A new twist on an awesome platform

The Bose QC 34 series II is a slight upgrade from their series I with some very nice added features plus lets not forget Google assistant. If you have ever owned a Bose QC line or anything similar then you know Bose is known for their awesome sound quality and noise cancellation. Out of the box your going to recieve a typical carrying case, micro usb charging cable and a 3.5mm audio cable for direct audio connection. My one complaint right off the bat is the annoying charging cable that appears to be to short. The headset is not much different then its fellow companion in the QC line. You have a very nice matte finish with a very thick support cushion for your head and ear, after all it does have comfort in the name. And let me tell you this is very comfortable and hands down my favorite headset for long road trips. You'll find the power/pairing button on the right earcup, pairing is done quickly and can be accomplished via Bluetooth or NFC. Bose also offers a free downloadable app that allows some customization such as noise cancellation level, and action button assignment but more importantly allows for updates for your headset. The noise cancellation through the app only offered 3 settings, on/off, high, and low. On the outer edge of the right earcup is the standard three button set up with the top and bottom buttons being for volume control and the center button serves as a multi-function tool allowing you to halt playback, pick up phone calls, etc. Now phone conversation through the headset is ok. While talking through the headset i could hear the other person and they could hear me but the sound just didn't sound clear. It felt as if i was on speaker phone or the person on the other end was holding the phone far away from their mouth. Call quality wasn't that great so i wouldn't bank on making too many phone calls on this device. Now on the left earcup there is an added action button that wasn't on the series I line. If you use the google assistant app then this is where the headphones really take a cool turn. With the action button it is almost limitless what you can do through your google assistant. Pressing the button once will cause it to chime in and tell you what the current time is, holding it down will bring up your assistant where you can do anything from checking text messages to playing your favorite audio tracks. The design behind this is to be able to access your phone through google assistant all without having to ever touch your phone. Im not exactly sure if it will allow the same set up for Apple users through siri but i know it works very well with the google assistant. I took this headset to the gym to workout and i had my music on, in the middle of my workout my assistant chimes in to let me know that i had a text message, who it was from and then asked if i would like it read to me. I thought this was really cool considering i didnt even have to pick up my phone and could continue working out while listening to my text message. And yes you can reply back through your assistant but i was at the gym and didn't want to look like i was talking to myself so you may want to reply back normally through your phone. Lets talk about the sound for a minute. I own a few other Bose headsets and while their sound quality is good they have never really been to strong or big on the side of deep bass quality. This headset however is phenomenal, all my highs and mids were crisp and clean without being distorted one bit through Bluetooth but the deep bass sounded soooo much better then its predecessors. It seemed louder and deeper without taking away from my vocals or other sound. I could still very clearly hear my lyrics while picking up on my percussion, horns and other highs. I think things sound better because of the noise cancellation which by the way is something i like quite a bit. Some people think the Active noise cancellation effects sound quality but i feel it helps to enhance it. Think it about for a second, you have very little to almost no outside noise coming in to pollute the sound quality coming out of your headset. Now at the highest setting noise cancellation is almost gone. For the most part i really didnt hear anybody talking when i was at the gym, however i did notice it struggled a bit with the higher pitches. When i was riding the train to work, the whistle from the train seemed to pierce the headphones more then i thought it should of. Not a big inconvenience but just know your not going to get complete sound cancellation depending on the pitch. The 3.5mm cable allows you to hook up directly to your phone which then allows you to go into passive mode conserving battery life. I personally found this cable useless seeing as how there is no button to skip tracks and sound quality dropped drastically in passive mode due to the headset disabling Bose's signature DSP ( Digital Signal Processing). You would think the sound quality would be better considering your hard wired in but the opposite is true due to the fact it is trying to preserve its life. Now you get a claimed 20 hours of battery life and so far that seems about true. Im at about 15 hours of usage and still haven't had to charge the headset. All in all this is hands down the best line for Bose in the QC line up and is easily a no brainier for any music lover. I love how the google assistant almost practically makes this headset the first ever smart headphone set out there. Rather your an avid music lover or a person that loves to travel you just cant go wrong with this headset what so ever. Having an assistant at your beck and call to help navigate your phone all hands free is a big added bonus for me.
Pros:
-Superb sound quality
-So far the best noise cancellation on the market
-Great battery life
-Google assitant
-Great comfort for long listening
Cons:
-Very short usb cable
-only 3 levels of noise cancellation

