Great visuals, complex story line

This movie has great scenes of Florence and Venice, Italy, and of Istanbul, Turkey. You get a true sense of those cities in close ups and panoramic views.
Many of the main characters, other than the Tom Hanks lead, change their moral standing (good vs bad guy) in the course of the film. If you enjoy keeping track of who did what when and why, you'll enjoy the movie. For me, it makes for a rather overly complex puzzle of a movie.

It's hard to believe that under the stressful situations this movie presents, people would really act the way they do, just keep doing their job. Most of us would run away, first chance.
This movie has two themes: the pushing of stocks on television to the general, naive public; the fraudulent manipulation of stock prices by corrupt corporations. Neither theme is fully developed.

More interesting than most car chases

As car chase movies go, this is an interesting one. The driving looks like real world driving instead of cars flying through the air between buildings and being dropped out of airplanes. "Baby," the main character, is actually someone whose personal life you, the viewer, might care about, and his personal development is a big part of the movie. But it's still a car chase movie, not my favorite type of movie.
The sound track has a dominant role. In most movies, the sound track is secondary to the visual action. In this movie the visuals are synced to the sound track, and that adds some interest.

Not that young any more but still funny

In this, the 10th season, the characters have lost a bit of the youthful energy of earlier seasons. Their behavior and reactions have become somewhat predictable, and they've grown physically older, even chubby. Age does that. None the less, the actors are still committed enough to their characters to make them enjoyable, and this 10th season is still funny.

This is a great science fiction series, with very convincing performances by Tatiana Maslany for about a half dozen very different characters. She plays those individual roles so convincingly that you forget it's the same actor behind each. This final season gives closure to the series, some of it sad and some of it happy, just like real life. The remarkable aspect of this series is that the science fiction aspect is very strong, yet the human behavior and emotions are just as strong.

Kong a better actor than humans

I'd give the human actors in Kong a so-so rating of about 3, and spectacular Kong a 5, averaging to 4 stars.
The human actors don't seem scared enough when they're in danger, and they don't seem relieved enough when they've eluded danger. They're acting isn't very convincing.
Kong, on the other hand, is completely convincing in his appearance
and in his behavior. Credit spectacular computer artistry for those qualities. When he's enraged, he truly rages, as in his battles with colossal monsters. When he nurses his wounds, he is a stoic warrior, who nonetheless knows pain. And when he feels sympathy for the humans he encounters, you feel his compassionate side.

This is the story -- based on an actual person -- of a man who has to follow his obsession with discovering lost civilizations in the unexplored South American Amazon jungle in the early 1900s. When he does so, risking his own life, his efforts are acts of courage. When he thereby puts his family members in jeopardy, one might reach another verdict. This is an adventure thriller, 2 and 1/2 hours long, which, however, never seems less than compelling viewing, with great visuals and great character portrayals.

I enjoyed the first 2/3s of this movie. We watch how someone deals with waking prematurely from sleep hibernation and realizing that for the remaining decades of his life he will be living alone in the sterile, confined, unnatural environment of a space ship. We watch how that stranded person deals with the possibility of including another person in his life, ending his loneliness but dooming that person to the same fate of living out her life in that unnatural container that is the space ship. That part was novel and interesting.
The last 1/3 of the movie is watching the struggle of man (and, in this case, woman) against malfunctioning space ship machinery. That theme is pretty common in space travel movies, going back to "2001: A Space Odyssey" and including all the recent ones. That theme turns the movie from a unique psychological examination of loneliness into just another space travel action thriller with exploding space ship pieces, and makes the movie less interesting.
But the majority of the movie is interesting.

Fellowes 455Ms Micro-Cut shredder disappointed me.

This shredder disappointed me in two ways:
Disappointment 1. The Best Buy website specifies that this shredder cuts pieces down to 5/64 x 5/16 inches. Using those numbers, I ordered this shredder thinking that it would shred paper into pieces smaller than the pieces produced by the Fellowes 10MC shredder I already had. That 10MC shredder's information on the box states it produces a shredded piece size of 7/64 x 25/64 inches. When I picked up my 455Ms order and brought it home, I noted that the specifications for it (listed on the box) gave a shredded piece size of 1/8 x 13/32 inches (i.e., 8/64 x 26/64 inches) which is appreciably larger than the 5/64 x 20/64 inches the Best Buy website gives. And, indeed, when I look at the output of the Fellowes 455Ms and the output of the Fellowes 10MC, the smallest pieces of the 455Ms appear to be no smaller than the smallest pieces from the 10MC. Thus I didn't get the smaller pieces I was hoping for with the 455Ms.
But the 1/8 x 13/32 inch pieces are still pretty small, way smaller than standard cross cut. So I decided to keep the 455Ms. It's quieter and runs longer than the 10MC, per specifications, before needing a cool down.
Disappointment 2: But after running the 455Ms extensively, a 2nd disappointment appeared. A few of the shredded pieces after doing a lot of shredding were considerably larger than the 1/8 x 13/32 inches. They would be double that 1/8 inch width and a few inches long. These pieces seemed to occur when 5 or 6 pages of paper were fed into the shredder and placed in the slot slightly askew, so that the shredder would rub the page edges against the shredder slot ends and fold or curl over the paper edges onto themselves as the shredder pulled the paper bunch down. The 455Ms seems to require very straight up and down insertion of pages to avoid generating the occasional larger piece, something that's hard to do consistently unless you're working very carefully.
My solution to this problem which occurred when page edges were rubbing against the shredder slot ends and curled onto themselves was to cut pages in half lengthwise or crosswise so that these half pages could be fed into the shredder without contacting the shredder slot ends. But this cutting of the pages in half is an extra step.
I would note that with the Fellowes 10MC shredder I don't have to avoid having the pages rub against the ends of the shredder slot. I don't have to prepare the sheets by cutting them in half. Even with a bit of rubbing of pages against the shredder slot ends and some curling over of the pages, the 10MC produces uniformly tiny pieces.

An exceptionally moving film about family

The first 40 minutes of this film can be hard to watch, following a 5 year old, very poor Asian Indian boy, separated from his family, lost, scared, and running from some unpleasant people. The remainder of the film is that same boy now grown up in Australia, in a loving, well off, adopted family. But the young man can't find peace because he still longs for his lost Indian family. This film looks at the bonds of family in a very sincere way. This is a film in which the viewer can be forgiven for shedding a tear.

How much run time? How much shut down time (to allow it to "cool off")? Thx
The specifications for the 455Ms is 10 minutes continuous run time. While I haven't watched the clock while shredding, my sense is you'll get longer than 10 minutes if there are any pauses between page feeds. Again, I haven't put a stop watch to the cool down time, but I'm guessing it may be 15 minutes or longer.
