It's interesting how an old school approach to gameplay can feel so fresh. There's no cover shooting here, just aggressive and in your face gameplay. Really glad I bought this. If you're a fan of the original Doom, you should absolutely check this out. But don't think this feel like an old game. It doesn't. I'm having a blast with this.

Set-up was so easy! I had expected to have to ask for help, but no help was needed. One of my friends suggested going for a wired Blu-Ray player since we get very poor signal strength in our home. This reconditioned Sony BDPS1700 WIRED Streaming Blu-Ray Disc player exceeded my expectations.

I ordered this to supply a microwave for the new house. It is easy to use, works well, and looks good. It was also well packaged and arrived pretty quickly. All in all, I am satisfied with its performance.
Also, It doesnt feel cheap and the button to open it doesn't stick. I also like that you can just press the buttons for the time that you want instead of having to hit a specific input time button or turn a dial or do some other form of annoying time wasting step. You just press 1-3-0 start for a minute 30. Exactly how it should be.
I have been using it more and more, and it heats food quickly and evenly. I have had to adjust my microwave intuition (setting it for how much your food really needs) because it gets hot pretty quickly. Again, satisfied and would recommend!

Literally my favorite PS4 game now

This game is an absolute return to form for the series, the writing, the gameplay, the graphics, all of it is top notch, and it all runs at a smooth 30 fps.
While I own the Ratchet and Clank HD collection I really hadn't put too much time into the game, but this game has made me a fan of the series all over again, and has won the honor of being my FAVORITE PS4 game.
It takes me back to the days here games were just good for the sake of being good, no day 1 DLC, no online passes, no pre order bounses, no overly complicated story, no constant hand holding, you just go in, and enjoy everything the game has to offer.
A great story with great gameplay, and deep mechanics as far as leaving weapons go, with lots of reaplyability for people who want to try challenge mode or continue with a harder new game+ mode to continue to max out the cool arsenal of weapons you get.
This is easily one of the best games I've played this year if not one the best games ever for me.

I love the more recent ps4 controllers. They just have a better feel to them. When I had the very first controller that came with the ps4, I wore out the thumb stick grips to the point that I had to buy replacement ones quite often. This newer ps4 controller does that have the same material on the thumb stick grips, so I don't see them tearing like they use to. Overall I am glad I bought it and would recommend to anyone looking for a new controller.

I've been binge-playing Dark Souls 3 and I felt like I needed a new shooter to play. This one just came out, and even though I hadn't touched the beta I decided to go for it. I played WoW, Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo so I'm familiar with Blizzard.
This game is pretty excellent if you are looking for an online shooter with new twists. You don't pick up guns, you don't get killstreaks, and you don't unlock better weapons by playing more. You start on the same field as everyone else, and the only things you can earn through playing more are cosmetic skins, emotes, voice lines, etc.
The gameplay is fluid and relatively bug free. It looks beautiful, and even though I was resistant to the animation at first I'm very happy with it now. The heroes are for the most part balanced (and they are working on balancing them further). The devs are responsive to issues in the game.
Overall, it's a 5/5 for me. It's refreshing to not get blasted away by an OP gun someone got by playing the game 24/7 before you bought it. It's nice how the heroes balance each other, and cool that you can't really win without selecting the right combination to counter your enemies and support your team. I was worried about the lack of "progression", but the cosmetic unlocks are more than enough.
If you're reading this review you're probably really looking into this game. Go for it. The world could always use more heroes!

Ridiculous Value. If You Have a PS4, Buy This.