Finally a true killer enabled wifi router
on September 24, 2017
Posted by: Crasher
from littleton, Colorado
The Linksys wrt 32x gaming router offers a wider variety of gaming options that should please any gamer out there. Lets talk about some of the key features and if this is going to be a right set up for you. First off this is probably hands down one of the nicest looking routers i own and have probably ever seen. It comes with everything your going to need to set up your WiFi and instructions to help you access your built in UI and ssid. You have the ability to name each line individually or combine them together. Set up is easy and takes a matter of minutes, aside from looks this seems to be a typical dual band router with few exceptions. You have your 2.5 ghz low band and your 5Ghz high stream. You have 4 Ethernet gig ports on the back side which is kinda of a nice little upgrade, 3.0 usb port for upgraded speed, and a eSAT/USB 2.0 port. In reality this is a standard router but where it stands out is in two areas, its killer mode hardware and built in dual core processor unit and firmware. Lets talk about killer software for a second. In the gaming world only very high end pcs and laptops offered this feature as part of there built ins. At the time it first came out it was supposed to have offered the ability to have smother gaming with less lag and lower ping with a higher FPS (Frame rate Per Second). I bought in to the hype and purchased a high end alien ware laptop with killer built in. Like many people out there i was pretty disappointed and felt a little cheated seeing as how i didn't not see enough improvement to justify the price tag. However all that has changed with the introduction of the Linksys wrt 32x. Now my laptop actually has something to work with that will allow a more open UI between my hardware and network. Now with the Linksys interface opened up, the killer software allows you to prioritize all devices connected in a three tier set up. You have high, normal and low priority tiers. What makes this nice is it doesn't matter if your gaming through wifi or a dedicated Ethernet cable, all gaming devices can be set to high priority. Now what this means is your laptop or pc will get maximum bandwidth above all other devices and will be deemed a necessity. In return this helps to reduce bandwidth that is taken away from people streaming videos, music, etc. The end result is a lower ping and higher speed. I wanted to put this to the test so i used a laptop with killer built in and a PC without killer. I performed both test wired and non wired with a 500mbps of internet speed. First test was done on my laptop with killer built in and wifi connected. I tested with killer enabled prioritization turned off at a distance of 30ft. on the 5Ghz line, since thats all i run anyways. First speed test produced download speeds of 400mps with upload of 5mbps and a ping of 110ms. This is kinda standard for my area, next i enabled killer and set my laptop to high priority and ran the test again. This time i got 489mbps download with a upload of 7mbps with a ping rate of 10ms. Not bad for considering how far away i was and still connected to the 5Ghz line. Now running a ethernet line to the same laptop produced similar results however with killer mode turned on and set to high priortiy my connection improved slightly. Download speed jumped to 499mbps, upload speed 7mbps and ping droped to almost nothing at about 5ms. Am i impressed? Yes, finally im getting some results from this laptop. Now i ran these test on my PC with out killer enable built ins wired in through the Ethernet ports. My results really weren't that much of a difference. The results are as follows: killer mode off download 400mbps upload 5mbps ping 89ms. Killer enable turned on through the Linksys wifi: download 420mbps, upload at 5mbps and ping at about 80ms. At this point i realized that without a killer enable pc or gaming device this is just another router. Here are my final thoughts, in reality this router is only gonna benefit you if your a true gamer looking to get an edge with the hardware built in to support this wifi set up. If your running a killer motherboard and wanna get the most out of it then definitely buy this router. Other then that your really not going to notice the upgraded performance unless your set up for it. Also if your gaming on a console such as a ps4 or xbox don't waste your money, considering that ps4 consoles cant even hook up to the 5Ghz line anyways. All in all this is a great buy for any true gamer out there. It looks nice, performs great, and gives you access to its built UI and Firmware updates.

