Upgrade from the rabbit ears

After reading other reviews for this type of antenna, I went for the Rocketfish. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was far from the most expensive. I'm pretty happy with the fact that I'm getting more than twice the number of channels than with my rabbit ears & less digital noise/breakdown. I'm using a 50" flatscreen and some channels are in perfect HD. I get 24 stations, most of which come in uninterrupted.

The Verbatum DVD+Rs are a pretty safe bet when it comes to blank discs. The different colored discs are nice if you're doing batches, but the space they've provided to write on them is quite small. Fortunately, they don't have a bunch of other junk printed on them, so one can "color outside the lines".

Just watching Chevy Chase in his various disguises, spouting his various pseudonyms is funny enough. FLETCH embodies an era of comedy that is all-but over. Although it often feels like Fletch is winking to the camera throughout, he doesn't really cross that line. A funny story that doesn't utterly depend on whether or not you can catch a bunch of pop culture references.

As a lifelong horror fan, I tend to find most modern horror NOT to my liking. The 1st SAW flick must get its due, however, as it was one of the horror films that got the genre back on the map for the 21st century. That said, I think it gets worse every time I watch it. However! I find the rest of the series thoroughly entertaining. By maybe the 5th film the franchise has essentially become a gory soap opera with more flashbacks within flashbacks than can be gotten straight, but it certainly serves to string you along. This set is perfect because it's decently priced, only takes up one spot on my shelf AND includes the digital copies for all the movies.

UNFORGIVEN was a vital rejuvenation of the western genre, one of the oldest in cinematic history. Deconstructing a mythical gunman by picking up with him in his decrepit, drunken "old age" without being pretentious or ruining the style of story it was commenting on makes this a fantastic, timeless film. And certainly a palatable western for folks who say they don't like "those kinda movies".
And Clint is basically a butt-kicking piece of dried-out beef jerky in this... Awesome.
