Small unit with big sound

Small, portable PA with digital indicator panels for the volume levels but still physical turn knobs. Designed to balance standing at straight vertically or tilted at an angle to aim sound. Handles are placed in good locations to make carrying the PA easy.
Can use XLR or aux input cables, or Bluetooth. For live sound, I didn’t try Bluetooth due to the risk of lagging, but playing music off my phone for a background track worked really well.
The Bose music app made setup extremely easy, as you literally just follow the on screen steps and the app readily located and connected. No hassle.
Sound quality with a Shure SM58 and my Taylor 414 hooked up was great. Loud enough to use as an standalone unit for our small congregation. At home, I hook it up so my son can use with his electronic drum set. Connecting the e drums is as simple as plugging in an AUX cable (cable not included). The box does include, however, wireless adapters for mic and instruments.
Small unit with big clear sound I expect from Bose, I am very happy with how this unit carries and performs.

My wife loves this purifier

Air purifiers have become “the new thing” ever since the pandemic I feel like. Lots of air purifiers with varying levels of purification ratings, and the Blueair does not disappoint. It’s essentially hospital-grade because it’s rates to catch even airborne viruses with the HEPA filter.
For our home, all of us, including our two kids, have terrible allergies. And where we live, cedar and oak are basically active all year long. So we have had to put purifiers in every room.
So our experiences with different purifiers is based on real world actual data (my kids being able to sleep at night).
Hands down, the best feature I’d the Blueair is that it is quiet. Not a “quiet” if you run at the lowest fan speed, but truly quiet. Our room doesn’t sound like a jet engine at night. In addition, the brightness of the lights are dimmable! Why other companies don’t think that a glaring bright blue/white light blasting in the room is okay is beyond me, but that was a common complaint with other filters because my wife is a light sleeper and sensitive to light.
I set the filter to auto, and I haven’t had a sniffly nose at night since. Cant recommend enough.

So convenient

Personal grooming seems to be a new push for a lot of companies. I have a drawer full of various clippers, razors, groomers, that I have purchased. We’ve got a his and hers sink, but gadgets take up real estate.
The Conair all-in-one metal groomer has such an elegant design, both aesthetically and functionally. The magnetic head design is so simple and clean, and it works so well. After using this, it really made me wonder why nobody else has done this before. The nose and ear hair trimmer attachment is patented, and I noticed it immediately. The blade is closed, so you don’t have to worry about cutting yourself. But most of all, the way the blades actuate, I never once felt any pulling. Which, if you have ever used a cheap nose hair trimmer, you know how much that hurts.
Pull off the attachment, and swap in seconds to the foil and I can shave and clean up side burns. My morning routine is done all with one simple device.
I don’t grow a beard, so I can’t speak to the beard clipping attachment, but from the attachments I did use, everything worked excellently.
I highly recommend and it’ll replace multiple devices while taking up a fraction of the space.

Functional personal ear and nose hair trimmer

Personal hair trimmers are a dime a dozen, or so I thought.
Design: sharp edges that give a masculine vibe, which fits given the overall naming and innuendo of the company’s products. No soft, rounded, corners here, the Manscaped personal ear and nose hair trimmer definitely has a more angular design. The on/off button is outlined in a nice silver, and it’s easy to hold. The only issue I had was the sliding button was a little too hard to move due to the flat recessed design.
Performance: I (thankfully?) don’t have significant enough ear hair to where I would require routine trimming, so I can’t speak to that specific aspect. For nose hair trimming though, I noticed I didn’t have any pulled hairs, which is a definite plus. I also noticed that I didn’t have to make as many passes to catch any missed hairs. Being able to use the trimmer in the shower was also a big plus, as you can just rinse off the trimmer and not have to worry about leaving pieces of hair on the sink to be cleaned up.
Overall thoughts: does what it’s supposed to well.

Perfect for my kid

Several of my kid’s friends have gotten hoverboards, and I was looking into them for my child. However, the e bike went faster than most hover boards, and skills transferred to riding a real bike.
Very simple and intuitive, my kid was able to transition seamlessly from riding his regular bicycle to the e bike for fun. Controls are clustered by the right handlebar, with rubber tactile buttons to turn on/off and to control the speed. Battery life is indicated by a row of blue led lights.
The bike lasts for several hours on a charge; to the point where the neighborhood kids have all taken turns and we never once had an issue with the power running out. Top speed hits 9 mph at the faster setting for my 6 year old. Not crazy fast, but certainly fast enough to keep young children (safely) entertained.
We’ve taken this thing out around the neighborhood on roads and sidewalks, to parks on dirt and grass, and it runs very well.
The red on our bike is matched on the handlebars, the handlebar guard at the center post, the main body housing the battery and engine, and the foot rests. Looks great and makes the bike easy to spot.
Highly recommend.