I have never played any Uncharted games before purchasing this collection. I have a PS4 and thought, "why not get some of the best games for the PS3?" I have also played, and thoroughly enjoyed The Last of Us, which is by the same developer (Naught Dog) as Uncharted 1-3. For the price this might be one of the best gaming values since The Orange Box. Three fantastic games, each one taking about 8-10 hours to complete (could be much more if you are a trophy hunter) and every second of the time is enjoyable, particularly Uncharted 2. Fantastic. It is also very nice to have them all on one disc so when one is finished just hop onto the next one. Here is a review of each individually.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - This game was released in 2007, and can at times feel a bit, but I am getting ahead of myself. You play as Nathan Drake, a descendant of Sir Francis Drake searching for the fabled city of gold, El Dorado. There are other important characters, all of which get their own development (except the bad guys) and overall the story feels pretty solid, even if sometimes you are not exactly sure why these people are shooting at you, they just are. The mechanics leave something to be desired at items, but overall are pretty good. Drake is very physically adept and spends much of his time leaping and climbing from ledge to ledge and you occasionally leap to a ledge and the game thinks "Jump to that ledge or drop to your death? I am pretty sure you meant drop to your death" And it does. There are various difficulty levels from “Easy” to “Crushing” so it does allow you to choose your own frustration, depending on how experienced you are with shooters. The graphics look better than 2007 graphics due to the game being remastered by BluePoint Games and really, they’re pretty good, nothing special, but they never get in the way. Overall though, the game play is fun, the shooting mechanism is pretty good, and the story is excellent. Also, you don't NEED to play this one first, but I do highly recommend it for story pieces in the second game.
8.5/10.
Uncharted: Among Thieves - Among Thieves was released in 2009, but feels almost brand new when you play it. This has been called one of the greatest video games of all time, and I can see why. The gameplay in this one is relatively similar to the first with Drake climbing and Jumping all over the place, and shooting the baddies with the copious amounts of ammo lying around. However, almost every gripe about mechanics in the first Uncharted is fixed for this one. The game is incredible. The physical things Drake does feels more natural and intuitive, falling to your death on accident is less common and even the shooting mechanics are improved. The story is very solid now with pretty much every aspect being explained clearly, but the real bonus to this game is the variety of landscapes, scenery, characters and mechanics required throughout the story. Each plot arc feels like it could be its own game. I would love to say I have something bad about this game, but it is pretty much perfect. If I absolutely had to pick an issue, I would say that sometimes, the game can’t tell if you meant “jump to the ledge” or “reach for the ledge” which can make the movement a little spotty, but believe me, that is rare and just me searching for a problem.
9.9/10
Uncharted: Drake’s Deception – Drakes Deception was released in 2011, but the graphics look great and the game feels very modern. The stellar reviews for this game are legitimate. I will have to agree with most and say it is not quite as good as Uncharted 2, but it is only because 2 was so extraordinary. The story again is good, going into the backstory of Nate and Sully’s relationship and introducing a new main character. It all works together and keeps you engrossed throughout your play through. The puzzles in this one seem to be more complex and fun than the other two as well, challenging, but still relatively quick to get through. I enjoyed them most in this game. This game did feel a little more glitchy than the other two however, when it came to just general exploring and gun battles. Enemies would be dead, but still standing (sounds creepier now that I write it) so you keep shooting them waiting for them to die, wasting time and bullets. There was also an instance where a treasure or collectible was sitting on a table and the game would not let me pick it up. I don’t know what it was, but there are achievements for collectibles and if I was attempting them on this play through, that would have been extremely frustrating. All of that aside, the game is still great, and is worth a play if you have a PS4.
9.2/10
This collection is an incredible value. The gameplay is great, the graphics are beautiful and they are worth playing for the story alone. If you have a PS$ there is no reason not to own this collection.
9.5/10
NOTE: This collection is only the single-player parts of the game; no multiplayer is included.