Tries But Falls Short

The HP Envy seems to be all talk without being able to back it up. First off lets talk about the basics. Right out of the box you are going to receive the printer, phone line, a few pieces of glossy photo paper and a power line. Note that there is no usb cable provided for a direct line to your PC. The HP Envy likes to focus around the ability to be wireless, so hopefully your PC is built in wireless ready, if not no big deal just use your old USB cable from your old printer and go through all the necessary set ups. Speaking of set ups the calibration that is done for the ink is quick and fast. HP also provides you with an app for you android or apple phone that will allow you to print directly off your phone. This part is actually done pretty well, set up is easy through your phone and once completed there is a list of options available at your fingertips. Through the app you can print up photos from your phone or Facebook directly. You can also scan documents and send them via email or fax from your phone to your printer. You can also order ink through the app or even set yourself up for a monthly service plan where you will be delivered cartridges monthly for a small fee. Setting up the printer through my phone was fast and took about 2 mins, setting it up wireless to my main PC was a different story however. The PC and printer would not recognize each other even though the printer was already set up and connected to the same WiFi as my desktop. I ended up having to actually find the printers ISP address and manually enter it to my desktop to get them to link up. Once this was established there was a bunch of software updates that needed to be done in order for my desktop to use this printer as its primary output source. What i don't understand is why it took 2 minutes for my phone to link up and it took my PC about 15 minutes. Anyways lets talk about the real reason for buying this printer, and that is its ability to print documents and so called high quality photos. Now this printer can scan and fax just like any other printer with no issues so far, however its printing capabilities is a different story. I printed several photos that i had taken with my kids and each and every time the photo printed out it was always cropped too short and the bottom of the photo was always blurry almost as if the ink had smeared. I tried re-calibrating the printer, different size photo paper and even different photos itself. I tried messing with the settings and no matter what i did the photos were always cut short and smeared at the bottom. On top of that the quality of the photo was mediocre at best. My old printer printed out photos that looked better then these ones. I have to say for this printer being a new series in the Envy line up i really expected good quality photos and to my dismay i was very disappointed. Now as far as documents go, ya it prints them just fine. But i would hope so cause if it couldn't even print up documents properly then this product would be pointless. Also one other thing i forgot to mention is that the printer has glitches. There were several times in just one day where i could not print because the screen on the printer kept glitching out. It was all blurred and kept flashing on and off. I had to reset this printer several times just to get it to work. Here's the bottom line, if your looking for a basic printer that can print documents, fax and scan then sure this will do fine assuming the glitches don't hold you back. But if your looking to truly utilize the photo side of the printer then i would suggest looking else where until HP can fix this issue through future updates.
Pros:
-easy to use app with a quick set up
-wireless
Cons:
-Glitches
-Average quality photo printing
-Inconsistent photo printing with bottom edges blurring and not cropping properly
-no USB cable or software disk provided

