I have only completed about a third of the game at this time so please keep that in mind while reading the review and my opinion.
The game is not unlike the demo which was only meant as a sample for the gameplay and graphics.
I purchased the game for my PS4 Pro since that seems to have been the lead platform but the XBOX ONE S demo played just as good.
The controller is smooth as butter for all functions which are very easy to learn and use.
The graphics and colors are subdued but that was probably to give the impression that your were having a real bad dream. The shading and lighting are used effectively which adds to the creepiness of the areas to be explored.
This is definitely a Resident Evil horror-survival game but with some new variations such as being in the first-person view.
You are in a house that is populated by a family that apparently was infected by some virus that made them insane along with having zombie-like and strange physical characteristics which makes them not impossible but very difficult to eliminate. Weapons and ammo are somewhat scarce and sometimes ineffective when used directly against the family which means you have to figure out some other way to bring them down. There are also some slime/sludge monsters running around and those can be eliminated with well-placed shots to the head.
There is a traditional item management system in place like the early Resident Evil games so that should be familiar to most users.
Problem solving is not overly difficult but it can be unclear sometimes as to what is needed and involves a little too much backtracking for my taste but you will get very familiar with the house and adjacent buildings in the process. That is where I took the one star off from the rating.
Overall, the game is very immersive and provides several really good jump-scare scenes that you don't expect. I have to play the game in short sessions to give me chance to calm down, especially after a nerve-wracking segment!
If you are looking for a new well-made horror-survival game, then this is definitely worth playing!

Another Great Call of Duty Game

The campaign is exactly what you would expect from a Call of Duty game and it delivers on all counts. The graphics are great on the XBOX ONE but had some screen tearing in certain areas but otherwise were very good in most of the game.
The action in the beginning has a cut scene in outer space but there are also parts that take place on Earth and other planets which breaks up the gameplay nicely and introduces new tactics. The battles can either be on land or in space including the piloting of a spacecraft against enemy forces or other spacecraft.
I can't speak for the co-op or multiplayer options since I have not used them at this time.
The Modern Warfare Remastered game that is included as a download is excellent which looks and plays better than the original which I had played quite a number of times in the past when it was a new release.

This is a great game as a single-player in addition to multiplayer modes where as the first Titanfall had only multiplayer.
I'm only a few hours into the game but everything from graphics to controls is excellent including the gameplay itself which is very smooth on the XBOX ONE S.
There's plenty to do and explore where you will be "jumping" between battles on the ground and controlling a mech.
This game is one the several best first-person shooters for this year.

Battlefield 1 is a complete reversal in the trend for futuristic first-person shooters.
The single-player campaign is more like a series of short stories and events rather than continuing the battles as one overall set of objectives.
You get to play as different soldiers as the campaign progresses where you get to know them as individuals. The battles range from trench warfare, tank battles, aerial dogfights, riding horseback in the desert and a few other fighting styles and weaponry unique to WW1.
The graphics on the XBOX ONE are excellent and comparable to the PS4 which I have played but I actually prefer the XBOX because it seems easier to see the battlefields which can be chaotic. You will see firsthand the definition of "the fog of war" in this game!
I cannot comment on the multiplayer since I have not yet tried it.
This game is an excellent addition to the Battlefield series.

Awesome Game Console!

I already owned the original XBOX ONE 500GB which was about 2 years old but still worked perfectly but I wanted to try the S model to see if there was any difference in performance and have a 2nd console to use in another room.
There is a slight boost in graphical performance from the previous model where the games do play smoother and look a bit better. The Wi-Fi download speeds are also noticeably faster.
The controller is not cheaply made as a few reviewers commented and is actually better in a few ways such as the buttons being easier to press and better connectivity with Bluetooth.
The console itself is well made and a lot smaller but does not look out of place with my other home theater components which are all black, including my PS4. It has quiet operation where the fan makes hardly any noise and produces very little heat.
I was also using an external 2TB HDD on my older XBOX and there was no problem with the games being recognized by the new model.
I decided to get the 1TB model with Gears of War 4 bundle because of the larger HDD and being packed with a great game. The OS data uses around 250 GB from the get-go so that leaves 750GB for games which is enough for most players but an external HDD can always be added later.
I think that this is a great console for XBOX fans which should hold them over until the Scorpio is released.
I don't have a 4K TV with HDR (not yet!) so I can't comment on the UHD Blu-ray performance or the game enhancement with HDR but I'm sure it will not disappoint.

Great for WW2 Shooter Fans!

This is an excellent first-person shooter for those who miss the Call of Duty series that were set in WW2 but this time it has the added element of science fiction thrown in the mix.
The gameplay is fluid and controls are smooth as can be. The story draws you in so that you just want to keep playing to see what's awaiting around the corner.
There's very little back-tracking which is used for collecting items to upgrade your weapons.
The graphics and sound are both excellent.
All in all, it's a great addition for any FPS fan and can be a lot of fun. The sequel, Wolfenstein: Old Blood, is also another great game and is worth having if you liked the first one.

The game is true to it's Resident Evil roots with requisite puzzle-solving, spooky places to explore and scary creatures.
The story is actually pretty decent and there are additional episodes that can be purchased separately or through a season pass which has about 4 episodes and other extras. Sometimes the PlayStation store has the season pass on sale and is a good deal that will extend the game considerably.
The game has a co-op feature which I actually liked since it adds more depth to the game and is easy to use. The game will switch between 4 different characters in separate pairs depending on which part of the story you are playing at the time. The collected items can be combined to make other items and upgrades to weapons are also easy to use.
The sound and visuals are pretty good on the PS4 version along with great controls.
This is one of the better Resident Evil games that I've played and enjoyed.

Best. Zombie Game. Ever!

This game isn't as scary like Resident Evil but there is a lot of pressure on you not to get overwhelmed by a group of zombies when attempting to complete the various missions which there are quite a few of them to do along with the side missions.
The controls are similar to Mirror's Edge Catalyst and also take a bit of practice which makes for a good game that requires some skill.
The city that you explore is vast and enjoyable to view when you get a breather from zombies chasing you. The season pass is probably one of the best deals in video games since it gives you more missions, available enhancements and a whole another segment where you get to drive vehicles with various upgrades to mow down zombies in unique ways. This extra segment takes place in a different environment outside the city and in the neighboring farmlands which gives plenty of space to roam.
The game can be fast paced at times especially when being pursued by a mob of zombies at night if you dare to complete missions in the dark. You can wait until dawn by hiding out in a safe house, if you prefer.
The game is fun to play and will keep you busy for a long time; especially with the season pass.