If you're a fan of Souls and you're aware of what these games entail, then definitely buy Bloodborne. It lives up to the hype.
The city of Yharnam is gorgeous in all of its gothic grotesque glory. The combat is faster than before and equally, if not more, intense. The story is still ambiguous leaving the interpretation and theories to the player. The game is almost perfect.
So far, the only two cons I have with Bloodborne, albeit minor, are 1: occasional drops in frame rate, and 2: loading times.
The reason these are minor is because they're literally the only defects I can think of that actually lessen the experience if at all. Honestly, the load times aren't nearly as bad as some people have made them out to be. I think they feel extra long because it's just a black screen with the word Bloodborne on it for an entire 40 seconds (most of the time less). Dark Souls loading screens at least had item descriptions. The only time it is definitely noticeable and irritating for me is when I wish to travel to another location from a location. So, for example, if you're at Central Yharnam and you wish to go back to the first floor, you have to go to the Hunter's Dream, and then from there load the new location you wish to go to. That's an extra loading screen which is honestly pointless. This can feel very time consuming for a game that punishes players with frequent impending deaths. So I think the only thing I like about Dark Souls more than Bloodborne, is that it had the convenience of fast travelling between bon fires. Bloodborne seems to go back to how Demon Souls location travelling was.
As for the frame rate issue, I only notice it on rare specific occasions, or when I'm spinning the camera around my character fast. Don't worry though, it never reaches deplorable frame rates such as Blighttown from Dark Souls.
One of the biggest and most obvious changes is that the game emphasizes the offensive. There is no longer blocking with shields in Bloodborne. You need to be on the attack at all times. In Bloodborne, the best defense is a good offense. Some people might like this change more than others. With the new depth of diverse weapon attacks, an offensive play style gives way to a faster pace. The best thing about this new combat style is that it's putting most Souls veterans out of their element. Most of us are used to using shields and hanging back until we can place a perfect timed attack on our vulnerable enemy. You still need to time your attacks, but you have to pay so much more attention to your foe's. Depending on their attack, you may need to stun them with your gun, dodge, or attack the enemy first. The combat feels much more risky, therefore more intense and rewarding. While I don't necessarily view this new offensive combat as better or worse than previous Souls games, I think it's a perfect device to keep players on their toes. Most fans praise the game they played first the most. Why? Because it was the most difficult for them. Why? Because the experience was new. By the time they went on to play Dark souls 2 for example, the game felt too easy for them. Bloodborne prevents that from happening. Everyone's learning curve is reset. We have to get used to the new methods and tricks of combat in Bloodborne that make it special and unique to the game. This brings me to a frequently asked question: Is Bloodborne more difficult than past Souls games?
In my opinion, it's around equal difficulty to Dark Souls (Or whatever the first game you played was). That's obviously a relative statement, but considering how the core game experience is the same, and the new implemented combat style, the difficulty feels similar to the first time you played a Souls game. You have to learn from your mistakes at all times.
Like past Souls games, you will struggle, become frustrated, die and die again, and in the end, be rewarded for your efforts. I can't recommend it enough! This is the best game I've played in a long time. I hope From Software keeps making these games. Happy hunting!
P.S. for those of you who have never played Demon Souls or Dark Souls, and are unsure of whether you'd enjoy Bloodborne's challanging gameplay and role playing game elements, just rent the game. It's the kind of game people either love or hate. It's definitely not for everyone. If you don't know what you're getting into, and you expect a fast paced EASY game, then you're in for a rude awakening. I'm sure most of you are aware of how hard these games are, but just in case you're completely new to them, don't buy Bloodborne expecting a fun relaxing game. It requires diligence, patience, and an active effort at all times. If you're interested in a non-linear game that allows you to explore and discover your own story through hard work, by all means, buy Bloodborne. You will be rewarded for your efforts! The sense of accomplishment is like no other.
Summary:
Pros:
-Stunning environment/atmosphere (I don't think anyone can overstate how amazing the locations are in this game. The world is my favorite character)
-Engaging combat is fun and challenging
-Weapon's mode diversity gives way to more strategy than ever before
-Chalice Dungeons add replayability and more multiplayer
Cons:
-Occasional frame rate drops
-Loading times can feel cumbersome, particularly when switching locations

Tom Clancy's The Division is a revolutionary next-gen experience that brings the RPG into a modern military setting for the first time. The Division is a unique twist on a tired genre