Good Camera with some minor flaws
on August 3, 2017
Posted by: Crasher
Logitech circle 2 camera, what is it?, what should you use it for?, and is it even worth checking out? First off the Logitech circle 2 camera is a wired high definition camera that monitors activity and stores all activity on to a cloud server. Lets back up and talk about what comes in the box. Out of the box your going to receive one camera, one mounting bracket with screws and hardware included, cable extension and power adapter to plug in to a wall socket. When i got this camera i specially wanted it to monitor the outside of my front door. Mounting was easy however drilling through the house to run the wire for the power was a little more time consuming. Regardless of where you choose to set your camera up installation is rather easy once you are ready to go. Once you have picked your ideal location all you need to do is simply download the Logitech app and it will walk you through the rest. Set up takes about 2 mins and is very user friendly, one thing to keep in mind when buying this product is you will need a strong wifi signal and a stable internet connection. The camera relies on having a wifi connection to work and if at anytime your wireless signal is lost you will not be able to access your camera and it will also stop storing footage on its cloud server, which is kinda of disappointing. Its for this reason right here that i would not rely on this camera set up as a primary home security set up. Instead i would use this more as a camera to help assist a well implemented home security system from a reputable company that specializes in home security. I in fact have a good home security system in my house with a few cameras however i do not have one for my front door and this camera definitely makes a good complement to a already in place security system. Lets talk about the picture quality. All i can i say is IMPRESSIVE, the picture quality is very crisp and does display in 720p with the option for 1080p. This camera is way better then my personal security cameras by a long shot. Also this camera has a motion sensor that will record anytime it picks up movement and let me say the motion sensor is very accurate and very sensitive. It would get set off by people walking by on the sidewalk or even cars driving by on the street. For me this is a plus seeing as how i want every detail recorded. Now the camera has a mic built in with a two way speaker. So your supposed to be able to hear people through the camera and be able to talk back to them. Now i don't know if i got a faulty camera or not but when i would try to talk through my phone out through the camera my voice was all distorted and the sound quality was low and not a single word could be heard. If you are hoping to get this camera don't expect or rely too heavily on the fact that it serves as a two way radio. Now however the camera itself picks up very clearly and very accurate sound quality. For example i was watching the camera one night around 10pm and i could clearly hear the crickets chirping and i could even hear my neighbors talking very clearly believe it or not. I was very impressed at the clarity of sound quality and this made up for its short coming on the other end. Viewing the camera is done through a smart phone and yes you can zoom in and out but don't expect the picture quality to get better as you zoom in cause it doesn't. Now lets talk about the different services Logitech offers. You can choose three options, free plan, basic plan, and the premium plan. The free plan is as it says free, all you get with that plan is 24 hour storage. After 24 hours has passed your footage will erase and write over the old video footage. Next is the basic plan for $3.99 a month and all you get with that is 14 day video storage instead of 24 hours. The next step up is the premium package and that will run you $9.99 a month. With the premium package you get custom day briefings which lets you know what times had the most activity, motion zones for if you decide to buy more then one camera, 31 days of storage and perhaps one of the coolest features Artificial Intelligence person detection. Now the AI person detection is kinda cool, when you pull your camera up on your phone off to the right you will see a bunch of bubbles with time stamps on them. Each bubble represents activity that was captured and the time it was captured, simply click on the bubble and time you want and it will pull up that footage. Now video footage will vary depending on the activity but it can range from a few seconds of footage to a few minutes. Now lets say someone comes up to your door or driveway, the camera will recognize that it is a person and not a vehicle, object or even an animal. When it recognizes a person it will recorded that footage at a longer length and stamp your footage with a blue bubble and a person icon on that bubble. This is kinda cool because it cuts down on footage time. So lets say your car got broken in to during the day and you dont know what time it happened. All you have to do is scroll through all your bubbles until you come across the one that is blue and has a human picture icon on it and presto there is the footage you need. Now there is a set back however, this camera does offer night vision and with all night vision picture quality is going to drop so don't expect a phenomenal picture at night. The AI detection for some reason struggles to work and most nights it wont pick up on my wife leaving or coming home from work. This is kinda disappointing however Logitech does leave the camera open for updates through its firmware. Hopefully they will fix the AI recognition at night. All in all this is a pretty solid camera with some set backs that held it back from getting 5 stars. The main thing to remember when buying this camera is not to rely on it solely for a home security set up but rather to use it as a piggy back set up off a existing system you may have. Also keep in mind this camera doesnt have to be used for security but can be used to keep an eye on your children or pets but just know the two way mic did not work good at all on my camera.
pros:
-EXCELLENT picture quality during the day
-Super sensitive motion lens
-Crystal clear sound quality
-AI person detection
-Easy set up
cons:
-Two way mic that does not work properly (may be a bad camera)
-Rely solely on wifi with no back up in the event internet goes down
-Weak AI person detection at night

