This box set contains all 23 episodes from the second season of Millennium, the Chris Carter-created series that followed the life and career of serial-killer profiler Frank Black (Lance Henriksen) as he struggled to deal with the psychological ramifications of his work and how it affected his family. Each episode is presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio. A smattering of extra features allows the viewer to get a glimpse of the making of the show.

Darker Than "The X-Files"?
on August 12, 2015

Verified Purchase:Yes
The second season of "Millennium," the darker, more twisted cousin of "The X-Files" (it, too, was created by Chris Carter), actually takes everything that made the chilling first season so good and throws it out the window. With Carter back on "The X-Files" and season 1 producers Glen Morgan and James Wong (also from "The X-Files") in charge for the second season, the episodes got lighter and sillier (they brought back Charles Nelson Reilly in his "X-Files" role as author Jose Chung, for crying out loud!). Gone was the dark, gory underbelly that made "Millennium" good television. Thankfully, Season 3 of "Millennium" restores some of that darkness as it attempts to wrap up the series with a bow. Still better than most of what's being churned out today, though.
