont think you can go wrong with this monitor although you will be able to find something similar in price and features that will include an HDMI cable.
All in all, i would recommend this monitor because of its colors, size and great overall display.

Perfect alternative backup option

I’ve had a couple days to play with this and I think it’s an excellent backup option. In this day and age of stolen data and corrupt hard drives, it’s not a bad idea to have several backups of your devices. I currently use iCloud and back my devices up to my MacBook, but this provides me with another option for particular data.
This device will not backup everything on your device, but it will backup your contacts, photos and videos. If you are looking for something that will backup and restore your enter device, this is not what you want.
I downloaded the app, plugged in the power cable, adjusted my backup settings and let her rip. I have a 256gb iPhone 7+ and although I’ve used about 125 gigs, most of that is music and apps so the 64 gig Sandisk drive was enough for me. The thing that makes this really simple is that you literally plug in your phone and open the app. The rest is done automatically. The flat top surface has good grip to it which lets you place your iPhone on it while it backs up the device. It’s almost as simple as using a charger, which this does also. I just plug it in at night and when I wake up the next morning, my phone is fully charged and my phone is backed up.
I have not tri d to restore anything yet as I just updated the iOS and wanted to play with it before I try it. So far I’m impressed and happy with this product.

Great quality, Ok performance

I’ve had this keyboard for about a day and there are some things I like and some things I wish would have been included with it.
First, i’ll discuss the likes. The quality of construction is incredible. It matches my iPad perfectly as you can see from the pictures. It’s solidly built and adds a little bit of weight to my iPad, but nothing unbearable. It attaches easily and is very sturdy. Ive never worried about my iPad slipping out of the clips. With my iPad attached, I can adjust the screen in multiple angles, including laying it flat on the desk if I choose.
The keyboard itself has a dedicated button for summoning Siri, which is cool and has worked 100% of the time for me. There is also a home button that will return you to your home screen with one press and then pull up control center with two presses. You can adjust both volume and brightness and lock your iPad via the keyboard also.
The most difficult thing I have to teach myself when using this keyboard is to remember there is no mouse pad beneath it. Each time I start typing and want to transition to something else, I find myself running my finger over the desktop or bottom of the keyboard in search of the mouse pad. I wish that wa the only negative I could say about this keyboard but it isnt.
First and foremost when you buy a keyboard like this, you want the typing aspect of it to work well. I will say I spent as much time hitting the delete button to correct my typos as I did typing. Somehow typing on this was much easier using the “hunt and peck” method as opposed to the standard method of placing your fingers on the “a,s,d,f and j,k,;, buttons. I found I made far less mistakes that way. There is a slight lag when typing sometimes, but it is by no means consistent. I type pretty fast and found myself having to double tap keys because the letter I typed wasn’t recognized.
I also had problems getting the keyboard to reconnect after turning my iPad off or closing it. Several times I had to delete the keyboard from my devices and re-pair it. I would have preferred this use Apple’s Smart Connection, which would have also solved the problem of me having to carry another cable to recharge it. I also would have liked to have a place to store my Apple Pencil. I realize this may not be an issue for some, but for me I use my pencil for a multitude of things and would have liked to be able to store it onboard somewhere. Not a deal breaker, but definitely a preference. In fairness, I’m not sure if there are any keyboard cases on the market that will store the pencil.
The last complaint I have is also more of a preference. I seldom, meaning never, carry any of my devices “naked.” I wish the clips on the keyboard would expand enough to allow me to put a slim case on it so I can avoid scratches. I normally toss my tablet in a backpack or briefcase along with other items and both my tablet and keyboard would scratched up pretty badly in under a couple of days.
All in all, the appearance of this keyboard make it a plus for anyone who cares how their accessories compliment their devices. It is a solid keyboard with some extra features like dedicated Siri, Lock and Home/Control Center buttons, and adjustable brightness. It definitely adds a little weight to the iPad, but its not unbearable. I would probably check around and compare some offerings from Logitech before I bought this one, but its a decent keyboard overall.

