An very human X-Men movie

I'm no fan of X-Men movies. The characters seem too far fetched to relate to. However, in this one, the X-Men (and children) seem very human with very human emotions, regardless of their superhuman powers. Thus the movie pulls you into the relatable, emotional world of these X-Men.

A superhero movie for those who don't like them.

Generally I find superhero movies just plain silly and stay away from them. In this movie the superhero, true to the genre, does all kinds of superhero, unbelievable things, but does them deliberately in a silly way, spoofing superheroes while being a convincing superhero. It makes the movie a lot of fun.

Missing Michael and Selena relationship

At its beginning, this 5th movie of the Underworld series has an extensive recap of the first 4 movies. A viewer thereby can generally understand the back story for this 5th movie without have seen the previous ones.
For me, a point of interest in the earlier movies was the relationship between Selena and Michael. Michael is no longer around in movie 5, and thus that's a loss for the plot.
Nevertheless, in 5, Selena (Kate Beckinsale) remains the lethal, visually stunning female superhero (in a world of vampires and werewolves) that she was in the earlier movies.

But there's nothing supernatural about the horror, no disfigured monsters crawling out of wells or TVs. The horror is the actions of otherwise normal looking people who have undergone or commit mind control. Race plays a big, if somewhat opaque, role, and sometimes race plays a comedic role. The movie begs to be seen multiple times to figure out just what its intent is.

This is an unblinking look of the late 19th century western territory that is today South Dakota. It's a society dominated by violent white men on both sides of the law, a society in which Native Americans, Chinese, blacks and women are assumed inferior. The series is raw, profane, and lawlessly violent, and thus seems very authentic. The characters are complex, the good becoming at times the bad, and the villains showing at times a sense of caring for others.
The series has only 3 seasons, although it deserves to be a longer series.

This movie is a charming and gentle story. At its beginng, It seems to have the traditional romantic comedy plot line: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, and you know the rest. But this rom-com has something exceptional at its core, an eccentric, phobic, antisocial, reclusive and somewhat unhinged Howard Hughes, played by Warren Beatty. In the employ of this unpredictable Hughes, the young woman and young man try to find their separate and proper ways. The young woman is a Hughes starlet, the young man is her driver, and they are forbidden to socialize. And you think you know the rest, expect the central figure Hughes is so unconventional that you're left guessing to the end about the couple's fate. This is a funny movie with just a touch of sadness.

The specifications for the 455Ms is 10 minutes continuous run time. While I haven't watched the clock while shredding, my sense is you'll get longer than 10 minutes if there are any pauses between page feeds. Again, I haven't put a stop watch to the cool down time, but I'm guessing it may be 15 minutes or longer.
