Vanilla Tv but that's just fine

I purchased this TV on sale for my garage so I had reasonably minimal requirements. For such an inexpensive set the image is good and the colors are sharp when viewing straight on. Moving off to the sides however there are some issues with screen glare and distortion. In addition, the speakers are lousy but that is common in most modern TVs so I did not expect much. I would recommend this TV to someone looking for a set for the garage/shop/guest bedroom.

Excellent sound but very large footprint

I purchased this speaker to replace an older one that just wasn't up to par with my newer towers. The sound quality of this speaker is excellent with very rich mid tones and is very good with dialog. For the price this sounds as good to my my admittedly uneducated ears as the one my brother in law paid more than 3 times for. The only thing I am not thrilled about is the size. It's enormous for a center channel speaker and really needs to be on a piece of furniture or in a cubby. For people that have the space for it I would recommend it for the price.

For a while I had a problem with distortion of the sound from my cheap rear surround speakers, and nothing I tweaked could eliminate the issue. So when these speakers were on sale I picked them up as replacements. Let me say first that they are really too large for most people to use as surround speakers but for me they fit fine. Even better, they allowed me to lower the surround level which eliminated the distortion problem but they are still putting out enough volume to do the job. Though I am not using them as regular stereo speakers I believe that they would be very nice speakers for a small room set up andvI will probably buy another pair for my office when they go on sale again.

Good upgrade from older mini

I got this for my wife to replace a mini 2 that was starting to get a little long in the tooth. At first she questioned if it was worth the cost to upgrade, but very quickly she was impressed at how much sharper the screen is and how much faster it functions. Side by side on the same image the improvement in the screen resolution is quite noticeable. Other than the screen and the improvement in performance it just does what an iPad is supposed to do.

Good, but surprisingly thick

I purchased this to go with a 24 inch insignia TV that has terrible speakers. I love the volume that this little bar puts out and I love the fact that I can control it with the tv remote. Connections are basic, but what I would expect for this product and I really appreciated that there was a 3.5mm to RCA adapter included simplifying installation. My only real problem is that as a "mini" soundbar it still stands too tall to sit in front of the TV on the table without covering the bottom part of the screen. I put the TV up on a 3/4 inch riser under the feet to get the right amount of clearance, which was no big deal, but I just wish that the bar had been thin enough to sit on the same level space without covering any of the screen.

Great Entry level floor speakers

I purchased a pair of these speakers to upgrade from a pair of bookshelf type speakers I had been using in my living room. At first I was a little concerned that the size would be a bit off putting, but I have found that they blend in pretty well.
Sound-wise these are worlds better than the bookshelf speakers (as they should be), and since I have never owned similar speakers I really have nothing to compare them with. That said, I am very pleased with the sound. The primary reason I purchased these was not for sheer volume, but for clarity, particularly of dialog, and I am extremely pleased with them in that regard. The only reason that I did not give them five stars is that I feel like the faux woodgrain cabinet is a bit cheesy, and the I am a little worried that the fabric on the face seems a little bit flimsy, but for the price I would expect that they would cut some corners

I purchased this to replace an older model streaming stick that was ruined after I took it on a trip. While I had heard that this newer model was a big jump up from the older stick I was really amazed by how much better it is. The form factor is similar, but the black finish blends into the background of the TV easier than the old purple one. More importantly the performance is in a whole new league. In fact I decided to use this stick to replace a Roku 2 I was using and moved the box to the garage where I had originally intended the stick to go. Everything loads faster and with the remote not needing line of sight to the stick it is much more convenient to operate. Overall I couldn't be happier with the purchase and would happily recommend it to anyone.

Basic Speakers that do what they should

I purchased these speakers to go with a small TV that I have on a desk next to my computer. The TV's integral speakers are poor and have an annoying hum. These speakers are small enough to take up very little real estate but plenty loud enough. They don't rate higher because I find the subwoofer a bit cumbersome (and of questionable usefulness) and the fact that close up, and at lower volume levels the speakers aren't really "crisp". All in all though they aren't bad, especially for the price

This cable allows me to connect an inexpensive, full-size keyboard for use with my tablet. This is very helpful considering how difficult I find it to type any lengthy messages on a tablet of this size. I haven't used the adapter for anything else yet, but I imagine it will be handy in other ways. This case is just as you would expect from an Otterbox case. It fits perfectly to the tablet and is extremely rugged construction. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is becasue like all of these type cases I have from Otterbox the integrated screen protector is very high gloss. This can create some glare issues in certain lighting conditions.

Will this accept a cable card?
I know it says it is "digital ready" but I think I still have to have the mini digital box from my cable company.... unless it will accept a cable card.
I believe "digital ready" refers to the fact that it has a built-in digital tuner. It is a standard item on TVs nowadays. I have mine hooked up to an antenna and it pulls in local digital broadcasts. Until recently, a digital tuner equipped TV could also be connected to cable without having a cable box, but the cable companies now scramble their signals (around here at least) so you need a set top box or cable card to decode. There is no cable card slot on this TV.