Great portable projector

I have had this for a few days now and I am pretty impressed with the overall performance of this projector. It is lightweight, ultra portable and has some great features built into it. It comes with the projector, VGA cable, USB Cable, remote control and a bag to store it all in.
This thing has a built in wireless module that you can use to broadcast media from your tablet, phone or computer. It works will in rooms that are well lit as well as dark rooms because of the 3600 lumens it projects. This projector is ideal for use with presentations, but can be used for video playback, but you will experience some lag in the playback. I played a PowerPoint presentation that had a video that I downloaded from YouTube and there was a noticeable lag in the playback.
There are manual adjustments to sharpen and widen the picture, automatic and manual keystone correction and great 1080p resolution. I was also happy to see that it worked well my MacBook. The instructions tell you how to make this operable on a Mac and it was pretty simple. It also has a speaker built in to the unit, which really doesn't play audio all that loud, but you do have the option of using an HDMI cable or audio cables to output the sound to some speakers or stereo receiver.
All in all, this is a very good projector and I would certainly recommend it.

Love this keyboard

I've been using a Logitech K800 keyboard recently after replacing a previous Logitech wireless keyboard. This came in a nice, sleek box with the usb-c cable, instruction booklet and usb dongle for your PC/MAC. This keyboard is definitely made of quality materials.
I plugged in the dongle, turned on the keyboard and I was up in running in a couple of minutes. I downloaded the option software that the booklet mentions that allowed me to customize the keyboard for specific programs that I use. Such as scrolling in Excel, changing fonts in Word and adjusting the volume of my speakers. One of the features that I really like is the way the backlight on the keys automatically cuts on when it senses my hands above it and then automatically adjusts itself based on the lighting in the room. This will definitely help save the battery life. Ive used mine for about 2 or 3 days and just plugged it in before i left my office for the weekend, so i'm not sure how much life I will get per charge.
If i had one complaint, it would be that I wish the overall keyboard was a little bit bigger for a full-size keyboard. Not a deal breaker for me. The keys are pretty quiet to the touch, very responsive and I have yet to notice any lag when typing. Overall, this is a great keyboard, with plenty of customization and great build quality. I would definitely recommend this keyboard

I've heard so much about how great the Bose QC35's are and I honestly have never really been that impressed. Their headphones aren't particularly stylish to look at and the sound quality was ok, but nothing that would make me put my JBL's Everest's or even Plantronics Back Beat Pro's down. That is until I got my hands on these bad boys.
These headphones are still really not that impressive to look at, but the noise cancellation and well-balanced sound, make these my go to headphones now. I had my 5 and 7 year old sons jump around and scream while i had played some jazz music and while i could still hear them, i was pleasantly surprised how well these still performed. I already had the Bose Connect app and really liked being able to adjust the amount of noise cancellation, rename the headphones and play with some of the settings. When i first paired them, a quick tutorial popped up on how to use the buttons, activate Siri or Google Assistant, pairing, etc.
If you are looking for a bass heavy headphone, these aren't it. These headphones provide a well-balanced sound through the mids, highs and lows. Im a little older now, so I don't care as much for the heavy bass as much as i used to. I like being able to actually distinguish between the instruments, hear the breathing when a singer takes a breath and just the overall quality of music. These headphones provide those features for me.
I found the controls much easier to use than on my JBL Everest 750NC's and pairing was pretty simple as well. I am really amazed at how lightweight these are as well. I really expected them to be heavier, but i wore them for a couple of hours and felt no fatigue at all.
I am headed on a business trip to the west coast here soon and I can't wait to give these a real test. The headphones come with a usb charging cable, 3.5mm headphone cable and a hard carrying case. The case has a convenient diagram of how you fold the headphones for storing them. If you are in the market for a new pair of headphones in this price range, i would definitely recommend you give these a try. I have been really impressed with these.

Powerful little vacuum

This is my second shark vacuum cleaner and for its size, its pretty powerful. Assembly was simple and it comes with four attachments for various uses. I wish I could clip all of them onto the vacuum, but there is only room for two.
It does ok on hard floors, but on carpet with the brush roll powered on, it shows its true power. It picks up very well for a machine this lightweight, but leaves something to be desired on hard floors.
You can also remove the canister to use on stairs, but with the short cord, you aren't going to go too far. The base kept tipping over when the canister was removed from the base, which was rather annoying. All in all, this is a pretty nice vacuum. This vacuum is ideal for smaller areas because of the small bin.
I gave it four stars for the short power cord and because the base tips with the canister removed, but I would recommend it.