Peace of mind while driving

Nextbase’s newest generation dashcam fixed a lot of the nitpicking issues I had with my previous models. I loved the stability and modularity of the Nextbases so much I put one in both my car as well as my wife’s car.
What issues did I have? Well, videos even in daylight with my models from a few years ago were crisp, until I tried to zoom in and catch license plates during videos taken during incidents.
The 622GW adds digital image stabilization for clearer images despite the vibrations that occur when you get hit. In addition, What3Words is baked into the unit. For those unfamiliar, it’s an app that uses three key words to provide precise geolocation during an emergency. Takes the guesswork out of telling dispatch, “I rolled my car in the rain and I’m in a ditch somewhere off the road” and instead allows them to find you much more accurately with only the three words.
Also, on my previous models, I had to buy separate polarizing filters for the cameras, but this year, in the 622GW, the filters are built in.
With a side slot that allows you to add modules (sold separately) you can get a specific rear camera for the interior (like for ride-sharing security) or rear facing to record behind your car. No separate software to install, you literally just plug in the module and it’s good to go.
Firmware updates are easy through the MyNextbase app, which also lets you live view, review/save videos, and check on your sd card memory or even format all from the app.

Convenience of wireless with solid sound quality

My computer nook that doubles as my home work space is in an odd corner, so space is limited. I’ve been trying to streamline and maximize my space to make it at least viable for work and gaming on my pc.
I initially had a wired set of headphones with active cooling in the cups, which worked great. The downside is the cable was short so it left a mess of tangles with my other dongles and cables.
I upgraded to the Roccat, and it’s been so convenient.
The Roccat Syn Max Air comes with a magnetic stand that also serves as the wireless receiver and charging stand for the headphones.
One thing I noticed and have come to appreciate greatly is that the cups have memory foam for cushioning. The memory foam doesn’t crush my glasses against my temples and still feels very comfortable after hours of use.
Sound quality is nice; decent range and didn’t sound tinny at all. The mic is removable which is also a nice feature.
For connectivity, I tested the headset with my pc and my ps5, and the set worked flawlessly with both.
First world problems with cable management, I know. But the wireless headset has been a welcome change for my setup, and the set feels comfortable even when wearing glasses.

Quiet, smooth, gets the job done

I’m probably a little biased because I have and have owned several appliances and devices from Shark, and I have been very happy with all of them.
The ION doesn’t have laser tracking, so it’s got the traditional “bump and go” path finding of running up to walls and furniture, then turning in ninety degrees to make its way around. The sensors seem more advanced than others though, as it slows down enough to not slam into obstacles.
Cleaning strength - there’s a normal and a “max” clean mode. The normal mode was so quiet my wife actually commented on how pleasant it was. But the cleaning strength was significantly weaker than other vacuums, as I watched it run over a small piece of debris multiple times and not pick it up. When I pressed the button to switch to Max clean, however, the Shark ION easily swept up that same piece of debris. Even on max clean, though, I was pleasantly surprised that the noise didn’t jump up significantly.
As far as I’m concerned, this is another example of Shark quality and an appliance working exactly as advertised. We’re very happy

Charges everything in one spot

Maglock automatically grabs and sets Apple iPhone, Apple Watch, and my ear buds all in one place. White color looks clean on my nightstand, and unlike other watch charging stations, I don't have to use my own apple cable. Pull the stand out of the box, plug it in, and you're literally done with the entire setup. Couldn't be any simpler. I own multiple Anker iQ smart charging plugs, and the station seems to charge my iPhone around the same time. I've been able to replace and clean up several charging cords, bases, etc., with just this one stand.
The stalk(?) of the charging stand that holds up the phone and watch is sufficiently high enough that I never felt like my iPhone 13 Pro Max was overlapping or getting in the way of me grabbing my earbud case from the bottom of the stand. Even more so for the watch, the watch hands high enough that I could comfortably grab it and go without snagging on anything.
I have no cons with this charging stand, and would wholeheartedly recommend.

Loud fans, but high settings on any game

Seems like everyone wants to make a gaming laptop nowadays. Omen was a niche legendary name amongst gaming PCs back in the day, and then they were bought by HP.
The first thing that stands out are the clean lines. No extraneous giant alien heads lighting up the cover *ahem* nor eye-burning LED lights flashing on the outside. Nice, matte feel, with a, dare I say, classy, logo on the bottom right of the casing.
The speakers are grouped at the top of the keyboard case, and a bang & Olufsen logo sits on the bottom left of the palm rest area. Aesthetics are highly subjective, but I’m a big fan of industrial looks. Also, I’m able to take this laptop to work without it sticking out like a sore thumb. Ports are all located in the back, without any USB ports along the sides. Again, keeps everything looking clean even when you have devices plugged in.
Feel: the keys have a nice smooth travel, and don’t stick at all. No clicky noises like on cherry Mx, but that’s not a bad thing in this case. The keys do however, to me, feel like they’re just slightly too small. I found myself making some typing errors while trying to draft documents for the first few days. Not cramped like a mini keyboard, but also not a 100% 1-1 transfer like on a thinkpad.
Performance: this is where this laptop shines. On cinemark, the 8 core Ryzen was hitting 12600+, which put it only under the AMD threadripper CPUs. Graphically, I was getting no stuttering on high settings on Witcher 3 and cyberpunk. Yes cyberpunk is old, but the new update had me curious and I went back in to check it out.
That being said, one knock on this unit is that the fans get pretty loud under load. If just browsing or watching Netflix, it was fine. But any time I tried to play any games that were remotely graphics heavy, the fans kicked into high gear. Kind of an expected trade off, t get this level of performance in a laptop form factor.
