Holy TV Set Batman!

After years of fan requests, release rumors and rights negotiations the classic Batman TV series is finally available on DVD and Blu-ray! And what a great set it is. From the fully remastered digital picture quality showcasing the bright colors from this 1960's TV series to the myriad bonus features and interviews with Adam West, Burt Ward, cast members and fans this set never fails to disappoint. Watching this series again as an adult, one realizes how well the show delivered entertainment and appeal on 2 different levels for both kids and adults.
Kudos to Warner Brothers for releasing Batman in both DVD and Blu-ray formats and keeping the full set of bonus video features identical/included on each. The Blu-ray set is a limited edition numbered release and adds additional collectibles such as the Batmobile Hot Wheels car. Warner Brothers is also releasing single season sets (Season 1 now, Season 2-part 1 has been announced for early 2015). No matter how you decide toget your Batman fix, you won't be disappointed!

Great Set for Doctor Who Fans

This past year has seen the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. US fans of this long running British TV have grown exponentially with the reboot of the series in 2005 and with Matt Smith playing the latest incarnation of the Doctor. This BBC special movie goes back to the beginning and shows us the dramatic origins for the creation and success of Doctor Who against all odds - Verity Lambert (female producer), curmudgeonly actor William Hartnell (the original Doctor Who), and the 1st episode broadcast interrupted for coverage of US president John F. Kennedy assassination! This set contains the movie special on both Blu-Ray and DVD, along with several bonus features. Additionally, a separate bonus DVD with the very 1st Doctor Who adventure "An Unearthly Child" completes this set and makes it a great addition to add to your Doctor Who collection.

The crime drama's third season takes on a darker and edgier tone, as it opens with the Machine missing and completely self-governed. Root (Amy Acker) has been confined to an insane asylum but is in constant contact with the Machine, while Finch (Michael Emerson) finds himself in a position where he's no longer the Machine's sole human contact. Meanwhile, Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Shaw (Sarah Shahi) continue their work preventing crimes from happening with the help of their usual NYPD contact, Det. Fusco (Kevin Chapman); and Carter (Taraji P. Henson), who has been demoted from detective to a uniformed police officer, wages a very personal war against the corrupt police organization HR. At the same time, new threats against Team Machine come to light, including Vigilance--a watchdog group committed to exposing overreaching government surveillance methods--and Decima Technologies, who tried and failed to take control of the Machine in the previous season and are now going to extreme measures to bring another surveillance system called Samaritan online.

Person of Interest Season 3 continues the development and evolution of both the machine and the characters and cast of this excellent TV show. This tumultuous season resulted in many surprising changes among the PofI team's interactions, allies, and enemies. Definitely worth purchasing and watching again.

Utilizing dual 8" copper-spun IMG woofers and a 1" aluminum diaphragm-compression LTS tweeter, this Klipsch Reference R-28F floorstanding speaker creates a crystal-clear cross-spectrum soundscape.

What's the best speaker wire to use? 16 or 12 guage? Also, is it better to put the banana plugs on the ends of the speaker wire? Hooking up to a Denon Receiver.

12 guage would be the best. Although 16 guage would be OK for shorter runs, I still wouldn't use 16. Use 14 guage instead, especially if you want to save some money on speaker wire. I would also recommend banana plugs. It makes it easier to change speakers or move things around, especially when you need to get to the back of your amplifier. Banana plugs also minimize or eliminate the potential of the stranded speaker wire making a short across the amplifier outputs/speaker when you are making/changing connections. If you don't use banana plugs, you should at least tin the exposed end of the speaker wire with a good lead-free solder.