Great gaming laptop for the average gamer
on July 17, 2017
Posted by: Crasher
The HP OMEN, what is it?, what does it do?, and is it a right fit for you? The HP omen is a out of the box straight up game ready laptop. For those of you who hardcore gamers this review may not be for you seeing as how you probably already know what you want. But for those curious and considering diving into the world of PC gaming i'll try to keep this as simplistic as possible. Out of the box i think the omen looks pretty sleek. Each opinion is different but i really like the sleek look and brushed aluminum design. The back light keyboard is almost a must in any gaming laptop and the red back lights behind the keys looks pretty nice. My only complaint is there is no option to dim the light. Sound quality is great, i mean i was actually very surprised at the fact that i really didn't need to put headphones in order to take in all the complete sound of my games. i really want to focus on performance though. The HP omen is geared towards bringing you a on the go power house laptop that can handle just about any game out there. It accomplishes this by giving you a laptop that has pretty much has most of the newest hardware you would expect to see in a performance laptop. I want to talk briefly about the specs without getting too in depth seeing as how all specs can be found right here on the best buy website. The omen contains a gen 7 intel core processor, basically meaning that you can push through multiple task and file transfer with little to no effort and lag. The laptop does run smoothly however i did notice a little more down time on my file transfer and downloads then i was expecting to see on this type of processor and hard drive. For me personally this was kinda of disappointing due to the fact there is no CD/Disk drive in this laptop so all games must be downloaded or file transferred. That's right there is no CD drive so keep that in mind if you have a disk your planing on downloading off of. The graphics card is a NVIDIA GTX 1050, this is actually a very good graphics card. Not the top of the line by any means but definitely no weakling either. I like to play MMOs and one of my favorite games to play is FFXIV Stormblood online. This game has beautiful scenery and the omen had no issue whatsoever putting out all this game had to offer with the GTX 1050. When im playing online i really like to get submersed in the back ground, the omen did a really good job out bringing out all shadow rendering, texturing and color with such ease that i truly saw no need to upgrade the graphics card. Speaking of which thats another area i actually like about the omen, and thats the ability to upgrade. The graphics card is a stand alone which allows you to upgrade it as technology increases and even gives you the ability to overclock if your wanting the extra boost. And dont worry the omen has two big air intakes to help keep it cool and i mean they were bigger then i was expecting but thats a good thing cause all that power generates heat, and heat destroys. When the fans came on they were really quite and yes the laptop does get hot but it was never to the point of burning, in fact the hottest i ever felt was just a step above mildly warm. I had no temp gun to check the actual temp but its nothing to really talk about. Battery life wasn't bad either i got a solid six hours of battery life with all my settings turned up before it died out. This is about average for a good laptop as i've seen with my other rigs. Now there are some features that this laptop should of had that i felt are necessary for a good gaming laptop. The keyboard lacks pretty bad, the keys are more sunken in then i would like. They also lack the ability of having built in macros and mechanical keys i feel are always a must when you are building a gaming system. This is a preference issue and may not affect you whatsoever if you are new to gaming, however if you game often and are seasoned this may be a big turn off. The screen displays in full 1080 HD, this is nice and definitely brings out the quality of games but i would of liked to see this in a true 4k quality resolution instead. Lets talk about display response time, display response time is the computers ability to change from one color to the next without blurring (or ghosting). For the most part i saw no issues whatsoever while playing FFXIV and Battlefield. Everything ran fine and when i ran my own personal test i was getting response times of about 25ms. For most people 25ms can be considered sluggish but in all honesty i never once saw any blurring or issues whatsoever and thats a good thing considering i was playing a pretty fast paced game like battlefield. I can dive really deep into the specs and dissect this laptop piece by piece but all in all its a solid gaming laptop for the beginner. If you are barely getting into pc gaming or are on a budget definitely go this route this is the best bang for your buck by far and you will not be disappointed. If you are however dedicated to your gaming and money is no an issue then i would pass on this set up and get something that at least has a better keyboard set up.
pros:
-sleek design
-good battery life
-awesome speakers
-solid graphics
-keyboard back light
-priced right
cons:
-No dimming options for key back light
-Lack of built in macros
-Lack of mechanical keys