Fast scanning, but not if you have a Mac

My wife and I have a small business buying, renovating and renting single-family homes. With that comes writing leases, service contracts, loan docs, as well as keeping track of receipts for tax purposes. We used the Neat Scanner until they switched to an annual subscription service. Then we tried using an Epson All-in-One machine that printed well, but scans were tedious and slow. Now we have this scanner and I must say that it is a beast.
I primarily use a MacBook for the business documents and tried relentlessly to get it to work with my laptop. After many google hits, YouTube videos and contacting Epson, I was still unable to get it to work. Epson responded with some troubleshooting tips that didn’t work. I finally took a look at the system requirements on their website and it says Windows, although they have an entire section dedicated to Apple connectivity and there are software downloads available for the operating system. I’m hoping there is some third-party software available to use with my MacBook.
The footprint is small, setup is quick and simple and scanning with the DS-860 is fast and clear. The first time I scanned something, I clicked to preview it and it was really poor quality, which concerned me until I actually scanned the document. The quality was clear and it scanned super-fast. I did play with the settings to find the best resolution, while keeping the files small. It has OCR software that allows you to search for words instead of trying to read through the entire document searching for what you are looking for.
I did notice when scanning business cards, that it didn’t always get everything written on the bottom. I turned the card upside down and it did better, but still disappointing. Not a deal breaker for me as I normally key the information into my contacts. Most importantly, I can now scan all of the bills from each creditor into a file and shred the mountains of paper that my wife refuses to get rid of for fear of the internet crashing and not being able to get a cellphone bill from 1992.
Now for the negatives. For this price point, I would think it would have wireless networking included and better management software. What I loved about the Neat that I paid $200 for, is the software. It would scan receipts, recognize where it was from and categorize them. I could then edit them and put them into separate folders. Hopefully I can find some third-party software that will give me the same benefits as the Neat system. I would also like to be able to use this with my MacBook. I am now tied to my Windows PC, which is a bummer.
All things considered, if you are a Windows user, with lots of receipts or documents to scan, this is a no-brainer. Its speed and ease of use make it a mandatory piece of office equipment. I gave it four stars for lack of Mac support.

Love the Keurig brand

This is my third Keurig unit and I must say these are fantastic. The other units I have are much bigger and I use them in my kitchen and my office at work. My wife likes to wake up and have her first cup of coffee in bed and since the other two units are larger, this one fit perfectly in the sitting room in our bedroom.
After completely washing the unit and its parts, it was pretty easy to setup. It even came with a sample pack of K-cups to try out. This works great for us as my wife likes her coffee a lot stronger than I do and we can adjust the strength on top of the unit. It also beats making a pot of coffee that will most likely go to waste based on our separate tastes. If I'm in the mood for hot cocoa or tea and she wants some coffee, we can both get what we want. I'm definitely a fan of Keurig although some of their devices are a bit on the pricey side, I prefer them for the convenience. There are multiple suppliers of K-cups that you can buy and you can also buy an adapter that lets you use regular coffee grounds as opposed to buying K-cups.
I would definitely recommend this unit.

It's just ok, nothing really special

This DVD player has all of the bells and whistles to match today's technology. 3D, 4K, Blu-ray, wireless streaming, etc, etc. I connected this to an Epson projector through my Yamaha receiver and also to my Hitachi 4K TV. Both were impressive, although the Hitachi provided an overall better quality picture.
With that being said, I'm just not sure that I really have a need for a DVD player anymore. I can stream just about any movie I want to watch through my DirecTv, my PC, Apple TV or whatever. 4K DVD's cost upwards of $25-$30 and most of the time, I may only watch a movie once or twice. It will get to a point when I have to ask, how much better or a picture do I need? How much more space am I going to take up storing DVD's and CD's when I can get digital versions at any time?
To get back to the review, the DVD player itself works well and was easy to setup and has some ability to improve the viewing experience within settings. I played a few Blu-ray actions movies and found them pretty good, but that will also depend on the TV you are using and not just the DVD player. Not sure this is worth $300, but if you must have a device that plays and streams 4K content, this isn't a bad choice. I cant say that I would recommend it unless you have a preference for hard copies of your media versus streaming options. If you do, then this may work for you, but for me, I'll pass.

The brightness is adjustable. It can give off light equivalent to a standard 60 watt bulb (default) but with the app, you can make the light brighter. If I remember correctly, its about 2400 lumens. For example, a 60 watt bulb is about 750-850 lumens.

I had that problem too initially, but I took the phone out and re-installed the phone into the case paying careful attention to making sure that the volume/vibrate button was installed correctly in the slot. Once i did that, the mic must have lined up the way it was supposed to and I havent had any problems since. Hope that helps.