Info: I played the beta for ~25 hours. I stayed up all night playing the actual game (roughly 7ish hours) and am writing this review before I go to sleeeeeep. I'm focusing on a brief hit of the major topics to help you make an educated decision. In-depth stuff takes time and since the game has been out only a few hours total, I cannot pretend to cover everything.
Pros:
-How does the game run on PS4? Terrific. Booted up after install (I downloaded the game, no hard copy). No crashing issues, which some ppl were reporting during the beta.
-The game actually has depth in the RPG elements. First, Ubi really tries to make it seem like there is a good reason you are going to be spending hours killing guys. From ppl. coming up to you asking for help and breaking up robberies, it all seems like you have a purpose. The skill trees seem like they have greater depth than would appear at first glance, but I have barely delved into them, so they aren't factored into my star-rating.
-The side quests, or whatever you want to call them, actually have bearing within the framework of the story. Ppl are getting robbed by gang-bangers, so you take them out. Nothing groundbreaking, but better than fetch quests only (there are some of those, but I only recall 2 in my 8ish hours of playtime).
-Matchmaking is very very easy and fluid. If you want to play solo, you can do that, but it honestly is more fun playing with randoms than solo-at least at this point, since it is all so new.
-Graphics are very solid. Lots of attention to detail..it reminds me a lot of The Last Of Us. Another cool thing is when there are constant overlays of the city's maps, and from an outside perspective it seriously looks cool
-As cheesy as it sounds, the game makes you feel like you are an agent of a top-secret organization doing your thing to preserve life in post-apocalyptic NYC. It really does, and that is what matters to me.
Cons
-Really, the only cons at this point are the minor technical issues I encountered, such as clipping or textures not loading in the environment. Very minor stuff.
-Some might say the microtransactions should automatically be here, but the fact of the matter is I've paid them no mind and I never cared about them b/c I just don't spend money on them. Take that as you will.
-Accidentally shooting a teammate when you are trying to shoot someone who is rogue is absolutely infuriating and honestly needs some tweaking, in my opinion. I swear that a couple times I've gone rogue on accident for this very reason.
FYI: Since everyone compares this game to Destiny I wanted to state that I did not like Destiny, for a lot of reasons. I do believe that I will get a lot of time out of this game, however. Take that as you will.

Fun of Apocalyptic Proportions

Great game so far after playing for the first couple of hours. The game has robust customization, everything from Max including his gear, esthetics, stats and outfits to his car from bumper to bumper is customizable. This creates many possibilities for making the ultimate road warrior and ba death mobile :). Graphics look beautiful especially the explosions and sandstorms that randomly pop up. Combat takes a page straight out of the Arkham series which has since pretty much set the standard for melee combat. The addition of fury mode makes combat more visceral and satisfying as you plow down bad guys with awesome moves like body slams, dropkicks, clotheslines, etc. Overall it's a really fun game that anyone that has an interest in the Mad Max series/universe will enjoy. Everything is there including the eccentric characters(Scrotus, Chumbucket, etc.), car chases and other doses of fan service like earning the title Road Warrior. And lastly car combat is also immensely enjoyable as you feel every crunch that your car deals out as you smash through gates, towers and other cars :) or even if you decide to harpoon the driver and take their car back to base for large amounts of scrap(currency here) also being an option. In summary, if you're fan of Mad Max and/or apocalyptic games take this one for spin and have a fun time waging war and surviving out in the wasteland.
Final update 5 Sep 2015: After a couple marathon sessions (couldn't put it down) finally reached the end clocking in at ~45 hours playtime. Completing the game unlocked some awesome extras that harken back to the old Mad Max movies as well as allowing for free roam to tie up any loose ends. Much of the time was spent doing side quests and roaming the wasteland to unlock needed upgrades for Max and the Magnum Opus (his car). Yes it did get repetitive as the hours went as you might have heard, but the payoff was having an amazing death mobile that went from barely being able to haul groceries home to being a beastly machine that could easily take on heavily guarded conveys which is one of the more enjoyable parts of the side stuff. This also extended to Max and his myriad amount of moves for taking out bad guys from melee reversals and executions to wall finishers. Only downside to this game was some pretty noticeable sometimes crippling slow down in the middle of the more frantic parts of the game though it definitely didn't drag the game down too much for too long. In short, despite its small flaws here and there (slow down and repetitive elements) I stand by my original rating and still highly recommend this game.