JBL really brings it big with their over the ear wireless headphones. Lets dive in and talk about the pros and cons (if any) about this set up. First if you have never heard of JBL let me start by saying they are one of the biggest leader in the audio industry. I remember when i was younger i had spent more money in my car audio then the actual vehicle was probably worth and JBL was definitely the way to go for show quality audio sound. Basically know that you are buying a product from a company that has a proven track record of putting out show quality sound. First off out of the box you will receive a carrying case, 3.5 mm cord for direct connection, and a micro usb cable to charge the headphones. The headphones collapse for easy storage into its carrying case. JBL claims a fast 2 hour charge with up to 25 hours of non stop audio playback. It took me about an hour to fully charge the headset and i have to say i have been using the headphones for 10 hours and i am not even half way through my battery life. This is honestly very impressive seeing as how most of my wireless headphones carry a battery life of only 10 hours. This is truly the longest battery life i have seen with the shortest recharge downtime. The headphones are synced via standard bluetooth set up which is no different then any other device you may of used. They come with a built in mic which provides high quality call sound and a noise cancelling mic. This is kinda nice because one thing i have noticed about built in mics is they tend to either bring in alot of feedback or background noise making it annoying for the caller on the other end to hear you clearly. These headphones gave me a call quality that was just as good as if i was talking on a LAN line and never once dropped out through the bluetooth. I want to talk about something that this headset does that i have personally never seen on another headset device that really makes it stand out and that is the SHAREME 2.0. The SHAREME 2.0 is a built in bluetooth software that allows other wireless bluetooth headphones to connect to the JBL headphones. This means that my wife can connect her headphones to my JBL headphones and she can listen to the same music that i am listening to. The day of having to share earbuds to listen to the same track is now gone. I found this part actually really awesome considering that we have similar taste in music and when we go to the gym to workout together we can share the same tracks through two separate headphones. Now understand something the second headset is basically piggybacking off the main headphones so is there a little bit of reduction in sound quality? Yes of course but not by much, i noticed the sound quality wasn't as good as my JBL but it wasn't horrible by any means. In all reality i don't think most people will even truly notice the difference too much unless you have an ear for music quality. Speaking of which lets talk sound quality. This is a JBL, whats to really say? The sound quality is awesome giving out a perfect amount of balance between your mids and lows without taking away from your highs and vocals. You basically get everything you want without one particular area overshadowing another. Now i am a very big bass fan, as far as the headphones go they are not the biggest sounding or producer of bass that i have seen but that's fine because the base quality was perfect and enough to keep me satisfied. One of the biggest problems i have with bass is that i like it loud but then it gets to the point to where it takes away from all my other sound quality. The JBL 710 produce just the right amount of bass to keep me happy while still providing equal quality sound which i would expect no less from JBL. The headphones do a very good job out keeping outside noise out due to there tight fit and well rounded job at sealing around the ear. Speaking of which these are hands down the most comfortable headphones i own to date. Most of my headphones start hurting my head after about 2 hours of music streaming, however i have had these on for 3 hours straight at one point with no discomfort whatsoever. There are alot of technical specs that i can get into discussing why this is a good set up and why you should buy it, but without making things too confusing all you need to truly know is that this a great sounding headset which is brought to you by a provider who in my opinion is a big leader in the audio industry bringing you awesome sound quality with some pretty cool features i haven't seen yet on any other audio devices out there. Usually most products i buy or review i have a few features that i don't like, however for me personally i could not find one thing wrong with this headset that would lead me to a negative review. I'm sure if you search hard enough you can find fault with any product but nothing stood out big enough for me to mention.
Pros:
-fast charge time
-25 hour of battery life!!!
-SHARME 2.0
-Superb sound quality
-Crystal clear call quality.
-Collapsible design
-Comfortable fit
Cons:
-none that i could find

Stormblood im my opinion is one of my favorite expansions to the final fantasy xiv online series. There are two new added classes, the samurai and red mage. Level cap has been moved to 70 with the ability to purchase level 60 auto levels. For example lets say your friends are level 70 and your barely starting out as a first timer at level 1. You can pay an additional fee which i think is $24 to level whatever class you chose to level 60 so that now you dont have such a long climb to catch up. However if your a first timer i dont recommend doing this seeing as how your going to miss out on pretty much most of the story. The graphics are phenomenal and sound quality is beautiful. Lots of character customization is available. There are no new races to play however. Keep in mind that in order to play stormblood will you need to purchase final fantasy a realm reborn and heavensward. Also a square enix account is necessary to play. This is an online only game which requires a monthly fee. I believe i only pay $14.99 a month. The good thing though is it does not require a membership to PlayStation plus in order to play online. If you are a final fantasy fan then this is a no brainer. And if your not i suggest getting the free trial to check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Bigger isn't always better

As a kid growing up in the 80s boomboxes were really popular and i definitely owned my share of boomboxes. I was excited to receive the Nyne X-Series seeing as how it was a wireless boombox containing one bass speaker, two mid drivers and two side tweaters. However my excitement fell short as i dove in to the sound quality and functionality of the speaker. Lets dive in and talk about the good, the bad, and if this speaker is the right fit for you. Right out of the box the first thing i noticed was the weight. The Xseries weighs 10lbs but it feels like it weighs more. I actually found this to be a good thing because it gave it a more rugged and sturdy design. I wasn't worried too much about being gentle with the speakers or them getting damaged due to the sturdy frame and water tight seal. That's right, this speaker is designed to be water/ dust proof and able to resist light scratches. I wouldn't go dunking this in a water tank but pool side and beach parties, this speaker should handle the light splash and sand with no problem. The speakers are paired via Bluetooth or NFC and has a range of roughly 35 feet. The speaker never once lost connection while within range and sound quality never picked up on any wifi noise. One intresting feature i found with the speaker is that it allowed for a mic to be hooked up via the 3.5 mm input, karaoke here we come. Also there is a built in mic so that you can receive and make calls all hands free. The sound quality of the call was actually surprisingly clear and good however i found this feature to be impractical due to the fact that your conversation was being blasted through the speakers for everyone to hear. Nyne claims a 10 hour battery life but for me when i put this to the test at 75% volume level i managed to only get about 8 hours of battery life. Now lets talk about the sound, after all thats what makes a good speaker worth it all. I'm very critical about my sound quality and when i listen to my music i want to be able to hear my music for all that it was meant to be. Right off the bat with the volume at 50% sound quality was surprisingly decent. Not the best sound around but not terrible by any means whatsoever. The music was crisp and clear with a good balance of my mids and tweaters not being muffled out by the bass. The lyrical sound quality was clean and free of background noise and was clearly heard throughout my whole back yard which is about a quarter acre. Now if your a big bass fan the speaker does the job but dont expect to max it out. When i started to tune in my equalizer i tried to max my bass out and the speaker struggled to handle it. The quality got more distorted and just sounded terrible. Also when turned the volume past 75% the music quality gave out. There was alot more distortion and sound quality had noticeably dropped off. I tried adjusting the sound via my equalizer but to my dismay this proved unsuccessful as the sound quality did not improve. Also these speakers are meant to be placed against a wall or backdrop. There is no 360 sound, so while the sound quality is loud enough to be heard no matter where you stand, there is a slight noticeable difference if you are behind the speaker. At the end of the day i feel as though Nyne geared this speaker towards a set group. This is a perfect speaker for those that are in a more rugged environment. If you do alot of camping or work out in the field via construction, mechanics, painting or any manual labor job then this rugged design may be right for you. However if you are looking to entertain guest and you are very critical of your sound quality as i am then you may want to pass. The average person who is looking just to provide some sound for there bbq or backyard pool party may find this is suitable for them and may not notice all the short comings, as long as you don't have a critical ear then this may be perfect for you. As for me this speaker just did not fit the bill and came up a little short.
Pros:
-water and shock resistance
-decent battery life
-built mic for hands free calling
-4.1 sound quality
Cons:
-lack of a 360 sound
-sound quality that drops of as volume increases
-bass that falls flat on the higher end

perfect press and griller
on June 10, 2017

The Livenza all day grill is truly an awesome grill capable of just about anything. To talk about all the functions and abilities that are possible with this grill would take too much time. Instead i just want to focus on some of its key features to help decide if this is right for you. Out of the box you will receive two flat plates, two grill plates, an oil drip catch, scrapper, and griddle plates. Very little assembly is required and no tools are needed. This is my first true grill/press. In the past i've own other basic grills that you may have seen on t.v. but nothing truly compares to this grill. Lets talk about some of the features. First off you have a LCD digital display which gives you temperature readings and timer countdowns. Off to the right are your temperature controls for your plates. Once nice feature i like is the individual settings of each plate. Depending on your cooking style and type of food your making you can set the top plate temperature different from the bottom plate in order to insure thorough cooking. Another nice feature is the three cooking modes that are offered. You have Contact grill mode, broil grill mode and BBQ mode. Contact grill mode is just as the title suggest, the two plates make contact with both the top and bottom food that you are cooking. This makes quick work of simple snacks or foods such as grilled cheese sandwiches, Quesadillas, pancakes and much more. Broil grill mode allows you to lock the top plate into a hover position and allows the griller to be used much like an oven. Im not a fancy cook but i did find this feature was very nice when it came to making mini pizzas. Since the top plate never touches the food in this position you can easily set the temperature higher for more thorough and faster cooking. BBQ mode is a really nice feature, it allows you to lay the top plate completely on its back providing you with two cooking surfaces. This is great for when you need double the cooking space. Built in to the grill is a grease catch which drains into a oil catch allowing for healthier eating habits. One thing i did forget to mention about this grill that i did notice was the fact that it had an integrated heating element built in to the plates. The reason i bring this up is since there is no open flame and since the heating element isn't built directly in to the grill this helps to eliminate any hotspots and give you a more thorough and evenly cooked meal. Also Livenza provides you with an online app for iOS and Android in which they give you lots of cooking recipes and ideas for meal planning. If you like to cook without making a big mess or breaking out the BBQ grill the Livenza is definitely the way to go. Right out of the box you are going to see the quality and care that was put behind this.

It’s easy to transform your home into a safe haven with SimpliSafe’s award-winning security system. Everything is simple to set up, effortless to use, and designed to do one thing only: keep your home and family safe. Outdoor security cameras let you see everything happening in full HD. So you can spot trouble before it comes knocking and capture the evidence if it does. And if someone tries to break in, the burglary sensors will sound the alarm right away. But that’s not all. Whenever your alarm goes off, we’ll call you and send police, firefighters, or ambulances to your door in a snap — and stay on the line with you until they arrive. So no matter where you are or what you’re doing, your home is protected 24/7.

How do the cameras attach to the house?

the outdoor cameras are attached via magnets to the base. The only item that requires 2 screws to mount is the base plate. Once the base plate is mounted then the cameras are attached and removed via magnets.

Do you have tonoay for monthly monitoring

you dont have to pay for a monthly subscription however keep in mind the free plan is very basic and i mean very basic. The free plan only allows for you to disarm and arm the system and allows the siren to go off if the alarm is triggered however they will not call the police and they will not allow for your video footage to be recorded. So it basically forces you in to a monthly plan but keep in mind there is no contract so you can cancel at any time.

does this camera system run on a 5g mhz speed wifi i have at&t fiber internet and my camera system that i have now BLINK only works off of 2.4 mhz speed .

Good question. On my Linksys it runs on the 2.4 band and as of right now there is no option on the Simplisafe app to move it over to the 5g band.

Can cameras be plugged into power while mounted to wall or do they have to be charged then put up. And pull down to charge when dead

So the wireless cameras can either be mounted wirelessly or hardwired in to a wall outlet. If you dont feel like charging the battery every month or so then you do have the option to wire them in as well. As far as charging goes the batteries are removable from the cameras so this way when it comes time to charge them you dont need to charge the whole camera unit just simply the battery pack.

What are the triggers like on this controller? Are they like normal Xbox controller triggers with a long pull or do they use any trigger stops for a shorter pull?

The triggers can not be adjusted as you would find on a Astro controller. As far as pull goes it feels very similar to a xbox trigger pull and has medium senisitivity. The pull is not short but does not feel long either. Most actions seem to activate after about pulling a 1/4 of a inch.
